I Love My UGBoom it's the Best purchase I ever made. I can listen to my music by using Bluetooth on my phone. Wireless free. I could also take the speaker around the house of any room without a cord all I have to do is charge it and it's ready to boom all the house. I like how loud it is around the house. All you have to have is the internet . It's also waterproof and all. I Love My Purchase.

The battery life and sound quality are great on this unit. At top end, it gets a little muddled, but otherwise is very clear. Haven't tried using two with the same BT audio source but seems like it would work well. Water resistance is a great added feature as this sits next to the pool most days. Very durable, attractive, and functional!

I bought this speaker to take on a business trip to compre it to another speaker (Fugoo XL). I think sonically, the Fugoo XL wins. However, the flexibility of this speaker gives it some very strong points against the Fugoo XL. It's much easier to place in a corner and weighs much less than the Fugoo. It's easier to transport because it fits in a backpack a lot better and it will fit in almost any location. It has a very decent battery life and the waterproofing is amazing. I've submerged it many times to test UE's claims, and it gets top marks in this department. It supports Qualcomm quick charging which is also a huge plus because you can charge it faster, and over a USB cable. The app also adds a lot of flexibility to the experiences that beats the competition. It allows you to customize the sound and functionality of the speaker. It's a great all around speaker and it's loud enough and has enough bass for most applications. I highly recommend it.

I believe that the sound quality of the UE megaboom is significantly better than any other music device I have had. I have caught myself just getting lost in the sounds that are coming out to the equipment. The battery is insane how long it lasts. I have never had a battery for anything last as long as this does. I listen to it literally every night for over a week before needing to charge it. The distance you can be away from it before loosing connectivity via bluetooth is also impressive. I have never lost connection while in my house. My wife and I love it!

This is a great wireless speaker. It really sounds great, has enough oomph to fill an outdoor environment, and the product feels like a quality product should. No problems connecting and, although I haven't run a formal test, the battery seems to last a long time between charges (I've gone several hours over the course of 3 days by the pool). It feels right at home outdoors and on the go and love the camera tripod threads that comes with a metal ring that can be used to hang it from places like outdoor umbrellas. For a pure indoor play, I might have given the nod to the top-end Bose, but this felt more robust and is waterproof (not that I plan on testing it) at least to handle accidents and weather. I give little value to the ability to use two of these together -- sounds cool but I think few would spend that much money just for that. A little pricey, but well worth it.

This is probably the best audio purchase I have EVER made! It is everything I could ask for and more. I originally was going to choose the Bose Soundlink III because of brand loyalty, but this speaker had a better deal and it is better than I could have ever imagined! It's loud, has incredible bass, doesn't have any sound distortion, sounds rich and full and the 360 sound is amazing. It sounds great no matter where or how the speaker is positioned and at first I thought the 360 design was a weird concept but I love it. My favorite features are that it is fully waterproof, has easy to use buttons, looks beautiful, and has an aux cord jack. It's also incredibly durable so I don't feel like I need to be gentle with it. If you are thinking of getting a bluetooth speaker I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing it and trying it. I seriously doubt you'll return it.

Overall great balance of clarity and bass. Very easy to use and connects to your phone very quickly once done so via bluetooth . Waterproofing faired very well with no issues after my 1year old son brought it in the tub during bathtime. Speaker volume is quite loud without turning it up all the way. I have to say this speaker is very impressive for its size and definitely feels like a quality product. I've owned it for a year problem free. When I purchased it it was $274 and as of 1/14/17 it's listed for $235. But it is worth the money.

Wanted a good outdoor speaker to take to the lake and this fits the bill perfect! Plenty loud, long battery life, easy to transport and water proof... although I didn't drop it in the water to find out. Very happy with this speaker!

I had the Boom II already and wanted another speaker to pair with when I have company over. I bought the Mega Boom because it was more than 50% off and wanted a bigger speaker. This one works perfect for me. I can pair the 2 and create a “Party” with the software you download and can have people on the patio or in the back of my unit and the music can be heard throughout. Even at a higher volume level, the speaker doesn’t sound any different like some other speakers do. With this software, you can have your friends play their music as well when the pair up to the speakers too. It’s like having multiple DJs in the house if you have that multiple people connected. I would highly recommend this product.

I purchased this speaker after having purchased the Beats XL and returning it because of a recall. The Mega Boom is easier to carry around and comes with a cool case. It sounds great also. This speaker is mainly used for church vocal rehearsals and the 360 degree listening is a huge plus for that. We can all gather around in a circle and sing our warm-ups with the speaker in the middle. The charger cable was hard for me to find. It's in a hidden compartment in the case. I have not used it by the water, but the waterproof feature would be cool for by-the-pool use. So far, I am very happy with this purchase.

Perfect for taking along on car to campsite trips, tailgating at soccer matches, and outside working on maintenance projects on the house. Not lightweight for weight conscious long backpacking excursions. Decent robust bass sound for those seeking better than average sound from a list of wireless speaker options in today's market place. Long lasting charge on battery (20 hours). It has been a worry-free weather speaker in many types of weather conditions so far that have included monsoon-like rain conditions. Can't wait to use in the snow on the mountain when taking a lunch break from skiing.

I've had plenty of Bluetooth speakers over the years that I use at home,but mostly on my construction jobs.For the size,this so far is the loudest one,with a very good sound when it also comes to base.It's also waterproof, so I don't have to worry when I'm constantly outside.It doesn't have a mic,like most of my other speakers had,but never the less,it's a great buy,and I would recommend it to others.Btw,they just came out with the newest model,the Megablast,that claims 40% louder ,and has Amazon Alexa built in (So here is the mic now).It's a little thicker and higher than the Megaboom.But I'll stick with mine for now,'cause if it ain't broke,don't fix it,right?

If you want a tough and easily portable bluetooth speaker that has solid sound quality, give the UE MEGABOOM a try. It puts out a lot of sound for its size and has good battery life. I think it sounds the best when you put it up high in the corner of a room. So far I have been a fan of UE's products and the MEGABOOM is no exception.

I listened to all of the competition before making my purchase. Although this unit did cost more than the others the range, quality, volume and battery life were superior. I would purchase this again.

I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the MegaBoom. After comparing many speakers, I finally decided to go with this gem. My roommate has the Bose $300 speaker, which has excellent sound, but doesn't have a few features that I love about the UE. I was drawn by the large battery life, waterproof feature, dual speaker pairing (if I decide to buy another), great sound, and app. The battery has proved to be a beast. The Sound is fantastic. The battery really does last, The app has become my new alarm, and I have no problems waking up now thanks to volume control for any song. It is also very compact and has 360 degree sound. Trust me, this is the speaker to own.

Bought this speaker for my wife. She wanted a speaker that had both Bluetooth and Aux inputs. Also needed to be waterproof to use it out on the dock at the lake. This Speaker meets those requirements. Sound quality is very good with plenty of low end, which is what competitive speakers in the same price range seem to be missing. Speaker can play very loud without distorting. Battery life is also excellent...several hours.

Excellent sound quality, from the lowest to the highest range, clean, clear, accurate (is that a guitar or a piano?) and impressive bass. As good as it gets for the price, which, though a little pricey, sounds so good it's still a good value. Did I mention that it's waterproof? or has a 50-100' range? or the battery life is about 15-20 hours? 360 degree sound pattern means no dead spots in room. Great speaker!

I use this speaker almost every day and it sounds amazing and the portability is unmatched. Along with the Water resistance and great battery life this speaker is the complete package.

My husband recently purchased this speaker. I have the Beats Pill 2.0. It's true the UE is priced slightly higher at $299 v Beats $199, but the improvement in sound is disproportionate to the increase in price. For what you get, the cost should be double or triple that Beats Pill. The UE is amazing. The bass is like nothing I've ever heard from a portable speaker. The Bluetooth setup is a breeze - got it on first try. It comes with a nice hard protective shell case. This will be my next electronic purchase. I'm holding out for a special edition pink colored promo!! Then we'll test out the joining feature of the speakers.
