Customers are delighted by the high-quality build, responsive keys, and customizable RGB backlighting of the G513 Carbon keyboard. Many appreciate the comfortable wrist rest and the ease of use, finding the typing experience satisfying. While some users experienced minor issues with the software and the lack of dedicated media controls, the positive feedback on the keyboard's core features outweighs these concerns. I made the mistake of letting my wife borrow my G810+ mechanical gaming keyboard. She ended up loving it and was having a hard time giving it back when it was time to get myself a new gaming rig. So, I bought her this keyboard and she LOVE it! The Logitech colors are pretty nice, not corsair nice, but the benefit is I do not have to use glitchy iCue. the Logitech G software is leaps and bounds more stable. The keys have a wonderful click and tactile feel. Well done logi.

Great keyboard for people who work and play

This keyboard is great if you love mechanical switches (especially colicky ones) for things like gaming or even just typing for normal purposes like work. Usually people who like to game prefer a tenkeyless keyboard, but I also use this keyboard for work so I needed it and this was the best keyboard I could find in my price range. The braided USB cable seems sturdy and looks nice and the USB pass-through on the keyboard is convenient if you have a wireless mouse or want to charge your phone or even want to plug in a usb storage device to transfer data without having to reach to the back of the computer. The included armrest is very comfortable in my opinion as I work on a computer for 8 hours a day. I did swap out most of my keycaps for the HyperX Pudding keycaps for some personal aesthetic choices, but keep in mind that aftermarket keycaps won’t fit correctly on the bottom row of the keyboard and they look and feel a bit wonky or uncentered on some of the larger keys. The Logitech software for the keyboard is decent, however I do use it on my work computer which I can’t download unapproved programs onto and I personally can’t seem to figure out how to use the onboard memory to save custom profiles to the keyboard so I can use the lighting and custom hot keys that I like once I unplug it from my personal computer and plug it into my work computer but that’s alright since I don’t need to go full blown outlandish RGB for data entry and the preinstalled lighting configurations are good too. The only con that I can think of that most people would have is the lack of an indicator for Number Lock and Scroll Lock. They have indicators for Caps Lock and game mode, but not for the other two. Also the keyboard can sound a bit tinny/echo-y if it’s on a hard surface without something a little softer between them like a desk mat or long mousepad. Overall, great keyboard for my personal needs!

A great mechanical keyboard for all

This review would be my second review of a product I bought online. I do own a 3-4 mechanical keyboard, and this keyboard happens to be my favorite. Since I use a lot of MS Excel at my office, the full-size keys, along with the Numpad, are great for my day-to-day routine. The keys are well lit and I am a huge fan of how comfortable this keyboard is. The travel time for the key is just fine. If you are looking for a keyboard to last for a long time and get it's worth, this is the right keyboard for you. The only complaint I would have it that the secondary functions of the keys do not light up. Hence the four stars. Overall, I would recommend this product to all.

Love love love mechanical keyboards, I was trying to find a wireless one but the rep who helped me said its hard to find because they lag when they are wireless so I go this keyboard that is wired but works great. It has that addicting clicking sound, a rainbow style color display, There are different color displays you can assign. It works great for one of the cheaper mechanical keyboards.

Thew Logitech G513 Carbon is an amazing looking keyboard. The wrist rest also quite nice, it's a bit more stiff than the Razer Huntsman Elite rest, but this one is detachable. The anti-slip pads on the keyboard and wrist rest are great, neither slip with reasonable amounts of force. The key switches on this keyboard are not great. They do feel good, but compared to Cherry MX Blue switches, these sound and feel cheaper. For lighting, Logitech G Hub has some great features. LIGHTSYNC works mostly well to sync the lighting from all the devices, but I've noticed that my keyboard doesn't sync with my mouse/mousepad. Overall the G513 is a decent keyboard, especially if you prefer the GX Blue over RomerG style.

The keyboards lighting is bright and looks accurate, its frame is brushed and feels sturdy. The wrist rest is amazing. The switches are nice and clicky. The keycaps, however are cheap feeling, poor quality, and cannot be replaced with another set. Unless you're looking for the Logitech software, there are better options I would consider.

I love this keyboard. I felt better performance out of this then any membrane keyboard. One thing to keep in mind is if your planning on getting new or custom key caps you might wanna get a different brand. This Logitech and others have custom sized CTRL and SPACE keys. CTRL will fit fine but the space key won't. I changed my key caps but had to keep the original SPACE key, which is size 5.75u, since no one at all makes this key cap.

    Logitech G513 keyboard review

This is an awesome keyboard! I *do not* use it for gaming, so I can't speak to how it works with games. I just wanted a "clicky" keyboard, like I've been used to using over the decades. It's easy to use right out of the box, and other keyboard settings can be done through the LGHub software, which you can download from Logitech's site, and be sure and download the LGHub manual. What I found most helpful about the keyboard is being able to set certain keys a different color than other keys, and not have to hunt for them because a different color jumps out at you right away. Actually, that's why I bought the keyboard. As far as setting different key colors, go to the LGHub manual, pages 10, 17, and 18. I first off set the keyboard to go off after a few minutes of inactivity (pg 10), and pages 17 and 18 show you how to do the "Freestyle" key color designations, and it was pretty easy to do. Be sure and have the software program fill your whole screen, as that makes it easier to draw a rectangle around the key you want to color. You can also drag a rectangle around several keys in a row at once, if you want, and color them. I love this keyboard!! The keys have just the right amount of "clickiness" sound and feel just right as you type.

Great keyboard overall. The hand rest is a nice touch, not the most comfortable but it helps for long sessions on the keyboard. Very responsive and customizable with the logitech app. Have had no issues with it so far. Not sure if it's worth the price without being on discount since I have tried cheaper options and the only thing I really liked is the build feeling much better.

Very good keyboard. Fast, responsive, great for typing and gaming. The wrist rest is the most comfortable I've ever used and the keyboard is heavy and does not slide around while in use. Only reason I returned (exchanged) is because the GX Blue switches are very loud and I was unable to type while in Zoom calls without the other participants complaining about the loud keyboard noise.

So far so good, it works I am typing this review with it right now, the keys feel and sound good. More or less what i was looking for no real complaints. So if you are searching for a mech keyboard and came across the listings for the G513, you are probably wondering what is the difference between (this) the Carbon Version and the listing for the "Silver" version. They look the same at first glance, and the "Silver" version even comes in black(?). I am not sure how they differentiate them in the store, since Logitec has them listed on their site as being the same. I haven't been able to find anything that specifically listed the differences. My assumption is that this listing for the "Carbon" version is the previous model. This is my best guess. But it doesnt really make sense when looking at the model numbers on the listings. The model number in the listing is shown as 920-008924 (Carbon) and 920-008721 (Silver). You would think the number for the newer model would be higher The model number on the back of the keyboard I actually received is 820-008786. So looking online for more photos and doing some visual comparisons. The aesthetic differences between the Carbon and the Silver (assuming you choice the carbon black silver) is that the Carbon model doesnt have illuminated "shift" function icons on the keys, only the main function is illuminated (for example the 1 lights up, but the ! does not). Also there are some icons that are reversed from "standard" keyboards. If you look at the keys the double quote and single quotes on the keyboard are flipped. Normally (i assume from looking at all my other keyboards) the double quote is on top as you need to press shift to type it, however it is on the bottom but you still need to press shift (kind of confusing). This is the same for all the shift icons, with the exception of the number keys which the 0 thru 9 light up. This appears to have been corrected on the Silver color listing version. Along with all the icons on the keys are illuminated (both shift functions and standard function are illuminated. Hopefully this helps someone out, if I had realized this before hand I may have opted for the other version. Also keep in mind that since this has 2 usb connections needed if you want to use the included 1 USB pass-through hub, the USB cord is not replaceable, So if you want to use a shorter USB cord you are out of luck there. But the included cord is at least a nice looking braided cable. Just way longer then I need so it looks a bit sloppy.

Great keyboard. The G513 replaced my G19, and my god what a difference. I haven't had a mechanical keyboard since the late 80's lol! The keyboard also came with extra keys that are more designed for us gamers. I was hesitant to put them on at first, but once I did I loved it! They keys feel great to the finger tips. AND I almost forgot to mention it comes with an awesome palm rest. It feels great and my palms don't get sweaty from resting on it for long periods of time.
