I love technology, especially anything dealing with music. I'm a true audiophile. These are crisp and clear, nice deep bass after adjusting the EQ in the accompanying app. It gives you a 5 band EQ to adjust to get what fits your genre of music. Also gives you presets if you listen to multiple types of music like myself. The app is a breeze to manipulate and control. Pairing was a simple process. These Jaybirds do not disappoint by any means. I use them out and about and around the house. The battery life for me was pretty close to what the manufacturer quoted of about 6 hours on a full charge. They also have a quick charge that gives you about an hour of play after only a 10 minute charge. I enjoy this because my HTC10 has a type C charge that does quick charge as well. So when you're totally jammed out and kill both, 10 minutes and you're back in the game haha. They're extremely comfortable, you hardly notice them. Made of a soft silicone gel. They state sweat and waterproof. I'm not a profuse sweater and haven't put these in water but I'll take their word for it. They come with 3 different size ear pieces small medium and large or as they call it .. 1, 2, and 3. They are a snug fit and as any ear bud you need to place them firmly to seal to get the best deep bass. .Also included is a small charge adapter. Cons- It'd have been nice if it just have a normal charge slot so you could use any charger to charge but instead you have to have the manufacturers adapter to charge which is very small and easy to misplace unless you get some sort of case for both it and your earbuds

    I hate these things

To be honest, I've never been a big fan of ear buds. To me the sacrifice you make in sound quality is never outweighed by the small size. On ear headphones always sound much better. But wearing big headphones isn't very practical for the gym, (which is where I do most of my headphone listening). I decided to give these as a shot mostly due to the reputation that Jaybird has for quality. The headphones certainly look good. The box that they come in definitely gives a feeling of quality and the color of the headphones themselves is visually striking. Included in the box are 3 different sizes of ear inserts. I tried both the #2 (middle size) and the #1 (small size) inserts. I guess I must have odd sized ears because I found the #2's a bit too big and the #1's a bit too small. I even tried using a #2 on my right ear and a #1 on my left ear but nothing seemed to fit me perfectly. Unfortunately the #1 was too small and wanted to come out of my ear but the #1 was a little big. To get good bass response out of these headphones you have to get the inserts deep into your ear to form a seal. But I found that I constantly had to readjust my headphones to keep them sounding good. The EQ that is included with the app is a nice touch but I found it to be a bit clunky to use. When you adjust one part of the range, (lows, mids or highs) it will often affect the other ranges next to it. I would prefer just a simple slider at different frequencies. Also I use my Samsung Gear for listening to music at the gym, not my phone. I don't want to have to carry my phone around when I'm working out. So I don't even know if the settings I set up in the app apply to my Gear. But the real deal breaker for me is the design of the headphones themselves. The volume controller on the right side tends to pull the right cable down all the time so that the cable won't sit evenly across the back of your neck. What I ended up doing to combat this was making the rubber cable fairly tight against the back of my neck so that the controller stayed on my neck and didn't slide around. The problem with this is that when I get sweaty the rubber cable will stick to the back of my neck and every time I turn my head to the side it will have a tendency to pull the buds out of my ears. Also I can't get to the volume controls this way as the controller is on the back of my head. Further complicating things is that when I would feel around for the controller to adjust the volume it would invariably pull the right bud out of my ear so I would have to readjust it. The design of these headphones it totally impractical for the purpose to which they were designed for. If I have to constantly be thinking about and adjusting my headphones then I don't want to wear them. I want to just put my headphones on and forget about them. I would think that running in these headphones would be even worse. I'm giving these 2 stars. 1 star because I think the design is horrible with another star added because they actually sound pretty good for an ear bud. I have attached a pic of the headphones I usually wear at the gym. I think these ones have a much better design. They have a hard "wire" that holds the headphones in place so they don't move around and they are a decent size so that they give solid bass response.

I’ve had these for about a day or so and have been using them to work out and when I’m just running around. The good, they are extremely comfortable. I mean right out of the box, the fit in my ears and have a snug fit. They came about 55% charged, which will probably vary depending on how long they’ve sat before they shipped. The neck strap was long enough to fit around my head and allowed a good range of motion and still didn’t fall out. The bad, the sound quality is not that great. They sound very “tinny” and forget about any bass response at all. These are treble filled earbuds. I played around with the settings after downloading the app and although they sounded better, they were still less than ideal for my music preferences. The app has a lot of presets that you can save for use as your sound equalizer, but even with that, I was disappointed. This is my second pair of JayBird earphones and honestly, the X2’s are a much better pair. Granted the price points are different, but I would honestly rather pay more for a quality pair of earbuds than to have something with far less sound quality. The other negative about these earbuds for me is the charging cable. To charge these you have to sit them in a seat on the cable and plug the cable up to a USB port. For me it’s just one more thing to carry and potentially lose. Once you lose the cable, you can’t charge these anymore. I think this is a poor way to charge any set of headphones. I would rather have just gotten a micro usb cable and called it a day. Overall, I’m not terribly impressed with these headphones and would not recommend them.

I use these primarily as workout headphones. Pros: - They fit snug and don't slip or fall out. - They have good sound quality. - The volume control toggle is convenient. - They charge pretty quickly. If I forget to charge them, I have plugged them in on the way to the gym and that's enough to get me through an hour long workout. - They also work well as ear protection when running the lawn equipment in the summer. - They are priced well. Cons: - The charger hook up is proprietary, so if you misplace it, you're out of luck and can't use cables from other devices. - There is no "hear through" option that allows you to hear surrounding noises. This could be a drawback if running outside and you need to hear traffic through your music.

This is my first wireless headphone in a long time, I've been avoiding wireless headphones because of my bad experiences in the past. The sound quality, ease of use, comfort, and battery life of Tarah easily exceeded my expectations. The problem i have is when i run with Tarah i can hear my steps, bouncing sound with every step i take. I read it with other reviewers as well. They suggest trying different sizes of earbuds. I did that but unfortunately I can hear bouncing sound with all three sizes. Because of this problem for me this is a two or three star product, but I understand people have different ear channels and the product might work better for others, that's why I am giving it a four star.

They are great for running. The fit is very secure. The sound is amazing as with all Jaybird headphones. The price is great for a high quality sport headphone. The only things I do not care for on the headphones is there is not a way to wear them casually. I can't wear the secure fit very long. It would be nice if you could wear them as earbuds without the piece that goes in to the ear canal. I also do not care for the charger plug, especially if they are not going to give a carry case. You have to keep up with this charger and it could have been micro usb or type c. Overall they are are great.

I've been using these headphones for about 1 month. Very comfortable and secure on all runs up to 10 miles so far. I use them 4-5 times per week for about a total of 8 hours and charge them twice per week. When I'm walking near buildings with my hands at my sides the headphones get quite every once in a while. As soon as I start to run I never have any problem with consistent connection. Taking phone calls are fine unless you are outdoors in the wind, then the other person has a hard time hearing you.

So far really impressed with the quality of headphone. Bought these as a backup pair. Been grabbing them more consistently during these hot summer days. Decent balanced sound. Not a ton of bass but lots of choices to fine tune listening experience with Jaybird app. Very comfortable in ear with lots of fittings for your ear to choose from. Battery life is pretty good. It has a unique charging system so don't lose the dongle. Keep it safe.

Like the sound of the earbuds. The battery life is good too. The different size earbuds were useful to find a size that fit my ears. Does a decent job of blocking out noise. (Not Active Noise Cancelling). I don't like the custom charging adapter. You can't plug the USB cord directly into the earbuds, you have to use their custom adapter.

After buying a new phone without a headphone jack, I needed a wireless headset of some type. There are lots to choose from from earphones to ear buds, from pretentious to plain. I went with Jaybird from a past experience with them. The Tarah are affordable, not pretentious and have good sound. This is adjustable with an app. I found the default ear piece comfortable for me but there are other sizes included. Charging was fast and battery life acceptable.

I was looking for some water proof earbuds to wear while I exercised and the reviews in PC Magazine and CNET both praised this product. I agree with their assessments. I didn't think earbuds would have a decent full-bodied sound but these do. Connecting to my Bluetooth device was simple. The control on the cord can be a bit awkward to use but after getting use to it I've had no problems. There is an app that displays battery life and updates the firmware. There is also music available geared towards different types of workouts. Highly recommend these earbuds.

Pretty solid fit, although it does bounce around a bit while running on the treadmill it never falls out. So far for me, battery seems to get 5+ hours but not 6 hours completely. The sound quality is good, but not amazing. The JayBird app is really cool though to suit your tastes.

Not bad for the price. Black Friday had a better deal on these then what I paid. Full retail would of not been worth it for them. Battery is decent and sound quality is pretty good. They don’t fall out of my ear when doing any physical activity so not bad.

I bought these with some good recommendations from coworkers. I like the fit of the earbuds. The fins are nice and flexible enough to allow movement for a really good fit in the ear, but firm enough to keep them in the ears. The cups are soft and snug in the ear canal. The sound is very good. I am able to hear a very good range of sound. There is a limit on how strong the bass can punch, as it does distort when the volume increases. Luckily for me, I tend to not have the volume that high. Battery life is good. I like when I power up the earbuds and I am told how much battery is left prior to start. I also like when I was notified when the battery was at 15% capacity, and not remind me every minute that the battery was low. The extra that is nice is the app that you download. There is so much that the app offers that it is overwhelming. I have to spend some time navigating the app to provide a better critique of the app, but I found a preset that I liked and was able to modify it slightly to optimize it for what I listen to. A very good product.

I use these headphones for cycling and other sports activities. They have held up well to getting wet, and also covered with lots of sweat. I can't say much for the sound quality, but their overall functionality has been good. They are also comfortable in the ears even for several hours at a time. I can't confirm the battery life, but I have easily gone up to 5 hours of continuous use on one charge. The only issue has been after about a year of use, the charging gives me issues. I believe it is due to the build up of grime in the connections. I've tried cleaning it out, but it still gets fussy.

The headphones are good and I can't hear the lawn mower even though it says they aren't noise cancelling. I got them on sale for a great price I have used them several times over the past 3 weeks and it is still at 60%. The jaybird equalizer let's you put the sound how you like. These are a good fit and with the clip I can clip it to my shirt or back of my hat so it's not touching my neck. When they go on sale I will buy another pair.

These have a good Bluetooth range and doesn’t drop connection like their old model and the battery is better. If you’re looking for gray sound and gray base these aren’t for you, maybe try some Bose ($200+) but if you’re like me and just need something loud and sounds decent on a run or in the gym these are great. I hate the fact that hey have proprietary chargers so if you lose it like I did you have to go online and buy a replacement charger or new headphones. It would be best if they used a micro usb burger or similar. But otherwise good headphones and also very comfortable and light weight, the ear tips never fall out during a run. Definite pro for me

Most in ear headphones don't stay in my ears at all, unless they hook over my ear. But these do stay really well. The sound is really good for the price and I'm pretty happy over all. One down side is they sometimes won't connect back to my laptop or phone after a call comes in. I'll have to reset them. Overall a good value.
