First things first...these headphones are a bit pricey; definitely the most expensive pair I own. That being said, you get what you pay for and these are great! The sound quality is fantastic for gaming. It comes with the wire for an Xbox controller but the box also contains a normal 3.5mm headphone jack so I have also used them on my PC and Switch Lite.

The headphones have a nice weight to them. They fit my son’s head well. Ear padding is comfortable. They are wired-which some may see as a drawback, but they work very well for my son. He had problems with the wireless headsets and connections, so he actually prefers these wired headphones. Now, the only issue is having to tell him not to talk so loudly when he’s gaming!! ;)

1st time buying astro and I've been checking reviews but it's exactly as you would expect, meaning it's incredible. It feels great, build quality and design are amazing and the mixamp m80 for Xbox is the best thing ever. I never realized how important and convenient it is to have those extra features from the mixamp.

Absolutely wonderful. Super comfortable, incredible sound, easy to manage game/voice/mute volumes. Con: Paint on top of headset (plastic) seems to chip away quickly. I take very good care of these and the once black piece is now almost completely clear from paint chipping.

Great headset love the mix amp for easy muting and adjusting the volume.

Sounds quality is excellent in this headset! I can hear everything very clearly and voice quality with me talking through the headset is just as good. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a seriously good gaming headset. They are also the most comfortable headset I’ve used

I got this after my Game Ones broke. They are very comfortable. Usually my ears would start hurting after a while with my previous headset. I don’t have that problem with this one. Sound quality is pretty decent too. Not as good as the Game Ones. But It’ll do. The mix amp is a big plus too. Beats the Microsoft one I was using. Overall I’m happy.

Perfect. Corded mic that plugs into Xbox controller and uses controller battery and has a mix amp on the controller. No Bluetooth, connection issues or batteries to worry about. Highly recommend

Awesome sound, comfortable. I know wired headsets can be a deal breaker for some, especially plugging into the controller but these did not disappoint. The wire doesn't get in my way and I can get fairly worked up during some games, jumping in my seat (you know the ones who lose their minds during a game- but take it down maybe 2 notches). The sound is clear and the headset fits comfortably both on myself and my kid so this gives you a range of sizing for comfort. I did spend a lot of time trying on different headsets for comfort as I hate when I feel like my head is in a vice and my ears start to hurt. None of that with these. I knew the price was going to be steep for a good headset and this was not the price I was expecting but decided to say hell with it and buy them anyway. No regrets!

Wow... amazing sound. Especially when enabling the included 2 year Dolby sound for headphones. Incredibly comfortable. Easy to use. I'm an astro fanboy for life.

Sound quality is better than an average gaming headset. I have not used the controller mixer attachment because the controller I use is from a third party and does not fit. The mic is good quality, according to my friends who I talk to through the headset, and there is an interesting feedback that allows me to hear myself back through the headset but maybe that can be adjusted using the mixer, haven't tried to though. I mainly use it for Apex Legends and the audio is superb. I have listened to some music with it and it is a pretty decent headset for that purpose too. The only issue I have is with the aux cord that connects the controller to the headset. It is super janky and needs to be wiggled into a specific position in order for the headset to work. I tried using another cord I had but it didn't work at all, will probably get a replacement cord soon. Not being able to use the mixer isn't a big deal for me personally but it could be a dealbreaker for some people.

Long time gamer, and I've been worried about changing from my previous headset (EarForce x10 (super old but cheap and high-sound-quality)). These sound amazing, the fit is light and airy, and the integration with the XBOX is super simple. Would recommend these for sure!

Switched from a turtle beach stealth 700 headset. Began giving me interference issues. Went with the Astro A40 with Mixamp80. Love having the volume controls at my fingertips! Great sound too!! Came with a code for Dolby Atmos for 2 years also!

Great headset, I get a warranty and replace it every year or so. I like this better than the wireless anyway so I stick with it. Easy to plug in and get right to the action.

I love astros they are amazing but expensive..... but for the quality and sound they are worth the price and they last a long time I had my old set for 3 years and just got these last month and the old set still works just as if they brand new

Best gaming headsets i owned.In my opinion they better then turtle beach.Love that u dont need to charge when you have it connected to controller.Sound is loud and clear and adjustable to your liking.Also well built and comfortable.

Amazing sound quality and the most comfortable headset I've ever worn! Everything is magnetic and replaceable so it's very easy to take the ear cushions off to replace. Easy to use and connect to the controller as well.

Upgrading from the Astro A20s,I love the A40s they’re light on your head and the sound is amazing. Only con is you have to change your pre set on the mix amp every time you turn your controller on other than that they’re awesome.
