Good cameras, nice 180 view. Wired camera works excellent and connects to Apple HomeKit perfectly. But beware the wireless cameras don’t connect to Apple HomeKit, when you want to see the livestream they are in sleeping mode and take a while to give you the live video. The advertising say the batteries last for about 3 months, which is not true, in my case having a normal family home with no one in the house during the day, the batteries only last for 1 week. I would only recommend the wired cameras.

I picked this up at my local Best Buy on the day it was released, as I'd been waiting for it since reading that it would (eventually) be HomeKit-compatible back in June. My anticipation notwithstanding, this seems to be yet another "release now, fix later" product. I've thus far noticed the following issues: Seems to frequently disconnect from my home network, necessitating a reset (disconnect/reconnect battery) in order to get it back online. Obviously this isn't something that can be done remotely. Loading live view takes a bit longer than one would expect, even when on the same network. Picture quality seems to be good overall, though it seems to take the camera a bit too long to adjust to changes in lighting. To be fair, I've been somewhat spoiled by Canary's product, though I can remember a time when the Canary didn't work very well either (and it still -- a couple of years later -- has some bugs). Hopefully these issues will be resolved -- and soon -- via firmware updates.

Bought this camera for outside my front entrance. I liked the wire free option for more options on mounting. However, the battery would only last about one week even with changing settings to limit use. You can buy a second battery to keep charged and swap out, but I didn't want the hassle of this. I returned this camera and got the wired version (Circle2). Camera was easy to set up. I like that you get 24 hours of video storage for free. Note that the wire-free version of the camera is not currently compatible with Apple Homekit.

using the window mount, the night vision light caused a glare and a i could never get a good view. the app is confusing and it is somewhat difficult to mount together. if using it to put on a window to view during the night, do not buy this.

Rain in the Logitech Cloud Causing Data Shorts

For a comparison, I purchased both the D-Link Omni 180° cam and the Logitech Circle 2, both HomeKit Compatible cameras... Below is a brief comparison. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- :: Setup :: Goal Add to HomeKit System - Logitech - futz around with iPhone software. Upgraded firmware to HomeKit compatible function. Rooted around for just about an hour before I found a tip on the web that the HomeKit code is printed in microprint around the outside of the camera bezel. Hand entered the HomeKit code, waited, waited, it connected. - D-Link - powered on, used the code with my camera, it connected to the network and was operational without any software loaded in roughly 3 minutes. :: Winner :: D-Link =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- :: Image Quality :: (see uploads, cameras stacked and unfortunately bottom of Logitech is cutting off top of D-Link image... otherwise D-Link is 180° too) - Logitech - has multiple settings for camera angle with what appears to be some kind of internal lens mechanism based upon the clicking inside the unit as the angle of view is changed. Options for reducing from HD in the event the network cannot sustain the traffic from the camera. Image has low saturation of colors and fairly narrow color range with a high white point which ultimately makes images look a bit washed out, especially in the red range. Image was a bit grainy even at HD quality. - D-Link - only one setting for the camera, fisheye. Image quality is richly saturated wide color range which represented the field of view beautifully with red reds and blue blues. Incredibly sharp image. The Logitech image looks like the sun was blazing white hot, which it was not. The D-Link image captured the actual backyard as it appeared to the naked eye. In the two images, if you cannot see the file names, the D-Link is the one that appears to not be 180° as the Logitech is balanced on top of the D-Link obscuring part of the D-Link's view from the top of the D-Link image. :: Winner :: D-Link =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- :: Storage :: - Logitech - offers no internal camera storage. Offers no way to route the live feed or storage to an FTP or WebDAV server inside your network (like a NAS or home server). Offers no alternative storage like Box, iCloud, etc. Only option is to store images and video on Logitech's servers. Logitech servers were very slow and constantly causing the software to give warnings about network issues event though my network tests out at 100 to 150Mb/s FiOS bidirectional throughput. We easily watch 3 different Netflix HD videos regularly in the house with no noticeable degradation of network performance for other simultaneous laptop, iPhone or iPad users. Be relegated to storing your images and video on the Logitech server forces you to put your trust in Logitech's security... - D-Link - stores images and video on internal microSD card. Provides live feed directly back to Home app (HomeKit) viewer with flawless operation. :: Winner :: D-Link for architecture, security, and operation. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- :: Reliability :: "Family Leaves on Vacation Test" Logitech - after a couple of plug and unplug sequences moving it around the house, the Logitech software could not regularly connect to the camera while on the same Wi-Fi. Further the HomeKit connection would regularly fail with a warning that someone else was using the camera when nothing else was using it. Multiple kill and restart of the Home app and the Logitech app made no difference. After establishing operations and leaving the camera alone, it stopped responding sometime during first day of the test. Then it came back off and on but never more than a few seconds and usually just failed during regular connection attempts. D-Link - regardless of how many times it was unplugged and plugged back in while moving it around the house, it sprang to attention like a good soldier. During the "family on vacation" test, the D-Link remained up and flawlessly operational. Every access attempt was met with a speedy connection and flawless video and audio. :: Winner :: D-Link =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- :: Features :: Logitech - offers weather proof operation as well as pure battery operation. The wired camera is compatible with HomeKit after the firmware upgrade while the wireless is not. On the same token, the battery pack can be purchased for the wired camera and turn it into a wireless unit so best of both worlds are possible. The physical design lends itself well for positioning it high in the eves to work on battery power while at the same time you must worry about donating a $250 camera rig to the first perp that recognizes the unit. Further it can be sticky mounted flat on a window for outside monitoring with an additional mount kit for $25 D-Link - only works inside although the inside design lends itself well for sitting on a widow ledge as it's height more than reaches over any window edge to achieve the entire 180°s of viewing angle. It cannot reasonably be mounted outside and is most definitely not water proof. :: Winner :: Logitech =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ::Overall:: I really wanted the Logitech to live up to the operational stability and image quality of the D-Link but in the long run the Logitech operation was so buggy it was unusable. It is suspected that the cloud interaction was the likely culprit. Regardless, cloud storage as a mandatory operational characteristic holds the customer hostage. This experience has resulted a personal hard requirement for any network camera to have it's own storage and it's own way of serving that storage to my client devices ... just like any $30 we cam from China has... Mandatory web cloud storage became a hard fail for all camera product for me as a result of this test. A wireless camera is not truly wireless until it can operate independently of any network service... and be it's own service.

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews, but if there was an issue before its been resolved now. I love this camera and its remarkably easy to use. Also super fast to setup. I came from the canary flex and this was a breeze in comparison. The app on the logitech is amazing and free to use all the cool features, I believe theres a charge for cloud storage and some kind of support system. But 100% recommend!

Too many bugs and issues - enough said. The clarity and quality of the build of this camera is great, but the interaction is horrible. Would take anywhere from a minute to 2 to pull up the view. That is useless to me. I switched to the Ring Floodlights and love them!

I returned this unit. I wanted a camera that integrated with smartthings, google home, alexa, and/or nest. This unit didn't do any of that. The app was cumbersome and the video was 720p. If you only need a simple camera for monitoring entry points this will do the trick, but there arent any decent bells and whistles.

      Hi Lagirl,
Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately the wireless protocall for the Circle cameras to work properly is: 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi 2.4GHz or 5.0GHz. In order for the cameras to have a steady connection with your router. We cannot guarantee the stability of a hot spot connection.

The setup is simple and quick. The most time was fully charging the battery. My only complaint is how long it takes to wake from being idle. People have come and gone from my door before I can talk with them via the camera. Many complaints online at CIrcle2 about this issue.

Hello MikeP! I'm glad you find the setup to be easy and quick! You can adjust your settings to allow your camera to wake up quicker by going to the mount settings and turning them to always on. This will cause the battery to have to be charged more often but will solve the issue. Reason why I said great value is because it does everything well and it's about the same price as all the other competitors. This is hands down a better camera than the Logitech Q and the Lorex pro. It has a rechargeable base if you op for this one that allows you to go wireless.

First of all, it's not multi user friendly. Second of all, for 200 dollars I want it to pan across a room and it doesn't. It just sits in one location it has. Very fish eye view and picture quality was horrible. Plenty of other options out there that are cheaper, have better views, and don't lag when you want to look at the live view. Every time you logged out you had to wait "establish a secure connection".... why? Horrible camera and horrible price.
