Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the high-quality build, responsive keys, and customizable RGB backlighting of the G513 Carbon keyboard. Many appreciate the comfortable wrist rest and the ease of use, finding the typing experience satisfying. While some users experienced minor issues with the software and the lack of dedicated media controls, the positive feedback on the keyboard's core features outweighs these concerns. The clicky switches are frequently praised for their satisfying feel.

I love a good mechanical keyboard, and given how expensive most of them are I was surprised when this one worked so well, being one of the cheaper options available. Keys are spaced nicely and easy to see, and the pulsing colors go perfectly with the CyberPower PC and mouse I bought!

I tried out this keyboard and originally thought that it would be too loud. However, each click is utterly satisfying to both my fingers and both my wife and my ears. Each keystroke is extremely responsive and the colors are vibrant. I really enjoy this keyboard and would recommend it to anyone.

Son's keyboard wasn't doing it for his gaming so we shopped and decided on a mechanical keyboard. Nice responsive feel on the keys. No light bleed from under the caps. Haven't used all it's capabilities yet but he is so happy with the ability to tune individual keys.

Great keyboard! I love RGB lighting and the durability of the keys. During gaming sessions I tend to abuse my keys with hard impacts and these keys have held up to the abuse. The wrist pad that's included also makes for a comfortable experience as well

As a disclaimer, I did not buy this keyboard for gaming, but for typing. I'm not the best typist in the word, but the feeling of this keyboard made me feel as if I was typing faster due to the feeling. The clickliness is really satisfying, however if you don't know too much about blue switches, they're loud which is why I had to return it and get the same keyboard but with the brown switches. I live with other people and it was bothering so, I had to return it, but it doesn't take that this is one of the best full keyboards that do not have Cherry switches. The wrist pad is also a nice addition and the face that it is not attached to the keyboard means you can take it anywhere if you work at a place and need to type.

I like this keyboard a lot, the clicks of the keys are very satisfying. When I start up my computer it flashes all the colors. All the buttons light up at all times. Comes with a wrist rest thing. Good keyboard.

just upgraded from the G413. The keys a bit more responsive and the light patterns are great. It also comes with a good quality wrist pad which my old keyboard did not. A little expensive, but worth the cost.

Looks clean. Lights look good and sync up with other Logitech stuff through the Logitech Gaming Software app. Slightly different feel than the normal Cherry MX blue switches, but I feel like I'm flying so not really a complaint so much as an observation. It feels solid and definitely stays put on the desk. The included wrist pad is definitely a plus for me. Really nice. It only has two indicator lights with the num lock not included. That really makes no difference to me but if you rely heavily on a num lock indicator light then you may want to keep looking! Again, just an observation. I've only had it for a week or so, but so far so good. Solid, clean keyboard.

I REALLY like this keyboard--the keys work well and you do not have to hit the key hard (opposed to other logitech keyboards). The changing colors also add appeal to the keyboard.

This is an excellent keyboard ... the problem is with Logitech's junk G Hub software. It's garbage-ware. Buy it for the keyboard, install the software to get the color layout you want and then uninstall the G Hub.

I’m an all’s guy that just so happens to have a couple of kids into gaming. I always loved the led lit, mechanical keyboards they used for gaming versus the boring Dell I had for work. So, I decided to get a new gaming keyboard when my Dell finally gave out. I am loving this keyboard! It’s much more responsive than anything I’ve ever used before, the “clicking” feedback is more efficient for me, and it looks cool as heck. Fit and form is clean and sleek with no flaws. The only down is that it is loud-so put your phone on mute if you’re typing during a meeting. Otherwise, great product.

My current gaming keyboard. I like how you reprogram keys to certain colors with the software. It is great for FPS games. For regular typing it is ok, but for gaming it is great!

    Good keyboard, lousy LEDs

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I'm a big fan of RGB LED setups, not just for the gimmicks of the design but because you can change the color and highlight keys without having to swap keycaps or alter the entire design of your system. Just click a few buttons and bam, you go from neon green, to blackout, to rainbow, to something more mellow, to something that matches that new headset you bought. The issue comes in when different manufacturers use different LEDs of different brightness for their RGB setup, as "purple" for one component might be "blue" for another or "red" for another, depending of the strength of the given diodes. This is where this keyboard first suffers. If you set the G513 to "white" what you get is a ghostly green hue. You have to sit there and manually adjust the colors to get them in sync properly to display an actual arctic white color because the LEDs themselves are not equal power. This is the kind of thing I would expect from a computer case using a bunch of off the shelf Chinese parts to make their RGB setup, not from a $130 keyboard made by a name brand company. This problem is even more confusing when you look at Logitech's other components. For instance, I own a G600 mouse, also with RGB, and its colors are spot on. I have to manually tweak the keyboard separately from the mouse by the same manufacturer, not good. This is nothing to say of the build quality of the lights. The "J" key on the keyboard is currently "stuck" on red while the rest of the keys are purple because the blue LED for it is weakening and it sticks out like a sore thumb. The keys themselves have a nice click but the larger keys like the shift and backspace feel like they're a little flimsy. The right shift actually got stuck for a few days before I "broke it in" and it began to work more fluidly. They don't feel as solid as a Cherry Blue switch which they're trying to emulate so hard, and honestly I'm not sure why they went proprietary with the switch choice. The board itself looks clean and stylish, the bespoke logo and slim design make it work with a variety of build styles, and the included memory foam wrist rest is much appreciated. As is the full power USB passthrough, which is only kind-of a pass through because the board itself occupies 2 USB ports. Overall I really wanted to like the board, but $130 for this shoddy build quality is unacceptable. I've owned this board for just a few months and it is already losing an LED, this is unacceptable. I would recommend a Corsair or some other manufacturer that uses genuine Cherry switches for your RGB keyboard.

this is a very nice keyboard, it does everything it claims to do and I havent run into any issues so far in the week or so that i've used it. after games i find that my fingers arent as tired as they normally would be when i used my previous keyboard and it seems very responsive. i chose the gx blue switches because when i tried it in store it had the feel and sound that i was looking for however when i got home i realized that the sound was significantly louder compared to in store which makes sense but i think ill probably exchange it for ones with a different switch which was my fault and not logitechs. the only other reason it didnt get a 5 star was because as nice as the wrist pad is i was disappointed in the fact that there wasnt an option to attach it to the keyboard and make it once piece but other than that it is a fantastic keyboard and functions well and the design is pretty sleek and software to control lighting was easy
