Setup was a breeze, I'm very satisfied with this purchase and happy to have less clutter in my entertainment area. For reference I've connected a Samsung TV, Samsung Speaker, Amazon Fire Stick, Amazon Echo Devices, Xbox One, PlayStation III, Wii U and Hue Lights. The activity works perfectly, my favorite feature I set it to is the 'Morning News' custom activity which activates both rise and shine lights and the TV setup and set news channel to turn on when I need to wake up and automatically turns off when I leave on weekdays. It's like having a backup alarm and helps set the tone of the day. Both the remote and the app and devices work in Harmony great ;)

This remote does everything. While we didn't program it ourselves, I understand that this is an option. It also connects to my tablet or phone so that I can access the same functions as the remote. This puts a remote into my hands while my husband has the real thing. The only issue is that the screen is very sensitive. Sometimes even without touching it performs a function. We asked if the sensitivity can be adjusted but it cannot. That and the price is why I gave it four stars.

No doubt that there's a learning curve to this remote but it's worth it. Setup was very easy since I was coming from a Harmony 650 and able to copy over everything from that to this new one. Didn't need to use any of the IR extensions. It just works beautifully. The remote is easy to hold and use one-handed. I like this versions of the remote since the screen is at the top and all buttons are together. Sometimes I forget to place it in the charging cradle but I always have a lot of battery left. Bought this in a package deal with Google Home at a discounted price so I can't complain about expense. There really are no downsides to this. Best I've had.

I previously used a Logitech 900 for about 5 - 6 years, and loved the RF functionality of it. I could have continued to use it for even longer, although all of my new equipment was bluetooth and network enabled, so I decided to trade in the 900 for a $100 credit on the Elite. I've had the Elite for maybe 2 - 3 months now, and I love it (when it works). There has been a few times where the remote just kind of locks up, and no matter what I press on the remote nothing will happen. I honestly don't even know what I do to fix it, as nothing I try fixes it immediately. What I usually do in those cases is put the remote in its cradle and let it charge for a night - even when the battery was completely full when it started acting up. I really like to be able to control my devices with bluetooth, as it's super fast response and I've never had to push a button twice for it to respond (which I did have to do every now and then with the 900). I also like that I can control devices via my network. I have a TV mounted on the wall, and I don't have a blaster anywhere near my tv, but since it can be controlled via the network I don't need to worry about pointing the remote directly at the TV and be line-of-sight for the IR sensor to process the command. I also like that the remote has a sensor in it that when you pick it up, the buttons and screen will light up. There's a setting to turn off that functionality if you don't want that, and it helps to preserve battery with that setting off, but it's a trade off that I'm willing to accept. I also like that macros can be added and assigned to different buttons, so if there's a sequence of buttons that need to be pressed for something to happen, you can assign those button presses to a single button and when you press it, all of those button presses will occur automatically. It makes doing certain things much easier. One other nice perk is that when you're setting up a new device, the software can search for devices that it can control over your network or bluetooth. I like that it can find them automatically and add them via the list of found devices rather than needing to type each one in. The remote itself feels nice in the hand, and it actually feels better than the 900 which I was quite happy with. What I don't like about the remote is that there's not any hard buttons for channel numbers. They're all on the touch screen, so I always have to look at the remote while I'm entering a channel number. I also wish that the remote's battery was easier to remove. The times when my 900 would act up, I would easily remove the battery and it would start up with all issues resolved. I wish that I could do that with this remote. Overall this is a great remote, and there hasn't been anything yet that I've wanted to do with my pretty complex system that I wasn't able to do. I would say that the folks at AVSForums can provide a ton of useful information on how to setup these remotes, as there are a ton of users there with these remotes.

I will keep this review rather short because I don't have anything bad to say about it. It does everything you could imagine. The setup was rather easy. Download the app, plug in the hub and type in your model numbers for the devices-the remote did the rest. I have Philips hue lights hooked up and when I turn my tv on, it goes to my favorite channel, dims the lights, and turns on everything I need. I absolutely love this remote. Maybe a little overpriced, but if you're like me, you'll use this everyday for quite some time. Quality is sometimes worth the price.

After 10+years replacing my old harmony remote so i could control streaming devices. Old remote still worked fine but couldn't support cutting the cord and getting Rokus. I ended up getting this with the hub but was not sure it was worth the additional money but after setting it up and using it I'm glad I did. The setup and management of the remote via a phone app is easy and convienient. The hub works great with the 2 ir transmitters (no more trying to point around objects). All in all I'm very happy with finally upgrading and hope this works as well as my last Logitech remote since it lasted me 10 years and is still working.

This is my third Logitech Harmony remote. Overall, I find the ergonomics and user experience to be very good. The hub is very useful at ensuring the commands reach all of my equipment, regardless of where I point the remote. It was easier than ever to set up the various activities and favorites, (Samsung has not provided Logitech the IR code for HDMI 4, which was a bit annoying as that has the ARC signal; therefore, I used HDMI 1 and the audio via the optical output). The design and feel of the remote is the best yet of the series. I do miss having physical number buttons on occasion, but that is a minor quibble. I highly recommend this remote system.

It took longer than I thought to sync all of my devices, but with a lil help with tech support it was well worth the time of set up. Now I can use the harmony to turn on my home theater and TV or turn on my TV and Apple TV simultaneously. It gets better I can control my bedroom tv or my Bluetooth speaker in the kitchen oh and did I mention my living room lights. Before I had 5 remotes, now I'm in Harmony with one and that's AMAZING!!

The setup is fairly easy. However, I have found that some of the codes need to be tweaked after the remote is set up. I'm still not clear on how to programs some higher-order functions, such as to turning on the television and selecting Netflix. This can get a little frustrating. However, it is very nicely designed and built. Programming it from my cell phone and not having to run into another room to use my PC is a big improvement. Overall it is very nice, but expensive.

    A remote that does everything

This remote was easy to program, and works exactly as expected. All electronics turn on with one button. I especially love how it integrates with Alexa. Now I tell Alexa to turn on the TV, or turn on Xbox, and through the remote, Alexa does as told! Our previous Harmony had a flat charger cradle that took up space. The Harmony Elite Universal Remote has a stand up cradle that takes up much less space. I was skeptical to purchase at first because of the price, but after using it for the past few weeks, I can say with certainty that you get what you pay for.

Easy setup, with just one important shortcoming

The setup is just about as easy as it gets when it comes to universal remotes. The main reason I purchased this unit was for the RF communication with the hub, which I placed with my equipment behind a closed door. Control of the devices in the closet was smooth as could be. It took a while to find the settings for the remote to use the infrared on the remote to control my television. The main shortcoming came when I would try to power everything on via the app on my phone or tablet which worked great with all the devices in the closet, however the television would not turn. This is because the remote cannot receive a command from my app to send the infrared signal to my television to turn on. This issue in not a problem if the hub is out in the open near the devices and your television (i.e. in an entertainment center) since the hub will send the ir signal to your television as well. If it had not been for this issue I would still have the remote, however I did end up returning it. I hope this will be fixed in future remotes or perhaps with a firmware upgrade for this remote. I will recommend this remote with this disclaimer to anyone who would consider this purchase.

This remote does it all very well. It is easy to set up on internet and simple to use. My only complaint is that it is still too easy to touch the screen inadvertently and change stations, etc. There is a lock, but would rather find another way to prevent a simple touch to change everything. Still better than any other logitech I have used in the past and I've had many of them. Would give it a 4 1/2 star rating, but system doesn't allow it.

This was recommended by a sales associate when I went to get a Directv remote replacement. It was on sale but seemed expensive compared to the alternatives. So glad I got it. It literally eliminated the need for any other remote. Was even able to link it with the Amazon Echo. Now I just say Alexa turn on the TV and it turns on the directv box, turns on the TV, sets the input to the correct setting and turns on the Bose sound bar. I can even ask it to change the channel to SyFy channel and it does it automatically. Highly recommended.

Set up was relative painless for my Sony flat screen, Yamaha receiver, Sony bluray and Cisco Explorer cable box. Other than the Cisco box all controlled items are 2017 models. A couple of issues: - Touch screen does not always work when touched. - Have to constantly reset hub for volume control to work properly on receiver; otherwise each push of volume button changes the volume by 1 db.

I'm impressed with Harmony. They did a really good job with this remote. It is easy to set up and works very well. It even works with the 4th Gen Apple TV! I am very happy with this buy. I currently have it set up with my Hue lights, Apple TV, Nest, LG Sound Bar and Samsung tv. It's a much better remote than the Harmony Ultimate One and Smart Remote. I actually returned those and it was well worth the extra money to go with the Elite instead. Highly recommend!!!

I would like to start by saying this is not my first harmony remote. They all are awesome at controlling many different devices. They problem I have is the laggy software on the remote especially when using the touchscreen. This version seems to be much improved over my old Harmony Ultimate but the issue still remains. If you are shopping and not sure which to get this seems to be the best for a long term solution.

Excellent Universal Remote w/ Smart Home Features

The Harmony Elite Universal Remote with Harmony Hub is a great addition for the modern day media center. Today's living room contains a dizzying array of hardware devices to provide entertainment for our family. Often this includes a Smart TV, a soundbar or AV receiver, DVD/Blu Ray/UHD Blu Ray player, a gaming console (or two), streaming media player boxes or sticks, computers, network connected speakers, and smart home devices, like lighting and shades, to complete the theater-like ambiance. The problem is that each of these different devices and media components comes with their own remote or mode for communicating with the device. In addition, the vast majority of media components still rely upon IR for receiving commands. Wouldn't it be great if you could use one remote to communicate with all of your devices to set up a media activity or even create an entire media scenario all without having to worry about making sure that one remote is properly pointing at all of the IR receivers? That's the problem that the Logitech Harmony Remotes with the Harmony Hub is trying to solve. The Elite level remote is capable of combining up to 15 different remotes into the one remote. By default the Elite remote does not communicate directly with your devices. Instead, it sends commands to the included Harmony Hub, which incorporates an array of IR blasters around its edges, and you strategically place the Hub in a spot which can either have line of sight to your IR receivers or can bounce IR signals such that your IR receivers will receive the commands. This allows you to select an activity, set down the remote, and all of your devices will properly receive all of the commands necessary for you to begin consuming entertainment from the desired source. Setting things up on the remote/Hub can be a bit confusing if you have never used any of Harmony's remotes before, but there are various places on the Internet, including Logitech's support web site, that will help guide you through the process of adding devices and incorporating those devices into Activity workflows. The Elite remote differentiates itself from the Companion remote in that it has a touchscreen for selecting Activities and to display user created Activities, while the Companion remote only has physical buttons. Also, the Elite remote to can combine up to 15 remotes while the Companion remote will only combine up to eight. Also, the Elite remote is rechargeable with a base station to hold the remote while it is charging, while the Companion remote utilizes a non-rechargeable CR2032 battery. Aside from being able to list custom user Activities, the touchscreen display on the Elite remote allows you to correct the results of an Activity mishap. Perhaps the soundbar or the TV did not end up on the correct input, maybe because of interference from HDMI CEC, you can use the touchscreen as a means to quickly correct which input the TV or soundbar is set to. The touchscreen also incorporates gestures, which can be used on certain activities, such as pausing, fast-forwarding, or rewinding when watching a Blu Ray movie. The downside of the touchscreen is that it is always there ready to receive touch input. So, be sure to set the remote out of the way of your hands and feet while enjoying your media. Otherwise, you might inadvertently power off one of the devices or switch to a different Activity altogether. If your family wants the familiarity of a remote to control your media devices and you have more than eight devices to control or have various custom Activities that you want to create, then the Elite remote with Harmony Hub is the way to go.
