This controller has it all, solid build quality, swappable analog stick, programmable buttons, quick triggers, and rear buttons. Great for Warzone!! I have the reload button programed to one of the back buttons to help keep my thumbs on the sticks.

This controller is top notch. I just love the feel of it. Being able to customize the layout how I really want it just makes this an A+ purchase. After buying this and owning the scuff vantage I will never look back. Astro c40 is the way to go

Stick drift is the weakness of this controller.it is a big problem when you only get six months of warranty... the quality is okay. back buttons feel natural. You can offset the controller if you want that Xbox style. Battery seems okay.

I am an avid game player and have been wanting to get a gaming controller for quite some time! An after some research I decided to go with this controller. It takes some getting use to but once you use this controller for a while you will never go back to a regular controller! This controller is wider and feels good to hold. It has a rubber coating around it that gives you grip even when your hands are sweating. The bottom triggers take some to get use to but once you do and you dont have to move your thumb from the right stick its gives you that edge against your opponent. The short throw on the triggers with a flip of a switch makes aiming and rattling off semi auto rounds so quick! Playing fortnite I can pull the triggers twice as fast as the pistol can shoot. I find myself going at half speed to keep from wasting my time pulling the triggers to fast.

For it being a $200 controller, I should be able to literally reconfigure everything from the controller and I can do just that up until the main buttons of X, O, Square and Triangle. But, nonetheless, great controller and I really like the fact that it comes with a charging cable as well as some extra accessories. The case for it is also really sturdy and a great build overall.

Ok so.. yeah it’s expensive… but it’s so easy to use and map the paddles and I tell ya what PlayStation and Xbox should just break down and make their controller with paddles on the back. It’s a little big and your hands will tell ya that after some use but you get over it.

great idea for anybody looking to play any type of PC games that require a controller. With the exception of Microsoft's Xbox controller, most controllers have to be utilized with a dongle that you can purchase second hand. this wireless controller comes with its own dongle and its own software. unfortunately you're not able to map the keys with the software provided. Besides the mapping issue the controller has long battery life, a great modular system which allows you to have a Xbox configuration or PlayStation configuration and fits very well in your hand. there is a trigger backstop that allows you to have quicker trigger actions. If you want the best controller from a third party then this is it. If you prefer an Xbox controller then purchase that. If you like PS4 this is for you. If 200$ is to expensive you can find 20$ dongals to work with any Bluetooth controller (PS4)

Yes it’s a steep price but if you have the means, this is the best PS4 controller available (sorry SCUF). It feels heavier in the hands and more durable than the standard controller. It’s still early but I’m happy with the purchase.

This is an excellent controller. Honestly one of the best pro controllers I own for my PS4. It really only has three issues and honestly, only one really bothered me. First, the control is solid, responsive and the thumb sticks feel great. It features a profile switch and has a wired/wireless switch also. Good battery and charges quick. Now for the issues, it cannot turn on your PS4...not a big deal but still - maybe in an update somehow. It also only has two back paddles. Most have four so I thought this was a little sad but again, can deal with it. My only real issue that still bothers me is it doesn’t directly Bluetooth connect. You have to use a USB dongle to sync and use the controller. It’s also difficult to pair if it ever loses sync. So if you are a PS4 owner...get a USB hub. Still, definitely get this control. Excellent purchase and I love it.

Pros: The controller is sturdy, customizable, and configurable. It is quality construction and feels good in your hand. Easy to change out the parts. Cons: Price. Though it is not cheap, it's worth noting that it is not cheaply made either.

At first I wasn’t too sure if I should buy this controller being as I had the new scuf vantage so I went for it anyway and it was the best decision I could’ve made. This controller is very sturdy and the soft grip feels really great nothing like how the scuf feels all buttons feel like actual buttons and not levers you really don’t need more than two buttons on the back the scuf has 4 paddles but I took off two and only used two anyway. I love that you can buy the swappable modules apart but the way it looks and feels that won’t happen anytime soon. Great controller I recommend it for anyone looking to use anything other than the original dual shock. Also the software you use to adjust the controller is really simple and easy to use to adjust anything you want on the controller I got rid of the scuf and do not regret it at all.

Finally, a PS4 controller worth owning

I've been waiting for a controller for my PS4 for years. When the Xbox Elite Controller came out, I had hoped Sony would follow. Razer tried, Scuf tried, Nacon tried, many others too. I've spent about $1200 on controllers in hopes of finding one to last 3+ hours of game play. Biggest issue for me, like everyone else, is the inability to turn on your console with the PS button. Controller has weight to it and the adjustable layout is genius. The triggers feel cheap to me, not matching the feel of the other buttons. Response time is good wireless, tried it on SFV, Uncharted series, BLOPS4, Red Dead, NBA 2k19, and WWE 2k19. Programming is easy and can be done at any time. The inclusion of 2 extra analog stick thumb pad sets, a good quality case, and a sturdy USB cable only sweeten the deal. $200 is a steep price to pay but after ps2, I've never really liked the feel of the Sony brand controllers but they're the best all around until now. I doubt this will improve my game but its comfortable and the layout and thumb stick offset height make it well worth it for me. There are a ton of options and programmable features, read up on them and make your decision. If they fix the PS button power on issue, this gets 5 stars from me!

Once you get it tweaked and working to your liking it’s probably the best controller you’ll have, the feel and the quality of it is what makes it such a great controller. Plus being able to customize it whenever is awesome.

I got this controller for my husband and he liked it a lot. One downside is that the tiny screws have to be unscrewed and screwed back anytime we want to change the layout. It’s also pretty light, it would’ve been nice if it included some optional weights. Overall it’s a decent controller for the price, it is comfortable to use.

This is a solid controller with exceptional build quality and feels great in your hands. HOWEVER, I am writing this review after a month of use and I am already having to call the company because of issues with the left stick. I already am experiencing stick drift and a non responsive L3 click. I play fps games where the left stick click is essential so the issues I have had leave it unusable. I thought I was investing in a controller to last me a few years but realized I have wasted my money. It can't be returned and hopefully the company provides a solution but from what I can gather online, there is no permanent fix and people have to just keep getting sent new sticks. I'm so disappointed

    Top-grade controller, only slightly imperfect

Overall, this controller is like the offspring of the Xbox One and PS4 controllers. I've only been using this controller for a short time, yet I'm already deeply in love with it. The pros are numerous so I'll recount my experiences more than the specs. Setup: A breeze. While the instructions say to do a firmware update before use, it still works in the PS4 without that. Barely an update when I did the update (a 0.0.1 addition to the software). The toggle on the back is nice for dedicated control but adds a step for PS4 use; when in the context of PC use makes more sense, but still would be more logical for wireless use whenever the dongle is plugged in and wired otherwise. Customization: The customization options are great. And, unlike many third-party makers, the computer software feels modern and responsive. Trigger depth register, button mapping, stick sensitivity, and more are all customizable in addition to the marketed module swapping. I found it useful to leave profile 1 at default setting, with O and X mapped to the underside buttons, for adventure, action, and racing games. Profile 2 I heavily tuned for shooters by swapping the under buttons around, increased the sensitivity of the triggers so the short-stop locks could work and still trigger action commands, and more subtle details. All of this was through the computer software. And there is a clear "sync profile" button to enact these changes. There is a button on the controller to make changes on the fly as well. And having a switch on the back for the profiles makes switching controls a breeze. Feel and use: The physical "language" of the C40 is a lot like the Xbox One controller. However, it is notably larger in certain spots than the Xb1 controller and significantly larger than the PS4 controller in all respects. I love this since my hands are on the large side. Ironically, I'd love to have this controller replace my Xbox One controller instead of the PS4. This is due to the Xb1 controller design actually hurting my hand after about 20 minutes or more of use. Perhaps they will make a version in the future that allows swapping the button pad for Xbox/PS/PC use? With the way my hands lay and angle my fingers the under buttons are perfectly placed, where I can comfortably move my fingers off them when I don't want to use them and move them on when I do. The texturing is defined on the main body, yet gentle and not irritating for my hands. Same of the rubber texturing on the underside of the grips. All the buttons, sticks, and trigger movements match the refined feeling of the PS4 controller yet add a level of crisp and definitive response to the mix. The symbol buttons for example on the stock controller like to lean if pressed on the edges without registering a press. The C40 buttons retain better rigidity and cleanly depress instead of leaning. Most of all: better triggers. Stock PS4 triggers have always felt like the weak point of that controller to me: flimsy, too small, weird hinge point, and just crash down. The C40 again takes the best of the Xb1 controller and refines it for PS4 use: soft stop end of travel, nice tension, good size and angles (the Xb1 triggers have angles that hurt me), solid build, and no matter where on the trigger your finger is the trigger depresses! Support: Looking on the website the support is great, and the modules are sold individually so if one trigger wears out but not the other you aren't trapped buying "packs" of items. Though it is annoying the only way to charge this device is through the designated cable which has to fit down a "tunnel" on the controller back. And the carrying case is wonderfully solid and hefty. It really feels like the kind of controller to protect and maintain instead or replacing when one thing wears out. Summary: While I balked at the $200 price tag, and ended up getting it on sale at $180, this controller is definitely worth the investment. The customization, the build quality, the support all come together to make an all-but-perfect controller. If I were to compare these to cars the Xb1 controller is like Ford (really good and sometimes fun with performance elements, but rough on the edges and lacking some vital refinements), the PS4 is like a Toyota (usually very refined, solidly built, and well engineered but lacking fun or the "premium" feeling), leaving the C40 to be like a Mercedes-AMG (very solid, very well engineered, premium and luxury feeling with performance to match).

    Compared to Elite 2 Controller

I bought this because of a youtube review I saw on it. Everyone was saying how great it was, despite the heavy stick drift issue. Well, I'm happy to say, I didn't have the stick drift issue. I really like this controller and it feel great in the hands. How does it compare to the Elite 2 controller? Well, I'm no where near a professional gamer. I like how you can adjust the sticks ramp times. Does it help me shoot better in Fortnite? I'd say a little better than the Elite. I don't seem to have as much overcompnsation when trying to move a little. Either controller is good for me. My son says I should use a keyboard and mouse, but I haven't made the switch yet.
