This robot works like a dream! It cleans a 3br 1bath standard size house in under an hour. It's one of the very few select brands that clean black rugs without problems. While most other popular brands go in random patterns, this one does straight lines from one side of the room to the other, one room at a time. And yes, it knows when/if it goes into another room before it's supposed to and goes back. My favorite feature is you can draw lines right from the app to block off areas or rooms. On the first cleaning it creates a map, and from there you can create an invisible fence to tell it where it can and cannot go. I think this is the only brand that does that. Others use a magnet or a sensor which you have to put down everywhere if you want to block areas off. Of course you can create a cleaning schedule, it has an eco and a turbo mode and it also works well with voice assistants.

Initial problem with pairing. Customer service very helpful. Unfortunately my router would not pair. My cable company switched our router to an Arris and we are now in business. The bot “Rosie” does a great job. Does our 1800 sq. Ft house on one recharge, and picks up a surprising amount of debris. We run her every other day, when she’s done our wood floors look great. Would recommend to anyone.

Works really well. It will miss a few things, in tighter corners or along edges. However, I'm not sure if any of them will get everything. It takes about an hour and 15 min to clean 900 square ft, then has to recharge. So it takes a recharge in between to complete my entire downstairs area. I have a dog and it does a great job at getting all the hair on hard surfaces and most of the hair on carpets. I also like that you can do spot cleans on the fly, or do a single room if you have a door you can close. The app is super easy to use and keeps you informed on what's going on....such as where the robot is at, whether the bin needs to be emptied or when it's done cleaning. It will provide a map of what was cleaned when it's done and back on it's base. I've not had any issue with it navigating over different surfaces...does a great job on hardwoods, carpets and area rugs without getting stuck or moving things around. I even have a couple sea grass rugs which it does a nice job on. Only complaint, if you can call it that because I don't really mind much, is the time it takes to fully charge, the fact it can't do a full 1600 sq ft on one charge and that at times it will miss a few things. Since I bought it 3 months ago, I've only brought out my big vacuum every few weeks to get along edges and get furniture or baseboards done. Because of that, this little robot has proven to be quite a time saver!!

I did my research and decided to spend extra to get the neato. We love it!! Easy to use app and it has made our floors cleaner than they’ve ever been. Does get stuck at times but does an amazing job on carpet, tile and hardwood.

We love Rosie, she was easy to program and does a great job cleaning up after our black lab whom sheds constantly. Rosie’s large bin allows her to clean 2500 Sq Ft of tile and carpet before alerting us she needs to be emptied. She gets into corners and monuvers easily around furniture with one exception of getting stuck underneath the coffee table after I placed the barrier strip provided that is no longer an issue. We run her daily while at work and empty her nightly, it’s wonderful to come home and not see black dog hair on blowing around the tile floors.

Cleaned very well and was easy to empty collection bin and clean machine. Did get stuck a couple of times but they were in vary tricky locations and a slight rearranging of the furniture would eliminate them. It would hit an object, back up a little and try to turn but sometimes caught the front square edge because it didn't quite back up far enough. The Roomba might navigate a little better, but does not vacuum as well and cost several hundred dollars more. This meets my needs perfectly and is not too loud.

After having this for about a month I can say that I am extremely pleased with its abilities. It cleans very well, noise is minimal, plays well with our cats. And it navigates through my home without abusing my furniture.

I was briefly an owner of room a iRobot 980 before returning it. The main reason I returned it because it was getting stuck every single time due to different reasons like stuck under a cabinet or sometimes even on small rug/carpet, narrow corners etc. Then I bought neato d5 for $200 on deal. Same rooms same furniture but not single time it get stuck and does the amazing job of cleaning. Thank you neato for keeping my rooms clean.

I bought the Botvac because I have dogs, grandkids, and SAND! LOTS OF SAND! Dragging out the vac everyday just isn't in my game plan. Now I just set it to run at night & it cleans the kitchen/living room while I get my beauty rest. Then a couple of times a week I take it to the bedrooms & let it run while I do other things. Yes, I have to take the vac or broom occasionally to things it can't get underneath, so the it doesn't replace the vac, but it sure keeps my home livable on a day to day basis! Easy to use, easy to empty, holds enough to do living & kitchen without emptying if I don't wait too long between sweeps (hairy dogs and a LOT of sand). Worth the price!

Words can't tell how much my wife and I love our Neato D5. Our Carpet has never looked this good!!! It's awesome on our tile too. Creates a map with Lasers and is super accurate. Plus it is quiet and the sound is not annoying like a regular vacuum. We are crazy about it, what else can I say, no problems either, nothing not to like. it's actually fun to use with the app on your phone.

It learns it's way around your house while navigating carpet wood and thresholds. I was amazed. I have a pappillion and a cat that both shed; no problem. Empty the bin and go.

I purchased this vacuum to replace a Samsung. So far I am completely satisfied. The low profile allows it to vacuum under the sofa and chairs. The set-up was incredibly easy on my iPhone. It's a lot quieter than my previous vacuum, and it's mapping is far superior...it doesn't get confused by designs in rugs like the Samsung did. The dirt bin is easy to remove and empty. All in all a great vacuum!!

Got the Neato D5 robot vac - it's outstanding completely does a 2200 Sq ft first floor getting all the corners and the complete floor. Only thing is we need to vacuum at least every other day with two dogs the dog hair overfills the vacuum and it must be dumped before it finishes if we wait for three days. haven't used the regular vacuum since we got it, Great vacuum plots the house out and gets it all.

I've had 2 Roombas and when the latest started to fall apart, returned it under my Geek Squad plan and opted for a Neato instead. Overall, I like the pattern the Neato uses much better than the Roomba's random patterns. The Roomba did have a lower profile, though, so it went under qutie a bit more furniture than the Neato does. I like both a lot, so you're probably down to personal preference in terms of deciding between brands.

I purchased the product a few weeks ago, and my review is based on recent use. The vacuum cleaner is easy to set up, and after it was charged, it up and running quickly. It does a great job, and I am amazed at how much debris it picks up when used every couple of days (I have two people in the house and no pets). I purchased it because we will be adopting a dog in a couple of weeks. The vacuum is somewhat loud and would suggest using it while you are away or sleeping on a different floor. It took me a couple of cycles to "learn" how to prepare the area for cleaning, such as pushing in chairs and closing doors where the cleaning is not needed. You will need to service the sensors now and then so it will run efficiently. I have contacted Neato support, and I will give them rave reviews. They followed up with me via email to make sure their suggestions solved my problem.

I have tile and mostly wood floors. I'm a clean freak when it comes to my floors. After an extensive cleaning of my floors, I purchased this robot. It's it expensive? Yes.it's it with it? Yes. After setting the robot up, I made it get to work right away! It got stuck a few times but I have managed to figure out where all it would get stuck. After I solved those few issues in my house this thing is a beast. I was amazed at how much stuff it picked up right after I cleaned my floors. If you have wood or tile floors I would highly recommend getting this.

I had a Roomba in the past but the random way it moved around missed places. This Neato takes care of that. It scans the shape of the room and keeps track of what it has completed. It knows when to head back to recharge and will pickup where it left off if needed. It has great suction and the app for your phone is nice. It's actually fun to watch this thing work!

I was a bit concerned when I read reviews saying it was loud. But I really wanted one that had good suction. So I was prepared for a fairly loud vacuum. To my surprise it is not that loud, my upright Sharp makes much more noise. It picked up lots of unseen crumbs on the carpet and works great. I would recommend this to anyone.

Absolutely love this product. It has made my life so much easier and works great. Easy to set up and use. Cleans excellent.

After doing a ton of research on different robotic vacuums in all price ranges, I decided that I wanted to stick to a maximum of $600. After narrowing my search to that price range I read hundreds of reviews. I found that most of the less than optimal reviews for this particular vacuum stemmed from issues that were NOT related to the unit itself, most of them had to do with the surface being cleaned - this unit doesn't work well on long shag carpets, internet glitches - this vac needs a wifi connection to map the floor and other user related issues. All in all, the Neato Robotics D5 Connected performed better than I had expected. It even cleans under the beds - something we hadn't done in ages. The gentle navigation mode keeps it from bashing into furniture (this was an issue with other brands). The "no-go" lines that you can draw in the app to keep it out of certain areas (away from dog's water bowl, out of the bathroom, etc.) are MUCH MUCH better than other units that use magnetic strips or unsightly towers.
