For PS4 and kind of PC

I mostly got this controller for my PC and then I figured I could use it for my PS4 as well. It works great on my PS4 and if you are getting it for that I would say go for it, although you cant turn it on with the PS button just a heads up. So the build quality is really really good. It feels really heavy and high quality. I love that the buttons are built into the sides of the grips and its very easy to program. Like everything physically with the controller is amazing. Its more of the software side of things I have issues with. This controller does work with PC but only if the launcher your using like steam integrates with a PS4 controller. I understand that this isn't necessarily Astros fault however they are saying it is for PC when it is only for PC if the software you are using supports it. Also when you use it wirelessly sometimes the game won't recognize it even if that game does support it. You have to close and open the Astro app and the game to get it to work again. Wired mode works perfectly except for the software that doesn't support dualshock. The other thing I want to mention is that the sticks are very loose. There is almost no tension which is easier on your fingers I guess but bad if you need to be precise. You can Kinda alter this in the software which allows you to adjust sensitivity of the controls but it doesn't fix the loose feeling of it. Maybe some people would like this but I'm not into that at all. ITs very good quality. If you just have a ps4 and want a premium controller like the Elite then this is the controller to get. If you have a PC I would just wait until the new elite comes out or get the Razer wolverine ultimate if you don't mind a corded only controller.

The Best Paddle Controller

So, this is expensive no doubt but when you go to scuf or beavers websites to make a controller the price is the same or more.
Every single button is programmable to any button and its amazing. Easily plug it into your Mac or PC and it will allow you to download the software to program sensitivities like triggers and joysticks, or change any button. (I have x as downward for Fortnite, and the back paddles as x and o)
This allows much much quicker building and more importantly editing. Now, here is the change, you can hold it regularly, I now a variation of claw with this controller as I have very long fingers, good size hands, this controller is a PERFECT size and weight. It is bigger and heavier than the DS4 and scuff infinity 4ps, allow me to use claw without it being too crowded. The texture is amazing and almost rubberized, each button clicks very well, you can also push the button on the back to reprogram any button so you don't HAVE To plug it in, but it is very easy to do. Also the USB is particular and won't break because if it, it is fitted. It has been almost 3 weeks and I'm not entirely used to it, but I am definitely better because of this and the adjustments I've made. The latency is virtually 0 because it has a USB dongle or direct plug in. Amazing. I'm a fairly competitive gamer using this in a PS4 pro but will be using it on PC shortly. Absolutely worth the money, I can't go back to any other controller now lol.

This is by far the best 3rd party controller that feels great with the added options. With this controller you can not turn on your PS4 console and it does not give you a battery reading on the screen And the price tag is expensive is why i give it a 4 out of 5 Stars. Outstanding controller if you like FPS you will LOVE this controller especially with the Offset option highly recommend if you like an Xbox style controller set up and the added software/configuration downloadable content to customize your controller on your Mac/PC.

This controller feels great, plays great, and has the highest quality of any controller I have used. Even after the recent discount it still overpriced though. If you're going to be on a PS4 for a while then this would be a great replacement for failing DualShock controllers. Otherwise I would wait for the PS5 versions of the DualShock or Astros addition.

Pros: The controller is comfortable and fully customizable with a laptop or computer. Made up of good solid materials.
Cons: This controller should be able to do everything a PS4 dual shock can do and more. Does not have a true wireless mode for PS4. You have to have it plugged in directly or with a bluetooth usb. If you have this controller and a headset plugged in you will need to find an outlet for charging.
I have gotten extremely bad stick drag and I have tried everything to fix it. I have reset the controller and take apart and clean the inside of the controller. Nothing has worked and it is essentially useless to me now. I will stick with the dual shock.

Bought this to use on PC. Overall quality seemed good, the modular sticks/D-Pads were well implemented. I usually use an Xbox Elite controller so I figured I would give this a try. After a few hours of use I found the controller to be a little clunky feeling and heavy. I’m sure some of this could be resolved with time, however I opted to return it. Overall nice build quality and easy pairing with the PC. Just not a great fit if your currently using an Xbox controller.

Good controller, could use some improvements for the price. I experienced random disconnecting and drifting issues. Maybe they are better now with newer firmware and hardware, but I found my experience to be just "ok" and it should be a lot better than that for the price of these. It felt really great in my hands though so they're onto something if they can just work out all the flaws.

This controller has excellent build quality however i had to take a star away for a couple reasons.
1. If you’re going to use this with the ps4 you have to use the included USB wireless stick in order to use it wirelessly unlike a regular ps4 controller.
2. The PC software is pretty mediocre at the moment and for some reason doesn’t play nice with corsair cue. (It causes the program to lock up) It seems to work fine if i close out cue completely before opening it.

I love this controller is super comfortable, is definitely worth it. What I would really like is if they could get rid of the usb stick for connecting to the ps4 and just use it with the computer. The battery last very long and it comes with a really nice hard case for carrying.

Best controller for PS4/PC Gaming hands down. Great feel, conveniently adjustable through the app just plug into Mac or pc and bam. Cool customizable face plates and analog sticks too. Controller was sold out everywhere even on the Astro gaming website but Best Buy came through.

This controller is a must have!! I was skeptical at first, with a price tag like it has. After gaming with it, I would pay double for this item. Well made, easy to configure and feels amazing in the hands!! Must buy if you’re thinking about it, think no more!!

Had my doubts about spending $200 on a controller, but now that I’ve had it for a little over 2 weeks and can never go back to a regular PS4 controller they feel so light and flimsy compared to this... Most people may buy a scuff or Razer Riju but this exceeds both of those hands down.

Controller is amazing, buttons are responsive and mapping is super easy. The added customizable options are nice too. Now, the biggest problem is that it cannot turn on the PlayStation remotely, AND you cannot see the battery life of the controller. This has led to my controller dying mid game. Not really a huge issue, just a small annoyance in an otherwise great product.

This is by far the best controller I have and I have a scuff, a custom ps4 controller with back buttons, and a Nacon revolution v3. I have had it for a little over a year and the back buttons are starting to get a little worn out which kind of sucks but I have done so many slide cancels on modern warfare it's kind of to be expected. The scuff lasted 2 months before paddles broke, the nacon just had some quirky things and I quickly returned it and the custom controller just doesn't feel as good as this c40. I have it in the Xbox config and it's hard to go back to a reg controller after using this for so long. Idk if best buy will ever carry these again but if they do and you find one do yourself a favor and buy it. I am now using it on PC and love it aswell. The software is also super easy to use and ultra customizable.

I've had several scufs over the years and they always break down over time in one way or another. Not to mention scuf and the other brands are just frankenstein ps4 controllers. This thing is custom made, amazing quality and is holding up way better than anything else I've owned.
