As much as I am starting to enjoy the printer now the initial set-up was a less than ideal situation. Right out of the box it wouldn't align the scanner after printing out a test page...it would not recognize it. Secondly, I could not get my phone to sync up to the printer...I have a Galaxy S21. I spent too many hours downloading drivers and trying different connections, but it seems that the 6978 isn't on the list of printers that can be controlled by a smart phone. However, I did download the HP Print Service Plugin which does work with my phone...albeit in limited capacity compared to what the HP Smart app can do. I was finally able to get the scanner to work but never with HP's 'alignment' technique. Everything appears to work like it should now, but it should have never taken that long to set-up. I reached out to HP for help, but they had no phone lines available, and the virtual chat option was a joke, so I resorted to Facebook Messenger which wasn't much better since it took them nearly 2 hours to respond. The product is nice and works well once it is in operation hence the 3-star rating.

This new printer is very easy to setup and use. Every PC in the house can connect wirelessly, with no complications. It's also a very good value.

Really like this printer. It is fast and was easy to set up with the computers in the house. I signed up for the printer ink program too. Great printer overall.

Haven't had this printer very long but it does everything we need it to do. Copies and prints well at a good speed for us, is reliable, and all functions work well.

Very good printer can not complain. It is easy for my kids to use as it is for me which I am not too tech savvy. Colors are nice when printing

i love my printer sits on my desk in corner. The printer does not take up alot of space. This printer also prints clearly on paper.

So far this is a good quality printer for the price. Fairly simple set up, both with the PC and with the cell phone. Wireless printing has worked perfectly.

So far so good, primarily print in black ink only, waiting to see how things go when color cartridges reach expiration dates. Replacement cartridges aren't overly priced so a big plus there. The non printing functions and software work rather well.

I looked for a long time to find a printer that fit my needs for a small business - home office. I needed a printer that could handle large printing jobs on occasion - this one does it without any problems. I also wanted a printer that held a decent supply of paper so I didn't have to reload all the time. I have been using the printer for several weeks and it was easy to figure out and easy to use. It handles everything I need for my small business and fits nicely on my desk.. I got a great sale price and the ink costs doesn't break the bank.

Easy set up out of the box. Was scanning and printing shortly after cracking the seal on the box. Printing from my phone is a nice plus.

Flexible printer and scanner for home. Can quickly print multiple page documents. Can scan multiple pages into one document. Set up was easy.

Had to replace a 10 yr old printer, found this reasonably priced with new features I wanted. Very pleased and set up was fairly easy for a non IT person.

Needed a replacement printer. Found this one. We have a history of using HP printers, so finding this one at a great price was the icing on the cake. Individual ink cartridges for each color and for black ink make more sense than printers with tri-color cartridges. When you run out of one color, you can replace it at a lower cost than buying one tri-color cartridge and throwing away the remaining ink. Ink costs too much to waste it. Easy set-up and wireless connectivity were great features also. Copy, print, scan, and fax, this printer does it all.

This printer is reliable, fast, easy to use, and requires affordable ink. The quality of printing and settings options are perfect for use often.

Has all the features we needed at a very affordable price. It was easy to set-up and get the wireless connection, even printing from our mobile devices (iPad).
