Been shopping for a vacuum for sometime. Have been using a canister vacuum till I found this one. Very easy to assemble, great power, no loss of suction. Good value for the money. With all the attachments it is a very versatile vacuum.

Would totally without any regret recommend this vacuum to friends and family. Super powerful and easy vacuum. Love it. Have had many many vacuums but this is the best ever even over rainbow and bissel.

This vacuum offers a power nozzle with good suction and easy to roll across our rugs. The nozzle is easy to get under many pieces of furniture. We like it to this point.

I shopped for a few weeks for a vacuum, reading all sorts of review articles about the best vacuums for homes with pets as well as a lot of customer reviews. I didn't have a budget for my purchase, I just knew that I needed a vacuum that was great at removing pet hair from carpet and hardwood floors. We have 5 dogs, 3 boys 11-15 and 1 grown son with a 3 yr old son, so we have a lot of pet hair and dirt on our floors. Our carpet is very thick and dark so the pet hair stands out quickly. Saying that I was absolutely amazed at what was picked up by the vacuum from about a 2ft x 2ft patch of carpet in our bedroom is a huge understatement. I couldn't believe what it picked up, especially since I used my Kirby vacuum right before I used the Shark. So I would definitely recommend this vacuum to anyone with pets for sure. It works great on carpet and hardwood floors alike. Also, the attachments are easy to use and to transition to. I was a little worried about it being difficult for the kids to use or to swap from hardwood to carpet but they haven't had a problem doing it. The only thing that I could say negative about it is that it's a little top heavy when using as an upright but it doesn't make it harder to use. I LOVE MY SHARK!!! I just wish I hadn't wasted so much time deciding to purchase it! Oh I had purchased a Dyson before this one and ended up returning it which is why I did so much research before making this purchase.

Overall, I am very pleased with his machine. It works well in every situation for which I have used it. It is very versatile - it appears the designers tried to allow it to work in any situation they could think of. The problem with this is that I have had to refer to the owner's manual several times to figure out how to put the parts together in the way I wanted to use it. My other complaint is that, with the canister attached for using it as an upright, it is a little cumbersome and off balance, and having the canister on the stem means that it won't go under my furniture very far. Otherwise, it is great! I especially like that, when used with the caddy or when carrying the canister around, it easily sweeps under my furniture all the way to the wall. It also has very bright lights, and I can see every speck of dust and every pet hair. I am allergic to dust mites and pet dander (I live with two cats and two dogs...), and I do not have increased symptoms after vacuuming, like I did with my old machines. It was offered at a discounted price, and, at that price, it was a very good buy.

I love Shark Vacuums. I was a little disappointed with this purchase, but its better than Dyson. This vacuum had great reviews as most Sharks do so I didn't hesitate to buy it. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is the vacuum is very heavy in my opinion and very loud. Also I don't think the suction is as good as the NV501 that I use to have.

This is an amazing vacuum! The power it has is unmatched! It is a bit on the heavy side, but it is the XL so I was somewhat expecting that. The attachments snap on within seconds and everything is remarkably user friendly. Shark really thought of everything with this one and left nothing out! The hard floor attachment is our favorite part. No more sweeping for us!

This vacuum picks up great and is like a transformer when it comes to versatility. If you are debating between this one and the smaller one, we were happy we picked up the xl. The storage containers are not that big when you have a whole house to clean. Overall suction is great, hard surface button for the roller is now a must and the versatility is awesome. Amazing what this thing picked up after our old cheap vacuum was used!!

I did a lot of Extensive Research Online and in Stores before purchasing this Vacuum. The Shark Rotator Lift-Away XL is by far the best Vacuum I found. Everything the description says it does is totally accurate! I would definitely recommend it for all ages and Floor Types.

This vacuum performs better than our old Dyson animal. Right out of the box it was easy to set up and had a full canister of dust after vacuuming our living room, and this was after we had gone over the area with the Dyson. The multiple options for vacuuming and easy switching between settings is very convenient and efficient. I'd recommend this over a Dyson due to the performance and price.

This is our second Shark, and is even better than the first unit. Great power, easy to use and and easy to maintain. No complaints after a month of use.

So I have been a Dyson fan for years. And typically I just accepted that you pay more for better product. But a friend pushed me to try the Shark. And I instantly became a fan of Shark instead. It's powerful, easier to use, makes less noise while running...it really offers so much more at a lower cost when comparing to Dyson.

This is a very powerful and versatile machine. It combines the best features of upright and canister vacuums. Very satisfied with it thus far.

After much money spent on a couple of Kirbys and several other brands finally this seems to provide the cleaning power and versatility my wife has been looking for in a vacuum. The end of the quest is here.

I really like the quality of this vacuum. It's bagless and the turning radius of the base really get's it into more tight spaces than any vacuum I've had before. As I'm sure you have read this vacuum is highly customization - i.e it can be an upright, canister, the wand detaches etc. I'm not used to this and sometimes it's a little frustrating to get used to, but overall I like the options and I think this will be a great vacuum for many years to come. Suction is great. have to empty the - is it called chamber since it's bagless - alot with our wool carpets, but no big deal.

I usually don't describe a vacuum as AWESOME but this one is. It works so much better than my $1500 vacuum. It was so easy to put together. And it isn't difficult to change the attachments...one click & you're done. I wish I had made made this purchase sooner.

I bought this vacuum as a replacement to an aging Kenmore. I assembled it in a short amount of time. The vacuum has 3 settings: Hard floor, low pile, and high pile carpet. I first tried the vacuum on a newer plush carpet (high pile). I was able to easily vacuum the carpet, and, wow, the dirt/dust/pet hair it picked up was unbelievable (almost disgusting!). I will say that vacuuming almost becomes addicting, because so much dirt appears in the canister. I then tried the vacuum on a hardwood floor. The LED lighting lights up all the things you'd want to vacuum up. It basically is just suction in this mode, but it worked great. Finally I moved to a low-pile carpet, switched the vacuum to that setting. Again, I was amazed at what this vacuum picks up. I almost wonder if one day the whole carpet will be sucked into this vacuum. This is a great vacuum, and it is really easy to empty the bagless container. I've also cleaned the brushes and the internal foam filter a couple of times. Both were fairly easy to do. Also, I got a really nice price when it showed up in the Best Buy "Deal of the Day".

This vacuum sucks amazing, is easy to carry and user friendly!!
