This is an extremely popular mic with YouTubers and podcasters. I sort of assumed it was because it's a great mic for a great price. Well, not exactly. It's worth what you pay for it, but it's nothing special. It does have one nice feature that changes the polarity of the mic from cardioid (focussing in on the narrator) to omni (sort of like your built-in laptop mic) recording everything in the room (like a meeting). The mic sound is nothing special, in fact, for all the hype I was quite dissapointed. It sounds as plastic as it looks. :( A much better mic is the old Shure SM58—a standard stage vocal mic for decades. Of course it's nearly twice the price AND you'll need an additional USB interface or mixer. So if all you want is a mic that's a little better than your built-in laptop mic, and simply plugs into your laptop via USB, then this is a good choice, but not at all professional.

Used the mic to record voice over's for a 10-minute video and the sound was crystal clear.

Does what I need... might be overkill and I just don't know It.. I only talk to my PC

Easy set up, great tone, looks good on the desk top

We were working on a movie presentation for a school assignment. The movie was looking great, but we couldn't figure out how to get the "voice over" to come out smoothly. This microphone was the perfect solution! We read other reviews before purchasing and decided it was a gamble with taking. Glad we did!

It is very easy to use. You simple take it out of the box and hook it up!

I needed a replacement microphone to do some voice overs for videos and bought this one based on the reviews. Considering the price, an excellent quality microphone. I was able to attach my pop filter to the included stand as well. A great value!

Great little mic for voice overs vocals and room sound. I want to play more doing field recordings with it as i think it will do well also. Its a fun and worth it investment. Im a fan of blue products they make some nice stuff.

This is my first experience with microphones and recording - seems to work fine for my needs. I don't think it would work well for professional broadcasters or musicians, the upscale quality isn't there.

I do online video courses. I have a Blue Yeti in my home office, but was looking for something smaller to travel with so I can record on the road in the Hotel. This Mic works perfect!

I love the look of the chrome version. It is a little big but not to bad. I am told that others can hear loud and clear. We added a boom arm and pop filter as well. Great setup.

This Blue Microphone - Snowball is fun to use and has features I use when I'm trying to record on my laptop. As a group our voices really stand out when I play it back.
