Got the Saitek X52 as a gift well over 10 years ago, it has worked just fine the whole time. This is with rough use, in and out of boxes, moving several times, left in a garage for a while. There are certainly higher end higher build quality HOTAS out there, but this one has worked just fine for some time. Lots of good youtube reviews out there.

I hate writing reviews, especially bad ones, but I was excited to get this and when I plugged it in there was only power to maybe 1/3 of it. It only has one USB cable for both items which are connected only to each other through a ps/2 line. I tried multiple troubleshooting methods including a powered USB hub all to no avail. The support regarding this item is pretty lackluster as well. The best part about it was that I live 3 miles away from a Best Buy to take it back quickly. Highly disappointing as it looks great and has all the features I want/need but wasn’t even able to use it.
