A:Answer Zmodo products do not interact with Amazon Echo's.
This device is controled and notified through an app the user must download on their cell phone. This app allows for several devices to be monitored. There are 3 principle settings of HOME, SLEEP, or AWAY which you customise in the app. You can have them on a 24-hour timer or flip them manually. The app allows for several users too.
They have there own series of accessories. For example door/window sensors. The Pivot is designed to sense when it is triggered, turn and record in that direction. The pivot also provides temperatureand humidity information.
I utilize the Pivot as a means to monitor the front of my home. It records 24/7 and gives alerts to detected movement/sounds (and alerts to door/window sensors when I get them installed). I have a different Zmodo device monitoring my garage. Good WIFI is a must or your connections to the device/s will be sketchy.
Overall I'm satisfied with the products I own and intend to eventually add several additional sensors. For me it is primarily a means to keep track of my kids, pets, and the school children walking past.
