A model of design plus function

This is my second Keurig having bought the K-Mini back in July for travel purposes. A few days ago our coffee maker for the home died on us. So I went shopping for a replacement and saw this model. I was intrigued with the combination single-serve/carafe design. I was a little hesitant because of the price since I don't think I have ever paid more than $100 for a coffee maker. Based on the pleasant experience I have had with the Mini I decided to take the chance. When I took it home and opened the box I was immediately impressed by the design and the fact that you can position the water reservoir on either side or in the back depending on your preference or available counter space. This isn't clear in the packaging. This makes the unit very slim in design - and I was a little concerned that I would have to rearrange all my appliances to make room for this new addition. Not even and issue! Next, I brewed a pot of coffee after a few water-only cleaning cycles. I tried one of my favorite Costa Rican whole bean coffees and I have to say this Keurig enhanced the taste significantly. Then later in the day I tried a single serve K-pod using the same coffee with the Keurig reusable pod. Same great taste and great aroma. Overall, I am loving this coffee maker. I can't wait to get up in the morning and make a pot of coffee or just a single serve using the K-pods. While I am relatively new to Keurig products I am sold and I have been a coffee nut for over 40 years now. I am hoping that this unit will last a long time, I wish I could comment on the durability but since it has only been a few days I will just say that this coffee maker is very well designed, easy to use, versatile, and makes a great cup of Joe!

My Keurig Vue finally died. It was by far the best Keurig I’ve used. So, I wanted a carafe style Keurig. This one fits the bill. I can make a quick cup using k-cups or use my favorite grind and brew a full carafe. It only gets 4 stars because the carafe doesn’t keep the pot hot long enough. I preheat the carafe and it works ok. It’s a shame they didn’t use the same technology as a Yeti!

Love it. We make both pots of coffee and also use the pods. Design and ease of use is outstanding. Combined the maker with the Keurig storage unit with rollers with space for 35 pods and not taking up more counter space. Another well designed and functional product. It is expensive but worth the money if you want the flexibility of use.

This is the fourth Keurig I’ve owned, but the first with a coffee pot. Overall, it’s a good brewer. The Keurig cup reservoir easily comes out for cleaning, as does the coffee filter housing. The coffee pot will keep your coffee warm all day; twice I’ve brewed a full pot from which I drew a cup or so, left for work and returned home 10 hours later to find the remaining coffee luke-warm. The large reservoir is convenient because you don’t have to refill it that often unless you’re brewing full pots of coffee. The cons: coffee, wheather brewing a cup or a pot tends to run out the sides of the filter reservoir, down the sides of the reservoir and into the overflow catch. It can be a bit messy. This is my only compliant, otherwise, it’s a good system.

We read the negative and positive reviews before we made this purchase. We're pleased to report we made a great decision. We are particularly happy with the stainless steal carafe and how long it keeps the coffee hot, the easily removeable and refillable reservoir, and the overall aesthetic.

Wouldn't not work. Tried to exchange it for another one. Said they couldn't figure out how to exchange it at customer service. Offered to refund the money. So i could order one online for $50 higher price.

I am transitioning from the Keurig 2.0 and wanted to be able to still brew a pot or a cup. This was the logical choice although the price was much higher than I wanted to pay. Not sure why it is so expensive. There are not a lot of bells and whistle’s and it does not produce coffee and demand like the last unit did. It doesn’t take very long to heat up however it’s still longer than immediate. I also I am transitioning from the Keurig 2.0 and wanted to be able to still brew a pot or a cup. I purchased this keurig a couple weeks ago. I haven’t used it yet, but my family has and it works great. I love how you can remove the water dispenser to fill it so you don’t have to dirty a water pitcher or spill any water trying to fill it. It’s pretty cool you can make a k cup or an actual pot of coffee with the same machine. It is all plastic thou so not sure how long it will last and I must say it is pretty pricy and overpriced for whe build quality.

Carafe Doesn't Keep Coffee Warm Enough

We've had this coffee maker for a little over a year. I don't write reviews a lot, but wold love Keurig to respond. The machine is cool. Make a pot or a cup. But my one complaint is the thermal carafe doesn't have much "thermal". By the time I pour my second cup, I have to microwave it to heat it up. And yes, I put milk in my coffee-but the first cup is perfect, heat wise. Other thermal carafes I've had in the past kept my coffee very warm, never having to heat up in the microwave. So, is this is poor design? Have you come up with a new design and how could I get that new carafe?

This allows to bounce back and forth between single pots and Kraft full ups. This does sit much better on the kitchen counter and is easier to use as far as replacing the water!!

On the weekends I found myself making a pot of coffee. During the work week I made a single cup with my older Keurig coffee maker. This Duo plus does both and takes up less counter space. The reservoir can be placed on either side of the unit or mounted toward the back. It can also be programed to automatically brew at a later time. I bought it on sale and am very happy with my purchase.
