I had the Hoover - Air Lift Deluxe Bagless Upright Vacuum before I bought this Shark. I liked it, but it ended up breaking as I was trying to put the dust container/compartment, whatever you call it back on. When we went to return it, best buy didn't have the same one in stock. This is my 3rd vacuum in 2 years, and this one is absolutely fantastic! My floors feel softer, it is way more efficient at picking up dirt and dog hair. The attachements that come with this particular Shark are pretty cool. I love that the whole wand comes off, I don't have to bend over when I am edging around my living room. The LED lights on it might seem a bit over the top, but make a ton of difference. This is the best vacuum cleaner I've ever had in my life!

I recently bought a home and only had a mere shop vac which is horrible on carpet. So when I checked out the house, it looked like it has been vaccumed, or so I thought. I vacuum the master bedroom, yes just 1 room and it filled the canister up with the previous owner's dog hairs and who knows what. This thing made my carpet look like it just got shampooed! Wow! I'm so glad I got this vacuum instead of a Dyson. The attachments are all there and it makes it easier for me to vacuum under the bed without having to move or tilt it up. This model seems to go on sale white a bit. I got it for $199 on a Deal of the Day so of you don't need a vacuum right this second, I would wait til it comes up again!

We love our Shark for the flexibility of being able to be an upright or canister! Makes cleaning under the beds so much easier. Good power and suction. The accessories also make cleaning easier. We love this sweeper!

Purchased this for my wife who was wanting a new Vacuum. She is absolutely in love with it. She says it works better than any other vacuum we have ever owned.

I have been searching for a versitle vaccum for 25 years and this one is it! No clog, great suction, so many options. Can be used as a stick, cannister orupright. Converts easily and has power to deep clean.

Vacuum seems to work really good. My only complaint is that it does not seem to clean bare floors as well. It does great on carpets.

My old vacuum was leaving quite a bit of dog hair behind in my medium length carpet and this sucked up so much I had to empty it twice the first time I used it. Emptying it is relatively straight forward. I haven't used all the attachments/accessories but so far they seem good. It is a little confusing about where all the attachments are stored on the vacuum (there are designated spots for some and apparently not others?). But assembling the vacuum was pretty easy with the manual. It runs fairly quietly, and has a great turning radius. Because the bottom part is not very tall, it is easy to reach pretty far under couches and other furniture.

After comparing vacuums, we decided to purchase the Shark for pet owners vaccuum. We weren't very impressed by the young salesman; but we had done our research ahead of time. After a quick read-thru of the directions, we assembled our new machine and got to work. We are no longer fans of the Dyson vacuums!

This is the best vac I've had and especially for the price. It goes toe to toe with all the high vacuums I've owned.

The vacuum that I had before didn't really pick up anything on my thick carpeting. The amount that this vacuum picked up was shocking. From just one room, it had picked up so much I had to empty the dirt cup twice. When I moved my recliner(because I was having a new one delivered). There was about 25+ years of dirt and with the mini motorized brush attachment, it had no problem getting all of those years of dirt up. If you have a thick carpeting in your house this is a great vacuum. The only downside is that it is on the heavy side. About 28 pounds so it would probably be too heavy for someone that has a house with multiple floors.

When our Dyson died I researched multiple vacuums and at the advice of multiple family members looked further into the Shark brand. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 kids so I wanted something very powerful. This model is perfect and the suction power the best I have ever seen! Our carpet looks like new again and the fibers stand right up. I love the adjustable settings for bare floor, low pile (area rugs) and thick pile (carpet). The filter is very easy to clean and drys fully overnight. The feel of this vacuum is substantial and in no way feels cheap. This is the best vacuum I have ever had!

Has excellent suction. The ability to turn into a handheld canister to do the stairs is great, not too heavy, and is still using the main vacuum motor, so stairs are just as clean as everywhere else. The furniture attachment gets up all of the pet hair too!

ok - at first I didn't like this vacuum when I had it in the upright position, I will not lie it is heavy - (good arm workout) but the pick up is wonderful. what really turns this around to a 5 star rating is you can convert to a canister vacuum which gives you wonderful access to under the beds, furniture ect. the accessories that come with, the best. the "pet hair attachment" is great to vaccum furniture and stairs. I don't have a pet, but by did this get things clean. the other great feature is you can detach the tunnel and hold to easily use the attachment to clean blinds, ceiling corner and the like. the suction and pick up is fantastic, my carpet actually looked like it had been freshly cleaned it looked so good. I went from being wary of it, to reading the directions to use it the other ways, to loving the machine! I will still use it in the upright position too, for the arm workout of course!

I have 4 dogs, 3 bird dogs and 1 Yorkie. They shed like mad! I have never had a vacuum that could keep up with their fur, not even my Kirby or my Rainbow; until now! I also love the versatility of my Shark. I can use the lift away by itself or as a canister, if I so desire. I also like the floor attachment with the washable pads because the pads pick up whatever dirt is not vacuumed up. Then just toss them in the wash with your towels and they are ready for the next time. My vacuum came with 1 pad, so I ordered more from Shark.com. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Shark!

Does an excellent job on high pile carpeting with the high pile setting and on hard floors with the hard floor (max suction and roller off) setting. On hard floors either the brush head w/roller off or the suction w/pad head work well; the suction/pad head is lower in profile and more articulating than the power brush head. The power brush head has too much suction on the low pile setting on both high and low pile carpets to the point it is extremely difficult to push, pull or maneuver. The caddy provided allows it to be turned into a canister style vacuum cleaner and it would work well in this configuration if the hose would easily accordion extend and remained extended, but it doesn't which results in the business end being dragged just behind you and in your way.This vacuum cleaner is best used as an upright.

This is the best vaccum I have ever owned. It is so versatile. The power is amazing. There are several different attachments making your job less of a chore. This vacuum actually has so much power it moves itself, like its self propelled. I can be vacuuming my floor and in less then 60 seconds have it converted to a handheld vacuuming the stairs. Ive bought a new vaccum every 2 years due to a variety of issues and challenges. This is my lifetime vaccum. I don’t normally rave over something so silly. It’s just that wonderful!
