Wireless mouse addict in love for wired mouse!

Love this mouse stylish design, very responsive with no acceleration error (best first person shooter), adjustable weight, tunable surface, hyperscroll wheel, the G-shift button which increases from 11 programmable buttons up to 21 total. Last but not least, Logitech three years warranty! A must have for gamer and productivity!
TL;DR:
I'm a big fan of Logitech products! The main thing is about their warranty coverage where they usually send out a replacement unit for my defected unit without me returning them the broken one. Furthermore, due to Logitech's wireless technology and quality, I've been a wireless mouse and keyboard addict for almost two decades! I even have the G700S wireless gaming mouse yet I can't believe I'm in love with the wired gaming mouse G502! To be frank, this is the best mouse I've ever used! Why? Very Responsive and pretty light weight!
The highest DPI @12000 gaming mouse on the market! Do you need that? Probably not currently! Maybe when 4K or 8K gaming can catch up the paste, otherwise, I would say NO. But this also means there is no filtering, nor interpolation on the sensor at all! Everything is RAW data! Your hand movement is directly translated to the computer without any "contamination".
Since I'm gaming on a 1920 x 1080 monitor, if I turned all the way up to 12000 DPI, the diagonal travelling distance physically can be calculated based on the simple formula: 1920^2 + 1080^2 = 2202.9 pixels. 2202.9 pixels / 12000 dot/inch = 0.1836 inches. That means moving the mouse diagonally by only 0.1836 inches moves the cursor across the entire monitor! That's just too sensitive!
I am comfortable capping the sensor at 6400 DPI, but it really depends on your application and habit. I'm a big fan of First Person Shooter, and I particularly love to use this G502 for Payday 2, Battlefield 4 and Hardline. The on the fly DPI change is very convenient, because I can turn up the DPI to control the turret of a tank, fly a jet, and look around for enemies swiftly, while able to do precision aim by dropping down the DPI immediately with a single thumb button! However, there is a slight delay when using the DPI Shift, but it's still okay for intensive battles.
Surface Tuning:
This feature is important especially if you have special mouse pad patterns and material. I have noticed the improvement in accuracy after tuning. For example after tuning on a Steelseries cloth mouse pad and use the setting on a glossy wooden table, the cursor is choppy or jumps randomly, and vice versa. That means the tuning is a real deal!
Buttons and comfort:
I have the G700S, it is wireless and very comfortable especially the palm arch, which I think has better support than the G502. However I have trouble for the G700S G10 button getting stuck underneath the G9 button. This has been solved by my beloved Logitech warranty replacement program. However, G700S buttons are mushy and don't feel as clicky as the G502. The G8 and G7 for DPI switch buttons are more responsive than those on the G700S.
I can easily reach the G-Shift button or the Sniper button, which the G700S is lacking. (Yes you can still program the G700S to do that but the button location is not as comfy as the G-Shift on the G502)
The rubber coating on the thumb rest and ring + pinky fingers provide excellent grip. While the G700S' sweat proof coating feels like sand paper which I don't really hate it because soft rubber coating usually doesn't last long enough and they eventually melt! Only time will tell if the G502 rubber coating will melt within 3 years.
Hyperscroll Wheel:
This is one of the best features on the market. I can't use any other brands without the hyperscroll feature. This feature allows me to convert from distinct click to smooth scrolling long pages of documents such as coding, word documents, Excel tables, etc. The scroll wheel is a little bit slippery than the rubber padded wheel on the G700S and other Logitech hyperschool wheel products; however, I notice the metallic wheel on the G502 feels more pronounced and cleaner without collecting dust nor the rubber melting after several years.
Adjustable Weight:
There are 5 pieces of chevrons weight at 3.6g at a total of 18g inside a hexagonal storage case. The mouse itself is not very light and I think it's fine. The chevrons can be inserted neatly into the hexagonal slots at the bottom of the mouse underneath the magnetic cover for different weight distribution, such as changing the center of mass. This is an excellent design when you constantly need to pick up the mouse for re positioning.
G logo LED:
You can adjust the G logo blue LED brightness as well as the breathing effect. It's a minor disappointment that there is no customizeable RGB lighting like the G303.
Verdict:
The best mouse I've used so far who is a wireless addict!

The 6 year warrior of a workingartist/gaming mouse

(TLDR: From 3D Artist and gamer(hardcore and casual) POV. this mouse lasts long battery and quality wise considering have had it for 6 years. Super easily worth every penny. Only a true to meaning slight learning curve to getting used to it. )
So this is a review 6 years later after purchase and I will say this right here and now. This thing has served me so well from gaming (Hard/sweaty like gameplay), It has worked well for my 3d sculpting and modeling work (Zbrush, Blender, texturing even in things like Substance painter.) It's Battery is top notch for not degrading and holding up as long as it has too. Again shocked 6 years old.
If anyone ever has to wonder if this mouse is good please take my word as a veteran hardcore and sometimes causal gamer and dedicated 3d Conceptual artist and game modeling artist/designer. This mouse is "Solid" in all the right ways. And the funny part, the only reason I am making this post now is that I was honestly shocked it had been 6 years as I was looking to see if i had a warranty (yep I easily can see a 2 year warranty is not usable on a mouse that only started showing signs of issues after 6 whole years of gaming and working this beast of a mouse can handle.)
(Photos which explained in the below bits were taken on beige sketch bag so it was easier to see with a contrasting background instead of on its black mouse pad)
The things that started breaking down for those wondering.
1. Was the thumb side grip from just plain wear and tear (the one photo will show this first bit.)
2. In the last week recently, the right mouse button which happens to be clicking or double clicking when trying to click once or trying to press the button for a hold type action, like aiming down sights in a game or special actions in Blender and Zbrush. (click being the quick action press being a long hold)
My only complaint would be its initial learning curve for setup and running for setting up Macros. I use other mice right now since this one was giving out, but I do love this mouse and use it for lots of things where the right button is not as crucial.

Best gaming mouse on the market right now

Has one of the best gaming grade sensors, multiple programmable buttons, light weight (with all the weights removed of course) and great ergonomics. The cord is quality strength and does not kink. Left and right click feel very nice to press. Subtle RGB lighting, looks professional and not something that is gaudy and obnoxious.
This is the predecessor to the "AK-47" of mice, this mice is piratical for all types of gaming. The multi programmable buttons make it perfect for RTS's, MMO's and games like fortnite where you have multiple key bindings certain actions. The keys are layed out in a manner that make it very easy to press and you don't have to think about which button you are pressing like the MMO mice from corsair and razer where there are so many on the side you can't really tell what button you are pressing.
I have been using Logitech Gaming mice ever since the G500 came out and their software has drastically improved, especially their game detect system where the profile the mouse will automatically switch to the game when it gets launched.
ONLY downside is the scroll wheel is all metal, which mean if you get sweaty fingers during gameplay you might have difficulty scrolling. However with my experience I rarely used the scroll wheel during any of my gameplay.

When I buy a product. I usually do my fair share of research. So of course when it was finally time to replace my old mouse, I had a nice selection of mice to choose from.
In terms of after the adjustment period to the form of the mouse, this is one of the most comfortable and customizable mice on the market today. You can pop off the bottom to adjust small 3.6g weights to find your fit. And of course, logiotech's software makes working with this product a breeze.
I would definitely recommend this mouse.
Some mice I were looking at were: Razer Deathadder Chroma, Corsair m65, Logitech Daedalus

Exemplary mouse for an exemplary price

If you have 50-60 bucks to spend on a gaming mouse, and you happen to be in the market for a mouse that has:
- the ability to change DPI on-the-fly
- change the sensitivity of scroll wheel functionality
- adjustable weights and weight distribution
- User-friendly gaming profile management
- The ability to set multiple gaming/sensitivity profiles and change them on the fly
- a "sniper button" to "clutch" the DPI to lower settings during sniper fire in FPS
- an overall overwhelmingly positive experience
Then this is definitely the mouse for you.
I had purchased a Razer Deathadder Chroma earlier in the year as I'd read several positive reviews. However; upon using this mouse for no more than a month, I'd noticed that for the price ($60), it was very much overpriced and lacked several features. The ergonomics were great, but the features that many power-users want were simply not there.
Logitech's previous version of this mouse, the g500 has been lauded as one of the best gaming mice out there. And for good reason. It was comfortable, versatile for many various grip-types, and reliable.
The G502 is no exception. With the built-in thumb holder and the updated ergonomics, small-handed and large-handed users alike will find something to praise on this peripheral.
So to sum up,
Pros:
- listed above, also it's affordable!
Cons:
- Lack of RGB adjustable lighting profiles, but that has been addressed in the more expensive Proteus Spectrum
- It's thinner profile may prove uncomfortable for those with wider hands
- the mouse-wheel could have really benefited from a rubber grip rather than the metallic finish.
For the reasons listed above, I had to dock it a star. But if you're in the market for a new gaming mouse, look no further. Proteuscore MASTER RACE.

Pros:
I love this mouse. I had gone through 7 mice before I finally found this one. It can be held comfotably with any type of grip, palm, claw and finger tip are all great on this. Its most comfotable for claw though.
The mouse is very long so that might be weird to some people but the main mouse clicks are very consistent through the whole thing. It has 11 progammable buttons that are very easy to change. All are fairly easy to use too. The software for the mouse is great. Easy to understand and navigate and doesn't slow down performance and use processing power like others do.
There are 5 removable weights for the mouse so you can choose the weight you like with it.
Cons:
I barely have anything bad to say about this mouse. One complaint that a lot of people have is the color of the G logo and the wing on the left side. You can't change that so some people don't like it.
The only thing that I personally dislike about this mouse is that the mouse wheel is all metal on the outside. I would rather have it be rubbery. And it feels a little cheap. It has something that I believe is called "infinite scrolling." You press the button under the wheel and it can keep on spinning. Cool when you think about it but you never use it. If Logitech made the mouse wheel rubbery, a little more durable feeling and took out the infinite scrolling it would be perfect.
Last thoughts:
For the price of the mouse I personally could not find one even on par with it. The shape of the mouse is so comfortable no matter how you hold it. The rubber textured sides feel great and there's no slippage. And the mouse over all just looks really cool.
If you want a good mouse that will last a long time then this would be it.

This mouse is absolutely incredible! It is lightweight (can be customized to your liking with the provided weights) and the adjustable scroll wheel feels sturdy and secure. The mouse felt a little small in my hands at first but even after using it for extended periods of time (8+ hours a day at work) it is still very comfortable. The buttons can all be programmed (you can even store multiple profiles!) and I found the Logitech gaming software to be very easy to use! The light on it is fully customizable but as others have said, it's just the logo and DPI meter on the side. The color cycling feature is pretty neat though. Although expensive, I do think it's worth it for the button customization alone.

I have owned a lot of mice over the years. This is by far the best one. I had a G502 before but I had wanted a RGB version to match my system so I bought this and gave my wife my old G502.
The software is simple, like most logitech software.
It has plenty of DPI available for any gaming style and the weights help make the mouse feel better depending on your preference.
I have big hands, most mice feel small but this one fits decently and is comfortable even after hours of gameplay.
I would not second guess my decision and neither should you. It is well worth the price and will serve you well.

I've been a long time Logitech mouse user. I've gone through a few of their mice, from the original MX Revolution, to the VX Revolution (the laptop version of the MX), the G700s, and the Performance MX when my MX Revolution finally died. All of the above mice were wireless and the only one that did not require me to plug it in to charge (it used a charging cradle) was the MX Revolution (a missed feature, and one that Logitech unfortunately seems to have moved away).
I decided to finally give a wired mouse a shot for gaming and in short: this is a great mouse. It's very customisable, where you can assign keystrokes that the mouse remembers, rather than programming it into the Logitech software on your PC (and multiple profiles if you need that sort of thing). This makes it incredibly versatile, especially if you pair it with a XIM4 to play FPS games on PS4 or Xbox One.
The quality is typical Logitech: solid and built to last. There's a bit of light blue paint under the thumb rest that I'm not really a fan of, and I don't particularly care for LEDs on my mice, but that's thankfully an option you can simply turn off (though you cannot change the color itself, it will always be some variety of blue LED). The USB cable is quite long, and is a nice cloth braid.
I can't really comment on the DPI as I'm not an enthusiast FPS gamer, but it has a very high DPI and polling rate that I'm given to understand is strongly desired for FPS games. There are even weights you can stuff inside the mouse to suit your preference, though I ended up just cramming all of the weights in - it comes with a small plastic case to put aside unused weights, which is a nice touch.
The buttons are also quite useful for bindings and macros, so if you're playing an MMO or RPG with lots of abilities, this mouse would suit your purposes quite well.
Overall, I think this is another great mouse from Logitech, and one you don't have to deal with charging

I've been a die-hard fan of Logitech products for a long time, not only because their quality control is pretty good, but also their excellent customer service as well.
I owned a Logitech G9X before, and it went well until it has some problems with double click but only as fast tapping, which is not really comfortable for me since I play games a lot. That's why I file a warranty claim and surprisingly, Logitech sent me a G500s and did not even ask me to send the mouse back. However, the G500s is a tad heavier and the grip style doesn't fit mine, so I have to look for something new again.
My opportunity came when this mouse was on sale at $55 at Bestbuy, and I bought it without hesitating. At first I still doubted in my mind about how my product will go. But after using for couple weeks, I can safely say that this is one of the best gaming mouse I've ever had.
- Sensor: Optical, definitely top tier at the present, if not the best. Very precise, without acceleration. Although I must admit that some times the mouse I'm using does have some weird movements. I believe my mouse is defective in some way, and will get the replacement later on.
- Switch: feels okay, but I often right click easily. I guess it's due to the design. The hyperscroll wheel is always a pleasure to use.
- Build: Feels very sturdy and "mechanical". When it first came out, I thought this one is like a combination between Logitech and Mad Catz. The LED so far doesn't die yet.
- Design: basically for Claw grip or Finger tip, and a little bit small to some people.
- Feet: they looks kinda week and will get worn out in a while. When that time comes, you can go to ebay and search for G502 Teflon feet to fix your girl at a really cheap price.
- Software: still one of the strong points from Logitech, the software lets you set up dpi, polling rate, and macro keys. I myself really like the fact that now I can control the volume of the computers via my mouse or even open some tasks.
- Warranty: 3 years, which are great comparing to their competitors. Also, the Customer Service representatives are very active, and the process will not be a hassle at all.
Overall, a great product. Definitely recommend.
FYI, I owned Logitech MX518, Microsoft IE 3.0, Razer DeathAdder, Logitech G9X, Steelseries Sensei Raw, Logitech G500s, Logitech G602, Steelseries Rival. Was that enough credibility for this review? :)

Immensely satisfying; I having memory issues with short-cuts, I much prefer the natural extension of using this mouse. Programing the buttons supporting several profiles (I use 3: 2 for photo-editing, and business/home; it has me now interested in trying a game or two, too). I was planning on an 'ergo' mouse/trackball: tried 3, saw a review about using gaming mouse for photo-editing; so, tried, and wow....really nice, comfortable positioning -- I read a blog how to initially place the custom weights -- added an extra: mouse is 'neutrally' smooth, further enhanced by the cloth cord because it is't stiff; this mouse can be programed to what ever pad you use...it works. I mated it to the Logitech G240 cloth gaming pad--that purchased because of its design to support precision game playing -- perfect, smoothness for controlling/positioning photo-edit software tools....programing shortcuts and tool selections into select mouse buttons is awesome; software makes it relatively easy -- makes editing more fun, and efficient....and, I know this is silly, but, I really like how you can program a blue light to 'breath' inside it...I'm 62 years old....this should not be confined to your grandkids' use...get one...it and pad are the best---oh, I added a wrist pad, too -- perfect comfort for hours--though I should be getting out of the chair more often.

I actually received the g502 spectrum as a gift which was purchased here. I was switching from a logitech g402 to this. In all honesty I prefer the g402 in most cases. The sensor in the g502 is said to be one of the best yet I notice no difference at all between the two. I do not use settings above 2000dpi so maybe there is some above that but in my case it isn't important. The weight of the g502 is very close to the weight of the g402 without the weights installed. The only real plus for me over the g402 is the weights. I like the g502 best with 3 of the weights installed. With both mice I have issues at times quickly firing in fps games due to how I hold them. If your fingures aren't towards the end of the buttons the pushes become unresponsive and you could find yourself pushing down with nothing happening. If you palm grip it will not be an issue. I also like the braided cord. It is very soft and much more flexible compared to the cord on the g402. I am also a big fan of the rgb lighting. Even though all the lights in my system are blue I do like having the rgb option like my keyboard. The only thing I don't like at all is the scroll wheel. It is big, clunky and unresponsive. Playing doom I find it very hard to use to melee someone. Many times I have pressed it only to get killed because nothing happened. Unfortunately it happens alot trying to use the scroll wheel to melee so had to stop using it all together. It also feels very cheap while scrolling. It has a very heavy hollow tactile feel while scrolling that just makes it feel very cheap. With free scrolling on it feels much better but it spins so freely you can't play any games like that or you will be switching weapons every time you move. It's a good mouse but I find the g402 built better and there are other better mice out there with sensors just as good.

I bought this mouse as my old MS Sidewinder was around 5 or 6 years old now and I wanted something with a few more programmable buttons.
The sensor is very accurate and more than fast enough if you feel the need to really ratchet up the dpi. It's a good size for my claw grip. I like the adjustable weights, though I wish that the weight cover would snap into place rather than be held in place with a magnet, but so far there haven't been any problems.
I was sent the Spectrum model, and has color changing capabilities but is otherwise identical to the Core model. It does compliment my G510s keyboard nicely.
The only minor quibble I have is that the mouse wheel has friction and frictionless mode.. When it's on the frictionless mode, the mouse wheel is comically easy to turn, even gravity will move it. When it's on friction mode, it's actually harder to move than a typical scroll wheel. I wish there was a middle-ground setting. Also the button used to change the modes feels a bit flimsy, but there have been no problems thus far with it.
Overall there's a lot to like here. The mouse is fast, accurate, and the software is easy to use and allows for plenty of customization.

I really love this mouse and all of it's customizable features. I just came from using a simple 20 dollar optical sensor mouse with a it's highest dpi setting at 2400. I thought that was more than enough until I got this mouse and not I'm almost always at 2400 or 3000 bust sometimes use up to 4000 dpi while gaming. It's software is the best hands down and allows you to tune the mouse to any surface with a calibrating method that is simple and fast to use. I sound like an advertiser but I just really like this mouse. If you go in the store and hold it and like the feel then you'll like the mouse. My only complaint is that the led can't be changed from blue. Minor I know but it does bug me a bit.

Reviews on this mouse are almost universally positive, the only thing that kept me from purchasing was the price. Once it went on sale I jumped on it and am glad I finally got to see what was so great about it.
It's got a clean simple design, adjustable weights, RGB lighting, a great sensor, long braided cable, and very tactile and responsive buttons.
As someone who suffers from arthritis I only wish there was a pinky rest option but my grip has adjusted well enough and I use the mouse for hours a day for school and play.
If you've been considering this mouse you won't be disappointed, just do it.
