This is a great size slow cooker and has an easy heating system. Does a great job. Only wish the insert wasn't so heavy.

We bought two of these when they were on sale. We are a two person household and this 4qt. size is perfect for us. But it's big enough to make a meal and still have enough leftovers for another meal or two, if we want. I love that it automatically goes to a "Keep Warm" function at the end of the set cooking cycle. We bought one for our future daughter-in-law too. She's never used a slow cooker and loves the simplicity, now that she's used it. It's a basic slow cooker, but meets all the needs of our two person families.

I had given away my larger slow cookers but still wanted to have a small one for occasional use. The 4-Qt model is lighter weight, stores easily yet it holds contents of recipes specifying for use in a 4-6 qt slow cooker. The controls in this model are easy to use.

I had a bigger size (6qt) Crock-Pot which was really too big for my family size of 2. The new 4qt size was a much more practical size. The smart controls also makes the new pot easier to use since you can set it, leave for shopping, and not worry because it automatically turns down to warm when the set cooking time runs out.
