This is by far the lightest, most powerful, most silent and easiest use cordless vacuum cleaner. It's not a substitute for a regular corded vacuum due to its short battery life but for what it was designed, which is to cleanup a mess here or there, it's perfect .. I normally get about 30 minutes with regular setting but at the highest setting I barely get 10 but that's for the extreme case which is a nice feature.

This vacuum was well worth the money it makes vacuuming not seem like such a chore and I am able to do my whole house including basement, stairs and even the furniture in one charge!!! The attachements that come with it are great and this vacuum even works well with my plush carpets.

This replaced an older model we had. The new V8 is SOOO much more powerful. It can legit vacuum thick carpet. The best improvement is the hardwood floor attachment. The opening at the front makes it actually WORK!! The old models just pushed stuff around on the floor. If you can find it on sale it’s worth it, full MSRP is a little too high in my opinion. The one thing they need to add is a trigger lock!

Lightweight and plenty of power to pick up dirt! We have a lot of hardwood floors and dogs so this little vacuum is used quite often to clean, it holds the charge good for what we need to do. Tools that come with are handy too. Good quality

We bought this cause it was much of a chore to get the heavy vacuum and go around the entire house plugging and unplugging the cord for each room. This vacuum is extremely light weight, even my 2 yr old is able to use it. In addition, it saves us so much time and is much much easier to get out for use. We find ourselves vacuuming the house a lot more often since this has made it easy to do.

We have rugs but mostly have hardwood flooring throughout the house. Several prior attempts at maintaining this with two small kids and a dog have been futile, including with the big dyson carried over from when there were far more rugs. The head that only comes with the absolute actually does what it says: it really gets up fine dust as well as bigger dirt so your feet don't get grungy walking through the house (short of wet swiffing everything daily this is a first). Even better, the dyson is so light that it is only slightly more to manage than a DustBuster while having way more power and cleaning better than either that or the full upright. Just note that the battery is only 5-7 min on max, but you can do much of the house on regular speed (over 30 min). Super easy to get in corners and under couches. It's pricey but so far worth it.

Vac has great suction for a cordless. Battery lasts long enough on low to do my 1800 foot house. Easy to empty waste and clean filters. Great design. Machine is very light. The best part is NO CORDS. Kind of expensive so I hope it lasts awhile

Just had new hardwood floors installed, this vacuum has a head specifically focused for hardwoods. It iseems like a rotating cloth with suction, cleans dust and debris well. The fact you can take head off and put another attachment on for carpeted stairs is a greal addition and the regular upright for carpet makes this a three in one fantastic tool to keep house clean. Cordless and battery time is good and sufficient to clean whole house on single charge. Just dont run on maximum you will only get about 25% of battery time. Regular setting has plenty of suction.

love this vacuum. never owned a cordless before but after having this for a year i don’t think i’ll lever go back. saw a vacuum as an investment piece and at least in the case of the dysons i was certainly right on the money with this purchase. battery lasts long enough to go through our entire apartment with juice to spare. plenty of attachments for tricky to get spaces as well as furniture. tons of suctioning power gets stuff off our hardwood floors as well as carpet that you can’t even see including hair. lots of hair haha. also pretty easy to empty and clean. would definitely recommend.

I bought this for my wife, who really wanted it. Works great, easy to use and empty canister. Lasts long enough for her to do all tasks needed. One complaint would be the trigger to turn on. For long use this can get tiring. Might be useful to have a on/off button. Pricey when compared to other stick vacuums, but made to last longer.

I just bought the Dyson V8. I currently own the Dyson V6. The V6 did a great job and I have had it about a year or so. The only issue is the short 20 minute run time. Not that big of a deal, it just in not long enough some of the time. The V8 has a longer run time! Also, an added benefit I did not expect was the it is much quieter!

This is my second V8. I bought my first V8 a year ago for doing carpeted stairs, air vents and office cleaning in a commercial building. I liked it so much, I bought another one for home. If you are looking for a very lightweight vacuum dusting and vacuuming that has tremendous suction, the Dyson - V8 Absolute is simply awesome!

I’ve had the V8 Absolute for only about 1.5 months so please keep that in mind, but so far it’s been a good purchase. There was an initial problem with the battery when I took it right out of the box. When I plugged it in for the first time, the battery light was a flashing red, which meant that there was an issue and that I had to call Dyson. I was very underwhelmed with Dyson (took them almost three weeks to ship me a new battery when the initial quote was 5 days). However, I think the whole thing was more of a Dyson issue than Best Buy’s (unless they didn’t take care of the merchandise in the store and that was the cause of the battery malfunction). Since then, though, I’ve been pretty satisfied with the purchase. The battery lasts the advertised time, there are interchangeable attachments for nearly any surface and space, the soft roller head (the one I use the most) swivels so easily, and it’s relatively quiet. It can get slightly heavy carrying the whole thing in one hand but it’s not too bad. Again, it’s only been 1.5 months so I’ll have to see how it holds up.

This vacuum is lightweight. It has several attachments. I love the extra attachment for the wood floors. The canister is easy to empty and you don't have to put your hand in the vacuum. It slides easily under furniture. The handle scratches easily when you vacuum under furniture, which is my only call out.

I love this vacuum. It's light and easy to navigate. Works Great to vacuum the stairs, couch and car easily. Love it on carpets and rugs. The hard floor attachment is just ok. It is kind of hard to move across the floors. Stays charged long enough for me to finish the job. I'm glad I purchased!

My expectations for this product were pretty high considering the price. I gotta tell that it exceeded them. Great build quality, very well thought tools, great suction power and last but not least - pretty decent working time. Charging station is a great addition. Also did decent job cleaning my car.

I have bought quite a few Dyson products and have been very satisfied with their performance. This cordless handheld stick is in that class. It is very light, powerful and easy to use.

Good product. Light weight and easy to use. Instructions are clearly illustrated. The only negative is that you need to keep your finger on the power button the entire time when vacuuming. And your hand can get tired after a while. But this is a great cordless vacuum. Highly recommended.

Is it really worth the price? We asked ourselves this for many years and I can tell you that yes, a Dyson may be super expensive but man, it's awesome. Light Weight, charge holds long enough, attachments all useful (and none missing). And - it cleans way better than what it is replacing, a Bosch. pulls up more from the rugs - especially dog hair. We like the floor roller too, no scratches on hardwood. Suck up the price and buy it.
