Gotta day for such a small contraption it puts out some big sound. I shopped around and compared many portable speakers, this one was definitely a lot of bang for the buck. The Alexa feature is super handy as well! Would definitely make this purchase again!

Great unit. Sound quality high. This is my second UE. Disappointed that the app won’t allow you to play a Blast and older style Boom simultaneously. I guess something with the tech is limiting this.

Deep rich sound out of such a small device. Alexa enabled to voice smart home enabled devices. My favorite is "Alexa, turn on the espresso machine!". This can also be disabled if you are creeped out by Amazon listening to all of your conversations :-)

This speaker puts out some serious sound. Waterproof model makes it excellent for the lake life. The charge didn’t last as long as it should have, but long enough for a good time.

Great speaker, quality sound. Range of options through the app, including pairing with another speaker, which is really nice. Washed paint off in sink, no problem. Waterproof as stated.

Works great! Took this too the beach and the sound was awesome. It gets loud and doesn’t get distorted at max volume. The bass isn’t the best but that’s to be expected with smaller speakers. Got it on sell for $75. Definitely worth the money.

Luckily i got this when it was on sale for $100 off. I had a good amount of rewards money from purchasing an apple watch for my wife. So i got this for like $37. Regular price i $180 which is outrageous because it is not worth that much. The sound is just ok. I also have an older jbl charge that sounds just as good. My oontz angle xl sounds better than both of them. The plus is it is waterproof and has alexa. I would say if you can get it for 100 off its a good deal but no way worth $180

I have owned this speaker for quite a few years now and it is amazing. I wanted to wait before writing a review and I have to say, it has not let me down. Moderate to great bass and the long-lasting battery. Definitely, a must buy.

Purchased this for myself, Great quality speaker for the price. Easy to use and works with Alexa. It is my go-tol patio and travel speaker. I have never had a bad speaker from this company.

Again it’s water proof spent memorial weekend in the pool floating with it falling in the water. Very loud outdoors so be mindful, Bluetooth connection is great except underwater but that’s a non-issue. Overall very happy with the perchase.

He speaker sounds amazing!! BUT I have issues with it. For starters the speaker will not connect to other Amazon echo devices and it’ll only connect to other UE Blast and some of its bigger variants. The build quality is great and its light but if you wanted to get a portable with home use with other amazon devices its not going to happen. Battery life is good but on occasion he sound interrupts itself when on WiFi. If what you want is portable and loud then this is great for your needs.

After trying to get many portable speakers, this was the best option I found. I can even take them into the pool because they are IP67!! The sound quality is very good and the battery has a decent duration

Can be a little tricky to set up but once that's accomplished sounds great. Like being able to carry speaker to various locations in the house, inside and out.

I am very pleased with how easy it was to setup the UE Blast working with Alexa. My daughter is really happy with it and loves the sound!!

Sounds great, good size for back patio while hanging in the pool and for a bbq. Had the baseball game on last evening while enjoying the spa. Bought on "deal of the day" for great price. That was a bonus!

Intro This Amazon’s Alexa enabled speaker sounds good and it is waterproof so go ahead and take it with you in the shower. With Alexa enabled, you can play your favorite music from Amazon’s music library and control your Alexa compatible smart home devices. It has two speakers which delivers surprisingly loud volume and 360 immersive sound. It is loud enough to fill a very large room with very clear and rich sound. Not so good at the top of the volume level as you might expect but I can’t enjoy music at that volume level anyways so I don’t go there. Bass is good especially from such a small speaker. Overall, I think this speaker produces great sound. It has multiple, beam forming mics and sound cancelling for voice control. It works good but I found that the Amazon Echo Dot can hear a bit better. So, when you’re blasting your music, don’t expect it to hear you especially when you are not near it without shouting. In a quiet environment with just ambient sounds, it can hear very good. With my normal speaking voice, it heard me from as far as 40+ feet away. Charge time is a little over 2 hours and lasts just about 16 hours on standby connected to wifi and I’ve gotten an average of 12 hours and 15 minutes of continuous music on medium volume level. So, If you want to have Alexa at your beck and call 24/7 and non-stop music, you have to get the Power Up charging dock ($40). The charging port is located on the bottom so you have to lay it down on its side or upside down to charge it. Having the charging dock remedies this too. Ultimate Ears app for iOS (also available for Android - did not test) lets you see the status of the Blast like battery charge, wifi and bluetooth connection. You can turn off the mic for those times when you don’t want to use voice control. You can use it to update the firmware and set other settings. The Blast also gets listed in the Alexa app if you register it with your Amazon account. It’s pretty light but feels solidly built with smooth, soft rubber and a mesh grill. Distinctive Ultimate Ears plus and minus for the volume control is unmistakably large but it doesn’t bother me, anymore. Pros - Alexa enabled - Versatile at home or on the go - IP67 waterproof Cons - Charging port location - No other music streaming services available Outro This Blast speaker is for any music loving tech geek like me. The versatility and portability is a big plus for people that want to take their music and voice control with them with its built-in Alexa (wifi or hotspot req’d) and rechargeable battery. There are better speakers out there with Alexa built-in like the new Sonos One and of course the Amazon line but I like this one overall because of its versatile features. This one lets Alexa sing in the rain!!

Don't misunderstand my review title. This thing is pretty incredible. IP rated, loud, very well designed aesthetically. I just wonder if maybe UE didn't rush the tech they put inside this speaker. I bought this less than 60 days ago and I have had at least 3 occasions where it either would not power up or Alexa would not function properly. In all cases, I either had to shut it down and restart it or 'reboot' it per UE's instructions....something they say you shouldn't do if at all possible. Hmmm! Makes me wonder if I should have bought it at all.

Very good, I have a Megablast and it's spectacular, but the Blast does not sound that strong, but for the size that you have, if it sounds very loud, I would say the same or almost as the megaboom 3, although this is the second Blast since the first one they gave me was defective and the same day I tried it and changed it and if I did not return it is because I already owned a megablast and it seemed strange to me that the blast was defective in everything, that's why I changed it and the one they gave me this spectacular, I join with the megablast and the sound is impressive, easy I make a party in my house, thanks Ultimate Ears for such good products.

This speaker has been a real delight. The small size makes it super easy to use anywhere. I love how easy it is for an older person like myself to use. Highly recommend it.
