Customers praise the CordZero Cordless Stick Vacuum's battery life, suction power, lightweight design, and quiet operation. Many appreciate its ease of use and the effective cleaning performance on various floor types. However, some find the dustbin to be on the small side and consider the price point relatively high. The vacuum's attachments and washable filters also receive positive feedback.

This LG Hits a Home Run

LG redesigned their CordZero vacuum line for 2020 now with the motor being near the user's hand rather than along the lower end of the vacuum body like their previous CordZero line. The "Ultimate" option also includes a couple extra parts the regular "Charge" model does not. The box includes the vacuum cleaner body, extension wand, charging station (top of stand or wall-mount) + stand/base, charging adapter, Two 2000mAh rechargeable lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, mounting hardware, power floor nozzle, power carpet nozzle, power punch nozzle (upholstery), detachable nozzle storage piece, crevice attachment, 2-in-1 brush/crevice attachment, a spare pre-filter, owner's manual/paperwork, and a suction-cupped maintenance and quick guide to hang nearby if needed. The vacuum comes with a 1-10 year warranty depending on the parts. PROS: ----------- * The fact that you have 2 batteries is one of the biggest reasons to get this package. There is no reason to have a non-ejectable "built-in" battery so that you're unable to complete a job. And you get not 1 but 2 batteries which doubles your cleaning time. * There is NO index finger trigger button to power on/off. This is awesome. I do NOT want to keep a button depressed for 15-20 minutes while I vacuum. Instead, go to my next point... * Simple operation with only 3 buttons. Power ON/OFF, standard mode, power/turbo mode combo (5 sec hold for turbo). When you select a mode, it stays in that mode until you change the mode or turn off the unit. Some OTHER brands will leave a higher power mode on for only a specific allotted amount of time, then you must hit the button again to engage it again to remain at that speed for another finite amount of time. * Extremely easy to vacuum hardwoods/tile. The roller on the backside of the unit is rubber. As you rotate your wrist and move forward/backward, the vacuum moves with good precision and doesn't slide easily from side-to-side. * Good stand design. It can hold 4 of the 5 attachments at one time. The only oddball out is the upholstery tool which can go in a nearby drawer. The power cord attaches to top/back of the stand with the cord running in a small crevice to conceal it from view. If mounted, the base and stand is not used thus eliminating a hanging spot for 1 floor tool (either the carpet or the hard floor nozzle). * 3 simple lights designate the power remaining while vacuuming. Light sequence is 3 solid lights, 2 solid lights, 1 solid light, 1 blinking light, then the unit cuts off. * All nozzles/attachments CLICK into place to secure a nice fit without coming off. * The telescoping "extension" wand is really great for changing lengths of the unit when needed. (ie. Floor = full length. Doing stairs = shorter length). You can also remove the wand completely and attach any of the 5 heads to the base if you need to vacuum up close (ie. car seats, furniture, etc). CONS: ----------- * Not the cheapest of cordless vacuum cleaners (possibly due to the extra battery included) * If vacuuming thicker carpet, you will need a use a bit more muscle as the rollers on the bottom of the unit are not big, thus making it feel like you're simply pushing/pulling the unit without rollers. Some big corded vacuums might be easier to push/pull on carpet even. * Though I did not time this, the owners manual states one battery takes 3.5 hours to recharge fully. And even though both batteries can be engaged in the charging stand at the same time (1 in the stand, the other in the vacuum cleaner), only 1 can charge at a time. And the one in the vacuum charges first, then the extra battery will charge after that even though the white charging light on the bonus battery slot still blinks. It's a bit weird but the instructions explain it. It would be good if there was a quick charge possibility, but given you get 2 batteries, I'll take the trade-off. * The rear slot in which one of the crevice tools is attached to the charging station can be a little more difficult to reach than the front attachment area just due to placement. Definitely not a deal-killer, but keep the most used of the 2 crevice tools in the front if using the "stand" option (not mounted to a wall). * Low suction speed "standard mode" feels a little less suctiony than another high-dollar vacuum brand. I compared it to that brand with no nozzles attached and the other brand did have a bit more suction on its lowest speed. I feel that the user may need to use "power" mode to get the cleaning ability you really want. With 2 batteries and good runtime, most jobs should be ok with that. * Though emptying is simple, the button to release the dust collector was more tight than I would expect. This may be due to the tightness of the bottom lid with rubber gasket so that dust doesn't come out. Again, not a deal-killer. * When putting the unit onto the charging stand, it doesn't just slide into a groove - you must put it somewhat in the groove and just guide itself down until it clicks. This is really nit-picky but it just didn't attach itself into the charging position like for instance the same way the attachments slide (with no wiggle room) onto the unit and click into place. It just feels a little rickety in a small way when placing it on the charging area. OBSERVED TIMES: --------------------- THESE TIMES are with unit simply running but not being used on floor/surface (1 battery pack): LOW "STANDARD" POWER, CARPET ATTACHMENT - 34 min 30 sec (LG claims 30m) MEDIUM "POWER" POWER, CARPET ATTACHMENT - 13 min 32 sec (LG claims 9m) HIGH "TURBO" POWER, CARPET ATTACHMENT - 6 min 30 sec (LG claims 6m) ACTUAL USE (1 battery pack): MEDIUM "POWER" POWER, CARPET (7m) then HARDWOOD(5:30) attachment - 12 min 33 sec Sorry, I did not time any other use. OTHER OBSERVATIONS: ----------------------------------- * Times overall are on par or slightly better than advertised times in the manual. Keep in mind that as time goes on, the batteries will naturally lose their longevity and they may eventually need to be replaced. No battery lasts forever. * The 2 smaller attachments click into place on the charging station and can rotate 270 degrees left, front, right (with the button facing those directions). * After using in power and turbo mode for an entire duration of battery life, the batteries did not get too hot to the touch nor did it feel like the unit was overheated. If there is a blockage in the tube though, it may start to overheat and/or simply power off so the blockage can be removed. * All filters are washable so they can be used over and over. Just make sure they are completely dry before inserting back into the machine. At some point, they may have to be replaced though if used a ton. CONCLUSION: =================== I have tried 3 different cordless vacuum systems including this one. This unit is definite my favorite. The best selling point is getting 2 batteries though at the price point it's selling at, that may be why the price is so high. The other vacuums were a bit cheaper but came with only 1 battery or a single built-in battery that couldn't be swapped out (only charged inside the unit). The other great feature is the number of attachments/nozzles (5) and the ability to house 4 of them easily if the stand is used (see pictures). The base is extremely solid so it won't fall over, and the colors are nice (gray/silver) and can pretty much fit in anywhere. The overall design is well thought out and should be very comparable or better than its competitors. A little more suction would be nice in standard mode, but overall a great product. Great job, LG!

I had literally waited for quite some time, about 6 to 8 weeks, to receive this LG - Cord Zero Bagless Cordless Handheld/Stick vacuum in matte red and it literally was delivered on Christmas Eve. So, as busy as I was with the holidays, I just put it aside until I had time to put it through its paces. Overall, I really like this cordless vacuum because it comes with a stand that the vacuum attaches to and you have the ability to either anchor it to your wall or it can be freestanding in any location that you wish to put it. In fact, I currently have it located in my master closet sitting on the floor plugged into the electrical outlet. You see, all of these cordless vacuums are very top heavy since the motor and the collection cup are located at the top and unless you lean or stand them up against a wall, or attach them to a wall-mounted bracket they will fall down. That has been a chief complaint of mine that these cordless units cannot self-stand. Many of them come with wall mounting brackets, but that is a forever placement decision since you would not want to be taking out the mounting screws to move the bracket and leave holes in your walls, even if they are inside your closets. So, with this standing station, I can move everything to my utility room that has an interior outlet ready for charging, my coat closet that has an interior electric outlet, or for that matter my office and have it stand and charge at the same time. Another bonus is that this cordless vacuum comes with two batteries so that when one runs out of juice the other one can be inserted without too much interruption. The standing device has a place for the second battery to be stowed away in and charge, as well as, as area for the 2 attachments that come with it and nozzle storage if you would want to detach the nozzle and leave it stored that way. While I am not a midget nor overly tall, I am 5;7" tall and this wand is both retractable and expandable for whoever the user in a home or office might be to find their sweet spot, the length that they find most comfortable to be vacuum the most effective and efficient at. Even though I have high end vacuums, I cannot remember having one that has an adjustable barrel, that is very cool. The box and all of the literature associated with this machine state that there is up to 80 minutes of runtime because of the 2 batteries that come with this unit. So, it states that if left in turbo mode, one battery will run this for about 6 minutes. I turned it on turbo mode, left it in the closet to run and it did go that long. The less you push it, the longer a battery will run-about 9 minutes for power mode and 30 minutes for normal mode. This manufacturer does a good job to help the new owner with lots of instructions by including a full-fledged owner's manual, not that piece of paper with pictures. In addition to that, LG also includes a plastic-laminated card with a push button on/off type of cap that on one side, has CordZero A9 maintenance tips and on the other side, FAQ's all at the user's fingertips. LG has also included an additional filter and explicit directions on how to clean and replace it. This is an expensive unit, but I really like all of these extras that they have added and I find that it vacuums very well on all types of surfaces-hard, deep carpet pile, and area rugs placed on top of the hardwoods and the carpet. I have dogs and this cleans up that situation very well, too. It touts a .1 gallon dust cup bin, but I have a large, multi-level home and because it does lift off dirt and debris well, it does need to be emptied more frequently then corded vacuums. However, the ease that you can do stairs, ceiling fans, crown molding, your car is well worth the trade off.

Meets or exceeds the standards for handheld vacs

If you don't want to read a long review, I'll just say this: The LG CordZero is easy to use, lightweight, versatile, and well-crafted vacuum that can serve as the main vacuum for a whole house. With two batteries and multiple attachments, the CordZero is ready for most anything you can throw at it. It's an excellent vacuum for daily chores, and compares favorably to both other top-of-the-line handheld vacs and traditional uprights and canister vacs. Now for the long-winded comparisons... Cordless handheld stick vacs have several advantages when compared to traditional vacs: 1. They are cordless, and can go anywhere 2. They can be hung on a wall or easily stowed upright when not in use 3. They are (usually) light and maneuverable, with nothing to drag behind while using them. Using a cordless stick vac also presents several challenges: 1. They (usually) can't hold very much dirt compared to traditional vacs 2. Their batteries run out in 10-20 minutes and require hours of charging 3. They can't produce as much suction as traditional vacs The LG CordZero exemplifies the benefits and mitigates the challenges of switching to a cordless handheld vacuum, and stacks up nicely against the industry-leading big names, at least for relatively small houses. 1. Its capacity is fine for a whole house once-over or a "big job" like cleaning up spilled cereal, etc. And honestly, it's easy enough to empty that you won't even notice that the capacity is smaller than a traditional vacuum. I don't empty my traditional vac every time I use it, but emptying it is also twice as hard. 2. It comes with TWO batteries, each of which lasts something like 30 minutes on low power, providing enough power for whatever life throws at it. And swapping batteries is easy and fast. One charges in a separate compartment of the docking station while the other runs the vac or charges attached. 3. Although it doesn't suck as hard as a traditional vac, it does provide power from the battery to the brush head to make up for it. The powered brush head does an excellent job of picking up debris on rugs and carpet and even getting deep-down dirt loosened up and cleaned up. 4. It *is* light and easily maneuverable. So easy a 10 year-old can do the job for the half-hour or so required. 5. Its charging station can be hung on a wall or set up for free-standing operation, can charge both batteries at once and has overcharge protection to keep the batteries topped up and nothing more. 6. It's easy enough to use that it will see much more daily use than the Dyson canister vac it's replaced. Dragging that thing out and around the house is a chore, while the CordZero does every bit as good a job and is so easy and available that my house will be vacuumed more often than before! As a current and former user of Dyson uprights, canister vacs and stick vacs, I can tell you I am in love with the LG CordZero vac. I'll relegate my old Dyson canister vac to the garage for cleaning out air purifier filters and the occasional car rug deep clean, and keep the CordZero in the house for everyday use. The only drawbacks I've experienced in a month of use is that emptying the canister requires you to reposition your hands and hold it differently than when you're using it, there's no place to hang the "Power Punch Nozzle" that comes with the grey version of this vac, and this vacuum is priced at the high end of the market. But the canister emptying really isn't much of a quibble, the Power Punch nozzle can come out of a drawer when necessary. If you can afford it, this vacuum compares favorably to the similarly-priced Dyson v11, with twice the battery and a floor stand included.

I got this LG vacuum Christmas Eve and I have been using it in a non-stop cleaning frenzy ever since. I have been putting it through its paces and It is INCREDIBLE!!! The performance, the functionality and ease of use and how easy it is to store! The culmination of my cleaning frenzy was today with the final touch of putting away all my Christmas decorations in my house which left dust bunnies, synthetic pine needles, fake snow and glitter everywhere on my sofas and hard wood floors! It sucked it up like a boss and made clean up a 100 times easier than in the past (and fun). First the performance: I expected a lot due to the price point and it did not disappoint! I used it on all my wood and tile floors and it created a tight seal to the floor and gobbled dust, crumbs and dog hair with ease. I was also surprised how quiet it was for the power it produced. It’s not silent by any means but the level is minimal for the power and not annoying. It did not even scare my skittish dog! I really liked that it has three lengths that you can raise or lower the length of the vacuum for comfort, I am 6’1” and the longest setting is perfect for me. My wife is 5’2” and used the shortest length. It’s also so lightweight! My wife thought it was a little heavier than she expected but that was because I let her use it when it was fully extended for my height. After I shortened the vacuum length she said that was better and what she expected. I am super excited that I will never have to use a broom again in my house. This LG Stick has made my broom obsolete!! After getting my floors done, I stored the vacuum shaft and turned it into a handheld vacuum! I moved on to the furniture. My unit came with a "power punch" nozzle that worked great on my sofas and door matts. After cleaning floors and furniture. I scanned around for other things to clean and then it dawned on my how easy and great this vacuum would do in my car! I was amazed how easy and functional attaching the shaft and the different vacuuming accessories was. I changed out the hard floor head for the small "2 in 1 bristle brush" and "crevice tool". Again the design of this unit is so functional and just easy to use that I didn’t get upset or frustrated when I needed to switch out the "bristle brush" for the "power punch" head ect and back and forth. It’s just click and pull and seat and you're done! Well done LG!!! NOTE: The 2 in 1 bristle brush is a two part tool. One part is a hard edge where the bristles are retracted to allow the hard plastic edge to do it's job. If you want the soft bristle parts to dust your car's dash board you need to click the button to extend the bristles away from the hard crevice edge. Examine it and you will see what I mean. So back to the car, hand held, no power-cord, light weight, not annoyingly loud and the incredible power allowed me to vacuum the floors the seats, the trunk! I actually giggled with just how easy and small and easy to hold and clean and how well it got my car clean! I then did my wife’s car. Just amazing! After the cars were done, I scanned again and saw just how much dust was on my wooden blinds. Boom hit the blinds. It did a great job but my blinds were pretty caked with years of dust and will need more than just a cursory pass although it was much better than before I vacuumed. I went on to do air-duct returns, vents and ceiling fan blades and just could not be happier with this vacuum! I love being able to remove the vacuum shaft and use it as a handheld duster with the bristle tool. I dusted my model cars and the top of a book shelf as well (see picture). Amazing. The storage system LG worked out to store this unit is brilliant as well. You can wall mount it which I chose not to do because I liked the stand so much or put all the heads into a compact sturdy beautiful stand. It has a place for all the heads with the exception of the power punch nozzle. Bummer, but there is really no room on the stand itself so I’ll just keep it next to my carpet vacuum. There is an optional sleeve that goes on the stand which allows you to keep the “carpet head” stored on when you are using the hard floor head. Note: This is a stick vacuum and not designed to do medium to high pile carpet. I tried it out on a medium pile (.5”) and it vacuumed debris just fine but the bagless debris holder and head footprint is not very big on a stick vacuum. For large carpeted rooms a person still needs a full size vacuum designed to do those types of rooms. Again, a spot clean up on such carpeted areas with this vacuum is ok but this stick vacuum or any stick vacuum is not designed for that. Just fyi. Emptying the vacuum is a breeze as well and I really like that it has a turbo feature when needed. It comes with two batteries which is awesome. One battery charges in the stand and the other charges when you return the vacuum to the stand. As far as battery life, I depleted the charge on one battery the first day when I was running around like a mad person vacuuming everything I could think of. I just went to the stand and swapped batteries and was back in business. Since the first day, all my normal day to day cleaning and dusting did not deplete the battery. In conclusion, I really Love this vacuum!!! It’s so versatile and fun to use and does such a great job. The quality of the design and the sturdiness of the unit itself is quality through and through. I have an LG washer and dryer which I love, an LG sound bar which I love and now I’m going to add this incredible vacuum to the list of LG love. LG is really bringing their “A” game. I love quality regardless of brand and don’t rely solely on a brand name but how you build a world class brand name is delivering the goods like this! Bravo. Also when you get your vacuum be sure to watch the LG set up video first and then read the instructions. It’s much easier to follow and set up after doing that.

I love how this vacuum has it's own stand to hold all of its attachments and batteries. It's extremely lightweight and the suction works very well. The only drawback is that in order to get a really strong suction, I have to use the turbo feature of the vacuum which drains the battery really quick. The vacuum only last 6 minutes with one charge when using the turbo feature. However if you use the normal power, the vacuum lasts for about 40 minutes for one charge. Thankfully it does come with 2 batteries so it can be easily interchanged. The vacuum is also super quiet which is an added plus.

I have been needing a new vacuum for a while and doing a lot of research on which one would have best for me and my cleaning needs. I have a decent amount of carpet and some hardwood flooring. I was debating between the Dyson and the LG stick vacuum and ultimately went with the LG while it was on sale. I fell IN LOVE with this vacuum. I really appreciate how quiet it is it deliver such a powerful clean at such a low sound. It’s so easy to carry around as well for stairs and mobile cleaning. I will say the battery does die pretty quickly if you have it in turbo mode but honestly you can vacuum up a lot without it being in turbo mode. Depending what attachments you’re using and if you are in turbo mode or not your battery time differentiates . You get two batteries in about 40 minutes each which is enough for me to be able to clean what I need to clean. The attachments feel nice and great quality ( especially for the price point). There are some maintenance that you do have to do with the vacuum on occasion but nothing to over the top for the modern technology. I’m pretty rigorous about my vacuuming but when I use the LG and I saw how much dirt it picked up in an area what I had recently vacuumed with my old vacuum ( a bissel) my jaw hit the floor!!!!! There was so much dirt. When I use this vacuum I can confidently say that my floors are clean. Period.

My first and recent purchases from Best Buy from start to finish was efficiently done.. The LG Cordzero is more than I expected.. This vaccum is very easy to use as it is light in weight and maneuvers in, around and under furniture with ease. I was amazed at the suction of the low speed on bare floors and the power of the high speed on carpeting which took care of cat and dog fur that I could not see. This is my first month using the vacuum so I will have to wait on commenting on the reliability of the product.

I’ve had this for about a month now and I’m glad I bought it. I reviewed a lot of cordless stick vacuums and kept coming back to LG. It’s very light weight, attachments are easy to take on and off, and you do not have to hold down the power trigger to run it. You push the power button on and go. (Unlike some other brands where you have to keep hold on the power trigger) I also like the height adjustment as well. I’ve cleaned my house and also my car with it, with ease.

We love this vacuum cleaner. It is very well made. Solves the cord issue and dragging around a canister, plugging it in, unplugging it, moving it, etc. It's light, and it's really handy. Cleans very good. We went over carpeting, and it looks new! That you can see the container with what it has sucked in, is really awesome! Highly recommended, and the attachments as well.

So worth the purchase! I love this thing and it's so easy to use. It's especially helpful with cleaning up after my toddler. The ease of use, including the 2nd battery in its own charging dock, has ensured messes are getting cleaned up immediately and helps keep the pests away. Would 100% recommend.

We weren't sure about another LG product since our LG dishwasher stinks BUT this is a pretty good vacuum. The handle extension is nice, its great having 2 batteries so we can vacuum the entire house at one and the suction is pretty decent. We mainly needed it for quick vacuums and to clean around the litter box. It does the job.
