This Roomba is well worth the money. We have used a Roomba off and on for over ten years. As newlyweds in a small apartment, its random bouncing around was more than adequate. When we moved into a three-bedroom house the older Roomba’s were ineffective. Now that we have two kids almost pre-teen and a poodle - we needed some more help. In comes the i7. We recently put in new LVP floors and while we love the look - everything shows. A crumb can be viewed from across the house/ We do sweep and mop regularly but the bulk of the stuff the Roomba takes care of and there is nothing quite like getting home from work and having clean floors. We got the i7 because of the mapping features, and the Alexa feature. The only negative thing is when the Roomba is emptying the dust bin into base, it’s a very loud suction noise for about 30 seconds. However, the base is one vacuum cleaning another vacuum.

It works well however at times can be a little louder especially when it docks once cleaning is completed. The vacuum does pick up well and is easy to set up a schedule via the app.

Recommend for pet owners. I recently purchased the iRobot, and I’m absolutely thrilled with its performance. This little robot has been a game-changer for maintaining a clean home effortlessly. The iRobot’s cleaning capabilities are impressive. It navigates around obstacles, gets under furniture, and leaves no dust or debris behind. The smart mapping technology ensures every corner of my home is covered, and it adapts to different floor types seamlessly. One of the standout features is the convenience. I can schedule cleanings through the app, so my home is spotless when I return. The ease of emptying the dustbin and the long battery life add to its practicality.

Pros: Maps the rooms perfectly Smart enough not to leave any spots uncovered Switches from carpet to hard floor seamlessly Decent battery life for covering larger areas Empties dirt into the bin effectively reducing a lot of hassle Keeps room clean when done periodically. Saves a lot of time Cons: The sweep brush at the side sometimes pushes dirt away rather than drawing it in Capable or picking up loose dirt/dust and for light carpet cleaning only, Powerful but sometimes not adequate, but unfair to compare with an upright vacuum or Dyson Not very effective to homes having pets

I can't say enough good things about the Roomba i7+. I am coming from a Roomba 980 which had some annoying thing that this robot addresses and takes it to a whole another level of convenience. I have a large 3000 sq ft downstairs and multiple dogs. When I would use the 980 I would have to utilize the beacon and plan out where I was going to use it, and had to clean the machine of dog hair each and every time, meaning I always had to plan and constantly be involved with the robot each and every time that I wanted to run it. Difference I noted between our prior Roomba are: Refuse bag - The i7 uses a bag which has to be replaced. It appeared somewhat small to me and I was afraid this would be a huge increase in cost of running the unit. This has not been the case. The first bag lasted almost 2 months of almost daily use picking up hair from our 3 dogs before the unit indicated it needed to be changed. It is a welcome way of running the vacuum, the self cleaning function works REALLY well and I found that the dirt receptacle was really emptied. Ease of use - this is an awesome improvement from my prior Roombas. I can just set it and forget it. It takes several days of running for the unit to map the floor plan. You then label your floor plan and can tweak it to designate areas that you want to be off limits without having to use the beacons. After one month of running I had to clean the rollers and machine from collected hair on the rollers and other parts, and shake out the filter. After two months I had to empty the filter bag. This is a huge change from my prior Roombas where I had to clean it out after every usage. Battery - I found that the battery in the 980 seemed to last longer, but the i7 just does it in multiple steps going back to the base to empty itself and charge before going out again. The one unit is able to cover my entire 3000 sq. ft. For me the i7 was expensive initially, but it has been a huge improvement in allowing me to run the robot much more often without only on rare occasions having to do anything with it. It is a huge improvement, and for me has been well worth the money.

If you're in the market for a reliable and intelligent robot vacuum, the Roomba i7+ in Charcoal is a solid investment that delivers on both performance and convenience.

Decided to move my Shark robot vacuum to a different floor and I bought Roomba i7+ as replacement. I also have a Dreame L10 for the same floor, which I use to wash it. So I am not new to vacuum robots. I thought I was going safe with a Roomba product, as they were the leaders when cleaning robots were designed. I was wrong. Let's start with the only one good thing of this item: very good vacuum performance, I have 2 dogs and 1 cat and I don't see any hair on the floor. Now we get to the cons, which are very annoying. 1) Extremely slow to clean large areas; 2) very loud in emptying the bin; 3) not even once I found the robot back to the base during a cleaning job: gets stuck practically everywhere (I had to create no go zones under the couch), the other robots are able to go over my stool chairs bases and my kitchen chairs (which have bars instead of feet), this one gets stuck. The last point is forcing me to use the robot when I am at home, which defies the advantage of having a robot, I would not buy again,

This Roomba is El Fantasitco! Super-A-Mundo! Excellente'! It's a modern version of the Flintstone's Mammoth-Vacuum! It looks cool and it works GREAT! I really like it. Even better, my wife likes it too. It has mapped our downstairs and can clean the whole area or just the ones you choose, Living Room. Family Room. Kitchen. Entry Way. You choose and it just does it. Nigh on flawlessly too. Oh it may get stuck on something but so far that has only happened once out of over 39 cleaning jobs (we have furry shedding pooches!). It took a few days to map the area but now it is sooo easy to use. I have not yet set up an automatic cleaning schedule but will do so soon. I cannot recommend this model enough! It really is that good. I can be at work and tell it to start cleaning and it does! How sweeeet is that! Hey! My older Roomba does that too! Sweeeeeeeeeeet! This Roomba is the bestest one yet and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it, especially so to people like myself, seasoned citizens with a slight physical handicap. It makes a clean home a clean breeze. Trust me. I know what I'm doin' when I'm reviewin'!

I think this version of the roomba is legit! I like that it moves around with a purpose. The function of mapping is pretty on point, and when rearranging your layout it does recognize that there was a change. The back and forth vacuuming is nice and a better update than it’s predecessor. It’s pretty quiet, but if you are working from home it could be a bit distracting. I have a dog that sheds his fur on the daily. It does a really good job at picking up all of it. Remember to clean the wheels and take the excess hair from the rollers often. It’ll help with suction and overall performance.

Great product. Seems todo a good job especially with animals in the house and 2 women. My old roborock s5 would get clogged all the time in the brushs with hair. This one seems to not get tangled. If there was a complaint it is that the i7 is louder than roborock i5. I did like the feature where i had the option for quiet cleaning /vacuum suction settings. This however seems like it does clean carpet a little better. Very pleased

The item was refurbished when purchased. No noticeable issues and it works great on hardwood and carpet. The only problem is when going from one type of flooring to the other, the vacuum will often get an error saying the brushes are obstructed. It's an easy fix if you just move the vacuum over a bit. It maps out the floorplan almost perfectly, I was very impressed with this. Happy with the purchase so far.

I think the Roomba's are solid, quality products. I tried the 980 and the I7. I wound up purchasing a RoboRock S5 in the end. The iRobot vacuums (both) did a really nice job cleaning and were good at navigating as well. The 980 was a bit loud and the I7+ was somewhat quieter. The self cleaning bin emptying process is nice but I don’t find it that big of a benefit. Both the 980 and I7+ tend to pick up foreign hair and debris that get tangled in the wheels and brushes. I didn’t like having to clean these after every run. When compared to the RoboRock S5 the navigation was good but a bit aggressive, meaning it would bump up against things with less agility and far less finesse than the RoboRock, but it wasn’t terrible although I noted the Roomba vacs plastic bumpers sustained a number of scratches and mars in a short time. The RoboRock really shines here. It is agile, gentle and hugs furniture legs with care while covering the entire floor. The Roomba also (neither unit) could clean my home (only 1400 sqft) with one charge like the RoboRock could. It took over 2-3 hours where the RoboRock completed the job in less than 90 minutes. The Roomba got stuck more often but could also get under more things than the RoboRock, that was nice. The Roomba dirt sensor mode is a feature that I really liked, truly a “smart” vacuum! This vacuum also cleans really well a better than the RoboRock when it comes to carpet. I really liked the I7+ but for the steep price, I did not see the value.

This is my second robot. First Roomba. Navagation The navigation and mapping leaves a little to desire. It is an overall good robot but at times will get lost and the app says its stuck but when i go to find it its three feet from base in the middle of the floor no obstructions. Not sure if the problem is the dark but most of the time its in the dark when this happens. Cleaning wise it does a very good job picking up debris dirt and dog hair. (two dog house) The self emptying is very nice. I am very happy with its cleaning. Ease of use Its very easy to use and the app is very easy to install and get the robot up and running. Overall I like the robot overall and would recommend it.

I upgraded from a Roomba 980, and it's an enormous upgrade in efficiency due to the software and hardware improvements (beside the obvious difference of having a near autonomous vacuuming solution with the clean base - more on that in a minute). With the upgraded mapping system and routine, it puts the previous flagship model to shame. The 980 wasn't bad, but it didn't save your room layout like the I7, and had to map out everything each and every single cleaning run . The mapping upgrades add a whole new level of customization to your schedules as well. After it completes 3 to 5 cleaning runs, it'll save a full map of your floor(s) and allow you to break it down into individual rooms. Have it run through the house fully in the morning and again in the afternoon in high traffic areas like the living room, or only certain rooms on certain days. The new base unit adds to its cleaning power by allowing the robot to empty itself and keep cleaning, and only needs you to intervene when a new bag is needed. Since I work 70 hours a week I'm rarely home, but with the clean base I can set my schedule and forget about it until it needs a bag. I have two dogs that shed quite a bit, which the i7 easily handles, but the bags for the base can't hold more than a week's worth of dog hair. $5 a bag adds up quick when you change it that often. That's my only issue with the unit, however I did receive an I7 with a firmware issue. It couldn't be patched until the middle to end of October is what iRobot told me when I called. The great team at iRobot quickly fixed this issue though, and they shipped me a brand new unit at no cost with no fuss. They did this for me despite the update coming within two weeks, which shows they stand behind their products and want everyone satisfied with their purchase. Other than that, the only real hang ups have been with the base unit not reading the inserted collection bag unless I take it out and put it in again. But that has only occurred twice, and since my new unit came in and updated fully this hasn't happened again. Bottom line : if you're like me and work all the time and WANT an autonomous solution with your robotic vacuum, the I7+ is the way to go hands down. If you have pets, you'll probably be better with the standard I7, unless you don't mind the reoccurring bag purchases. Highly recommended if you want the best robotic vacuuming solution out today!

Does a great job once mapping is completed. The schedule is also great and the added feature to clean a room when needed is awesome. With a couple of cats and an 8 and 5 year old, one can imagine how quickly a mess can be made!! The best part is not having to empty the collection bin. The only thing that caught me off guard is that the battery doesn’t last as long as our old one. That’s the only thing that is a somewhat negative but really isn’t a negative because when it needs charged, it goes home, charges and then goes back where it left off.

Was skeptical of using a roomba since we have a dog, however the roomba proved to be a great investment. We have it scheduled to run every other day and it cleans up the entire floor with little or no dog hair on the floor. Note that we have tiled floor with rugs in different areas. The troubleshooting on the app is very easy as well. Highly recommend roomba, especially if you have a pet. You can set a schedule and let it do it's thing. The dog was scared at first, but eventually got used to it and is unfazed.
