Expensive but performed well against the smoke. It's so discrete, it almost disappears in the living room, which we wanted. Have recommended it to others suffering in CA. - Quiet function is on the low setting.

Ran this filter daily after a remodel and air quality greatly improved. I like the different modes which adjust the volume of air that this unit filters and although noisy in Turbo mode, it moves a ton of air. Id imagine this unit can be used for a larger space than stated with little detriment to its efficiency.

The Honeywell is being used in our family room/kitchen area that is much larger than the 465 Sq Ft that it is rated for and it still cleaned the Northern California fire smoke out of the space. Ran it on high mode (Turbo) for a few hours then reduced it to the normal mode and it easily maintained the space. During the worst of the smoke (we had orange skies on the worst day), it still kept up with the smoke coming down our fireplace chimney. I purchased two additional units putting one in the bedroom and took one to my office. It is on the loud side in the highest setting, however in the lowest setting it provide a purr that works just fine as white noise while sleeping.

overall Ok - better if setting for more than 8 hrs. and that the replacement filters didn't cost about half of the initial cost of HEPA

I have MULTIPLE allergies and had gotten to the point that it was difficult to breathe through my nose, even with my allergy medications. Within 2 hours of using this, I was comfortably breathing through my nose!
It’s easy to pick up and move. The 4 filters, including one for odors, are easy to replace.
It’s a bit noisy on high, but reasonably priced and was ranked reasonably high by Consumer Reports.
On high, it puts out a good amount of cool air so place it in the room to accommodate your tolerance for this.

I bought this product when my mom was visiting who is allergic to cats, which I have two. I put this in the room she stayed in and she has zero issues. The air smelled cleaner and works great now in living room cleaning the air. Only thing that sucks is it’s a little louder but not super loud. Loud enough you know it’s there but if on a low setting never hear it.

We've had this in service for a bit over two weeks now, and I find its features (three levels of air flow, 2-4-8 hours or endless operating time) to be quite useful. Also, it is quieter than I was anticipating after reading a review in CR. I can't judge yet how expensive it will prove to operate. But so far I am satisfied.

This replaces a Holmes air purifier. This unit is much better than the Holmes. Its quieter, (unless its on turbo) moves more air and my apartment stays fresher with less allergy problems.

I live out in the country surrounded by agriculture. My home AC units have extensive prefilters on the unit itself and still with amount of dust that surrounds me I needed something else to control my allergies. I purchased my first Honeywell air purifier three months ago and since then I have purchased two more of the same Honeywell air purifiers. They have worked wonders for my allergies.

Charcoal smell for about 2 days but afterward seems to be working wonderfully. With a house of Doberman Pinchsners, I can already notice a difference in air quality and smell. I can breathe easier and no longer wake up stuffy.

Easy to operate, several settings, from barely hear to a turbo setting and sound. Feel our breathing and allergies are much better this spring. We have 4 acres of trees just at our home. Lots more in our area why we are called green country. Worth the price for sure

My wife and I bought this filter to help us stay in our house after our living room ceiling collapsed spilling a lot of attic insulation on our furniture. The dust from that insulation was distributed throughout the house. There was so much that we thought we would have to vacate the house during clean-up. The filter cleaned the air in our bedroom in a couple of hours and has kept it clean ever since then. Although you can hear the fan in the unit it is not particularly loud and has not kept either of us up at night. I highly recommend this unit.

Works well. Relatively quiet. Numerous modes: Germs, General, and Allergens. Definitely needed in SF Bay area with all the fires each year.
Includes one "odor filter" and three HEPA filters. All are needed at the same time. It has a sensor to tell you when to change them. It says change the odor filter up to 4 times a year and the HEPA filters once a year.
I bought a refill pack. It only includes 4 odor filters (enough for one year) and only 2 HEPA filters, so I had to buy another one to be able to replace the filters once (since each time needs 3 HEPA filters). A little annoying and makes it more expensive.

This was bought for my moms basement. Its a pretry big open space. This definalty does the trick as far as controlling dust and controlling any cooking smells. She moves it to different locations daily and keeps it running pretty much at all times. She loves it.

I've had a consistent problem with dust since moving into my house several years ago. Recently, we began renovations and that created even more dust. Bought two of these air purifiers, and the dust has gone way down. Extremely pleased with my purchase.

The Honeywell Air Purifier for large rooms is great! Quiet, efficient, easy to operate, and works like a charm. Perfect for wildfire smoke, cooking odors, etc. It does have an industrial appearance to it but functionality is why what we purchased it. The problem is that it uses 1 charcoal black prefilter plus 3 Hepa white filters which Best Buy does NOT carry. They only carry the boxes of 1 charcoal prefilter plus 2 Hepa white filters. Honeywell and Amazon are both back ordered. If you sell a product then you should also sell the proper amount of replacement filters that it uses.

I purchased this air purifier to be used in my connected dining/living room and it works very well, The total area is about 450 square feet and it absorbs all kinds of stray cooking odors or random odors from outside. After a month of using it, it is still going strong and shows no signs of failure. I did see that the replacement filters were a bit costly; however, in my home with a lot of dust, it sucks it all out and doesn't show signs of a clogged filter a month into it. I believe the claims they make of the HEPA filters lasting 1 year and the pre-filter lasting 3 months. Definitely recommend!
