Good performance. Almost trouble free. Has built-in CD/DVD unit that seems a bit flimsy, but since these are rarely used, it's probably satisfactory. The price was very good. Rather than update my old computer from W7 to W10, it made sense, at the sale price, to just buy a new computer. An inexplicable omission is documentation. I realize detailed manuals are a thing of the past, but at minimum, a quick-start guide which provides a diagram labeling all the ports, front and rear, should have been supplied, or at least a specific online link provided. There is an online manual, but it is so generic that it isn't useful.

Previous HP was coming up on 8 years and showing its age. Originally purchased a cheaper one online but cancelled due to shipping issue in response to Corona. Went for a more expensive one here and picked up under new hands free delivery policies. Easy set up out of the box. Still exploring what it can do. Still need to transfer some files from old computer so will be exploring portable drives. Quiet and Fast!

With its SSD drive extremely fast. Boot is about 15 seconds with windows 10. All programs seem to run faster. However, there were some problems with CD player. I needed some assistance. Support was very good, but a mistake by one tech ruined boot up. They sent me an overnight box to return for repairs and it was back in a few days, all fixed with a reimaging of the OS and a part replacement. They back what they sell. Small footprint and light weight computer. Only disappointment was the DVD player will not play HD dvd discs, even with a third party download program, which I have used without problems on my past computers. However, I rarely use my computer for that purpose anyway. I am happy with computer’s performance and would have given it 5 stars except for problems listed above. I think the problems I had would be a very rare occurrence. I can recommend this computer with its reasonable price, performance and ready support from HP.

Purchased on 11/22/2019 replacing an older HP Desktop that was running about-to-be-retired Windows 7. Smaller size than my retired PC. Installed in minutes including transferring my paid subscription to the full Microsoft Office Suite. Has a number of USB 2 and USB 3 ports for external drives. Fast system with 19 Gbytes of memory and a 512 Gbyte solid state drive. I keep most of my on files off-line drives so don't use the internal drive as much. All I really need for a PC and hopefully will last for years to come.

After some research, I purchased this PC. The startup time is excellent; I think like 7-8 seconds? Fast and powerful system. This is a good computer to have and so far, I am quite happy with this purchase. The design is very sleek, there is DVD slot, tons of other ports available. Built-in AC Wifi adapter, which is great.

I purchased this computer during the holiday season of 2019 and have been enjoying it quite a bit, since. The i7 processor is fast and I really like the 16gb of RAM. The CPU is fast, the computer handles video editing very well, and comes with a pretty good sized 512gb SSD. Plenty of ports, small and compact design, etc. No complaints!

Desktop was easy to setup. System is quiet and fast. Seems like a high quality system at a reasonable price. I was disappointed with the flimsy keyboard and mouse that came with the desktop. Instead I use wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse. I'm also using Logitech speakers with the system. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Because of the 16 gigabytes of memory and the solid state drive coupled with the Intel Core i7 processor this is very fast computer. Additionally, it is very quiet and stays very cool. Another thing I really appreciate is that it came with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I highly recommend this computer.

Super fast, very quiet, reliable! I mean, I have no further words to describe how nice this machine is. I bought it for the house's use (since I have my own laptop) and now I don't want to stop using it. Be safe and wise out there. God bless y'all.

The machine boots up real quick compared to my older HP. SSD allows a much faster data access. Petty problems are the bay for the optical drive needs to be priced open with a pin (or finger nails) to gain access to the drive. There is no push button on the case. The wireless keyboard comes with built-in function on the top row and to use F keys you need to hold the function button down. Very easy to lock off the system as the lock key right on top of the minus key. I am an accountant and I work with numbers all the time. This has happened to me several times. Other wise a fast machine at very good price. I bought it when it was on sale. Using it for about 2 months now.

Finally, a desktop computer tower that doesn't need its own desk to hold. It sits nicely on my desk without being too cumbersome, looks nice, operates with fast and reliable, economic ease. I would recommend this computer to all!!

The best machine I have ever had! I love it! I love the Envy by HP. This baby is quick and powerful! Even though it comes in a smaller size case with a nice modern look, it is a little beast! You won't regret this purchase! My next will be a powerful HP Envy laptop!

One HDMI output and one vga output so don’t expect to able to use a second monitor at anything over 1920x1080. I had to get a VGA to HDMI converter( not an adapter. There’s is a difference) to plug into my HP monitor which does not have a VGA input. Why would it? Old technology so you would think this computer would have more options to go to two monitors. Also, it has 180w power supply. So if you want to install a video graphics card in one of the spacious expansion bays, you will be limited on options. The mother board is set up to accept only proprietary powers supply from HP and wouldn’t you know it, they only have up to 400 watt supply. So don’t expect to be able to put any thing recent from NVIDIA be you need 450w to 600w for most of their cards.... very disappointed in this. I was able to upgrade from 16 to 32gb ram with ease. From a performance perspective, I have been able to handle Adobe Photoshop with no problems. Premier pro lags a little but you can work around it by editing with proxy files. The UHD 630 integrated GPU is not listed as approved hardware on Adobe’s website so I would not recommend this computer if you want to do any video editing.

Originally purchased an HP Envy AMD Ryzen 3 with 8GB memory, but upon setup, found less than 6GB was available. I called HP support asking if the memory was expandable and was told that it wouldn't be simply "plug and play". I immediately chatted with Best Buy support and they not only recommended this PC, but even sent a link for compatible memory modules for future consideration. I might never need the extra memory. After setup, I found my 16GB has 15.8GB available - a huge improvement over the AMD model. Testing the capabilities, I was able to cut and paste a huge Excel spreadsheet into memory without having to break it into sections. I'm finding this to be perfect for the family who has both home and office requirements.

Bought this when my 2014 laptop decided to stop working right at the age of online learning in March 2020. I still can not get over how FAST this desktop is and it’s ability to have a lot of programs open at the same time! It does make sound but I find it comforting and better than total silence. Mainly use it for homework but it can handle some light gaming. The bad features about this desktop is that it It has a small power button that I’ve noticed that people with large fingers have trouble turning it on. The keyboard that it comes with it is great but the mouse takes some time getting used to. It felts too flat and it hurt my wrist/hands since I’ve started using it. I’ve also noticed that While on WiFi it randomly disconnects or says no Wi-Fi. However, it doesn’t have that problem while connected to Ethernet cable. Overall, I love the desktop! Fast, handles large amounts of work and stylish!

Impressed with the speed, performance, and looks of this unit. My first HP unit and will now look at purchasing a laptop as well. The unit is so quiet that I sometime have to look a power light to make sure it is active. I have had the unit for almost a month. So far no issues.

I originally wanted to get a different tower. It waa still an HP but didn't have as much space and cost less than this one. The one I planned to get was sold out everywhere (Thanks Covid19) so I had to do some more looking around. I found this one and it was a bit more than I wanted to spend but it was the closest to the one I originally wanted but was actually better! So far it was exceeded my expectations and has proven itself to be a beast! Its crazy fast, looks sleek and had a ton of space! Everything I need is built right in! I've always loved HP products and this tower is a great example of why! I highly recommend getting this tower for anyone interested in an HP desktop!

I am in LOVE with this computer, it is fast, first time having a solid state drive, and the difference is AMAZING!! No more little circle spinning endlessly, waiting for a page to load, one click, and your there, YIPPEE!! I would have given 5 stars, BUT couldn't, due to the fact, that the Microsoft Updates, would NOT install correctly, and ended up, messing up my entire computer, making it unusable. I had to pay 99.99, for the Geek Squad to fix this issue. Paying all most 900.00, just for the tower, I don't feel this is fair at all, so that is why only 4 stars, not 5. Besides that HUGE hiccup, I am satisfied with everything else, about my new computer, she is quiet, fast, and has 16GB of memory! Playing my games, is so FUN, and entertaining, doing emails, what ever my little heart desires! I am going to contact HP, though and ask why they make the power button, so HARD to use, you have to stick your finger nail, in there, just right, to turn the computer on, no excuse for this. That is the only thing I really dislike, along with the Microsoft Updates, the rest is heaven!

Originally purchased an HP Pavilion from another store but knew right away that it wasn't the right machine for me. For starters it was shipped in something that looked like a farmers produce box (maybe this gives away who sold it) and it has some other issues. Anyway, they had a good return policy so I quickly returned it. Knew that I would go back to Best Buy for my next machine as I have been a long time customer and should have stayed with Best Buy on this one from the start. This one was on sale and curbside pickup was easy. It's fast and quieter than the above mentioned Pavilion. Also, the packaging was all manufacturer packing which made me feel more comfortable with the purchase. Not giving a rating on quality as I haven't had it long but the first impression is good.
