I was kind of hesitant to buy the speaker. I usually buy Bose, but took a chance. I am glad I did because the sound is crystal clear and the speaker is very loud!

This has really nice sound for the size. So far battery life has been just fine, range is great too. Liking the new speaker, have not tried out the internet connectivity.

Really great speaker for outdoors. Gets pretty loud and it’s easikt portable. Alexa built in is nice. Only works on WiFi though which is a tad annoying.

This little speaker from Ultimate Ears does it all. It's not only Bluetooth, as most portable speakers are, but also supports connecting directly to Wifi or a hotspot and using Alexa to play tunes directly from the net. This means not only can you play music, but access almost any of the "skills" that the Alexa platform has to offer such as trivia, weather, smart home integrations, and more. However, you are not able to use Alexa calling on it at this time...I think this is exclusive to Amazon devices. The speaker itself is pretty compact, more so than I thought it would be. It's about the diameter of a soda can and as tall as a can and a half. It's pretty rugged, but not so much that it's not elegant in its design. It's made to be portable, as it's waterproof (hello pool...) and dust resistant. Sound wise this thing is on par with my Amazon Echo (1st Gen), the very device that introduced us to Alexa. The major difference is the UE Blast can be unplugged and run off of battery. Another major and welcome difference is that the UE has large volume controls on the speaker itself. Sure it's convenient to use Alexa to change the volume---except when it isn't. Like when you are standing next to the speaker. Speaking of changing the volume...wow! This thing gets incredibly loud for as small as it is. Honestly, the only downside I can see is if you do not NEED the portability you might be better off with a wired Alexa device. Not only will it be cheaper but the UE is not made to be plugged in on a nightstand and left there for eternity. In fact, it's kinda difficult to keep it plugged in and standing upright since the power cord comes jutting out of the bottom of the unit. However, there is a "Power Up" base that can serve as a home for the speaker and will charge it---but it's sold as an accessory. Overall, I really like this speaker and would recommend it to anyone whose in the market for either an Alexa enabled voice assistant or a bluetooth speaker.

Compared to the Harmon Kardon which is the same exact price it does not have as deep, room filling bass as that speaker. I think you pay for the waterproof feature which to me isn’t a factor. I like the sleek design and it has good enough sound to use on my balcony and in my little home gym, but I wouldn’t have paid full price for this.

This speaker sounds like you are right there at a concert. The features are fantastic and the sound is so clear. The Alexa and Bluetooth are great.

Got this one for me at home since I have a portable. Sounds good and easy to use. Will be buying base stand charger for more ease of using.

We use this speaker around the pool. Excellent sound. Also the speaker dropped in the pool, no problem, we got it out and turned right back on. Fantastic!

Use it maybe once or twice a week and don't have to charge it often. Sounds wonderful and never have an issue with it.

Needed decent Bluetooth speaker with solid connectivity and good non-tinny sound for a nice price. This filled the bill. Nice bass too.

This is awesome. I am at 8+ hours of playing time on same charge and still going. Great sound and even better if you use amazon prime for more choices
