Customers are saying

Customers value the G600 MMO Wired Optical Gaming Mouse for its numerous programmable buttons, ease of use, and affordable price. Many appreciate the mouse's weight and responsiveness in gaming, finding the accompanying software intuitive. While some find the size less than ideal and the cord could be improved, the positive feedback on the button layout and functionality is overwhelmingly prominent.

Not a gamer, but I love this mouse

I'm a Mac OS based graphic designer who was tired of the crummy controls, poor hand grip, skipping and unpredictable response of the various wireless mouse options I already had. This was not the one I intended to buy, but everything else was sold out-- and this was on a great sale. I bought it half-expecting to take it back, but it's the only mouse I use anymore. (I still have the Apple Magic mouse and an iHome wireless). PROS: nice long cord, incredible sensitivity, vast customization options, nice weight and size, well-place buttons, fits my hand nicely, never skips, really cool programmable 12-key thumbpad that I actually use, nice scrollwheel sensitivity, perfect tracking on all surfaces I've tried (including very glassy countertops) CONS: I'm still not in love with the G-shift button, because I'd rather have my ring finger next to the mouse. On some really long days, my little finger can get sore from mouse control use. Also, Logitech Gaming software requires reauthorization EVERY TIME I start up the computer-- annoying, but not enough to detract from the overall goodness of this mouse. Conclusion: I will never use a wireless mouse again unless I absolutely have to. The quality, sensitivity, and control are way better wired. And the 20+ buttons on this mouse make it possible to program macros for all kinds of things that used to require taking my hand off the mouse. BONUS: the mouse has a mode which illuminates the keys cycling through the rainbow. I constantly get questions from people who can't figure out what it is-- it appears to pulse slowly on the desk.

    Better Than Naga

I've owned Razer Nagas for at least 6 years. Somewhat recently, I purchased a Naga Epic Chroma and almost instantly regretted it. Perhaps no wireless mouse can handle being used frequently every day. Regardless, it had no longevity and was a constant pain. I resorted to using it only while plugged in, making it like a corded mouse, only worse. I eventually took advantage of Razer's warranty and replaced it with a regular Chroma Naga. This one lasted almost a year before I started having problems with it (the shortest amount of time of any Naga I kept). It eventually failed at tracking and would move erratically. Razer has a nice feature where you can calibrate per mousepad, and that seemed to work at first, but eventually, it just failed again. Now this: The Logitech G600 outperforms the Naga and is much easier to use. Unlike with Razer products, you don't even need the software if you don't want it! It worked immediately upon connection and so far is much more ergonomic and useful. Although I haven't found a purpose for it yet, the G-Shift feature is a fantastic addition. I'm sure I can use it in one of my MMOs that require a ton of keybinds, but I'm currently playing ones that restrict the amount you can use. It was easy to rebind the keys, although it is a bit confusing on the program's layout to see which bind goes where (see attached photo). The drop-down menus for each key align in an unintuitive way. The grid buttons seem much more ergonomic and way easier to differentiate and hit the correct ones. The Naga's are smooth and rounded, which feels nice but makes it incredibly difficult to find the right button. The G600's are each shaped differently and form two rows, the top six and bottom six. I also much prefer the plastic textured coating on this mouse to the Naga. The Naga has one that touts its grippy-ness, but the slightly pebbled texture rubs off fairly quickly with constant use, finger pressure, and hand grease, revealing a smooth, almost slippery, texture underneath. I haven't noticed any signs of that on this one yet, but I will keep an eye out for it. It's much more pleasing to touch, as well. It feels smoother but is also definitely matte. I'm very happy with the G600 and I'm so glad I found it on sale. It more than justified the purchase! Google alerted me to the sale. I'm a heavy Google user, so maybe that's why, but I think there's also a way to track an item's price and receive notifications on price drops.

I play MMO games on a regular basis and love the control I have with the extra buttons on the side. My previous mouse was a little too big for my hand and the main two buttons were way too sensitive. Having made up my mind to buy a Logitech mouse, I caught this mouse on sale at Best Buy for $40.00. I have medium sized hands and this fits perfectly. This mouse is well made with quality materials and the weight is just right for me. It's not too heavy or too light. The cord is covered with a strong & flexible braided material. I own a Logitech G710+ Keyboard and a Logitech G430 Gaming Headset. The Logitech Gaming Software controls settings for both. I plugged the G600 in and it too got added to the Logitech software. It is loaded with different settings and configurations along with different colored backlights for the keypad. I am very satisfied with my G600.

I am an avid World of Warcraft player with very particular taste for what constitutes as a good mouse. I have owned mice triple the price of this one. Programmable side buttons: At first I was apprehensive about the buttons not being labeled 1-12 like my old mouse but I ended up not caring because I never NEED to look at the buttons like I did on my old mouse. Each button has a very distinct "feel" that makes them easy to distinguish. The leftmost buttons are raised on the left edge. The middle buttons are more flat. The rightmost buttons are raised on the right edge, and in addition to that the first row of buttons are raised at the top, and the second row of buttons are raised at the bottom. The third and fourth rows are the same way. It makes it very easy to know what button I am pressing without wasting time making sure I'm pressing the right button. G-Shift Button: This was the other feature of the mouse I was worried about before purchasing. I worried that I would accidentally press the g-shift button and get annoyed by that. That isn't the case. It takes more effort to press mouse buttons down than you may realize. I may have had an acclimation period of how to rest my hand on this mouse, but I can't remember because it has been too long. Now the feature of G-shift is what makes this mouse better than others. All I need to do is hold the rightmost button down on the mouse and all of my keys are remapped. I now have double the buttons. For the first time since I started playing World of Warcraft, I have more keybindings than I do abilities. Logitech has their own configuration software where you can customize all of the buttons keybindings. Not much to say here, it's pretty straightforward. I'm writing this review almost 2 years later. The mouse is still going strong.

I've been using the G600 to play WoW for the last 6-7yrs. With having the 12 side buttons + the ring finger click you can make so many macro modifiers it's great. The mouse wheel click in and tilt left/right are perfect for warrior stances or other key cooldown skills and can also be modifiers for macros. I honestly don't think I could play at a high level with out it now.

At first this mouse was great. It lights up with pretty colors, it has all these buttons for shortcuts. The wire on the mouse is surrounded with that yarn type of this to keep it safe.... Well that yarn stuff started fraying on the first day. Now my wires are showing and occasionally my mouse thinks I clicked the left clicker.... Awesome. I guess you can't really expect any better for $50.

Had no trouble installing and setting up with swtor, which is why I purchased it. Works as advertised, much easier to move around without having to let go of the wasd position to perform an action. Only rant ia that the picture shows perfectly labeled thumb buttons, which is not the case on the mouse I got ... maybe quality was dropped in order to reduce pricing? Don't own the original, more expensive version, so can't confirm.

Best Gaming Mouse I've Used To Date

The Logitech G600 has been the most useful programmable gaming mouse I've used in a very long time. The weight of the mouse, while not customizable, is balanced between not too heavy and not too light. The RGB key backlights are a nice touch that may or may not distract you from your mission at hand. If the lights become more interesting than your game, you can turn them off, change their color based on active profile or leave them a solid color. It all depends on your interests. The software that powers the G600 is easy to use once you know where things are and is smart enough to know when you launch a certain game, to switch profiles to that game for ease of use. When paired with a keyboard, such as the Logitech G15, your programming options become quite large. The 20 programmable mouse buttons are the 12 G-keys on the left side of the mouse, the right and left click, middle mouse click, left and right mouse wheel tilt and the button directly behind the DPI selection button on top. That top button, behind the DPI selector, is slightly higher in elevation than the DPI button so your middle finger, without leaving the right click button can hit that one easily if necessary. The button to the right of the left/right click buttons is the 'shift' button that allows you to access two additional profiles for the title you're playing. If you're not like me and can stand the lights on the side of the mouse, you can set each profile's color shifting/steady on for quick recognition of the active profile. So, if you're just using the mouse on it's own without a programmable keyboard, your programmable button combinations total at 60 keys. Though, many may not wish to alter the function of the left/right clicks as many titles require heavy usage of them. So, with that in mind, you'd still have access to 54 programming options split between 3 profiles for 1 game. The additional profiles and lighting combinations could even allow multiple gamers to play the same title with the same mouse without interfering with other users' profile preferences if necessary.

Best MMO Gaming Mouse EVER!!! 10/10

This is by far my favorite MMO gaming mouse ever! I bought a second for my laptop. I previously used the Razer Naga but what sets this mouse apart for me is how they shaped each of the side thumb buttons differently! Not only is it incredibly easy to know exactly which button you're pressing without looking, they've also sized and spaced the buttons well so that there is much less risk of hitting multiple or wrong buttons than with the Razer Naga or other comparable models. I think Logitech really did their homework and hit a home run with this mouse!

I play a mix of game types, and wanted a mouse with more buttons to bind hotkeys to. I've used it with both WoW and SWTOR freeing up my left hand more to focus on moving and priority functions. Same with games like Battlefield, being able to bind more secondary actions to the mouse makes movement/acting much smoother. I do, however find that it is a bit more awkward to press the 3rd row of buttons than anything else. The front pair sit right under my thumb and are easy to use, and the last(4th) row I also have no problem with but the 3rd set just seems to always be slower to hit. The responsiveness is great, and the software allows you to customize each button as necessary. I don't personally use the g-shift that swaps the 12 side buttons to a completely different set of bindings but it could be useful for some. I do wish more games would support these "mmo mice" buttons as individual mouse buttons. I have to bind them to keystrokes, or the numpad for it to work as most games won't recognize them as "generic mouse button X"

I love this mouse. It was just what I wanted. Works Great! I love the buttons on the side. The only drawback is that it's corded and not cordless, so there's a limitation there, but it is easy to use, easy to learn, and the cord is long enough to reach pretty much anywhere you need it to. It's not made of plastic either so it's durable. The mouse itself is easy to set up, almost a no brainer, and the buttons are fully programmable. I am an mmo gamer so I was looking for a great beginners gaming mouse, and this is a great mouse for anyone who is trying to learn how to play, or who has played for a while and is trying to navigate quicker. I love the fact that the lights are fully color spectrum customizable. Great product!

So naturally they don't make it anymore. There's a reason these go for over $200 if you can find them new now. If I could get these at BB's price I would buy half a dozen of them to be set for life. Mine bit the bullet after about a decade of use, so you can see the inside from me trying to repair it. Amazing mouse, served me well, can't find anything else like it on the market.

I bought this mouse for my boyfriend and ended up getting one for myself. I find it to be very efficient for firing off skills quickly. One of my favorite features is the way the buttons on different rows are at a different angle. This allows you to feel what row you are on so you do not click the wrong button. It's also nice that you can change the LED colors to whatever you want. I was looking at the Naga and Razer seems to charge a premium for that feature. The "G-shift" button is a little awkward at first, but now I'm used to it and I don't accidentally click it when I rest my hand. The only complaint I have is that the mouse is really wide and bulky. It's great for MMOs where you don't move the mouse around large distances, but it's a little fatiguing for everyday computing.

Have used these mice for years - wouldn't game without them (and indeed, this purchase was to have a backup if my current 3+ year old G600 dies). Despite the 'MMO' designation, the reality is that any game that can benefit from more controls by your thumb is a winner here. Weapon switching, communication and zone marking in FPS games, game speed and quick-designation in building/group management games, and so much more. I find it feels better (a little more weight, a little more resistance) than the Razer equivalent, as well. If you want to configure custom controls per-game, the Logitech software does that in a very straight-forward manner (and behaves better than the old Razer one did, as well). The only 'issue' I'll note is that the three mappings of controls you can configure on the side can be frustrating. The button at the top that switches between them can easily get pressed in a heated match, and that means looking down at the mouse to determine which group it's in and click until it's back where you need it - by default the keypad switches lighting styles to highlight the different groups so that is the indicator to look for in-game.

I have had three of these mice. The first i broke when testing out a usb powered mod, and I shorted out the entire usb hub it was connected to (or at least i thought I broke it. I found out after Logitech issued the replacement that i just had to use another mouse to set it up because it went full stupid. Pros: Over 120 keys on board between the three profiles On board memory for three profiles G-Shift key makes every button turn into a new one that is reassignable On The Fly Adjustable weight (sort of, there are a few steel plates inside it you can adjust if you need) Longevity: my old one took nearly five years of programming, and mmorpg gaming abuse to finally have issies and the ONLY issue was the switch plate on the inside of the g shift key needed to be re-bent. I lost it after disassembling it, and could never find it so I just bought another one. 30 bucks for a replacement of a mouse that used to be 90...no issue. Adjustable DPI - can be set between 200 (great for photoshop and headshots) to 8200 (great for fast paced fps games) and can have multiple levels of 'steps' using the dpi switch function. Adjustable polling rate: you can set how many times a second it 'polls' which is how often it communicates with the usb device which is good for those using it on older usb 1 ports that can't poll 1000 times a second. RGB for those that want it. Fully customizable 16 million color reproduction with adjustable strobe if you want that too. Cons: only 1. It IS a little on the large size. I have 8" hands and my thumbs took a few months to train my muscle memory for the front row of thumb keys. Other than that this is hands down the best mouse I have owned in nearly 25 years of computing.

Good mmo mouse, build quality is decent, clicks are solid, the left/right scrollwheel is a great addition. The mouse is a little on the heavy side. The buttons on the side, the most important part of a mouse designed for mmo games, are very nicely laid out. Twelve buttons, in sort of what feels like two textured groups of 6 lends itself to ease of use and feeling which button you want to press based on the shape of the buttons is very natural and easy, probably the best side button configuration of any mmo mouse on the market for this reason. My only gripes are the weight being a bit on the heavier side, with no easy ability to take the extremely heavy internal weights used in the mouse without breaking the entire device down, and the size of the mouse itself is a bit small, which doesn't fit my 20x10 cm hands like say a DeathAdder V2 does perfectly. The way the mouse is shaped forces a claw/claw palm. Palm gripping can make it wobble from the rear as the back of the chassis is sloped. I'm also 6'1'' for reference. So I would recommend this mouse for someone with hands a bit smaller than mine, or someone who wants an affordable, quality mmo mouse with great button layout that can look past the non-removable weights.

This is a great mouse. I purchased it mainly for work. I use Autodesk Revit and I'm able to assign keyboard shortcuts to each of the side buttons, which makes things more convenient and a little quicker. Even though my initial intent was for work, I also use it for gaming. I find it to be very comfortable as well. I like being able to have the third mouse button which functions as the G-Shift, but is also great for resting your ring finger rather than having to drag it alongside the mouse. Overall it feels good in the hand and has a nice weight to it. Even if you don't use the side buttons, I'd still recommend it for affordability and comfort. I just wish Logitech made a wireless version.

PROs +Comfortable for small and average sized adult hands. +Easy to see the buttons on the side due to its lights. +Doesn't get caught on anything under the mouse itself. +High to low sensitivity, ideal for gaming or general use. +Average to somewhat long cord makes for easy setup on most pcs. CONs -The cord itself is not plastic wrapped but rather, cloth which means it can fray out easily if you aren't careful about placement. Do not recommend hard edges for this reason, try for rounded edges. -You need to download a program that allows for control over the colors on the mouse and keybinding. It's not required but recommended. Overall I've been very happy with this mouse and I am about to buy another because I had a wooden, hard edged desk that caused a fray on my cord and only got worse over time. I highly recommend this mouse, period. Razer is way overpriced, has faults in its wheel and can often get caught on things due to the bottom design on the the comparable Chroma models. Anything else falls pretty short, even if it is cheaper. This is the cost I expect of a good, functioning mouse that'll last a long time and for multiple uses.
