Long lasting and well designed earbuds

I've been using wireless headphones, etc, (and many different kinds) for years. The price on these Jaybirds are very reasonable, especially given these features: 1) battery life is amazing (e.g. only 20% battery drain after using it for 3 hours straight), 2) ergonomic earbuds in 2 sizes that fit comfortably even through intense sweating, 3) well designed and located controls that are easy to use, 4) earbuds with magnetic backs that connect when not in use to prevent loss. Weight on the Jaybirds are also good, just enough to let the user know they are there.
Only con so far (after 2 months of use in various conditions) is that the Jaybirds just randomly disconnected from my phone. Apparently this is a known problem and can be fixed by reconnecting the earbuds to the charger. After I did so, haven't experienced that issue again.

Great sound, great bass, outstanding battery, sweet app for the equilizer, VERY comfortable, didnt have to swap fittings and easy connection to iOS. LOVE the carrying case! Charger is interesting.
Here we go, intermittent connection on mojave, NEED to use “jaybird media player on Windows 10” vs pair and connect.
OS compatibility is the achilles heel and my pet peeve in this case. (I dug deep and found a forum that was updated a few days ago.)

Works well under motorcycle helmet

I wanted a way to listen to music while blocking some road/wind noise on my motorcycle. Originally bought a Cardo but wasn't satisfied with how loud I had to turn up the unit and the lack of noise protection. I returned the Cardo and had tried several other products unsuccessfully. True wireless earplugs wouldn't stay in my ears while putting on my helmet and I was concerned about them dropping out. Many other brands are too big to fit under my helmet. The Tarah Pro stayed in my ears well and the cord reduces my worry about loss while riding. The sound is good and offers some noise protection. I do have to remove the ear padding in my Shoei and the control unit isn't super easy to use with gloves but the package works well overall. Also, I bought them on sale so a great value.

Had previously taken the plunge, buying more expensive work-out headphones than past cheaper types when I bought a pair of Bose which I did like and enjoy. At the time I purchased them was choosing between Bose and Jaybird. After about a year I accidentally dropped my Bose in parking lot and when found they were damaged beyond repair. So decided to try jaybird Tarah Pro which was my first time for wireless headphones. Research I'd done proved to be accurate...the Jaybird fits tighter in the ear and lets less outside noise in...which works better in the gym. Bose doesn't have that tight fit and lets some outside noise in which is safer if running outside. Both have their pros and cons. It's nice not to have the wires...only irritation to me is every now and then have difficulty pairing with my Ipod. Other than that, really like these.

Love Jay Bird products and figured this would be the end all be all of wireless earbuds. Great sound and incredible battery life. Where they fall short is comfort compared to the X4 and all other Jay Bird headphones. But where they really fell short is not having the ability to multipoint where the step below X4 has the ability. Multipoint allows you to connect to two Bluetooth devices at the same time and automatically switches over.

Tarah Pro - Good sound, need more fitting sizes

Tarah Pro is a very good pair of sports earbuds. It's got good sound, app and battery.
Only two complaints
1. It would be great to have a larger selection of fittings, not just the three sizes. For the right earbud, the fitting is not great even after adjusting and testing with all three. However, after changing to the over the ear configuration, the right side finally feels snug. I wish there are more choices than the three sizes included so that I don't always need to use the over the ear configuration to have right earbud secure.
2. While using the over the ear configuration and receiving incoming call, the caller told me that my voice was not clear and there were a lot of noise picked up from the background, or just the way the wires were hanging. Not sure which, but I didn't have anyone complain about having trouble hearing me when I was not using the over the ear configuration. Unfortunately as mentioned in 1, I had to use the over the ear configuration to have it form a good seal and fit during runs.
Overall, a good pair of ear buds for running. Wish they have more selection of fittings and have my voice not interfered when using the over the ear configuration.

I feel like I've tried them all. Every type of ear fit imaginable. Then these came along and I found my headphones!!!
Good quality, solid build, and they stay in my ears when I run! That's saying something too, because I'm not exactly an elegant runner. I pretty much pound the pavement. I've never had these fall out or need to be adjusted.
Bluetooth connection is simple and the battery power is AMAZING. I feel like I rarely have to charge these, which is good, because the charging cable is...well...lame. It's really the only thing I don't like, but it won't take away from my 5-star review. The cord is woefully short. I think the charging cord is about 3" long. Other than that, this is an easy recommendation.

I am always looking for a good pair of headphones and the Jaybird Tarah Pro’s are one of my favorites. These in-ear headphones have a number of great perks that keep me reaching for them. Below you will find a number of positives and a few of the negatives for the Tarah Pro’s
Positives:
+ Perhaps the most important factor is sound. I don’t know if this is technically true, but for whatever reason, they just sound better than all of the other Jaybird headphones I have tried. I simply love the sound I can get from the Tarah Pros.
+ Jaybird provides a great app that can be used for a number of their headphones. This app allows the user to make sound profile changes to the headphones either manually or by selecting from previously created presets.
+ A braided cable makes these Jaybird ’s feel like a more high-quality device, especially when compared to the companies other headphones (X3’s and X4’s).
+ Magnet earbuds are a nice touch that will automatically pause the music. This feature also makes the headphones feel more secure when wrapped around the neck. I personally like to put the headphones together using the magnet feature when I store them in their pouch.
+ These headphones have what Jaybird calls SwitchFit. Basically, this allows the Tarah Pro earbuds to be rotated, making it easy to let the user switch between under the ear or the over the ear wearing positions. I personally have found the over the ear position to be more secure especially when exercising.
+ One of my personal favorite features is that the volume down control feels like a minus and the volume up button feels like a plus on the headphones controller. This seemingly small feature makes it much easier to use the controls by touch.
+ There are a number of accessories that come in the box, including a simple carrying pouch, a magnetic charging cradle, and three different sized ear gels (to help achieve the ideal fit).
Negatives:
- The controller is fairly large and can cause the headphones to feel unbalanced when they are being worn. While this is negative, the Tarah Pro’s controller doesn’t feel as large when compared to other Jaybird models.
- I have never liked Jaybird’s proprietary charging system. While I don’t like the proprietary system, I do like that the charging cradle is magnetic which makes it easier to attach/detach when needed. I just hope I don’t lose the charger because I really don’t want to order a new one from the company.
- These headphones do not come with foam ear tips, some users may want foam ear tips for a better fit.
In looking over my review, I have a lot more positives than negatives. The funny thing is I only mentioned a few of the headphones positives. I would definitely recommend these headphones as they have great sound, convenient features/accessories, and Jaybird has taken the time to do the big things and the little things extremely well.

The buds provide a long lasting charge of 14 hrs. The sound is great & and you can adjust it with the app. I’ve taken showers with the buds & an it sustained the test. The ear plastic removal parts are the feature you have to adjust too. There are 3 sizes that still is not for everyone. As you sweat continue to feel around for the buds in case it falls because you can lose them. The noise reduction is pretty good on the buds. There chance on it malfunctioning at times so have the 2 year warranty purchased.
Overall it’s a bit pricey but less expensive than the beats pro & it has longer use then the Bose products but I would wait for the pop up deals to buy this product. Again purchase the &40 dollar warranty quick.

The sound is nice, and the earbuds are nearly as comfortable as the Bose headphones. However, they are just a bit stiffer, though comfort tends to be subjective. The real flaw is the charger. It has a custom charging cradle, which means, if you forget the charger, or lose it, you will not be able to recharge the headphones.

Love these headphones, use them every day. Small enough to fall asleep with them in and not notice. Good connection and sound quality. Has an app to go with it but it is not required. I have the app on my phone and can setup the EQ, and it stays setup how I like it when connecting it to other devices.
Cable does have a lot of 'memory' to it, if left in the same position it will favor that position. Ear pieces rotate, so you can wear it down and loose, or over the ear and cinch up the cable so it stays in place when moving around.

I previously had PowerBeats 3 and was pretty happy with them overall, but they constantly needes to be messed with (pushed back in, adjusted, ect..). So I switched to the Sony XB NC over the ear headphones which are also definitely worth the money, but long story short they're not always practical when working out especially when it's hot. Since my wife took over my PowerBeats I decided to try something different and I am super happy with the Tarah Pro's...I've now won them almost 3 full days with 2 of them being lifting sessions at the gym and I haven't had to touch them once I put them in. They also have excellent sound quality and the passive noise canceling works great due to how well they fit. Would recommend and buy again for sure.

When wearing the Jaybirds and exercising they fell out often because of the way they are placed in the ear. Background noise was not cancelled as well because of the loose fit. Sound quality good. Battery life good. Moisture and perspiration made the ear pieces fall out easier. Not for the person who is very active unless they have a different method of securing them to the ear.

Let me first tell you that the customer support for the company is awesome! Lost my charger (proprietary which is my only complaint), but they got me a new one free of charge. The battery life is great on these and the sound quality is good too. The ear buds are easy to adjust but they can move around a little. My wife complains that my mic picks up too much sound around me but that doesn't affect my experience. You can easily wear just one ear bud in and still talk and move around. The magnetic buds that hook together to wear has a necklace comes in handy but they can come lose so be careful not to loss them. Overall, great product. I would by them again just because of the costumer support.

I have had these for about a month now and here are my observations. What I like: battery life, sound quality, ability to have personalized EQ Dislikes: the connectivity is really finicky and in my opinion very worthless. I have to disconnect from one device to connect to another. I have to unpair and repair when the device has been shut down. Multiple occasions I have mess around/reconnect when listening to music while trying to pick up a phone call. Very frustrating and I’m consider returning these for some other product. Also the fit in my ear needs to be adjusted just right so the sound is spacial, meaning the ear piece compresses too much and then the sound is compressed. I really want these to work but they should make the on/off button a simple click to easily transition from one paired device to the next without having to repair or mess around with settings.

I’ve owned every name brand pair of headphones, wired and wireless and these are in the top three!! The sound is excellent. I don’t usually mess with EQs or sound enhancing gimmicks but in this case it’s amazing and works! The bass is unreal. It rivals headphones over $400. Add all the other perks of this amazing product and it’s just the best. The case, charging, the cord, the fit in the ear, waterproof, packaging...all stellar. I will never buy Bose again or the other big names. Love these! Barely have heard of this company but now I’m a customer for life.
