Although it is a bit on the pricey side, this speaker is definitely worth the money if you're looking for a portable bluetooth speaker. The sound quality is fantastic. I guess the adaptive EQ is good because it always seems to sound great whether indoors or outdoors. The bass is produces is also great. I can't really attest to the battery life since we use it so infrequently that it's always dead when we go to use it. I'm talking like months in between uses. I would imagine the battery holds up fairly well for daily use. A cool feature is being able to pair two phones to it, so you can switch between users with the touch of a button on the speaker or in the app. My only compliant would be that it could get a little bit louder. Don't get me wrong, it gets fairly loud, but I like playing music at extreme volumes sometimes. I compared this to a JBL model of similar price and didn't really care for the look of the JBL model. Ultimately, I am happy with my purchase.

If a speaker is judged by the number of noise complaints you get, then the UE Hyperboom is a good one. I really like this speaker. The bass can shake the walls, but I felt the highs and the mid-range sounds still came through well. The speaker is meant for the party. It has a USB port built-in to charge your wireless devices. It charged my phone with the speaker not even on. I charged the speaker the first night I had it, and since then, I haven't had to charge it even with pretty consistent daily usage. UE claim this speaker gets 24 hour battery life, and I believe it. Connecting to two smart phones via Bluetooth is as easy as a button press. The aux and optical connections are simple and work well. If I had a complaint with the included connections, I wish I could do more with the USB port. As it is, that port is only to power devices and doesn't allow you to say transfer mp3s via USB or hook up to a PC or laptop for audio playback. Minor quibble, but could be useful info for some folks. From the ultimate ears app, you can set your EQ settings. With adaptive EQ, the sliders will adjust a bit to match the space. You can also manually adjust sliders or place in heavy bass, normal, or cinema modes. The app experience worked well, but isn't perfect. I couldn't get Amazon music to work correctly with the quick play feature, but Spotify worked well. I really like this speaker. In general, I have enjoyed my products from UE. They sound great and feel built to last. Easily recommend to folks looking for a speaker that sounds as good at a pool as it does in your bedroom.

It’s really loud! We’ve only had it for about a month and still sounds great! The battery last pretty long too. There’s an app that goes with the speaker and you are able to adjust the sound which I think is super helpful especially if you like listening to your music with more bass. It’s slightly heavy compared to other speakers I’ve had.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Hyper Boom speaker, and let me tell you, it's nothing short of amazing. This speaker truly delivers on its promise of exceptional sound quality, equality, and bass that will blow your mind. One of the standout features of the Hyper Boom is its battery life. I was absolutely astonished by how long this speaker can keep the music playing. It's no exaggeration to say that you can literally play music for three days straight without needing to recharge. This level of endurance is unheard of in the world of portable speakers, making it an ideal companion for those extended gatherings or outdoor adventures where you want to keep the tunes going. Now, let's talk about the sound quality. The Hyper Boom is in a league of its own when it comes to delivering crystal-clear audio. The equality in sound reproduction is something to be appreciated, ensuring that every instrument and vocal shines through with remarkable clarity. But what truly sets this speaker apart is its bass performance. The bass is deep, powerful, and thumping, adding a whole new dimension to your music listening experience. Whether you're into EDM, hip-hop, or any genre that relies on bass, you'll be more than impressed. What's also worth mentioning is that I bought this speaker based on a recommendation, and I must say, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It's a 100% winner in my book. The Hyper Boom ticks all the boxes - exceptional sound quality, mind-blowing bass, and a battery life that's unmatched in the industry. It's not just a speaker; it's a portable party powerhouse. Don't miss out on this gem if you're in the market for a top-tier speaker that delivers on all fronts.

I wouldn't call myself an audiophile by any means, but I tend to collect Bluetooth speakers for some reason. At this moment, the UE Hyperboom is my absolute favorite. As you open the box, you can tell you're in for a treat. This speaker is big and it's heavy weighing in at a whopping 13 pounds. Inside the box, you'll find the basics. You get a speaker, a charger, and an instruction manual. Setup is straightforward. Simply turn the speaker on and connect via Bluetooth to your phone or whatever other compatible device you so choose. You can connect the Hyperboom to four devices at once (two via Bluetooth, one via auxiliary, and one via optical input) and very conveniently change between devices with the source buttons on the top of the speaker. Speaking of inputs, it was really slick of UE to include an optical input on this thing so you can use this as a "sound bar" for your TV. There's one USB-A port on the back of the speaker that allows you to charge pretty much any electronic device. This is a must for any party speaker if you're out at the pool or lake and need some extra juice for your phone. The two things I love most about this speaker are its sound quality and the UE app. Something I tend to see a lot of is speakers claiming to be for parties, but their sound quality diminishes with an increase in volume. The Hyperboom does not have this problem. Even at maximum volume, I never notice any distortion in sound quality. The adaptive EQ keeps everything in balance. The Hyperboom deserves the title it was given. UE's app is also great because it's simple and easy to use. While you don't need the app to use this or any UE speaker, it just enhances your experience. You can power the Hyperboom on and off with the UE app. That is SO cool. Let's say you're across the room at your party and can't easily get to the speaker to start some jams. No worries, you can power on and roll as long as you're in range. The app also shows your battery level (can also be checked by tapping the volume + and - buttons at the same time on the speaker) and allows you to pair up (party up) to any Boom, Megaboom, or another Hyperboom. According to UE, you can pair 150+ speakers at once...can you even imagine? That's a YouTube video I'd like to watch. Anyway, the UE Hyperboom does come with a premium price tag, but that's because you're getting a premium product with incredible sound quality and some bells and whistles too. With summer fast approaching, this is a speaker I'd highly recommend you pick up in preparation for all the time you're about to spend outside.

Its sleek design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, making it a perfect addition to any indoor or outdoor setting. Sounds good, nice highs and was amazed how good the bass sounds for its size. Also glad your able to mess with a eq to change the sound and works as a surround sound speaker. Perfect size and a portable battery powered speaker. Ive been a fan of the ultimate ears brand. Own the wonderboom, megablast and now the hyperboom

I'm a fan of the UE speaker lineup... coming from a MegaBlast, I just had to get the latest one since I LOVE the MegaBlast... I also have a Sonos Move to compare this one too. While this is a "portable" speaker, it does have a bit weigh to it. Though, there's an built-in handle... I found the flap cover for the charging port/optical, very flimsy. It doesn't really stay put if you have it detached often. I have used this a few times in a warehouse setting with a lot of background noise and it performs amazingly. VERY GOOD BASS with loud treble makes this one of the BEST big speaker I have ever used. The Sonos Move doesn't really compare in the same environment settings. Battery life is middle of the pack at full volume about 2 hours of use, it'll drain by 35-40% compared to the Sonos Move which would use up to 70%. The one thing the Hyperboom does better than the competition in it's class is the ability to be used as a soundbar since it lacks any smart assistant capability. If you're invested into the UE speaker ecosystem and want a party speaker with money to spare... I would recommend this very dual threat speaker. Size comparison is.... Move H - 9.5" L - 6.25" W - 5.5" Hyperboom H - 14.5" L - 7.5" W - 7"

An incredible speaker from UE. This speaker has impressed me from the moment I first switched it on. The sound quality is superb with excellent clarity in all areas. Out of the box the bass may be somewhat lacking if you are looking for deep bass you can feel but with the use of the equalizer in the UE app you can easily fix this and give this speaker some serious bass. The design of the speaker is great for filling rooms as the drivers point in two directions allowing for a better distribution of sound. You can also place it in a corner to increase the bass even further. I would say this speaker is better suited for indoor use as it doesnt seem to do the greatest job at filling large outdoor spaces if you need it to be loud from far away. However, for just projecting sound over a large area the speaker certainly doesnt struggle. Another feature of the speaker that is very welcome is that the wattage output does not change when it is on battery power or plugged in, meaning you get the same volume and sound no matter how you use it. Battery life is excellent as well. The partyup feature works well and if you have two Hyperbooms you can make them into a stereo pair which sounds amazing. One minor gripe i have had with the speaker is that sometimes when pressing the power on button it will briefly turn on only to turn off again and not respond for a few seconds and then work fine after that, although this hasn't been happening recently. Overall well worth the albeit expensive price tag if you are after a great balance between sound quality and portability!

Do yourself a favor and go and listen for yourself before buying speakers. Like shoes, you don't know until you try them on. I've listened to dozens of videos online, read hundreds of reviews. And it doesn't matter what kind of microphone the reviewer is using and what kind of headphones you have, it is NOT the same as listening to a speaker in person and can even be different in YOUR environment and using YOUR device(s). I have returned 2 other different brands to the store before I brought the Hyperboom home after listening to it in store. For me, it has clarity and detail beyond anything I was expecting from a portable speaker. From Music of the Night to BB King to Tool, it is impressive. It will play loud but not extremely loud. I would not use it in a large backyard for parties, it's not a PA speaker that blares out music over a football field. That's not what it does or was meant to do. But on a patio in a 50' x 100' backyard, it works great. Put it in your home and it will fill it with with crystal clear sound that is truly impressive. And yes, if possible, place it in a corner of the room with the rear against a wall and the bass goes to another level. The Hyperboom doesn't clip, distort or muddy up at high levels but also plays well at lower levels. I highly recommend it from my personal experience, try it for yourself. If you are willing to pay for clarity and detail, you will have it.

This is the best sounding portable blue tooth speaker I've heard. The price is a little steep at $400, but it blows away the $600 Bose and all others I've listened to. The bass is also astounding. Crystal clear highs and rich bass fill the room without sounding loud. I highly recommend this speaker to anyone looking for an awesome sound or of a small footprint. I'm really impressed.

This thing is incredible. Could not be happier with this purchase. I originally bought a MegaBlast because I didn’t want to spend the extra money. I quickly realized I made a mistake. A friend of mine had the Hyperboom and every time we hung out, I found myself unsatisfied with my speaker. This speaker is worth every penny. The sound quality, bass level, battery life, volume, you name it. It’s awesome.

This is the largest bluetooth speaker I have owned. Plenty loud and plenty of bass when you want it. I like the fact that it has two sides with a woofer and tweeter which helps spread the sound throughout the room, instead of speakers facing one direction like most other units. Good battery life and easy, reliable bluetooth connection. A tad on the pricey side but worth it in my opinion.

Couldn't decide between this and the boombox 2 from JBL. I bought both and used them for a week. The Hyperboom has much better sounds. At first, I loved the portability of the JBL , but I grew quickly to love the Hyperboom for it's shape. The Hyperboom takes up very little space and looks premium. Combine this with a much cheaper price, and you have no reason to look elsewhere.

The Hyperboom is the best quality bluetooth speaker I’ve ever owned. It’s incredible for gatherings out in public, small get togethers indoors and the perfect party box. The highs are extremely vivid the lows are most definitely the lowest you can get from a speaker of this size and the mids are on point. It’s very loud when you need it to be for parties and the perfect background player for chill and relaxing kind of days. AND the battery life is fantastic! The best out on the market by far and the best $400 plus dollars I’ve spent on a speaker. Most certainly would recommend this to anyone looking for the best all around speaker!

We have been using this hooked up to a record player. It sounds real nice. We never intended to travel with it. But recently took it to a friends house to have outdoor music out a BBQ. It functioned great, not having to worry about water from the pool was a nice piece of mind. The bass really pumps.

Has a good sound and for the size very well rounded. Bass is there and the app allows you to adjust to your taste. For size, sound, and usage time of speaker more then worth the money. When using make sure to turn off eq as it does distort bass when used with app eq.

I give this device an unconditional 5 Stars. Wow, just wow. I'm a bit of a tech power user and have many, MANY (he says a bit embarrassed) Bluetooth speakers. I love these things. This is by far the best one I own. Period. It is simple to connect to a phone or system, responds quickly to commands, and reproduces an amazing sound quality. And if you're looking for volume, it has it in spades. I'm also finicky about the sound quality. Bass is deep and fully present while the high end is still crisp and clear. The eq let me tweak things to my liking as well. If you have a chance to own a Hyperboom...do it. You won't regret it. I'm actually considering getting a second one, you know, since they work together to produce even MORE surround sound :D
