This Laptop is a good purchase for anyone looking for basic functions. Looking at websites, basic excel or word documents.
The speed is average, while the screen size is practical for browsing and looking at small documents.
If you are looking for something to use for school, working at home, or more complex functions, such as reviewing large spreadsheets, presentations, or large word documents, then you should look at something with a larger screen, and more powerful processor.

I had to buy a computer quickly so that my husband and myself could work from home. I decided on a laptop since we already had a desktop. This little
Laptop has been perfect for all the different things I have needed it to do. I have been working through Remote Desktop and I have not had any issues. It has also done fantastic on videoconferencing also. I have no regrets about buying this computer.

I have this laptop for almost 10 month. By spending some time to writing this review, I want to thanks the people who build it
Hard Drive: I wanted to buy a laptop with 500 GB or 1 T memory but I was wrong. with online clouds these days, there is not safe to keep eveything in my laptop drive, I can have external drive or cloud for my data, so 128GB in this is providung enough space for installed progams to run.
TouchScheen + Keyboard and Mouse make it more easier to work with it.
Battery: Long lasting the charge on this laptop make it highly trustable for me to have it away without charge cable, I never feel pressure. I always keep it plugin , but with out its charge cable , still it is running to the last persentage of its charge, it never turning off sudenly.
and
I use my laptop for office work and watching online streaming.

This laptop is so fast & easy to use! After having an Acer Aspire 3, the upgrade in processor, memory & a solid state drive all make the speed & ease of use so insanely amazing! Add to it a touch screen & I’m able to work AND play with so much time & frustration saved. It’s awesome!!

I bought this laptop to run the office suite, but have been incredibly impressed by how far I have been able to push this machine. Runs very smoothly and quickly even with a lot running at once. Fantastic value especially when on sale (which it seems to be frequently)

This Laptop has served us well and still going strong for our purposes. We mostly use it for online schooling, the Office Suite, video chat, and low end web design for some sites that we have. All I can say is so far so good! Very happy with the purchase.

I bought this Dell laptop for my mom for Mother's Day and she loves it! She's not that tech savvy with computers, so having the touch screen as an option makes her life easier since she's more used to tablets like iPads! Definitely recommend, especially for the price that it's for.

I bought this for college and its been great so far. It does everything I need it to. It will even run a game or two. Master Chief Collection ran fine, for instance. The screen isnt the best far as resolution but it makes up for that in touchscreen functionality. Great starter laptop.

The amount of performance and PC for dollar is positively amazing! We also purchased the Intel variant and it has numerous problems. Get the Amd version!
Works great with Windows 10 pro installed. The touch screen is such a nice bonus on an affordable laptop.

This is my first laptop, so I have nothing to compare it to. I was looking for a lower priced laptop for surfing the internet and paying bills. The Dell Inspiron met all of my qualifications and has performed flawlessly so far. Thank you Dell and Best Buy!

Working at home now so needed a new laptop since my old one was about to die. Set up was easy, the computer was ready to use in less than 20 mins. Way faster than my other laptop.
I am on my computer for 8 hours a day and so far I have been very pleased.

I enjoy this laptop! Because it was a hard drive, I swapped it for an SSD at MicroCenter for about 20 bucks. It has an M.2 NvME slot for an even faster performance! I enjoy this product because of both the touch screen and the backlit keyboard. The only issue that I have is the screen is not great for the outdoors. It doesn't feel very bright in an office environment, but it feels like it's super bright at night. I like that it has a 1080 resolution, unlike the common 1366x768 resolution you see in many other laptops (watch out for that). It has a numeric keyboard and 2 USB 3.0 ports. I upgraded my RAM to 20 gigs and added an M.2 SSD to boost the performance. It has WiFi 5 (802.11 AC).

Solid on specs, but not a great screen

It's hard to argue this is a decent PC for the price, even with Dell's proprietary history regarding replacement parts. The specs are good and in limited use it has performed well and runs quiet. The keyboard and 10-key numeric is just slightly smaller than a stock PC keyboard, it's about 5% smaller. On the 10-key this is enough to be annoying.
My issue is with the screen, it's very undersaturated. I have a 7 year old HP laptop Pavilion which has been endlessly used and the display puts the Dell to shame in vibrancy and color. This is also true for some old Acer monitors that I have been using forever. Bottomline Dell had to skimp somewhere, and they really skimped in the display. It's not terrible, don't get me wrong, and you won't notice it in the store! Where you will notice it is if you are work with images movies or graphic design, it falls WAY short of most traditional monitors and even an old HP laptop which had a great display. This Dell does have a HDMI port so you can port the screen out to a big better monitor if you like.
Again most people will not notice, but if you like colorful saturated images this screen ain't gonna do it for you. Trust me I compared it side by side to a couple screens here in my office, the Dell is the newest but weakest machine. If you are just doing email and spreadsheets, Facebook and an occasional photo this machine will do fine for you. But if you work with images often you aren't going to be satisfied. The display is very sharp, it's a color issue and there are no color settings to correct this (I looked). If you hook up an external monitor, there are some color profiles you can modify within Windows but it's limited. l
If the built in display is adequate for you then this is a solid performing machine, even more so if you grab it on sale like I did. Hope this helps someone.

Keith2020,
Thanks for your review. We're sorry that the colors on your screen were not what you were hoping they would be. We'd recommend reading the following article to see if this helps improve the color for you: https://dell.to/2CLF6yC.
