    Nice little webcam

I've never had a webcam, but needed one for google meet because my laptop was getting too slow and I wanted to switch to my desktop system. The Logitech C922 was super easy to set up to use with my HP desktop. I admit that the cute little tripod influenced my decision to get this particular one. I tend to buy middle of the road items, and I'm happy with this purchase. The camera seems good (no complaints on the other end) and sound is OK, though I still prefer my microsoft lifechat for that since I'm hard of hearing and using headphones helps. I'm happy with the fact that the little part that fits on top of my monitor doesn't obscure part of my screen. I have an ASUS TUF 27" and was concerned about that, but it fits well and is unobtrusive enough that I can leave it up there all the time. I just easily plug and unplug the USB cord as needed, since I don't use the camera very often. I found the built in software for changing backgrounds too difficult to fool with. It was hard to revert back when I didn't like the new settings, so I decided it wasn't worth using. The only other thing I don't like is that you can't adjust the camera horizontally, only vertically. I have to move the entire monitor if I want to adjust it side to side. Overall a nice little webcam.

This is also the second one that I bought - I bought one for myself previously. This one I ordered for a friend who needed a better webcam because they were having some lighting issues. Since the pandemic and lockdown, I have been teaching online yoga classes and I really like this webcam. It was reasonably priced so I did not have to break my budget to buy it. It works great. Even if my lighting is not the best, it still picks up well and most importantly, makes me look good (haha). It was super easy to mount and use - I just plopped it on top of my monitor and plugged the USB into my computer and started using it. The one not so great thing about it is the built-in microphone. It makes me sound like I am muffled or under water when I use it. Since I have a dedicated external microphone, it doesn't matter too much to me. However, if you need to use the microphone that's built into the camera, be aware that the sound quality is not great.

Hi Sharon, Thank you for this wonderful 5-star review of the C922 Pro Stream Webcam and how well it's been working for your online yoga classes. In regards to the slight issue you had with the dual-mic stereo sound, it certainly isn't optimal to use for an online yoga class where you're probably standing a good distance. The C922 features two omni-directional microphones that work much better when in closer proximity. Might I also suggest, if you haven't done so already, that you download Logitech's G Hub software (https://download01.logi.com/web/ftp/pub/techsupport/gaming/lghub_installer.exe). This will allow you to customize settings for your camera like pan, zoom, autofocus, lighting, etc. Hope that you found this helpful and that all is going well. Thank you for being a Logitech customer. - Richard from Logitech

This is very similar to the C920S. The difference is: (1) no privacy cover; (2) it includes a small tripod; (3) it has a firmware update to stream at 60 fps instead of 30. Other than that, they are very similar in performance and appearance. It's plug and play compatible with windows 10, but you can also go to Microsoft and download drivers and software for it. I use it for teams, webex, skype, no issues. Not a top of the line camera but gets the job done.

    Great Webcam for OBS Streamers

Before I get started I should say that I've gotten spoiled by years of using a Sony FDR-AX100, so I'm used to 100MBPS 4K video from a camera with all the modern conveniences. I bought the C922 for use as a webcam so of course I scaled my expectations accordingly--and the C922 still delivered better than what I was expecting. The biggest concern I had was whether this camera would actually do 1080p with OBS, whether the audio would sound any good, and whether the video would look any good. Short version: three for three. I will say--if you're doing OBS, it will NOT work at optimum settings right out of the box. You do have to do a little setup and configuration work in OBS itself once the camera's connected, but after that you're pretty much good to go. It IS easy to work with, the quality IS good, and as long as you have a decent amount of light, you won't suffer from horrendous motion smear. Definitely recommend buying one of these. I'll gripe about the price because that's a thing I do, but the reality is considering the quality of the camera it's not a bad deal.

I use this webcam for business use, and it has worked great. The picture quality is fantastic. I opted to use an external mic, but the one built-in is perfectly usable. It sounds about how you would expect any web cam mic to sound. It was really easy to set up and use. You can really just plug it in and go. But if you want to downlaod the logitech software, you can do that to get a little more control over it. But to be honest, I just plugged it in and never worried about downloading any extra software. I just use the built in options in things like Teams or Slack to change any settings I need. It does come with a tripod, which I opted not to use. I just don't see much use for it. For most people, I would assume just placing it on top of your monitor will work better than anywhere you can find to put the tripod. Not to mention the head on the tripod is really finnicky. It doesn't really tighten all the way. It's nice to have the option, but I'm willing to bet most people will try it out once and just end up putting it on their monitor like me. Overall, this is a really solid choice for webcam.

I have been pleased with the quality of the camera. Due to COVID-19, I have been thrust into the world of providing teletherapy for my school based kiddos. It has been easy to plug in the camera and everything worked without difficulty. We also used this to make a a video to be included in a virtual choir. It worked well! Not too much of a learning curve for us, which was definitely a plus!

Pros: Video quality is excellent Set up is a breeze, just plug it in and you're ready to go Cons: Microphone audio quality is horrible Glossy surfaces pick up finger prints extremely easily Other notes: Not much seems to have changed between this camera and the C920 or C920S. If this camera is about the same price as the others, it's a good buy (~$80). Definitely don't get this for over $100.

Linux plug and play right out of the box. It even came with a small tripod stand that feels solid and high quality. I Have used it for several online meetings and the video is nice. I haven't tried the audio because I already have a nice mic that i prefer to use. I wish it would have came with a privacy cover but it did not.

The camera itself works flawlessly and was plug and play. I use it mostly for video calls and, most recently, for youtube videos. I was using my laptop webcam which was set to a max setting of 720 and the difference is day and night. One thing this lacks is rotation. It comes with a little stand that allows it to rotate, but cant be moved when mounted on a monitor. The microphone is okay, but I went ahead and bought an external mic.

I needed a good quality webcam for teaching online guitar lessons. This one works wonders! The image quality is great (my students are surprised by how clear I am on screen) and the internal microphones pick up my sound clearly for my students to hear. It may not be as good as a quality external musician microphone, but it does the job with no complaints.

I am a podcaster with my fellow hosts scattered across the country and in my day job as a engineering and science professional, I am frequently online with a video feed. My old and heavily used Logitech 920 had finally failed and I needed to find a reliable replacement. This camera was chosen as my replacement after a lot of research. I’ve had comments from people asking about the huge improvement in picture. It handles the light variation of my office/studio much better. The picture is also far superior It works well with YouTube, Skype, and Google Hangouts. The picture is outstanding for the price; it is crisp, sharp, and video is fluid (depending on your internet connection). Installation was absolutely seemless on my Windows 10 system. Don’t waste your money on a cheap Chinese no-name. If you need a quality, reliable webcam, this is the one to get.

I had to replace my old (10yrish) 720p logitech camera that finally died on me. I didn't want to spend a lot since I was going to be (finally) going back into the office soon, but in the meantime didn't want to be using the junk webcam on my laptop. The video and audio quality improvements on this camera at this price were a nice upgrade from my old camera. I had originally wanted to get the 4k "hello" version, but it was out of stock a lot and wayyy more money. If you're just doing occasional video chats or web meetings for work and don't want to spend a TON of money and also don't want to take a risk on a cheap webcam from Amazon, this camera won't disappoint.

Works as expected - easy to plug and play and get right to work. Very clear image quality and (not wifey advertised) bigger field of view compared to in-built laptop camera. I use it on my external monitor (plugged into it directly) through USB-C to my MacBookPro. No problems to date with the exception of once a month glitchy image (think Max Headroom), which is easily fixed with unplugging and plugging again. Good indicator light, too, not too bright or distracting. Wish it had physical privacy slider though.
