Sound is clear, the mic seems to pick me up pretty clearly. Playing COD MW on the X1 the directional sound isnt always ideal but usually i could tell where its coming from.

Great sound. I would have like the mic to be easier to bend. When you wanted it out of the way. But overall good headset. Would purchase again for the xmas sale price.

First thing I noticed when using these with PS4 is the volume level is low, even with the in-line volume level at maximum. I had to turn the volume level on the PS4 setting up to a few notches from maximum. This headset has pretty decent clarity, but the bass is a little thin. Explosions, gun shots and such don't have the impact that you would expect. Microphone seems to be very good on this headset and it is detachable, as is the the 3.5mm connector cord.
Comfort wise they are easy to wear for extended gaming sessions. They come with a secondary set of ear cushions, but I found the leatherette ones that come already attached were the best. These are over the ear design and should work for most ear sizes. They can also be rotated to lay flat if you have them resting on your neck, which is a plus.
I would say these are good for gaming, but not as much so for music listening. I did notice the audio cuts out periodically while gaming and am not sure why. I would say these are worth a buy for those who want a solid build quality and a comfortable fit for extended gamins sessions.

Got this for my son for xmas. He has a wireless headset for his xbox already, which he likes but wanted this so it wouldn't need to recharge. He likes how it feels, but says it's sometimes hard to hear as well as his other headset (maybe because it plugs into the xbox hand controller?) We need to play around with this some more to see if he simply doesn't have an adjustment set right, but for now it's 3 stars as it didn't come ready (if adjustment is needed) for use.

This G PRO headset was used with a PC for gaming and evaluation. Like many of their gaming mice, Logitech has combined “light” with “durable” construction for this headset. Sound is excellent, and compatible with both Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos. Noise-cancellation is not available, but the ear cups fit nicely over the ears and minimize outside noise interference. The microphone is easy to adjust and very flexible, which I prefer to the hard plastic “flip down” design on some other headsets I have used. The headset is very light, and well cushioned for long periods of game play, especially when wearing glasses. The appearance is very conservative and may be especially attractive to the gamer who doesn’t desire a lot of splash on their headset (you can’t see it anyway, so comfort may win out over “sizzle” in this case). For the price, these are one of the better pairs of headsets for gaming. Audiophiles probably want to look elsewhere, but for game play and getting the nuances of sound needed to keep track of what is going on around you during game play, this headset is among one of the top performers in the price range.

Title says it all. Good sound quality in the headphones. Mic works decent, there are much better mics out there, but for the price point of the Pro’s I can’t complain.

This is the best headset I've ever purchased. Placing it on my head feels like I'm in bed, cozied up. My girlfriend has to throw something at me to get my attention due to the noise cancelling and the mic quality is clear as a sunny day.

High-Fidelity Sound in a Sleek Package

Connecting Logitech’s G Pro Wired Surround Sound Gaming Headset to my computer was blissfully analog. With just a pair of 3.5mm audio connectors, the experience hearkened back to hooking up my first set of professional-grade headphones many years ago, where packaging and documentation was minimal, but there was clearly little time or budget spent anywhere outside of designing a pair of headphones for pure audio reproduction. The G Pro’s almost-artistic spec sheet on the back of the box exhumes Logitech’s confidence, which would be seen as arrogant if the cans couldn’t deliver.
I was not disappointed. Logitech’s offering brings clear, crisp sound on par with entry level studio monitors and looks good doing it while staying firm yet comfortable on the head. One small annoyance detracts from a nearly perfect experience, but the target market for this headset will likely find nothing amiss here.
- Design and Comfort
Unlike Logitech’s other gaming-oriented headsets, the G Pro takes a simple approach and features a minimalistic design with high-quality materials throughout. The plastics, leathers, padding, and aluminum frame all have a premium feel. The end result is a lightweight headset that feels remarkably robust compared to their other entries in the lineup. There is no flex, play, or rattle to speak of here. The heavy duty braided cable, gold-plated connectors, and beefed up wire termination points are all welcome touches that should increase its lifespan as well. Inline controls can clip to a shirt to stay readily at-hand, and the removable microphone allows the headset to become a pair of headphones as desired.
The trade-off from a durable design is that the headphones come across as stiff, which yields a clamping force on the head higher than anticipated, even when adjusted to be as loose as possible. I have a large head and while the grip was by no means uncomfortable, it took a week of regular use for the pads to soften up and become enjoyable for long game sessions. The headset does not shift or slide around on the head, remaining put even during heated moments in VR games.
- Sound Quality
Using the headset for the first time let me hear where Logitech spent most of its R&D budget. I was seriously impressed with the cans to the point where I would argue they’re within striking distance of studio monitors. Bass is very clear and distortion-free even at super low frequencies, which many mass-market headphones at this price point struggle to reproduce accurately, if they can at all. A mostly-flat response curve through the middle and high frequency ranges translate to an excellent listening experience with crisp vocals and sharp high notes.
What makes the sound quality particularly impressive is that the headphones have an impedance of 32 ohms, making them suitable for use in phones, tablets, and game systems and controllers (for those unaware, higher impedance = more electrical “resistance” in the headphones, meaning more power is needed to make them loud. Earbuds are very low resistance but tend to have poor sound quality; professional recording headphones are very high resistance). They will get moderately loud sound from most devices, but the output from a computer or stereo are ideal. Regardless, the headphones reap a slight benefit in sound quality using an external, powered DAC + amplifier, but I would not say one is required by any means.
Sound isolation from the earpads is adequate. The firm grip on the head is needed to provide the effect, and I did notice a moderate reduction in background noise that made listening easier. The hum of an air conditioner or PC will still make its way to your ears (they aren’t active noise-cancelling), but once audio starts playing it’s easy to focus.
The only issue I ran into with sound was that the microphone is exceptionally quiet. The included wind filter does a good job isolating pops and low ambient noise, and I do wonder if this was the culprit for needing to compensate with a huge microphone offset in Windows. Even with the artificial volume boost, voice quality was very good, and the flexible neck of the microphone allows for quick de facto volume adjustments to push the pickup further or closer to your face if your teammates complain.
- Convenience
Inline controls are about a foot and a half down the headset cord and are easy to access. The volume slider is firm and won’t change if it brushes up against your shirt or another surface (a problem I ran into with older Logitech sets). I did find that the microphone mute/unmute switch was stiff and difficult to actuate single-handed, but was workable once you got used to it.
The only gripe I have is one that likely won’t bother audiophiles nor anyone in the headset’s “pro-gamer” target market, but I was personally disappointed by the lack of a USB adapter in the kit. 3.5mm headphone and microphone connectors are the only connectivity options offered (a 2-in-1 cable is included for single-jack laptops), making a sound device or output of some sort a requirement to use these. A USB adapter would have included a DAC and thus likely reduced the sound quality, so I can understand why Logitech chose to omit, but the extra option would’ve added tremendous convenience for casual users seeking high-quality sound.
- Bottom Line
This is a fantastic headset all around. Though I have several sets of high-end headphones at my disposal, I found myself pulling the microphone out and simply using the Logitech G Pro headset whenever convenient. Sound reproduction is much closer to studio monitor quality than headsets in this price category, and the ability to use these without a dedicated amp made them far more usable across all my devices. The firm grip and lack of a USB adapter don’t materially detract from the experience, and thus I highly recommend these for anyone looking for quality sound for their PC, regardless of their use case.

This is my second pair of Logitech headphones. They are excellent for Discord and excellent for music. I bought these because my first pair of $39.99 Logitech performed way above their price range (blue set). The blue ones were sold out at Bestbuy when I went to get my second pair, so I bought these because they were the next price point and my store has low inventory of everything most of the time. The best thing about the Logitech headphone functionality is the software. It makes them perform above their price point. Don't pay above $100 for headphones. You are wasting money you could be spending on other things.

The headset is nice, and feels very good. The reason I am upset is the first time it shipped to my house, it woudnt work. I went to bestbuy and they ordered me another one, this time the audio sounds like it’s underwater. I don’t know what the problem is but, hopefully this time it works.
