We bought the highest-end Braava mop because we already have a Roomba J7+ vacuum, which we love and use regularly. We like the Braava a lot, and think it performs significantly better than hybrid robot vacuum/mops. But if you’re used to a Roomba, you immediately can tell that the Braava’s mapping algorithms and navigational prowess around your home are just not as robust as a Roomba. It’s a long and annoying task waiting for the Braava to finally learn your entire home layout (this is much easier with a Roomba), and you can’t easily share your Roomba’s pre-existing home map with it, either. Once it finally learns your house, things get a lot more convenient, but it still can’t find its way out of a jam (lost, stuck, etc.) as easily as a Roomba can. If the navigation was improved, this would be a five star mop. Still, it’s the best thing out there.

    Good Experience with iRobot Products.

IRobot makes great quality products, they are simply amazing. Months ago I was in a car accident and ever since then I have been having a difficult time vacuuming and mopping my home. I decided to try Shark robots but I was disappointed on their performance Then, I decided to step up and got me the IRobot 9+ with the Braava Jet m6 and my life became a lot easier when performing cleaning duties. The iRobot 9+ works amazing, no need to have to watch it (unlike I was watching the Shark) and the Braava Jet m6 does good. I'm saying good because I have to transitions on the floor and the robot cannot maneuver itself to get to those rooms, the transitions are about 3mm. This is the only issue that frustrates me that I have to pick it up and place in the floor I want it to mop. I called Customer service but they were kinda rude in a way. I was told that they know about this issue and that I could aways pick it up and place it where it needs to mop. I get that and I explained to them that I have been having back issues and is hard for me to do this. When the mopping function is complete the floors look amazing. It does a great job at mopping just maneuvering over transitions not that great. iRobot should take clients' feedback seriously if they want to keep being successful. I'm saying this because I was told they know about this issue. Overall is a great product. If you have back problems, like I do, you might want to consider purchasing this if its an issue for you.

am thrilled with this new Braava. I had ordered the T380 or whatever it is called and it did not do much of a job cleaning my floors, nor did it connect to my phone and roomba ; so I returned it. This new jet m6 is night and day above that one. It is mopping my floors as I type and getting them truly clean as my new roomba s9+ vacuums the other rooms before the braava gets to it. They work together which is a huge plus to me as I don’t have let the roomba finish before firing up the braava every day. I just turn them on and let them do their thing resulting in clean, shiny floors while I drink my coffee and get my paid work done. I have never been so happy with a product in my life as I am with the Braava jet m6 and the Roomba s9+! The only cons is that I believe it requires the use of the iRobot cleaning fluid if cleaning fluid is wanted as opposed to using other brands. Same for the mop heads; although I have ordered some rewashable ones to keep the mopping price down as the throw always are fairly pricey at a dollar a mop. With that said, the throw-away is what is mopping my floors so beautifully as I type; so if the microfiber rewashables don’t do as good a job as the throw-always I will be purchasing them in bulk as I am happy with the job the throw-aways do. So incredibly glad I purchased these two items as I was a bit reluctant due to the price tag. Not now. They are worth every penny to me.

What sets this robot mop apart is its ability to clean intelligently. Instead of randomly canvasing your floors, it uses its built-in camera and sensors to perform a more thorough cleaning. It can recognize dirtier areas and will make multiple passes if needed. I am impressed with its ability to pick up dirt. As seen in the accompanying photos, it does a very good job cleaning the top layer of dirt from my floors. I had mopped a couple days earlier, and I was quite pleased with the mop’s results. I do want to point out that this mop will not completely eliminate the need to manually mop. You’ll need to continue your preferred cleaning schedule to accomplish a deep clean, but the Braava jet m6 will keep your floors very clean in-between your main mopping days. To my point, this is the reason why I’m so satisfied with this latest model; it’s wonderful to know that my floors are being cleaned daily, rather than just once or twice a week. Like I mentioned above, it’s an intelligent clean with an appropriate amount of cleaning fluid sprayed on the floors as needed. A few things to note: only two “wet” mopping pads are included in the box. They are one-time use (disposable) mopping pads. Considering how many times I like using this device, relying on disposable pads will get expensive and produce a lot of waste. I ended up purchasing the reusable (washable) mopping pads from iRobot’s website. They’re more expensive, but it will save me money in the long run. Also, here’s a tip. When you register the Braava jet online with iRobort, you’ll be sent a coupon via email for 15% off accessories. This saved me a few dollars off each pack of reusable mopping pads. Another note is that iRobot only approves the cleaning solution provided with the mop. You can use just water, but I prefer to run it with it’s cleaning solution. I also used my 15% off coupon to purchase a couple of larger bottles of cleaning solution from their website. One feature I was bummed I couldn’t fully utilize is the mop’s ability leave its base and travel to a specified room. For example, after the mop maps out your floors, on a future cleaning, you can tell it to clean the kitchen. If there’s nothing in its way, it will leave its base, travel directly to the room you specified, clean that room thoroughly, then return to it’s base all on its own. Because I have a rug running down the center of my hallway, the robot isn’t able to reach the kitchen because it’s not designed to travel over rugs. So instead, I simply carrying the robot to the kitchen and press the Clean button to start cleaning. It’s simple and not an inconvenience. Overall, I’m really happy with this mop’s cleaning ability. It’s perfect for a light to medium daily cleaning, especially because I’m not the one doing the cleaning. It’s priced on the high end, but it accomplishes it’s effective in doing its job.

    Floors have never been cleaner

I'm a stickler for clean floors, always have been. So much so that my family knows not to bother cleaning them and allow me to obsess about them; at least that's what I tell myself since I'm the only one that winds up cleaning them. I have had several high end vacuums over the years, from handhelds to robots and everything in between. That being said, I was excited to add the iRobot Braava M6 Robot Mop to my playlist in an effort to give myself more "me" time and not obsess as much. At first glance, it seems pretty underwhelming but after a couple uses I have been overly impressed. I was a little concerned after setting it up, downloading the smartphone app and letting it bounce off my furniture as it seemed to take forever to maneuver between chairs and around rugs. However, after it's first run, I opened the app only to realize it had mapped out my hardwood floors for future cleaning. Since it is a bit bigger than the previous model, it covers more floor space but is still small enough to find it's way under chair and table legs. Mind you, I take pride in my clean floors by cleaning them at least once a week but the stuff this little robot picked up made them look even better and might have put me out of a job. After the second and third cleaning, I now can rely on the Braava mop to keep up the maintenance on the floors and you can set a schedule for the cleanings in the app; you just need to make sure you have a clean pad on the bottom and a full tank of cleaning solution. My only gripe is they only included two disposable wet pads, two disposable dry pads and a small container of cleaning solution in the box. I would plan on investing a little more money in reusable pads or additional disposable pads along with more cleaning solution in the first month. I also would suggest only buying the iRobot cleaning solution because it not only did a great job picking up the dirt and dust, it did not leave unwanted streaks on my floors. I would recommend the iRobot Braava M6 Robot mop to anyone with a floor obsession like myself if you're willing to fork out the money which, in my opinion, is worth it for the time I'm saving not having to obsess over clean floors.

This is a cool device, my only issue is that you have to use the cleaner from the manufacturer, as any other cleaner may damage the internals of the robot. If your floor is dirty, it may take a couple of cycles to get it clean, but it does a good job of maintaining floors. I would not personally use it for too dirty of messes, more just to maintain.

I am older now and mopping hurts my back. So my floors were not maintained well. I needed something that worked. I use my robot vacuum first then the robot mop. My floors have never looked better. Do yourself a favor and the the washable pads. Pros- App is very easy to use. Works with Alexa and Google home. Cleans well. Once the home is mapped it works very well. Cons- If you want to add cleaner to the water, you must use the IRobot cleaner or void the warranty. (work around, put the cleaner of your choice directly on the floor) Mapping the home takes a while. Larger homes may require two separate maps.

Having this mop go out after our vaccum is a great idea...But! I dry mopped, sent it out to map, next day wet mop. It made a map and I went to deck it out with rooms, zones and some thresholds, then it would not work. I was trying to dry mop with the correct pad and it made the red ring. Look at the app NOTHING. Look online to figure out how to make it tell me what is wrong and it said it one time and would never tell me again. Just sat there crying its chime and its red ring. Finaly figured out next day, it says the map on the app and the map it has on board doesnt match so it goes no where. Delete the map and it runs thru the house. Its been a very fickle thing, cant tell if its about the water tank, the map, or what the discrepancy is. After making a new map it was fine going to a specific place but later i tried adding one zone, then it red rings and wont run, like its lost. App never tells me what the issue is even though all the info I read says it should. I can forgo having zones but i am a bit cross that adding thresholds upset it, so it wont go in my bathroom. Im too afraid to put it in there and have it red ring. I have come home to it crying its chime for who knows how long even though it was fine the night before. Even with its fickle problems I think it mops well and gets the job done. I wouldn't recommend this mop to a friend because the price was high and its been a struggle that i wouldn't wish to a less tech savy friend. My husband alone would have just taken it back but but I have always gotten it back to working so Moe (from wall-e) stays.

We run this mop every Friday after the iRobot vacuum. It leaves some streaks due to a design flaw. It places out the water/cleaning solution and mops going forward. However that means the wheels in the back go thru the wet floor leaving streaks. Cleans well, but slight streaks

    Gets the Job Done

A disclaimer. We hate mopping. With a dog, a deck leading in from the back yard, and plenty of action in the kitchen, our first floor needs constant mopping. The need increased dramatically after we had luxury vinly plank flooring installed throughout the first floor. We bought a Braava Jet M6 as our answer to the problem. This robot mob works fairly well for both dry sweeping and wet mopping. However, there are issues that need to be engineered into future software updates. Most modern floating floors are installed short of the base molding of the wall. The gap is filled by installing quarter-round molding around the entire perimeter of the installation. Both in the learning mode, and the wet and dry mop functions, the Braava Jet M6 attempt to climb this quarter-round molding, assumes that it is a carpet edge, and moves on to another area. As such, for vinyl flooring installations using quarter round, perimeter cleaning is spotty. The Braava Jet does a good job otherwise. Another issue we had after only a few weeks in was an error showing up in the software after a mop run that indicated there was a battery error. After talking with tech support, I was told to remove the battery and let it sit and re-install the battery after an hour. So far, the fix has worked. The only other issue that I see with it is the price, and the need to continuously purchase dry sweep and wet mop pads and cleaning solution. From all that I can see, vinegar as an additive to water, or any other brand of cleaning solution is no longer recommended. While you can use just plain water, at some point you need a boost and some sanitation from an additive.

I love this little robot! It does have some quirks. Pros: 1. The reusable pad that came with it work like a charm. Works with Alexa. 2. Runs quietly. 3. Insanely easy to set up. and setup in Alexa equally easy. 4. Wife no longer tells me to mop the floors. :) (My favorite part) Cons: 1. I got two reusable pads from amazon.(Yes, they were I-robot pads.) First time use with the new pads the robot (named Clyde) get high centered on the grout lines now and then. I have since run them thru the wash and will see if that makes any difference. 2. Clyde does not do corners well. He leaves gunk where the left wall meets the right wall. 3. He does not get close to the carpet in the living room. He leaves about a two inch edge of tile, that he will not clean next to the carpet edge. Even though I have a exclusion zone set up and have moved it back and forth trying to get Clyde to mop closer to the carpet. 4. He sometimes gets lost when he parks himself. Would like it to: 1. I would like to use his name to activate. IE: Alexa ask Clyde to mop the kitchen. Instead I have to say Roomba. 2. Have it mop closer to the carpet. 3. Have a light on top so I don't have to leave a light on for him to mop. So I can have him mop in the middle of the night.

It mostly does a great job but it has an annoying tendency to say the tank needs more water when it is already full so it forces me to keep trying to add a few drops of water into it or take out the water tank & try to replace it several times before it will work again. Just recently, after two years, it's lost the whole frickin map of our home so I need to go through that painstaking process again so I haven't used it for the last month! Can't iRobot save these maps online somewhere?!? But when it works it does a good job.

The Braava goes a pretty good job of getting the ick off the floors, but sometimes it still leaves spots. In certain rooms in my house the Braava leaves streaks across the floor. Not really a big deal. The cons of this product is that it can be a little expensive to keep using. The disposable pads and the cleaning fluid isn't cheap. To keep the cost down I've bought reusable pads, which still work just fine. Also, I don't use the full amount of cleaning fluid recommended, instead I use a little more water.

I purchased a Roomba i7+ I have previously reviewed with high praise. It was my delight with that product that brought me to buy a robotic mop; the highest end one iRobot offers. I did not get the same satisfaction. Where the mapping abilities, and low maintenance of the vacuum got my admiration, the mop fails. Changing the pads and refilling the tank keeps the mop from being hands free after almost any mopping, it’s the mapping issues that make it a waste of time. The mop will not cross over any threshold in my home. It is a newer home. And even though it’s the same flooring in several areas, it will not cross over any rise, therefore preventing it from crossing from one room to another without picking it up and moving it. Mapping is made useless. To mop I have to pick it up from the base and place it in the room or area to be mopped and press clean all to cover that area or room, and repeat over and over. I can’t even preform the mapping/learning modes. The mopping job itself is adequate, but the hassle and constant attention needed makes it anything but a helpful, time saving, robotic mop I don’t think it was worth the money. Especially since I bought to do certain rooms at a time and worth with my vacuum. Save your money and get the cheaper model. Doesn’t pay if you can’t use the bells and whistles you pay for!

Now that I have owned and used the mop for a few months, here is what I think: THE GOOD- Mop starts right on time every cleaning day, and follows a predictable pattern of cleaning on our tile flooring. is very quiet, and does a decent job of surface maintenance. THE BAD - you have to re-fill the too small cleaning solution container too many times. The tile section for our floor is about 1500 square feet, and I have to refill the container twice every time it mops. It is also fairly slow to complete its work, Im sure why it is so slow as compared to the Roomba. Keep in mind this is not for cleaning big spills or really dirty floors, the Braava Jet M6 is best for maintaining a clean floor. If the iRobot product designers are listening, on the next version PLEASE give the Braava the capability to re-fill its cleaning solution container automatically from a reservoir. Bottom line, I think this is a good product, but not great - Yet. It took the Roomba a few generations to get good, and hopefully the Braava M6 will get some needed upgrades as well.

This robot is a companion for my Roomba j7+, and they do a great job cleaning my main floor, but this robot isn't perfect. Its main downfall is threshold, or those little transitions between different types of flooring. Once the smart map is built, you can create little zones where transitions are. The robot will turn off its rug/carpet detection in those areas so that it can go over the thresholds. This works maybe 25% of the time. My entire downstairs is hard flooring, but the mud room and bathroom are tiled and there are transitions. The Braava has made it into the mud room multiple times, but it has never made it out, despite me messing with the zones. The thresholds in my house are pretty big, but its still annoying because its physically capable of making it over. I wouldn't be surprised it this was improved in a software update. Other then that the robot is very thorough and makes life way easier. Compared to my Braava 240 this thing is so much more efficient and thorough. The 240 frequently got lost but this never does. I also love the ability to schedule a cleaning where my Roomba vacuums and then this mops or sweeps. If you have a large hard floor with no thresholds or very small threshold this robot will be great. TLDR: Get this if you have large hard floor that don't have thresholds the robot can get stuck on.

This mop has been a time saver for me it does a very good job on linoleum floors and I don't see any streaks like some people say. The only issue I have with it is it can't map my house becuase it won't go over the transition strips I have between the floors and carpet. So I end up having to move it around. Otherwise I love it and the Irobot roomba i7t got as a package deal.
