I don't do reviews, but for this machine I have to! I did three rooms with this machine after vacuuming like normal (but not the rug in the picture) and the water was crazy dark! It took up stains that I thought were permanent. PLUS as if that wasn't good enough, it's SO easy to take apart to clean ALL of the hair out of it!! The picture shows the pieces - the cover snaps off, then the second cover has two release buttons to provide access to the rollers and the belts. Every place hair and funk could hide is accessible! I couldn't love the ease of that any more!! I can't speak to durability - but I JUST threw out my old Bissell that my mother gave me when she bought a new one years ago. My purchase through Best Buy was online and easy - the machine was easy to put together. Requires a screwdriver for one screw to secure the carrying handle.

As you can see from the photos, our carpet was originally white but turned dark grey due to all of the dirt from our dogs feet. We used the express cleaning method as we didn't have time to wait for 8 hours to dry (as stated in the manual for deep clean or the max clean setting). I'm sure if we used that setting our carpet would look even more brand new! We noticed that the cord kept getting stuck or in the way... they need to design a better method for that. But other than that, our carpet looks refreshed! Look forward to using this more.

Love it! I use it to clean my rugs every few weeks. The water always comes up dirty the first pass through and cleaner the second pass through. It has great suction and visibly cleans my rugs.

Considering certain spots on my rug were way past the point of redemption, I can say this thing works pretty darn good! I did 3 rugs (2 runs each) and it took me about 4 hours. All the rugs came out clean and looked better once they dried. The pictures show before and after, but the after shots were still wet, and they honestly do look better once dry.

Cleans well.
You might have to go over really dirty carpet twice. And the water moves pretty fast through it. But the end result is worth it and will have your house smelling sooo much better if you have pets.
You don’t realize how dirty your carpet gets or what a difference it makes until you use this!

This is my first carpet cleaner but second Bissell product. I brought a vacuum of theirs last year and it's worked great but I had a stain in my carpet from my dog that I couldn't get rid of. As soon as I got home from the store I put the cleaner together and cleaned the carpet in my dining room and living room. The cleaner worked perfect the solution that I purchased with it that has febreze in it left those areas smelling amazing and the carpet looks great.

Pros: very light, easy to operate, great cleaning power, and most of all the floors were not that wet and were dry very short after the cleaning.
Cons: the tank is a little small
So you do have to refill it often but it’s not really that big of a deal.

The Bissell pro heat 2X pet pro includes everything you need to deep clean your carpets.
Upon opening the box and removing the contents, everything was nicely packed and quality made, not cheap flimsy materials.
The Pro heat 2X was extremely easy to put together(5 minutes). The only tool needed was a Phillips screwdriver for one screw.
It comes with a detachable hose for upholstery or hard to get places like steps or under furniture. The hose can be attached on the front of the unit by the brushes and is easily attached/unattached.
There are two hose nozzles, one is a standard brush for wet spray that comes with all models, for the pet pro, the additional attachment can be used for wet or dry conditions. I like the fact that when you are finished with the pet tool, the front pops off to allow for hair removal as with past shampooers I have had issues cleaning all of the hair out of the non removable pieces. The Main unit also allows for the front to be opened for additional pet hair removal (something that previous or lesser models do not have) (I love this)
The attachments are stored in a net bag not on the unit. This is good as you will no longer having troubles with dragging or knocking off the hose and have to stop to put it back on the unit. Having it stored away makes things more easy. Bissell must have been listening to their users.
The water tank is on the top of the unit making it easy to remove and fill with water. The handy fill cap doesn't even need to be removed for adding soap(with purchased special designed Bissell soaps), you just push the bottle down until the desired amount is dispersed. The return tank is located under the fresh water tank. The tank is easily removed for emptying by pushing down on a lever which also acts as handle.
The unit has 3 settings for cleaning carpet, Deep, medium and express (express promises drying in about an hour)
I ran a test with deep clean and with express.
The express dried in about an hour like they said and cleaning was satisfactory. Deep clean is to be a deeper, better clean than the machines you can rent at local stores. This unit delivered and I was amazed at the cleaning ability of a home shampooer.
The pet pro also has a spot sprayer that can be used by pressing your foot which sprays out a stream of soap from the front of the unit. Let the spot soak for a few minutes before going over with the shampooer.
Cleaning the unit is super easy. Just wash both tanks out with hot water and dry them (I usually let my sit out for a few hours in the tub to finish drying so I wont put it away wet and it would be musty when used again.)
The return tank allows you to empty all contents for thorough cleaning as well, by flipping the unit upside down and unscrewing a cap that lets you remove the valves and float.
The rollers and container are easily removable by lifting up near the hose attachment. This pops off allowing to clean hair out and can be wiped down. The rollers are easily removable too by pressing down on 2 highly visible green buttons. This allows for the brush cover to be removed and gives you access to the belt and brushes that can be cleaned with the included hair removal tool (plastic stick with groves) This works as it described.
In conclusion the unit is easily more maneuverable and lighter than past models but don't let this fool you. It also cleans noticeably better.
I would not hesitate to tell my family and friends that this gets 2 thumbs up/5 stars It is worth every penny.

The Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Upright Deep Cleaner is a strong, lightweight, upright carpet cleaning monster!
Opening the box is a little overwhelming, there are several pieces that are all pulled out one after another. There are 4 main pieces to put together and then an assortment of attachments to go with the cleaner. One screw holds it all in place, so set up was very easy to complete.
There are two samples of cleaner included with the machine. Both smell nice (to me) so the carpets have a nice fragrance after cleaning.
I used the 'express' clean option on two areas in my house where my dog constantly lays. In the bedroom and at the top of the stairs.
The top reservoir holds the 'clean' water and the lower reservoir holds the 'dirty' water. Everything remains pretty clean to use, it's all nicely self contained. I like that you can take out the clean water reservoir and the dirty water reservoir independently... sounds silly, but it just makes sense!
My carpets are only 8 months old (new build house) so there weren't particularly dirty, but I definitely noticed a difference where my dog lays. And you could see the results in the dirty water reservoir.
The machine itself wasn't too noisy at all. I wasn't running it for hours on end, and the only thing I did notice was that the carpets did take a little while to dry afterwards, so I am presuming that it's really getting in there to make things clean!
I would recommend this cleaner to friends and family!
