I had an Electrolux bagless vacuum for the last 5 years. It finally had gotten to a point where it just wasnt picking up like it used to even after cleaning it and changing the filters. I read the reviews on this vacuum and thought Id give it a try. I was so impressed with it the first time I used it. I couldnt believe what all it picked up after the first use (I had just used my old vacuum before hand). My family has been loving it ever since we bought it!! I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I purchased this vacuum as a replacement for my previous one that I had trouble with getting pet hair out of carpet and off of the furniture. This one works very well at that! There are a lot of features that help get to places that I couldn't easily get to before such as under low shelves and above window blinds. It works very well on carpet and hardwood. It is very easy to use and has reduced my cleaning time significantly.

We were looking to get a Dyson, and then happened to come across a woman in Best Buy that was demonstrating this vacuum. I'm glad we spent the money on this one, it's worked great. The only thing is getting used to it trying to drive itself and it feels a little heavy at first. Love the LED lights, and all the options to turn it into a canister, and it has the power with just the hose.

I hate cleaning, but this makes it so much easier. It has lots of suction that will clean baseboards without scrubbing. My son likes it as an upright, but I like to use it in the "canister" version. So simple to convert between the two styles, and use with the attachments. I bought another top brand about year ago, and hate it. I did my research on this one, and I am beyond pleased.

After shopping quite extensively online over a variety of stores I discovered it was very hard to compare prices and models from store to store. Many stores carry different model numbers that at very similar but yet different in some way that may end up being very important. In fact, I went into Best Buy prepared totally to buy a different model than the one I ultimately purchased.
Upon arriving at the store, I reviewed the model I was ready to buy and found that there were features I needed that were not included in my original model. Specifically, I was looking for a powered upholstery tool. I with help from the sales associate, discovered that there were 3 different types of this tool.
1) unpowered- just suction
2) vacuum powered- only as strong as the vacuum that powers the brush
3) motorized- motor driven power brush
I wanted the motorized tool as pet owner would obviously benefit from. This left me with much fewer choices which led me to purchase the NV755. I was very happy that I was able to ascertain this prior to buying the wrong unit.
Then on top of that, I noticed that this vacuum was on sale $30 cheaper the next week. Best Buy made good on that sale price! Overall, I'm very happy with this Shark Vacuum. This model is also the XL size container.

We live in the country and have 7 cats and a small dog that probably spend more time in our house than my family does, so there is an abundance of dust, fur and crud on our floors and furniture. I bought a Dyson Animal a few years ago because it was supposed to be the best vac for pet owners. Well, I hated it and was happy when it finally died. I did plenty of online research before going to my local Best Buy, and I ended up buying the Shark - Rotator Powered Lift-away Xl Capacity Hepa Bagless Upright Vacuum. This vacuum totally exceeded my expectations! First, I could not believe the amount of dirt it pulled out of the carpet the the Dyson left behind. Seriously, the carpet FELT clean and fluffy to my bare feet! Second, the attachment for cleaning hard floors is amazing! It sucks up all of the dust and fur wads with ease! Third, the brush attachment gets ALL of the cat hair off of my furniture. I love the versatility of this vacuum, plus how easy it is to use and how easy it is to clean the collection bin and filters. This vacuum totally blows away the Dyson and is a much better value for the price! I actually enjoy cleaning house with my Shark!

We have high pile carpets and hard wood floors and this Shark works better on both than the Hoover or the Riccar we used previously. It is easy to switch from one height to the other. Price was reasonable, particularly on sale.

We unpacked the vacuum and was able to assemble it very quickly. We gave it a test run and I was very happy with its out of the box performance. I was not as pleased with how much it was pulling up that my previous vacuum was not getting from a few days earlier. This vacuum is an outstanding addition to our household and we look forward to using it again.

Its been great so far! I bought this when it was the deal of the day. It was about $238.00 after taxes, retail $399.99. Very powerful. I can feel the suction on the carpet when i vacuum. Also very easy to use. Much easier to dump the tank than my last Shark vacuum. 7 year manufacturer warranty. Definitely reccommend.

The only reason not all 5 stars is its heavy when all connected as an upright. When in caddy it's nice and light but the wheels on caddy aren't very good so dragging it along as clean. The suction is even very good on wood floors to pick up dog hair and the low carpet setting great for getting fur out of carpets! I still prefer over old Dyson.

After owning various Dyson models for the past 10 years, I never thought I would be happy with anything else. Boy, was I wrong! This vacuum exceeded all expectations by a mile. I can't recommend it more to anyone, particularly loyal Dyson owners.

I previously used a Dyson ball vacuum, but purchased this instead based on reviews. Though I was pleased with the Dyson, I feel that the Shark is much more versatile, and just as powerful. The lift away canister is very easy to detach and re-attach, which makes it easy to vacuum under beds, tables, and chairs. The cord is long enough to allow me to vacuum half the house. It is easy to empty the dust chamber, and the XL capacity takes a long time to fill, which means less emptying. And my favorite attachment is the powered brush, which makes cleaning the car a breeze. I have owned this for about three months, and I have no complaints.

This is an easy to use lightweight vacuum that performs like a heavyweight. It has a removable canister for use on stairs and a powerful suction..With 3 Dogs and 4 cats it has to perform and be easy to use.It does. It is also easy to clean after each use.

The Best Vacuum I’ve Ever Owned

I thought the suction on my Dyson was incredible....then I bought the Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away XL Capacity HEPA NV755. This vacuum is a powered cleaning machine. When cleaning carpets & you turn the power on, it’s like shifting a car into “Drive”; it moves forward without pushing it! When you pull the vacuum back towards you, you can feel the strong suction of the machine.
It has headlights on the rotating brush; I love that you can see the area you are cleaning. Especially when maneuvering into dark places, like under the bed, in closets, etc.
Headlights are also on the wand and the handle, so no matter what attachment you use, with the long wand or the short handle, you can see what you need to target: a cobweb in the corner, some dust in a dimly lit area, or next to a piece of furniture.
The dust cup fills rather quickly, especially the first few uses, because it’s sucking up all the dirt your previous vacuum left behind. So the XL capacity is useful. Visually, you can see the level of dirt in the canister and know when to empty, which is a simple task.
The swivel steering gives you lots of control going around furniture.
The transition from carpets is a convenient switch on the handle, as is the power button.
It comes with a separate hard floor attachment with dust pad if you choose to use it. It does a great job of leaving hard floors very clean without a trace of debris.
I probably sound like a commercial for this vacuum but I can’t tell you how impressed I am with this vacuum. If prices in circulars seem too high, you might try going into a store to view the prices. Best Buy had it advertised for $399 but the store had a $199 price tag on it! I couldn’t resist and I’m glad I didn’t. My house has never been so clean!
I haven’t even mentioned the lift-away canister, but it’s another option that adds to this vacuum’s cleaning ability. Carry the canister with you or put the canister on a canister cart. It rolls behind you and the 30’ cord gives you more than enough length to walk long distances.
There are a lot of attachments, including the mini motorized brush for upholstery and other uses. The NV Shark Rotator Powered lift-away XL is an outstanding vacuum.

Purchased this when it was a Deal-of-the-day for an amazing price. This Shark Rotator vacuum is replacing my old Shark Navigator, and I can definitely tell how much better it cleans compared to the old vacuum. The carpet looks brand new again with the new vacuum, compared to my older Navigator, which left the carpet looking like I barely vacuumed (the carpet was looking pretty worn out, and it is not even 3 years old). The suction on this thing is amazing! I kept the older vacuum maintained well, cleaning out the canister and blowing off the filters at least once a month with my air compressor, along with cleaning off whatever wrapped up on the brushroll, but it just didn't come close to cleaning as well as this new Shark Rotator. Great price, great looks, and amazing suction!

We were caught between a Dyson and a Shark and couldn't make up our minds. Was the Dyson worth the extra money? After physically playing with both of them we chose the Shark. It was a good choice. It's very powerful and did and amazing job. It's very easy to use and the additional accessories are fantastic. Both my wife and I have been very impressed. We've only had it a few weeks, so its durability has yet to be proven. Only time will tell.

Husband and I purchased this to replace an ancient Hoover. Pros: good suction and the light on the hose unit makes it easy to see debris along walls or in corners. Cons: maybe some people use all the various parts that come with the unit, but I find it too cumbersome to assemble and disassemble them. For a stronger man or woman this unit would be fine. But at our age, we find the unit heavy and cumbersome with its stiff cord and large bulky base. Yes, removing it from its base makes it lighter, but then you have the base with its various nozzles to drag around with you from room to room. Maybe with time and experience, we will come to like it better. I've only used it twice so far and husband 3 or 4 times.

Got this on a deal of the day and have had it for about a month now. So far we are very happy with it as it replaced a 4yr old Shark vacuum. It has tremendous sucking power to get dirt out of the carpet and was bigger than I expected after the previous Shark's we had.
Having said that it is a bit of a beast compared to our previous Shark vacuums and even compared to the Dyson's we had before our last few Shark's. From box to use it was maybe 10 mins tops to get out of the box and have setup ready to use. One nice feature is the upright or canister configuration option. Depending on your house or the size of the person using it the canister option might be a good one due to the size and weight of this bad boy.
It comes with multiple attachments and a bag to carry them in which is nice. The main hose that sucks everything into the collection canister is much more heavy duty than previous Shark vacuums we have owned (and consequently also the part that broke most often to be replaced or to be held on with duct tape). This was a nice surprise and welcome design change to hopefully allow us to use this one for many years. Emptying it is easy and the LED lights on the front are nice when working in a darker part of the room or in corners.
Overall this vacuum has performed beyond our expectations and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a solid option to those $500 ones and even better if you can grab it on sale.
