I've wanted one of these since my friend purchased one last year. When I saw it on sale Black Friday I pick it up without hesitation. In fact, I went back Saturday to try and get a second but the store was sold out so I had to order it online. It was still on sale! The sound quality is great on all but the loudest levels with the most bass you can force into it. Almost no distortion even at max, which is VERY loud. The battery has had no issues with run time. I use it at about 25/50 percent volume and got almost a weeks worth of nighttime background music play out of it. Much better than the 15-20 hours it says it should get. Recharge time from dead to full charge was about three hours using my computers USB port. Haven't tried it from an AC charger yet. All in all this is an excellent allnpurpose speaker. It'll go where you want and play as long as you want. And the party-up feature is nice too. I can get REAL stereo sound by using both speakers or I can have one in each room playing the same music. Can't wait to try the DJ feature that lets my friends queue up their choice of music rather than my preset playlist at our next dart night.

I have 2 of the original booms and bought these as an upgrade when they were cheap for Black Friday. These, like the originals, are fantastic for any scenario. Just buy them, you won't regret it! They are highly portable, have a very long battery life, they're waterproof and sound great!

I've been using a Braven BRV-1 for the last three years. It doesn't seem as loud as it used to, I'm not sure if it's age, usage or the fact that I always leave it in my car unless it's charging (it's been left in my car for some -17 degree winter nights and some 90 degree summer days). Anyway, it was time for an upgrade. My friends have a UE Boom and I liked it so I decided to get a Boom 2. I love this speaker! I keep it in my car all the time. The stock stereo in my Xterra is too much of a hassle to replace so I use my Bluetooth speaker for music. The Boom 2 fits in the console just below radio like a glove. The alcove amplifies the already loud speaker so much you can hear it clearly outside the vehicle (that's not what I'm going for but I noticed it one day when I hopped out to run into 7-11). It also fits perfectly in a cup holder. I used to like the square shape of my Braven but now I'm discovering how much more I can do with the round shape of the UE Boom 2. I use my speaker for disc golf, hiking, snowboarding, and just hanging out around the campfire, hot tub, or patio. The round shape fits perfectly in the side water bottle pockets of my disc golf bag, Camelbak, and camping backpack. It's waterproof so it's great for tubing, the hot tub, or the pool. The app is great for setting the equalizer and seeing the battery level and when I connect it to my friend's Boom with the Party-Up mode the two of them are crazy loud! I can't imagine connecting 3 or 4 let alone 50! Great battery life, love the flat cable charger included. If you're looking for a great Bluetooth speaker check out the UE Boom 2, you won't be disappointed.

Got this to replace an old speaker that did not have BlueTooth, and I love it! It connects really rapidly, the sound is booming like its name suggest, and the design is sleek. The speaker feels really sturdy as well. It has a mobile app that allows you to shut it off from your phone.

Let's get down to it. The UE Boom 2 has a lot going for it. It's a loud compact speaker that withstands a lot of punishment. Connecting to it and controls are fairly simple. My only gripe with this speaker is the battery life for my purposes. I work at a car factory and use this speaker to listen to my music which is mostly Country,Rap,Rock and EDM. For what this speaker is its amazing as stated earlier and I have dropped this speaker multiple times on concrete and while outdoors. It's battery life on full blast will last roughly 2 hours. On medium with lots of bass you can expect 4-6 and with low volume you will see the 10 hours or so of battery life. I don't think many people will need to have this maxed out but some of us do. I compensated this by hooking up my speaker with a Jackery external battery bank. TLDR: Pros Withstands brutal punishment Loud Doesn't "crackle" on high volume Cons. Battery life is on the weak side.

This portable Bluetooth speaker was exactly what I was looking for. I use it mostly in my apartment while streaming music, movies, or listening to audiobooks and podcasts from my phone and laptop. Long battery life, good sound, portable, waterproof, and on sale, perfect.

Great size speaker that is easy to hook up to iPhone. Loud speaker for inside outside and waterproof. You can't beat it. Compared many before I bought this one and I made the right choice.

I picked up this speaker as my previous BT speaker was working, but could not a hold a charge. I also wanted something that could take a beating as I have kids and love to throw everything they can get their hands on. I can safely say that after 5 months having this speaker, it rocks. The pairing process is seamless and while I have not really used the app, i have not had any issues with it (though UE has issued 2 iOS updates since I bought it). The sound nothing short of amazing, especially when you consider the size of this speaker, it is BT, and is using a battery. I mainly use this on vacations for my kids music when they sleep, but since it is all weather, we took it on the 2 beach vacations we took this. The sand and water had not affect on the speaker what so ever. in fact, my kids buried it in the sand and we have dropped it more than a few times. The nit i have is with the charger. Is use a standard USB cable, but if you are not using the yellow one which it came with, I have noticed 2 things: (1) When it is fully charged, the charging light still blinks with the non-UE cable where as with the UE cable, the charging light will be solid; (2) while the charging port is a USB cable, the entry is quite small, so you have use a small USB cable that does not take much space. I have several and oddly enough, they were all too big, so I have been using the UE cable, but just something to know ahead of time. On one trip, i brought along another cable and it didn't fit, but thankfully it was fully charged and it lasted us the entire weekend.

This speaker is absolutely amazing. Effortlessly connects to my devices, the speaker has incredible sound, the battery lasts numerous hours, and I can attest to the fact that it’s pretty darn waterproof and shockproof! Best speaker purchase I’ve made!

The sounds great. I have a Bose Soundlink color (original version) as well, and I believe that this one sounds better overall, though I must also say that from my in-store test the Soundlink color 2 appears to have even better sound. The battery lasts a long time, though I haven't measure it yet (neither have I run out of juice for that matter), and the design is really appealing. I would like to try the function of combining it with other Boom devices and spread them around, but I was not able to do it in-store, and I don't own other devices to test it so I can't comment on that. Most importantly, at the time of purchase it was less expensive than the soundlink color 2, but if it had not been the case I would probably had gone for that one so check your prices. If you do choose this one, I'm confident that you won't be dissapointed!

Bought this when it was on special for around $60 before Xmas 2019. For this price, I feel like this is a good unit. I had listened to Ultimate Ears and other brands at different price points before. I feel like there is a real difference in sound quality once you start approaching the $100 mark. Pro's - Build quality seems good; battery life seems good, compact size, bass is decent, volume level is good, easy bluetooth pairing, good phone app for managing the unit. Con's - sound with music is muddy, particularly in the mid and high range. Sound with spoken words like a podcast, is fine. The micro-USB charging connector is recessed on the bottom of the unit and is very cumbersome to get inserted.

Great sounding and very sturdy little speaker! I’ve gone thru a ton of speakers but this one has been my favorite by far! I still have and use this one so that right there says a lot! Most of my other speakers just don’t last very long, but they were also cheaper so the quality wasn’t there. It’s a heavier speaker but that has proven to be an asset to be honest, it doesn’t roll around when I set it on my dash (my cars radio picks and chooses when it wants to work so I have to use a speaker and my phone for music a lot) and it’s just the right size to not get lost in my bag, or kids messy room when I let them use it. The sound is great! Even has good base which is something not a lot of small portable speakers have… would definitely recommend, and have recommended, this speaker, and would even buy again if I needed to but thankfully I haven’t managed to loose this one (yet lol).. it pairs fast and easy

I went to Best Buy to purchase this speaker immediately after I left a child’s birthday party where a parent was using this Boom speaker to play music. The sound quality is amazing, the design looks great, it’s easy to use, and it stays charged for quite a while. I love that it’s durable (because I’m clumsy) and I love that it’s portable. I know that it’s waterproof, but I haven’t had a chance to test that feature. The fact that it was on sale that week was an added bonus.

Great sound. Excellent for "wet" areas like the bathroom counter or kitchen counter. Easy to pack and carry. Play 2-3 hours per day for 7 days without needing a re-charge

I was debating between this and the Bose Soundlink mini and tested them both for the 2 weeks that Best Buy allowed. The Bose sound quality was just a little bit better, but it wasn't very noticeable. The UE Boom seemed to get louder and with the other added benefits of the speaker, I chose the UE over the Bose. Other added benefits being it seems more durable, it's waterproof and it can be paired with a 2nd speaker if you happen to buy another UE.

My husband purchased this online on Black Friday at a great deal. He had been considering the MegaBoom, but eventually decided to try out the Boom 2 after reading the reviews and considering portability. When we opened this little guy up, we were not disappointed! It is noticeably smaller than its big brother, but the sound is incredible and has a lot of power! It easily connected to our devices using bluetooth and made our little apartment transform into what seemed like a live studio performance. If you are looking for a speaker that looks classy, is portable, and has an awesome sound, look no further!

My husband and I love this speaker . We had no trouble connecting it to blue tooth on our phones. We love be able to control the speaker with our phones. And the sound is amazing. We live in a 3 story house and tested it out on our 3rd level and could hear it from the first floor just fine. We use it often . The battery life is also awesome! Can't wait to buy a second speaker

Rugged Design. Easy to use App. Waterproof! Sounds is clear at volume levels. Pairs easily with other BOOMs and MEGABOOM. My buddy has one, making it fun to pair together.

I had first gotten one as a gift this past holiday season, and while I wasn’t thrilled (nothing to do with the product itself, I just didn’t feel like I needed a Bluetooth speaker), I gave it a shot and ended up loving it so much that, three months later, I bought myself a second one. Now, one of these alone is a great speaker. The sound quality is outstanding, I occasionally bring it in to use it while I work, and I’ve had many coworkers comment on how great it is. It’s a great size, and features a tough, rugged design, which is apparently completely waterproof (haven’t tested this myself, but I take their word for it). With the Boom 2 (and apparently any other UE Boom derivative speaker), you can use the app to “party up”, meaning you can sync supposedly up to 50 of these devices. Now I personally don’t have a need for 50 speakers, but I was interested in getting a second one when I read that with two speakers, you can change the sound output to stereo mode. Is it worth it? Yes, yes it is. The sound, while already quite excellent, becomes even richer. The price may seem a bit steep, but you can occasionally find one of these for around $100 (as of this writing, I had gotten my second one for that price at my local store).

I love the fact that I don't have to worry that if I drop it, the product will get damaged or not. In addition, it is water resistant, so I take it to the shower with me!!! It has outstanding battery life! It is one of my favorite purchases I have ever made! I am planning on buying this as a Xmas gift as well for my siblings!
