Could/should be better

Overall, this headset is okay, but I feel like it should be better for the cost. For background, I game on xbox and pc and have been using headsets for about 10 years. I had a plantronics headset that lasted for 2 years and was a similar price, and I expected similar, if not better results from a company as big in gaming as Astro.
Pros:
- sound quality is good for this price level
- battery life is as advertised
- sturdy build
- wireless
Cons
- This headset is not made for people with large heads. I have it set to the largest setting and it’s a bit tight on the top of my head, making it uncomfortable after a short period of gaming.
- not true wireless since you there is a usb receiver that is connected to the console
- I have had issues with the volume mixer resetting each time I power on the headset. It’s annoying to have to redo that every time I play.
- I am continuously told my mic is quiet, and I had to double my mic volume in game for my friends to hear me. I’ve never had to do that with a headset.

I liked this headset, audio was clear and they were comfortable. Especially liked that I could change controller batteries without losing audio. However mine were defective and would not charge so they only lasted about 2 days. I had to return them and instead of waiting for a new shipment I went back to my wired headset.

Simply the best headset out there. Nearly unbreakable.. with nearly every other careless mishap that has taken the lives of our other headsets, the A20 just keeps on going.
Sound quality is easily good enough. The ear cups are comfortable, the headset does not squeeze your head too tight. Noise cancelling is good but it's not total sound sealing like the Arctic 1 headset.
It feels a little rubber and maybe cheap at first glance and feel. But it won't take you long to appreciate the durability of this headset.

This headset is very comfortable on the ears and has great sound quality for chat and game. The mic is easily muted by pushing it up into a vertical position

Works good, connects fast, gets loud, easy to adjust, sound quality is good, lasts a long time off a single charge, my only complaint is that I cant get it to work to watch TV with. The A50 works to watch TV but this model either does not, or I cant figure it out. Other than that, excellent for Xbox one.

The headset is nice has good sound quality, wish it had two knobs between game and voice volume I can't get it right where I want it with one knob it makes no sense guys!! Plus it's a little tight on ears after a while which can cause a headache and the plastic at the top where it's adjustable ...squeaks ...super annoying

I bought one of these for a 7 year old. It takes the beatings and still sounds great. Highly recommend for kids. His dad bought him a Turtle Beach it lasted 2 weeks. I've had to buy two of these in 3 years.

Overall I'm satisfied with the quality of the audio from these headphones. I do wish that they could be a little louder but it's not bad. Unfortunately for me they are a bit stiff and do hurt my ears after a while but I would still recommend them.

This is a terrific headset and is on par with the G1 A50's. It is also dolby atmos ready. I love not having to use a wire for party chat.
The headset does get warm like the A50's and you can feel the top of the headset, but you hardly notice it after awhile.

Good gaming headset. Bought these for my sons gaming computer and Xbox. They work great and the mute with the flip of the mic is good for him especially when I'm yelling at him to keep it down while his friends are on the other end of the mic. They are still working well and I fldont plan on replacing them for a while.

This is a really nice headset with a good amount of features as well. Sound quality is amazing and comfort is superior to other brands. However, the microphone is awful. I had to return it because it was so bad. When chatting in Xbox live party, my friends said I sounded really muffled and they could hardly hear me. I did research and found this is normal for the headset which is why I returned it. If you're looking for just a wireless gaming headset and don't plan on playing with friends then this is perfect for you.

The feel of these are super comfortable. And the sound is great. But the bass just wasn’t there compared to the Turtle Beach 700s. Also, the durability is great on these. But the reason I chose to go with the turtle beaches was because of connect-ability. The turtle beach 700s connected directly to my one x at the time. These needed a receiver that connected to the back of the Xbox. Not sure if it was because of the receiver and interference from the router, but I kept getting static and low quality sound at some points.
