Only had it for a few weeks, but already love it. We like the ability to make just one cup or a whole pot of coffee. So much functionality for the price and doesn’t use expensive pods. Perfect for an amateur barista

2 stars since it stopped working after 2 years…. Really a good coffee maker while it lasted, for the price I was hoping it would have lasted around 5 years like my last cheapie from Walmart….

This coffee maker fills everyone’s needs. By the cup, by the pot, cold, froth, strong. The multiple size choices and variety of brewing are useful options.

Tried to get used to the idea of pictures of cup sizes, 1/2 pot and full pot. I like my traditional cup sizes so I know how much coffee grinds to add. I did figure it out after trial and error. After a few months, whenever I brew coffee of any size, grinds overflow, especially with strong brew. I descale. and it helps the next time or 2, but then grinds are back in the coffee pot. Thought it was just me till I read other reviews. Although a milk frother is attached, a hand held milk frother can be bought for $5 anywhere.

I went through a lot of coffee makers and found fault with all except this one. Every drink I make comes out rich and delicious. This is also easy to use.

I was looking for a great coffee maker that was multifunctional. I decided to get the Ninja. I like the different options, but the coffee will only stay warm on a half pot setting or higher. This morning I placed the carafe on the heater and left the room for 2 minutes, when I returned there was coffee everywhere and the carafe was broken. I am not sure where , how or why, but I know it was a disastrous mess. I have not had the product a year yet and hypersensitive glass has broken.

The Ninja Specialty Coffee Maker is an excellent addition to our kitchen counter. It can pretty much make just about any kind of coffee, short of being a full espresso machine. It was straightforward to set up and start using. I especially like the fold-out frother, which works great with cold or hot milk.
A lot of thought went into the design of this coffee maker. The slide-out mesh filter makes it easy to add grounds and has a flow stop slider if you need to interrupt the flow of the coffee. The wire mesh is easy to clean with a simple rinse. A fold-down cup holder prevents splashing. A selector dial allows natural selection of the type of coffee along with push buttons for classic, rich, or over ice dispensing. The water chamber is easy to lift and grip for refilling.
I highly recommend the Ninja Coffee Maker for anyone who enjoys making different kinds of coffee. My only wish? A 3-gallon water jug adapter.

Just wanted a pot of coffee!
The unit I purchased does not allow you to make a full pot of coffee without the coffee grounds overflowing the filter on the Classic setting. It does it with the original filter and with #4 cone paper filters. The problem is that the unit adds more water than it can filter into the pot, which causes the overflow... Every time.
If you decide the make a half pot, single cup, travel mug, not a problem.
Full pot equals a big mess!

We have been using instant coffee for a while, but a month ago, husband started to talk about getting a coffee machine because he wanted to try this coffee brand he saw.
We picked this one and I am now obsessed with it!!!
At first this coffee machine looks intimidating, but it is really simple to use!
Love that has a lot of awesome features and options like making a single cup, travel cup or just half of the pot!
But my favorite part is that I am now able to make fancy iced latte in the comfort of my home. The milk frother is pretty cool!
It comes with the handy scoop and a reusable filter which is great.
Overall I would totally recommend this to all the coffee lovers out there!

I needed a new coffeemaker after my Bunn coffeemaker wore out and the new Mr. Coffee coffeemaker I replaced it with suffered a broken carafe for which there’s no replacement. After extensive research and review of customer comments, I decided to buy this Ninja coffeemaker, even though it has more gadgets on it than I want or will use. I bought it because it has a great design, and best of all, Ninja actually makes replacement parts for the glass carafe and water reservoir that they keep in stock! The design of the carafe is excellent, as you can pour a cup of coffee with no drips. The top screws on, which is also better than the ones that snap on. It’s much easier to clean! I love the glass water reservoir, much better than the plastic ones. It also has an ingenious drip stop lever for the grinds basket, so no more coffee drips on the heating element when we pour a cup of coffee or remove the carafe for cleaning. I think the measuring spoon that snaps into the side is unnecessary and takes away from the looks of the coffeemaker, and I’ll never use it as the scoop I have is fine, but that’s not a dealbreaker. I probably won’t use the milk frother either, but some people may like it. I would have liked if a less expensive version had been offered without the gadgets, but I don’t regret this purchase. One nice feature is that since it accommodates multiple types and sizes of containers, any brand carafe with work as a replacement if this one breaks. The coffee it makes is just okay, not the best I’ve had, but I have only been using it for a week, so I will continue to experiment with measurements. I expect it will improve. The setup was super easy and quick. The instructions are very clear and well-written. Despite the many features, the instructions make it easy to use. I highly recommend this coffeemaker!

This coffee maker is really easy to use and makes great coffee. I love that it has a high elevation calibration considering I live above 5000 feet. The milk frothed helps in making wonderful lattes and the included scoop helps measure out the right amount of coffee. The reusable filter cleans easily. I can’t really see any downsides of the product. I would not buy if you have very little counter space but otherwise it is well worth the price.

Real 5 Star Ninja Specialty Coffee Maker

Full disclosure. My wife is the real coffee drinker in this family, and I am an occasional coffee drinker. The Ninja is unique for a couple of reasons and one of the best reasons is the ability to go away from the Keurig plastic containers for specialty blends. Honestly, we do not need more plastic garbage in this world. So yeah, anytime I can make a single serving of coffee for my wife without contributing to the already messed up plastic problem we have going on the better.
So here we go. The Ninja Model CM401
This coffee maker has several different settings, from single serving in a cup of different sizes to a 10 Cup Carafe. It has six serving settings alone to choose. There are 4 brew style settings which are Classic, Rich, Over Ice and Specialty. Now its important to note that there are also many many blends of coffee and each has its distinct flavor and what one person would call great someone else may not even like, so we won't get into what branded flavor we used just to give you an example of how this product tested against other similar coffee makers such as Keurig. Also, Ninja has a fold-away Frother that frankly the Keurig doesn’t have so I will just say is simple to use, not hard to clean and really makes a nice froth with any cream or milk you may use.
Tested classic brew for richness and consistency against the Keurig. We found that the Ninja brewed more effectively at the classic level than our Keurig. The same serving size was used for both in the test, two scoops from the Ninja Smart Scoop. The flavor was richer, had a fuller taste to the blend.
The Rich brew was amazing. Now we tested originally with two scoops and it was a bit strong as you can imagine, so we tried a single scoop and it was an amazing brew. So, while the Keurig still needed two scoops, the Ninja only needed one. Again, we do not like our coffee bitter so this really worked for us.
Since the weather has been on the cool side, we haven’t tested the over ice setting but will update this post when we do.
The only knock I have on this and it really isn’t a knock. The Ninja takes a bit longer to brew. Now again it may be that this is what gives it its rich full flavor is because of this. The machine is easy to clean and we really love the brewing styles and its ability to make up to 10 cups at a time. This is a true 5 Star product. Well worth the $169.99 it retails for at the moment.

At first I wasn’t sure on buying this coffee maker. Gave it a chance, believe me you won’t regret it. It’s really easy to use, easy to change between the settings. The brothel on this coffee maker makes a big difference. Over all good experience give it a shot you have nothing to loose, but a lot to gain.

I’m upgrading from a basic 5 cup drip coffee maker, but I feel like this thing makes drinking coffee even more enjoyable. The different settings actually seem to work, the frother is super handy. I even love the little measuring scoop. I would say, it’s probably not the fastest, but I don’t think it aspires to be. It’s about an experience, a place in the house to setup as a coffee bar. That being said, the footprint is kinda big, so it may not work for everyone, It also does keep dripping when done... BUT there’s a super handy and easy, drip shutoff slider switch so it doesn’t really bother me.

This coffee maker was an instant hit, and after 5 months we are still loving it.
Some people have complained that the water tank leaks, we have not yet had any problem. We use a long brush to hand wash the carafe, and put it through the dishwasher once a month. We choose to use paper #4 filters instead of the supplied gold filter, because we usually make a full carafe. The gold filter is useful for one cup purposes. We love the pull-out cup shelf, and we love the pull-out frother.
We use less coffee than the Ninja manual suggests - 3 scoops for a full carafe (instead of 4), and use the "Rich" button. The coffee tastes good for our taste. The coffee is also brewed very fast!!
