I like the fit, design, & sound. Works well indoors but is terrible outdoors. Firmware helps, but the left ear piece still cuts out quite often. If I put my hand over my ear (like when i rest my head against my palm) it will cut out the signal. Too finicky imo, but the lack of cable is nice

Pros *Great sound, and the app to tweak the settings are amazing *They fit great and are very comfortable * Comfortable volume settings Cons *Bluetooth cuts in and out and this is the main purpose of no wires. No matter where the phone is placed there are still issues * Jaybird.... Told me the Jaybird Runs where not out in the market.. yet i got them on the release date. Support is useless, reset your headphones, place the phone etc.... Yes, thank you i can read a manual also. End of the matter , going to return based on the horrible Bluetooth connection. Going to pre order the Bose. Other then that if there where no Bluetooth issues these would be awesome!

    the best truly wireless earbuds

WOW just wow, i am so so impressed with these earbuds. i was skeptical first but then after my workout session i am in love with these earbuds, they DO NOT fall off and the sound is amazing. in fact the app has some great presets to choose from, i am a 6 foot guy who works out a lot and my workout are not just running but a whole lot of lifting weights and kick boxing and these earbuds didnt come off, in fact they don't feel anything in ear as they are so light weight, i am very sensitive about what i put in my ears that's why i cannot handle headphones as they are bulky so these are the best for me. so if you are looking for some true wireless earbuds for a decent price (compared to the competition), and want them to NOT fall off and have a great connectivity then these are for you. keep in mind guys you need a good phone with better bluetooth in it , a lot of people blame the connectivity on the earbuds but they dont look at their phone's bluetooth version. i am using an iphone 8 plus which has bluetooth 5.0 and so far it has a decent amount of range which is enough for me to workout in the gym, all in all i am so pleased with my purchase.

These headphones are so great for listening to music or podcasts. I love the sound quality and not having to deal with wires, it makes it so much more enjoyable. The battery life is excellent and they fit well without hurting my ears or falling out. I love them so much I'm ordering a pair for my husband.

Pros—style (they’re small, sit nicely in the ear, not bulbous like Bose seems to think is ‘good design’); comfortable—they got this right too. I found a good fit with the included tips very quickly; sound—well balanced and the app gives you tons of options that you can try (TBH most of them are overhyped—they are all just moving around the same equalizer slider that you can alter yourself); battery life: decent for this type of headset (much better than Sony’s which are really poor for battery life). So why only two stars? Cons—connectivity is really bad. (Bose and Sony both suffer similarly) Turn your head and, um, wait? Where’d the left sound go? Turn head back... resumes. Move iPhone from hand to pocket— yup, sometimes ok, oftentimes not. Move from right pocket to left (like most of these devices the right side ‘leads’ and the left side is left trying to figure out what the heck is going on. In the gym, which is why I purchased these sweat/heat/everything resistant sports-targeted headphones, these things were simply distracting and an exercise in how NOT to focus on your workouts because you were too distracted by the way the music was constantly cutting in and out, full sound to right side only, etc. I do not have any implants or such that might interfere either—the signal connectivity is THAT fragile that turning my head is enough of a barrier that the signal breaks. Really lame engineering—esp from a company that seems to pride itself on serving needs of a highly active audience. In Summary—read all the reviews before you buy. I did, and also noticed that a recent firmware upgrade supposedly fixed this connection issue. Hence my willingness to try them. Sadly the upgrade did not fix this. Mine were returned. Best Buy, as always, was great about it—no hassle, easy, plus an apology that something they sold me was such a disappointment. Testing another manufacturer’s headphones now (yes I bought them at Best Buy!). Review will follow...

The JayBird Run earbuds fit nicely in my ear (they come with a few different size adapters) and don’t fall out while I’m multi-tasking. I am very happy to have wireless earbuds but they could use some improvements. Pros: 1. Fit snugly in ear; fairly comfortable 2. Small charging case 3. Long battery (haven’t run out yet, but I’m only on the phone for a few hours a day. 4. The earbuds verbally tell you the percentage battery left when you put them in your ear 5. The sync process was seamless 6. You can download their app and adjust sound (base, treble type stuff) and some function settings 7. The sound quality is pretty good - haven’t had anyone tell me they can’t hear me 8. Sound plays in both ears when listening to music (NOT true for phone calls). 9. Supposed to be sweat proof Cons: 1. No sound in the left ear when using the buds on a phone call (ever; that is the way they are designed). Annoying. 2. When on a phone call, you can turn the volume DOWN by pushing the left earbud button (if you set up the app in that manner) but you CANNOT turn up the volume up with the right earbud button. The right earbud button disconnects the call or turns the power off depending on how you click it. However, you can turn the volume UP when listening to music. It is VERY frustrating when I’m listening to music at a low level and then I get a phone call and need to turn the volume up. I can only adjust my cell phone volume but if my earbud volume is too low, I still have a hard time hearing the caller. 3. The earbuds are comfortable but my ears get a little tender when I wear them for a couple hours or longer. 4. The charging case has tiny prongs that line up with the earbuds. One of the prongs came loose on my husband’s pair within 2 weeks and prevented the buds charging. Need to watch out for that and be careful when putting the buds back in the case. 5. Expensive 6. My husband has a pair too and when he is in public, sounds that are far away sound as if they are amplified in my ear. The sounds can be like nails on a chalkboard. That needs to improve!!!!!!! 7. The buds stand out from your ears and look a little odd, but they are much hetter than Apple’s wireless “sticks”, in my opinion. I haven’t found a better pair as of Sep 2018. Happy to have wireless earbuds but I really hope they make improvements.

Pros: True wireless design Premium feeling charging case with several charges worth of battery Google assistant/siri button on left bud makes hands free usage easy They're visually appealing, and in my opinion better looking than airpods They sound great They feel secure when they're in your ears Sweatproof/water resistant Cons: Uncomfortable without comply tips (for me at least) Expensive 4 hour battery life feels a little short if you use them for long periods of time These earbuds are pretty awesome. First off, they look great. They fill up your ears, but you don't get that doofy bit hanging out of your ears like you chopped off the cord of some average apple earbuds. In the week that I've owned them, I've gotten a ton of compliments about them, and more than a couple of people asking me about them. So if you're wanting some stylish buds, these are for you. The charging case feels premium, contains a battery that can provide you with multiple charges without plugging it in, and has a couple of LEDs that indicate whether or not your buds are fully charged, and which one is still charging if you use one more than the other. Making calls on these things is a little odd, as the right bud is the only one that plays the call, even if you have both of them in. Personally it doesn't bother me, I just found it a little odd. I will say that they have a killer feature that I don't see often where they will playback sound captured by your mic while you're using it, so you can hear yourself speak. It's a small thing, but it makes phone calls and using google assistant/siri so much easier, since you don't feel like you have to yell to be heard. Honestly, when I'm on the phone, the only hint that I have something in my ears is the person's voice playing into my right ear. The pairing process is pretty much idiot-proof. You literally just pull them out of their charging case, search for them on your phone, press connect and you're done. I was up and running within one minute of opening the box. As for post-pairing usage... as long as your phone has its bluetooth on, all you have to do is pull them out of the charging case, and they automatically turn on and connect. Keep in mind though, that the right earbud is the primary, so if you only want to use one earbud to keep an open ear, you have to use the right one. It's not much of an issue for me, but for some it might be. As for functionality, each bud has a button on it, the right bud is your standard contextual play/pause/answer call/end call, and if you double click it it will skip to the next song. Your left bud controls google assistant and siri. I haven't played with this yet, but supposedly the jaybird app allows you to customize your button layout, but the default setup is intuitive enough that I feel no need to. All that fancy stuff is nice, but at the end of the day, in-ear headphones need to fulfill two criteria... they need to sound good, and feel good. As for sound, they sound pretty incredible out of the box. They have a good amount of bass while still maintaining clarity in the mids and highs. I upgraded from a cheap pair of skullcandies, and I realized how crappy my mp3 recordings actually were. (I have a lot of songs obtained from the limewire/napster days, as well as a few I downloaded from youtube, and these are the first earbuds that have really shown me all the compression artifacts that infest those recordings. At first I was worried it was the earbuds, but after listening to a song that was a FLAC, and several songs on pandora, that worry went right out the window. These are seriously the best sounding earbuds I've ever owned. As for comfort... this one is a lot more subjective, as my initial experience with them was pretty negative if I'm going to be completely honest. While they definitely stick in your ears, and feel secure, I found that no matter which fin or eartip I put on, the right bud just kept hurting my ear after using it for longer than an hour. I was pretty bummed out, and thought about returning them, but I decided to try buying some comply tips before doing so, as I loved everything about these buds, and didn't want to give up so soon. After replacing the tips with comply foam tips, I was in love. I leave the right bud in almost all day, and were it not for the music playing into my ear, I'd likely forget it was there. If you have smaller ears like I do, invest in some comply tips, and these will feel great. Bottom line: These are great true wireless earbuds, they sound way better than the airpods, have better functionality, look better, and once I put on the comply tips they felt more comfortable than the airpods too. If you don't care as much about the true-wireless aspect of them, it may behoove you to save some money and get the Jaybird Freedom 2s, as they're only 99$, but you sacrifice the true wireless feature in lieu of a single wire between them.

Bought these for my walks, runs and while I'm playing tennis and just hitting the ball around. Sound quality is good and is better enhanced by the Jaybird app which allows you to tweak and fine tune the sound to your liking. They fit relatively good in my ears and aren't overly bulky. These are the first wireless headphones that I've been able to keep from falling out of my ears. The Bluetooth connection can break up if your phone/device gets obstructed by your body or other objects. The main link between the headphones and your device is the right ear bud. As long as I keep my phone on my right arm, or in a waist pouch and somewhere near the right side of my body, I have zero bluetooth issues. So far I really like these headphones and don't regret the purchase.

    Cuts out too much

I had high hopes for Jaybird's completely wireless earbuds. I like their other wireless earbuds, they are rugged, you can tune the sound how you want, and they have some nice features. But they could never stay fully connected to my phones (iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS Max, S8+, and Note9). They would always cut out about 5-6 times during a one hour period and that's just too much. The positive reviews for the Runs pushed me to buy them only to return the earbuds the next day. Jaybird did make a comfortable pair of earbuds that block out a decent amount of noise, the custom EQ is back and I really enjoy it, switching between Bluetooth sources was easy, and Jaybird offers tons of tips so you will find your right fit. The charging case is nice and compact though I wish it had more status lights to actually determine the battery level in the case instead of just a guess. The earbuds should also magnetically snap into place but that doesn't happen here. Half the time I didn't even know the earbuds were inserted incorrectly until the case lid refused to close. Sound quality is really good despite these using SBC for connecting, Jaybird is even good with providing updates. But these, much like every pair of Jaybird earbuds, would cut out and these were the worst of any pair of Jaybird earbuds I tried. It didn't matter if I was at the gym, in my office, walking downtown, or at home. These would constantly cut out and it was distracting. I understand Bluetooth headphones/earbuds cutting out maybe once every 3-4 hours, 2-3 times in a given day, but not as consistently as these did. I tried these with my current iPhone and work phone (XS Max and Note9, respectively) and the earbuds performed the same with both. I could lay my phone on the desk with nothing next to it, turn my head a bit, and these would cut out. I initially thought that my pair was bad so I exchanged them. The second pair did the exact same thing. I even opened them in the store, paired them, and had them skip. An employee hooked them up to their phone (LG ThinQ7) and they did the same thing. I exchanged them for a pair of SoundSport Frees and did the same thing: opened them in the store and paired them to my phone. The earbuds didn't skip. I put my phone in my pocket and the earbuds didn't skip. I can have my phone/s at my desk, in my pocket, in my back, I can be walking outside, walking downtown, or doing any number of things and the earbuds don't skip. I will get about 1 skip every 4-5 hours with the earbuds and that's fine. It's usually when my phone is in my pocket and I'm at the gym where there are multiple other Bluetooth headphones/earbuds all fighting for the same bandwidth. That's understandable. It's not understandable that Jaybird continues to release earbuds that maintain such a poor connection to their source devices. I am also surprised that most of the reviews don't point this out. Some did but they received backlash online. I'm not sure if Jaybird is sponsoring online reviews or not but it's a shame. I will never buy another Jaybird product until they fix the most important aspect needed for wireless earbuds: their connectivity.

I really liked the Jaybird Run XT headphones for several reasons. They had the best fit for my ears out of all the wireless headphones I've tried, battery life was fantastic, and the sound quality was great. Sadly I had to return them for one reason: the pairing process. The right headphone is considered the "master," which means it pairs to your mobile device and then the left headphone pairs to the right one. Of course this means you can't just take the left one out by itself and use it solo. This was an unfortunate choice on Jaybird's part, and one that cause me to return an otherwise perfect pair of headphones.

I love the Jaybird RUN earbuds! They allow me to walk with the dogs without getting cords and wires tangled up in dog leashes. I can be free with my music in the woods, on the street and just sitting in the backyard. I normally don’t like earbuds because they are so uncomfortable, but these feel great. I was able to use the tips to find the right size for my ear canal and now I forget they are there. I can even take calls with the multi-function button on my walk without having to dig out my phone and disrupt the flow. The sound is amazing! It has very clear, distortion-free with excellent midrange and highs. Even the bass is very good. I wasn’t expecting this much sound quality from these little earbuds! If you are looking for the perfect earbuds for your workout, try Jaybird RUN wireless earbuds- you won’t be disappointed!

I’m in long time Jaybird user and fan! When the Run was announced, I was more than excited. That excitement dwindled quickly when I purchased the headphones and found that I could not walk more than 10 feet without connectivity problems. It was awful! I returned them the next day. When I read the review about the firmware update, and the improvements it made in connectivity, I was curious. I purchased another pair that already had the updated firmware loaded. To say the least, they are everything I dreamed they would be when they were first announced! I now have absolutely no connectivity problems, and the sound is typical Jaybird quality! Awesome! I highly recommend these headphones!

I was in the market to replace an inexpensive pair of wireless Bluetooth earbuds. I'm not an Apple guy but thought about purchasing the Air Buds but you loose some functionality when paired with an Android device so I passed on them (why spend the $ and lose functionality). I did some quick reading of reviews while in the store and settled on these. I am an active runner and biker (trails mostly) and wanted something wireless, well-fitting and wouldn't come loose, fall out, and that maintains a good connection. So far, so good. The fit is great! For my ears, the OOTB setup was the right fit for my ears. They offer several different sized ear tips in case you need to make an adjustment. Snug, doesn't come loose, sweat doesn't impact the fit, and they stay right hwere I put them. The connection is good. There was one occasion when walking, where the connection in the left earbud would drop when I turned my head to look far right. I was able to reproduce it by simply looking to the right. I had my phone in the inside front pocket of a heavy jacket but I wouldn't think that would be an issue. Anyway, I've not had this issue when running, or biking so it's really not a real concern, but felt I should mention it. Charging station is great. Like a little pod to hold the earbuds. Battery life is good and you receive a verbal indication of battery life when you power them on. Nice feature. Oh, I should mention the sound is very good, Great balance of highs and lows. Volume is controlled by the paired device, there are no controls for volume on the earbuds themselves. Owned these about a month now and I'm very happy with them.

They Feel better than the Bose. I like the strong battery life. Wish I knew more about how to answer calls with it. And use of volume control. My ears get sore after a couple of hours listening to them. I still like the fitment of my Samsung Icons and their “touch” capability rather than the “push” capability of the Jay bird. The Jaybird fit better in the ear Than bose. But still the same way they both attach. I also kind of wish the volume could go even louder for those songs that just drive you.
