This is not a mechanical keyboard(clicky keys). I have owned both types of keyboards and I prefer this keyboard over the mechanical keyboard. It's quieter and I feel like it responds faster.
The RGB lighting is a bonus!

For those who desire a less flamboyant gaming keyboard that offers RGB lighting with positive feel, quick action and quiet keys, this one fits the bill nicely. It is heavy enough to stay put and the software works fine.

this is more than a keyboard, it's awesome! You can change every key to a different color, assign different profiles for different games. Very heavy so it doesn't move around on the desk while being used. Only downside so far is no dedicated macro keys (can be programed though) and the spacebar seems kinda flimsy.

This is a great keyboard and I have been using it for a few months now. It took a bit to get used to as the keyboard is thicker and the keys are a little higher than some other keyboards. The keys are mechanical with the Romer-G switch which takes less activation pressure than the cherry mx red switch (and brown and blue) that I have previously had. I have great movement when in games and my fingers don't get too fatigued when playing for more than 4 hours. The keys are backlit and very easy to see in the dark. The key itself is lit and not the surround of the key, so the letters pop and makes for a cool effect. The colors can be set by game and with the latest patch, Overwatch colors match the character you are playing. While cool if someone is watching you, I don't see them much as I am busy playing!
Overall the keyboard integrates really well with the Logitech Gaming suite and if you have a mouse and headphones, it is very customizable and works seamlessly. It all comes down to personal preference. I also purchased this because I got the free Tom Clancy The Division game with the keyboard.

The Logitech G810 is my first real mechanical keyboard. I really enjoy the feel of the keyboard when considering build quality and the responsiveness of the keys. The G810 has a more mature look compared to other keyboards out there and I'm rather fond of it. I'm not a die hard keyboard fanatic but from what I reviews I read the G810 was a solid choice for a mechanical keyboard and I have to agree. When comparing the Romer-G switches to Cherry MX switches at the store I preferred the feel and the acoustics of the Romer-G by logitech. It's not a loud clicky keyboard if that's what you're looking for but it is a responsive and low profile keyboard even with the RGB lights.

The keys light up. Not only does it provide a good tactile feel, but the keys are visible in low light. I know I'm not supposed to look at the keys, but sometimes I need to.
My previous keyboard had several keys with letters worn off. I do miss the calcluator button.

Great Keyboard for Romer-G Switch Lovers

Fantastic mechanical keyboard with excellent features, good software, great RGB lighting, and quality build. Additionally, Logitech's warranty service is fantastic. The green LED went out on one of the keys, and they sent me a full replacement keyboard without asking for the old one back.
The volume rocker and media buttons are crucial, and the ability to change even the Logitech logo in the RGB lighting controls is fantastic.
Overall, it is a very solid keyboard save for one gripe: Romer-G switches. I personally prefer Cherry MX Blues or Reds, and Romer-G switches almost feel like they are psuedo-mechanical. It's hard to describe, but they almost feel like stiffer, mushier brown switches. If you like Romer-G switches, then this keyboard is definitely for you.

Love the keyboard for the most part. The lights on this are much more appealing to me than the Cherry MX keys that have all the light bleed between the sides. Volume control is nice and smooth, and the media keys feel solid as well.
The only thing I dislike on this keyboard is the ping noise that can happen when you get typing a little harder on the keys (especially on the space bar).

Overall I am very satisfied with the g810. I was pondering getting logitechs other gaming keyboards but this one was so sleek and had very mature feel and look to it. I do miss the addtioanl macro keys but the fkeys can be reassigned. Feels great typing on and the rgb control is great..

I'm Keeping It

Initially, I wasn't sure how long I would keep this thing. It lacks some key features I would have expected at this price point. It should have come with a wrist rest, on-board memory like so many other keyboards (including Logitech) and a usb port. The lighting configurations suffer from the lack of on-board memory. If you want to have RGB lighting stay dormant on system power-up, well that's a no go. I consider this a major oversight. The only other gripe I have about this keyboard is the metallic sound that emanates from the support structure located under the keys. Engineering should have applied some common dampening techniques to the metal plate structure within. In a quiet environment, you can hear a sheet metal 'bell' type tone that comes as a result of a the resonance coupling between the lower keys (especially the space key), the spring/mass system of the key assemblies and the support structure. I almost returned this beast because the pure nature of the tone was annoying as all get up. The keys themselves are superb with respect to action and way the lighting has been incorporated into the design. The volume roller is one of my favorite features and I have no complaints about the other media control buttons. They work fine and don't feel cheap like others have commented on in their online reviews. I don't miss the dedicated gaming function keys either. You can assign keys via the gaming control software as you please ... but again, if the unit had on-board, non volatile memory, this functionality could have been that much more powerful.
With all that said, I'm keep it. I've tried too many keyboards and it comes down to trade offs. This unit delivers on typing performance and visual presentation. The resonance noise is tolerable although it's sort of unacceptable for a keyboard in the 100+ dollar range.
Logitech engineers should have known better. I have read others who have modified their units to dampen the noise and I will be giving this a closer look once I am out of warranty.
I would rate the performance and lighting a solid 5 but the design does have deficiencies so 3 is all I can honestly award at this point.
Had the price been a lot lower, then a higher score could have been justified based on cost controls but at the time of this writing, this is the 2nd from the top offering from Logitech and should have included those missing features I've already mentioned, chassis noise notwithstanding.

Good keyboard, switches are quieter than my other one with blues, but this is still a little clickier than they claim. my wife still complains about the noise. hard to find a bad product made by Logitech, imo

As a mechanical keyboard, I think it has good features including multimedia functioning keys, and scrolls. I'm not a gamer so I don't need to activate the gaming key. Instead, I'm highly interested in dealing with media files, making video clips, so the volume scroll bar is very convenient for me. For clicking sense, I'm feeling a bit heavy when I'm texting, comparing to 'blue' switch. I guess the clicking sense is very close to 'brown' switch. The reason why I get rid of one star is, the LED. This product tells that they support very wide range of colors, but most of them is not brilliantly illuminating. At any rate, from overall standard, I like this keyboard. Oh, I forgot to add one- this is not such noisy. Romer-G switch is beneficial for the sound.

I never thought I would use a gaming keyboard as my daily keyboard but this one feels great. It's very responsive and has a great tactile feel. And to top it off, there are features with the keyboard. The customizable in-game lighting is one of my favorites. It really comes in handy when you're playing a new game and don't remember the key mappings. The other is to turn on gaming mode which disables any number of keys you would like. This especially handy if you want to disable something like the Windows key from opening the Start menu during game play.

I own both a K70 red switches and now this G810. The Romer G switches provide a more resistant feel like brown switches but spring back faster. The cherry reds bottom out with no resistance. The keycaps on the g810 also have a matte finish vs the slick plastic on the k70. Best keyboard on the market if you are on the fence of which one to buy! The G910 is also available but has extra features that make the board bulkier and not as clean. The wrist wrest is a non issue for me as my palm sits on the table anyways bypassing it.
