Nice for workouts, poor for calls

First time purchasing bluetooth headsets. I read reviews and talked to several people that used bluetooth headsets. I decided to buy. Jaybird has good reviews and reputation for headsets. I like the battery life, fit, and sound quality. The price point is reasonable. Listening to music on runs is usually nice. They tend to make weird noise when near other powerful radio signals. Phone calls are a hit or miss, mostly miss. Calls are usually broken, like packet loss, or barely audible. When the call works it is flawless. For exercise only, I would recommend them. For calls, I do not reccomend. My phone is a note 8. There should not be any technical issues.

I’ve had many different brands of headphones, this have been by far the best I’ve purchased. The sound quality is amazing. Battery life is excellent, fit is perfect and if you wait for a deal you can get them at a fairly cheap price. Very happy with , would buy them again.

These are the best headphones that I have ever purchased. They sound amazing with the right amount of lows, mids and highs. They also can get very loud if you like your music like that. Noise isolation is solid. The fit is excellent but you have to find tinker around with how you want to wear them (over the ear or under the ear), prefer fins or no fins, what buds and what size buds. I prefer under ear, with fins, comply foam tips in medium size. I think some people that complained about not fitting correctly probably didn't take the time to find out the right and most comfortable fit for them. The hardware feels durable and the battery actually lasts as long as they stated which is 8 hours. It also has a Jaybird MySound app which has various preset equalizers and your own customization that makes a certain genre music sound much better to your liking. My con is that it has a proprietary snap on charger which is kind of annoying if I want to charge it elsewhere, I must bring that snap on charger around which means I could possibly lose it or damage it. Everything else is AWESOME!

I was using jaybird x2 and now got x3. Jaybird X3 are better in sound quality and fit. I think they are great wireless bluetooth headset for the price. I tried powerbeats 2 but overpriced and lack the sound quality. Jaybird x3 are so far the best choice in wireless headsets and they work flawlessly with new iphone 7

I had the jaybird x1 and they died on me after about a year and a half. And stopped turning on. My wife bought me these and they sound similar. Good sound quality decent battery life, great fit for my ears. They don't get as loud as beats but I feel like they have a cleaner sound.

I did a lot of research prior to buying these headphones. Beatsx are one of the most highly rated earphones on rtings.com. I originally set out to buy a set of AirPods (which I did), but then I saw Jaybird X3s on sale for $80. Why not? I bought a pair. The latency (lag between video and audio) was pretty bad. Even though they sounded incredible, I took them back. While I mostly listen to music with my headphones, I also watch a fair amount of video. Beatsx happen to also be on sale, so I made an exchange. The Beatsx had amazing sound and fit even better than the Jaybird X3. But, I was still curious. So, I bought AirPods. The AirPods were great for what they are: completely wireless headphones. It was nice not having any wires, and I felt completely free to move around. The sound was also reasonable considering they're just wireless EarPods. Unfortunately, the slippery white case slipped out of my pocket unnoticed at least twice while I was at my house. This freaked me out and made me think I might lose them pretty easily. That, on top of the fact that they cost $60 more than the Beatsx (at the time) prompted me to take them back. The only thing I don't like about the Beatsx is the cable. There's a pretty significant amount of cable noise if you're not careful about how you twist the cable when putting them on. The length took a while to get used to too. The length is also a positive though as you can take them off and let them hang around your neck all day. With the AirPods, if you take one out, you either hold it in your hand or put it back in the case. This is often really inconvenient. If you're using an iPhone, these are even better because you can take advantage of the W1 chip. This offers easy pairing, better sound quality, and better connection. I have not had the signal drop once, except when my phone was charging in my house and I moved the car into the driveway, but it just cut out a little and came back when I was in range. I did actually experience some stuttering the other day when I had another pair of bluetooth headphones connected at the same time, but I think that was due to my phone being a little confused. I forgot to mention battery life and the microphone. People I talk to on the phone say the microphone quality is great, and I have no complaints either. The battery life is as advertised, and maybe more. With intermittent use, these last me from the morning until the evening with battery to spare. They never shut off on their own unless they're disconnected, but they do have great standby time. Positives for the Beatsx: -sound isolation -sound quality -magnetized for hanging around your neck -cable length -W1 chip (easy pairing, better sound, and connection) -microphone quality -in-line remote -battery life Negatives: -microphonics (cable noise) -cord length

I was looking for a pair of Bluetooth headphones that I could use while working in my shop, driving to work, and while I shop. I listen to a wide variety of music and podcasts. There are three main things I love about these headphones. 1. Sound quality is great. No complaints at all. Very surprised the first time I used them 2. Charging is incredibly fast. If my headphones are dead I can quickly throw them on the charger and by the time I eat breakfast and shower, the headphones are almost fully charged. For how quick the battery charges, these headphones will last a long time on one full charge. 3. The app is awesome. I have several different presets and I like to use them for when I switch my genres. I really like the podcast preset. Makes the voices sound great. Overall I would give this product a 9/10 because, although it's a high quality product, the price is a little high. You get what you pay for and the headphones are definitely solid.

I got these as a replacement for my X2's. They are a lot better sounding with longer battery life and definitely stay in your ears better than the x2's. The app is also super nice where you can create custom profiles for different types of music. Would definitely recommend.

    Excellent Choice For Gym

I've struggled finding a good headphone solution for the gym. Wires get in the way so I've stayed wireless for the past few years. Beats Studio Wireless and Bose Wireless are both too big to rock in the gym, covering your entire ears and collecting sweat and hindering movement on certain machines. For a good while I used Tracks Airs by Sol Republic x Motorola which were fantastic but their longevity proved not to be so great...having problems with keeping a connection in both ears after about a year's time. I researched and found the Jaybird X3s and the Beats Powerbeats 3s to be considered the top 2 gym headphones each with their own pros and cons and I settled on the Beats. BIG MISTAKE. They were uncomfortable wrapped around my ear, as well as their too long cord bouncing behind my neck, and the slant of the drivers missed my ear canal and poked against the cartilage on the inside of my ear. I found myself constantly fidgeting with them and the sound was mediocre. Also the controls were finicky and I often had to press buttons several times to get something to happen. Who wants to deal with that when you're working out? I hated them and exchanged them after 3 days for the Jaybird X3s and boy am I glad I did! The Jaybirds just fit so much better...COMFORTABLY and stay put for the most part, in my ear throughout heavy gym sessions, with little adjustment required. The sound is amazing. And I love how you can wear them with the cord behind your neck OR (like I do) adjust the cord to the exact measurement of your head and have it fitted around the back of your head, eliminating annoying dangling. Also, it's other features put it leap years above the Beats, like working seamlessly with both iOS AND Android (not just iOS and kinda with Android like the Beats), they have their own app with equalizer that allows you to change the eq settings of the headphones to your liking on the firmware level, can connect to 2 devices at the same time, and work seamlessly with Google Assistant. The only negative thing I have to say about the Jaybird X3's (and the reason I gave 4 not 5 stars) is the fact that if you wear the headphones fitted to your head (not dangling) which I find to be the best way for physical activity, it is virtually impossible to use the headphones for phone calls because the mic is positioned in the back of your head and the person on the other side of the call can hardly hear you. So when making calls, before or after the gym, I have to remove the headphones and talk with my phone. That gripe aside, for use solely in the gym or for other fitness activities, in terms of the full package: comfort, fit, staying in your ear, features and sound, the Jaybird X3s are the best hands down.

Best wireless I've tried so far

I've gone through about 5-7 different wireless headphones just never finding ones that were not only comfortable and with good ergo's but with a sound quality that I can justify spending more than $20.00 on. After reading several reviews online, I purchased these and have to say they are by far the best wireless headphones I've tried including Beats and Bose. The foam tips expand in your ear canal once you place them on thereby eliminating about 75% ambient noise. The battery charge is phenomenal. I recharge about one every 2-3 weeks based on my usage (1.5 hrs a day/4-5 days a week at gym) Are they as good as a good set of traditional wired, over ear headphones? No, of course not. If you want wireless, discrete and convenient, these fit the bill. One con, the charging "cradle" Is about a 3" long wire making it incredibly good at hiding. Its proprietary design makes headphones unchangeable when it goes missing.

Good Bluetooth headphones for the new price of around $100. The charger is a small piece that only works for there items, so don't lose it. Jaybird gives you an assortment of ear tips so you find your fit, make sure you find your fit while sealing off excess noise to enhance sound. It comes with an app so you can find your right equalizer settings or use a preset one. The drivers are good but like any earphones your ears get adjusted over time and the drivers lose power causing you to want more but not get it. The cord doesn't really tangle and has a heavier rubber feel, not to bad. The talk piece isn't the best some conversations people say I sound underwater but I can hear them perfect. It has its flaws but overall for the new price of around $100 from the old price of I believe $150 and above this isn't a bad buy especially if this is your first pair of Bluetooth headphones.

This is my first pair of wireless earbuds. The Jaybird earbuds are well made. The sound quality is good but I feel like the bass could be a little better. Once I downloaded the Jaybird app I was able to adjust the bass and treble settings which improved the bass some but not quite as much as I like. It took me a while to figure out how to fit these in my ear properly. The earbuds come with quite a few different sized ear pieces so I tried them all to get the best fit. Overall I like the Jaybird earbuds and I really like going wireless and being unattached to my phone.

My Jaybird headphones sound great. They are very easy to use for switching from music to phone calls. I love the little rubber wings that hold the buds in your ear better and you can choose not to use them as well. Mine fit very comfortably. The only thing I wish was different is the length of the charging cable, I wish it was longer. Other than that, these headphones are fantastic.

In my opinion, these are the BEST Bluetooth headphones on the market. These are the standard that everything else should be compared to. Here is a list of all the bt earbuds I have tried: Sol Republic Amps Air, Sol Republic Relays, Sol Republic Shadow, Onkyo true wireless, Samsung gear icon, Bragi, Skybuds, Jabra sport elite, Jabra Pulse, Jabra Coach, Jabra Halo, Jabra Pace, Sony wireless, Jaybird x2, Jaybird freedom, Plantronics 1-3, JBL Everest, JBL Reflect, Denon wireless, Monster Adistar, Altec Lansing Sport, Bose Soundsport, Life n Soul, mee x7 plus, Outdoortech orcas, Skullcandy xtfree, Monster I sport wireless and last but not least Jlab epic. All of these earbuds are great but the X3 is simply the best!!!!! The key to getting great sound is the FIT. Once you get this the X3 is perfect. If you don't like the sound, there is no excuse, just go on the app and change it!

Bought these after my Yurbuds IronMan wireless headphones finally died. The battery life is great but the on/off function takes quite a while to actually turn the headphones off. The "close to the head" sport wear clips are actually an awesome design but are difficult to adjust without some getting used to. They come with 3 pairs of S,M,L flange earbuds and 3 pairs of S,M,L foam earbuds. The fit is great for someone who struggles with in -ear buds. The sound quality is awesome for wearing around town or in the gym.

I really like these headphones. They sound great! And with the MySound app you can cuatomize to your tunes. The comply foam tips are excellent for reducing most ambient noise for me. Also with the headphones being smaller they can easily fit better than other headphones. They do not come out of my ear, even when I am running. You might have to give it a quick snug back in but I am not really using any accesories besides the ear foam tips. The battery life does give me 8 hours and standby is good if they are not in use. A couple of more hours would help, but they do warn you about what battery percentage you are at by the headphones and by your phone, (with my Andriod). What I don't really like is the charger adapter. This prevents them from being universally charged. This is the only drawback to my concern. I hope this helps!

Left my first pair on a plane and couldn't do without them after already going through many other brands including Beats. I've even bought a pair for a raffle giveaway so I could share my enjoyment with others. Great battery life, quality and sound not surpassed ... the only draw back I would say is the specialized charger but still worth the one annoyance.
