It has the capacity I needed - 256 GB - because I had 150 GB of data on my old computer that I needed to transfer to this computer and I still have 100 GB of unused space. Also, it has a solid state drive which makes it more efficient It's a little bigger size-wise - 17.3" than I wanted but it is still portable enough.

From shutdown to booted and working in less than 20 seconds - love it. Huge screen, has SD, Ethernet port and an optical drive which were a must for my antiquated requirements. I hope the durability is proves adequate as the frame is mainly plastic from what I see. So far so good, would be 5 stars with a tougher frame.

The lap top is light weight with a large screen. It’s fast and easy to use.

I love the big screen and large keys on the keyboard-excellent for us senior citizens. The overall speed is amazing. Display is awesome & has more than enough memory for my usage. I have always been a HP product fan. Really glad that it has the solid state drive.

I decided to buy a new laptop this year so I started searching for laptops during Black Friday deals. I found this laptop for a great price. I love that it has CD/DVD compatibility. The screen is a very decent size. The storage space that it comes with is perfect too. Although I did purchase a 2TB Harddrive on the side for extra storage. Using this laptop mainly for pictures & videos. Overall an amazing laptop for a price I couldn't skip out on.

This is a great laptop. Works fast. I am pleased with the quality of the graphics. Loooove my 17 inch screen for streaming Netflix. All of the software work properly. I turned off Cortana, she’s a loudmouth. I had a scare once with the Ethernet cord jammed in the port for a spell, but it just takes a cool hand to remove ,it I found out later when I tried again. I wish it had backlit keyboard, but forwhat I paid for an i5 core, hey I’m cool using the lamp.

This 17" HP is really fast doing everything. I'm impressed with the solid state drive also. No clicking & whirring whatsoever. The only sounds that come from it is when the fan kicks in, & just whatever I play thru thru the speakers. I bought it as an open box product but it came looking & packed as new. That saved some bucks. I appreciate the extra screen real estate so I can make the letters & images a little larger. My eyes aren't what they used to be.

so far I've had no issues. it performs perfectly. on another issue, i want to give kudos to eddie at the centennial store. i was torn between this computer and a "all in one". he showed pros and cons of each and explained advantages of solid state vs mechanical hard drives, after verifying this with online reviews the choice was easy.

This was my birthday present from my husband. We had been talking about trying the Solid State drive for a while so he surprised me with this laptop. I love the speed that I have while on the internet. I can actually play my favorite game (Farmville on Facebook) without all the normal problems like freezing screens or crashes. It also doesn't get as hot as the ones that require fans. I highly recommend this laptop.

Up until I purchased this laptop i had been clunking around with an old Windows 7. So when I got into this way more modern Windows 10 i was overwhelmed...but not for long ! It was an easy setup once I got the hang of it. I also got a great deal on it, cause you matched a Amazon price i was extremely pleased. The unit is also lighter weight than my old clunky one. A great guy for anyone.

I brought this laptop as a less expensive option for replacing my wife's 17" laptop that had the screen coming apart from the base. My wife's old laptop was an HP pavilion Intel I7, 12gb of ram & 1 TB mechanical HD. She primarily used it for e-mail & watching TV. This new laptop is able to boot much faster & performs just as good if not better than her old one.

I bought this computer as a replacement for an 8 year old laptop that has slowed down to the point of not being bearable anymore. I decided on this machine because it had an onboard DVD/CD drive and wired ethernet connection, which several newer laptops don't. I've been very happy with the purchase. The price dropped the day after I purchased and Best Buy refunded the difference in the matter of a phone call. The computer is fast. Power up and shut down with the solid state drive is fantastic. From powered down to ready to go in a matter of 5-10 seconds and the same with shut down. The monitor looks great and on board sound is great. The laptop comes with Windows 10 "S" version. I haven't had an issue with the S version getting in my way of anything so far. I use my laptop mainly for surfing and email. I will eventually install Adobe Creative Suite, but have no reason to believe I'll have any problems. I've decided to store photos on an external drive because of the smaller size of the solid state hard drive, but not really an issue, just a matter of doing things a little different than I'm used to. Overall, very happy with the purchase. Curbside pickup was fast and easy as well after online purchase.

This laptop has been great so far. The memory is sufficient, considering it uses SSD, and it actually has enough RAM. Big screen, runs fast, and can run games well enough too. The graphics aren't perfect, and it's a bit heavy, but it looks to be a great quality compared to the price.

It has good speed and power, I do not use it for gaming but I personally would not rate it very high for gaming. I like the larger size and screen size, this is everything I look for in a travel PC. The upgrade from Windows S mode was very easy and it was free, this was also a must for me.

Bought this laptop in 2020. Hardly ever used it until last year (2022). Immediately noticed that the right corner side where it folds to close felt difficult when closing. Almost like a stuck feeling. But I didnt think too much of it and continued using. Yesterday 8/3/23 the right hinge actually broke when closing and the laptop lifts when attempting to close and open. It took 1 year of daily use for the hinge to break. This sucks because the warranty is only good for 1 year. The laptop was never dropped or anything on my part. The hinges are just cheaply made and will break with daily use of the laptop.

My husband's computers all seem to quit working and/or break frequently. We needed a bigger monitor due to his eyesight and good sound quality so he can listen to his rock and/or roll with his Beats headphones. This one fit the bill and didn't cost an arm and a leg.

I just use it for school, which can last haha. Only downside is it does not have a backlit keyboard, which makes it hard to type at 3am (I type essays at 3am, yes.) Hmm, the battery life on it is alright, I expected it to last a full day, but it can go for 5 hours I think. Meh, it was cheap when I bought it :/

This laptop is so awesome I purchased 2 of them. We need it 2 laptops with the biggest screens possible, 8gb ram & SSD. Most of all a DVD drive to install some legacy programs needed. This laptop is way fast with super slick with Win 10S. Great price great product thats loaded with features.
