Overall a solid case. Drop protection is a little on the lower side. More for functionality. Keyboard works well, holds the Apple Pencil well. Had to get the 1st one replaced as the keys stopped working after about 6 months. Geek squad replacement to save the day! Super easy to use! Just put it over the iPad and bam, ready to go!

Works perfectly with my iPad Pro, it does everything as advertised and so far no problems at all it connects automatically when it’s docked with the keyboard base, I love it. I tried out the other Logitech model for my iPad but wasn’t a fan of the faux fabric on the key pad, only key difference beyond that was this one’s lack of a track pad but the screen is touch so not a deal breaker, also you could just learn the keyboard shortcuts to do mostly all the track pad functions.

Great folio and keyboard. Really like how opening up the folio and how it quickly and accurately connects to the keyboard and turns on my IPad. You can also close the folio very easy and secure the folio with its magnetic flap. You can also add an Apple design and drawing pen on top of your IPad for easy access and convenient storage.

My son spilled juice on the original keyboard and this is my second time buying this bluetooth keyboard. If you have an older iPad, this is the perfect bluetooth keyboard for you. It also protects your ipad in case you drop it by accident. The bluetooth connection from keyboard to iPad is seamless. As a bonus, (which I think is the best part), you can stick your apple pencil on the side and have the magnetic side cover, secure your pen. Some ipad covers, do not have this.

Good but heavy iPad keyboard case

I have owned numerous Logitech keyboards and mice, as well as the Logitech Type+ case for my old iPad Air 2. I really liked the Type+ case, and since I upgraded to an iPad Pro 11" several months ago I was eager to compare it to the new Slim Folio Pro case. In summary: This is another quality product from Logitech, but the extra bulk and weight mean I will probably not be using it much. The Good: Great keyboard feel for a small portable keyboard. Keys feel like good quality - I own several other bluetooth tablet keyboards from lesser-name brands, and while they all work fine they are more 'clacky'. Backlighting - love the backlit keys! You can turn off the lighting if you want. Dedicated iPad buttons - My previous Type+ keyboard case also had these, and I love them. You don't get these with generic bluetooth cases. Good protection - Compared to the more expensive Apple keyboard, this case provides much more drop protection. Very sturdy feel. Magnetic flap - I appreciate the large magnetic flap, which secures the case from flopping open. Pencil charging - You can charge an Apple pencil while the case is on. The magnetic flap will close over the pencil to secure it in place. There is also a sleeve on the inside of the flap that you can insert the pencil into - but if you do that, it will not charge because the sleeve holds the pencil too far from the iPad's edge. Does not draw power from iPad - I consider this a plus; the keyboard has its own battery that is charged by USB-C so you don't need a different cable. But, the batter adds weight. The Bad: Heavy - This case more than doubles the weight of an iPad Pro 11. In fact it feels like the iPad plus this case weigh as much as my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon. This case is heavier than the earlier Type+ case (552g vs. 430 g). Power and Volume Keys - The keys are obviously hidden by the case, but there are locations on the rubber that you can still press to activate power and volume. Unfortunately these spots are so subtly marked as to be almost invisible, and it is difficult to press them enough to activate the buttons. I've added some photos to illustrate how much this case increases the bulk of my iPad Pro 11. I set my iPad on a table next to my work laptop, a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (admitted a thin and small untrabook). One photo is the naked iPad; one photo is of the iPad in my normal case (a Zugu Muse case); the third photo is of the iPad in the Logitech Slim Folio case. Also photos of the buttons and the magnetic flap. In short, I like the functionality of the Logitech Slim Folio keyboard case, but the bulk and weight make it unlikely for me to use it on a daily basis. If I know I am headed for a day full or meetings and work, I might swap cases. Otherwise, I will be more likely to use my regular iPad case and carry a separate bluetooth keyboard - the combined weight will be the same or less. Last year I bought my mother an iPad Pro 12" with the Logitech Slim Combo case which has a magnetically removable keyboard, and thought that worked better since you can remove the keyboard when you won't be needing it. Logitech now makes a keyboard case for the iPad Pro 11 that works similarly (the Combo Touch), I have not tried that one yet but would recommend checking out both before purchasing, if you don't need the keyboard constantly I suspect the Combo Touch might be easier to live with.

    Another home run from Logitech

Everything that Logitech comes out with is a success. I’ve always been happy with all of the successful and creative products they introduce. This iPad cover is no exception. It is a nice, cost effective and easy to use solution. You can use this in several modes. You can use your iPad like a laptop at the kitchen table. You will find it has a magnetic location for the case to “fold” into so that it can be used in this way. Of course you can simple fold it behind and use it as a traditional iPad cover and not use the keyboard. Or you can do what they call “sketch mode” for doing writing and using the Apple Pencil. Pretty cool, plus it has a place to hold your Apple Pencil. I noticed it was already charged and ready to use out of the box, but did use the USB C connector to charge it up. It does have this advanced charging feature so that is pretty cool too. The info says a 3 month battery life, and I’m supposing that’s accurate based on their statement, as their other battery claims are always spot on. There is protection from the daily grind of using your iPad....not heavy duty waterproof type protection, but basic stuff. The beauty of this is that it has a great backlight, for the keys, which is cool, but that it has shortcut keys so you don’t have to keep pressing your screen and trying to type. Need the home screen? Press the button. Want to dim or brighten the keyboard backlight? Press the buttons. It’s got a row of shortcut keys along the top to make using this with an iPad more like a laptop. It takes a bit to get used to not touching your screen, but it comes quickly to you. If you want a way to use that iPad as a laptop, while still using it as a iPad, this is a great solution! I have never been disappointed with the solutions Logitech comes out with, and this is no exception.

    Great Keyboard; Mediocre iPad Case

If you are a heavy iPad user and need the ability to type comfortable for long periods, then the Logitech Slim Folio Pro might be the best choice available. As a keyboard, it delivers the best typing experience of any keyboard I’ve tried on the 11” iPad Pro. But there are definitely a few sacrifices to be aware of compared to slimmer keyboards and cases. PROS: - The keys have an excellent amount of travel and truly feel like laptop keys. The keys are a little cramped — especially on this 11” model — but that’s too be expected on almost all iPad keyboard. - The top row of the keyboard is dedicated to system shortcuts, like a Home button, search key, and volume up/down. This makes it easy to keep typing without having to reach up and touch the screen. - Battery life is excellent. Logitech claims 3 months on a single charge based on 2 hours of use per day. - The Apple Pencil still attaches perfectly atop the iPad even with this keyboard equipped. There’s even a stylus/pencil holder in the latch to secure your Apple Pencil while traveling. - There are two levels of keyboard backlighting and both are plenty bright. The backlight can be adjusted or turned off using two dedicated keys on the top row. CONS: - This keyboard is highly protective of your iPad, but it adds a considerable amount of bulk, especially compared to Apple’s own keyboard. It’s still portable, but it honestly seems thicker than most modern laptops when it’s closed. - Using this in keyboard/typing mode is a great experience, but the other two modes aren’t as great. “Sketch Mode” allows you to lay your iPad over the keyboard so you can use the Apple Pencil for writing or sketching. “Read Mode” allows you to fold the keyboard behind the iPad for use while reading or exclusive touchscreen use. Both of these modes are awkward to use since the case is so thick — it’s certainly not comfortable to hold either way. - The volume and sleep/wake buttons on the iPad are very hard to press through the keyboard case. - Battery life is great, but this does not use the iPad’s smart connector, so you’ll have to charge it separately. Luckily it uses USB-C, so you can use the same cable/charger that you use with your iPad. OVERALL: As a keyboard, the Logitech Slim Folio Pro is second to none — likely the best iPad Pro typing experience you’ll find on any keyboard. As a case or accessory, it leaves a lot to be desired. It’s protective, but very bulky. You will have to sacrifice quite a bit of what makes the iPad a “tablet” in order to get this excellent typing experience. For many business users like myself, that will be a worthwhile trade-off to get the most out of long typing sessions. Recommended!

Great iPad Pro Keyboard Case Folio

I’m actually writing this review using the Logitech Keyboard folio on my iPad Pro 11 Gen 1. The idea of using a keyboard for my iPad wasn’t a decision I made lightly. I’ve always enjoyed using my iPad as a different device from a laptop, but now, working from home due to COVID, I thought it would be a good idea to try it out and I’m honestly glad I did. First off, my main complaint about this version compared to the Slim Combo Folio for the iPad Pro 10.5 version is this version doesn’t allow the keyboard to detach like the older version. That means this keyboard folio uses Bluetooth instead of the iPad Pro’s Smart Connector. It’s rechargeable using a USB-C cable - but it’s also worth noting that it doesn’t come with one, I guess Logitech assumes you’ll use the USB-C cable that comes with your iPad Pro. Now, those gripes aside, this keyboard folio is actually a really nice experience. The keys are reasonably spaced apart, and the keyboard itself is backlit. I’ve actually enjoyed using this keyboard to read and respond to emails for work. The folio uses strong magnets to hold the screen up and in place while you type, and it also serves to activate the keyboard - meaning there’s no power switch to worry about. That’s a pretty nice feature, so I don’t have to worry about accidentally draining the battery. There’s also a locking flap that uses the magnets to keep the folio closed. It also has room in the flap to cover an Apple Pencil that’s attached to the side in charging mode. It should be obvious, but any keyboard folio case will add significant weight / bulk to a thin tablet like an iPad Pro. Honestly, I’m OK with that, because the case feels solid and sturdy and I feel like it’s more secure and protected. It’s also a cheaper alternative to Apple’s new floating keyboard design, which was great. Logitech makes great computer accessories, in fact, I use the Pebble Mouse with my iPad Pro as well and the Craft Keyboard and MX-Vertical Mouse with my iMac at home. If you are looking for a solid keyboard folio for an iPad Pro 11 Gen 1/Gen 2, then you should consider this Logitech Folio keyboard. It’s less than half the cost of the new fancy Apple one and works great.

The iPad Pro has slowly morphed from being a casual tablet to a full fledged laptop replacement and this product aims to completely remove any sort of last difference between the two products. As an old school (as in my iPad Pro) is older, I believe first generation I didn't know if this would work for me. For example, I have no USB-C connector (which is what this keyboard uses to recharge so I had to buy that from Amazon for $14) because my iPad Pro came with a lighting connector. Also my iPad says it's 10.5" and this case says it is 11" but guess what, fits my iPad Pro perfectly so it's not an issue for those of you who may be wondering about that difference. Anyways, how hard is this to get hooked up? Well about as easy as one can imagine. You slot your iPad down into the device, the keyboard light starts flashing, go to settings, Bluetooth and click on Logitech Folio Pro, you'll get a message to enter a few numbers such as 32760 on your keyboard (which took my brain a moment to process, what keyboard? oh THAT keyboard), I input the code into the keyboard and voila, it was all hooked up and working. The keys are a little smaller than a regular keyboard but on par with smaller laptops and they do light up. However they do not stay lit in order to conserve battery. Speaking of battery, this one supposedly gets 3 months of battery use before you have to charge it up again. That is considering about 2 hours of use per day. You charge the keyboard back up again by simply inserting your USB-C cable (that came with your iPad Pro, again if you have an old lightning type connector you'll need to buy this USB-C to USB-C cable) and then get it all back charged up again. I've not used this keyboard a lot but it seems pleasant enough to use for anything requiring data entry. This case does add some bulk to your iPad and I don't plan to use this all the time. I will use this when I go on the road and being on the road I think it's excellent to have a little more "armor" so to speak for my iPad Pro. I also appreciate the support for the Apple Pencil as well, the case has a nice little slot (see pic at top) for you to have your Apple Pencil along with you for whenever you need it. And speaking of which, there's 3 modes, keyboard (upright) mode, drawing mode (lying down) and reading mode (fully folded back for simple browsing). Most of the time I will be in keyboard mode I think, as will most who are using this in a laptop replacement fashion. I'd highly recommend this for you folks out there who are looking for a keyboard to pair with your iPad Pro and make it into a little laptop. Whether that is all the time or when you just go on the road. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I bought the Slim Folio Pro for my iPad Pro 2020 at the recommendation of a respected industry colleague who had the Apple case. In short, he recommended the Slim Folio Pro, instead, because it holds the Apple Pencil 2 more securely than the Apple case since it has a flap to protect the Pencil, especially when carrying it in a bag. I use this with the Apple Pencil 2 and the iPad/Pencil/Folio trio seemed to be made perfectly for one another. I never thought I would use a mobile device to replace a laptop, but I've used this more often than not in lieu of a laptop at customer datacenters as well as my own sites. I use it to take notes in meetings, now, and the keyboard is sooooo smooth (tactile feedback as well as key arrangement) that I can easily type as fast as I do on my full-size keyboard for my laptop (and I type at least as fast as I can read). This keyboard/case has *definitely* been a game changer. Battery life is staggering. I can't even estimate it. I charged it when I got it 7 months ago. I charged once shortly after that because I wondered if it was getting low (it wasn't). I'm so used to charging my electronics on an almost daily basis, at least, that it took some getting used to. I actually got online, today, to see if it might be charging wirelessly from the iPad, but apparently it just has an incredible battery life. Keep in mind that I use my keyboard A LOT, even as a convenient landscape orientation stand on my desk when I've got my iPad open watching for notifications or playing media or just using my iPad. It automatically saves battery when it's not magnetically attached to the iPad which is the only way I can imagine that it accomplishes this. However, I still have it open and have the iPad magnetically mounted to it a lot, so it's still very impressive to me. Apparently, it can be charged from the iPad using a USB-C to USB-C cable, but I haven't had a need to try that. Also, apparently, the light changes to a color other than green or white when the battery is low and other users have stated that it still has enough juice to keep them going until they get to a charger. My only complaints would be that: (1) I wish there was a more comfortable way to use the camera with the case on. There might be a good way, but I haven't figured it out. (2) I wish there was a way to monitor the battery life from the iPad. As I stated, earlier, the battery life is incredible, but just how far am I from getting low? (3) I wish there was a way to use the case as a stand in portrait orientation. (4) I wish there was an Escape key so that I don't accidentally exit my SSH application (Termius) when I'm editing a file on a server. I can switch back to the application with no harm done, but it's habit and slightly annoying. (5) I wish Roblox would let me play games on my portable device using the keyboard, but the Roblox app doesn't really seem to expect there to be a functional keyboard attached. Not Apple or Logitech's fault, but I see potential for better game play if Roblox would add this to their app. :)

    Excellent Keyboard and Priced Right

So I read a couple of reviews on this keyboard and decided to go ahead and purchase it. I want to preface this review with saying I have owned the apple keyboard folio case, which in my opinion, has a TERRIBLE typing experience. It was spongy and just not comfortable to use for extended periods of time. I considered the Apple’s “magic keyboard,” but could not justify spending $299...that is just crazy IMO. Now, enough about apple branded products, let’s talk about the benefits of the Logitech - Slim Folio Keyboard case. One of the biggest, if not the biggest, reason to purchase this keyboard case is the $119 price point. That is $60 less that the apple keyboard folio case and $180 less that the “magic” keyboard. That is a big deal to a lot of you and I know it was to me. Moving on to the typing experience. I wanted a keyboard case that provided an excellent typing experience. I am going to be using my iPad daily for school and work, so it was imperative to have an experience that provided comfortable for long-term use. This keyboard absolutely provides that. The keyboards have a great “clicky” feel, nice travel, and has 2 levels of backlighting which is a huge bonus. I want to also point out that there are shortcut keys on this keyboard (home button, backlight control, volume, pause, play, forward and back skip, lock screen, and battery indicator for the keyboard), unlike any apple branded option. I use these ALL the time and hated not having that option with the apple branded keyboards. The magnetic clamp is a nice addition and secures the Apple Pencil when you are on the go. No product is perfect, so let’s move on to the gripes I have with this product. First, it is a Bluetooth keyboard, so you have to charge it and it doesn’t take advantage of the apple pogo pins that are built into the iPad. Granted, you get up to 3 months of use before you have to charge it (depending on backlit use) and it is the same type-c charging port that is used to charge your iPad, but this is an inconvenience. Second, it is chunky. Logitech could have left out the “Slim” part in their naming of this product. Now some of you will like that it is bulky. It definitely provides great protection so it just depends on how you look at it and what your personal preferences are. Lastly, it is heavy when you are holding it in tablet mode and getting it out of the case isn’t seamless. It would have been nice of Logitech to incorporate a “detachable” design (something similar to the Microsoft Surface Pro experience). The iPad itself is light and I like using it outside of the case for reading and media consumption. This case does make it hard to do that consistently. Overall this keyboard is great for what I use it for. I hope this review helps some of you make the right choice, regardless if it is this product or something else. Cheers!

I have the predecessor Logitech Slim Folio Pro Keyboard Case for my iPad Pro 11”. The previous version from last year is identical to this new version, the only difference is the camera cutout that makes this model fits both iPad Pro 11” 1st and 2nd generation. Rugged and high quality, backlit keyboard with an option to adjust the brightness level. What I like is the keyboard offers three modes, typing, sketch and read and my favorite is the typing mode, is very responsive and smart just snap the iPad into the dock and will automatically activate the keyboard and turn off when the iPad Pro is removed from the dock with auto awake and sleep mode. USB-C port to charge which makes it convenient to charge both devices the iPad and the keyboard in a single cable. Apple pencil is still able to be magnetically attached on top space to charge. The keyboard latch is good to fold over to provide more protection to Apple pencil. Perfect keyboard and quality and offers wide IOS shortcuts.

This Slim Folio Pro Keyboard is the best keyboard/case I’ve ever owned. This is the second one I’ve owned. After years of good service with the first one, it was finally time to replace my case. It was a no-brainer to decide which one to get, I was just hoping Logitech was still making them. First off, the battery life is outstanding. I couldn’t even tell you how long each charge lasts because it’s months and months before it needs recharging, and I use it every single day. For me, the best feature of this case is the rubberized corners. They absorb a lot of shock. I dropped an iPad years ago, and of course it landed on its corner and spiderwebbed my screen. A similar accident with this case occurred and the rubber corner absorbed enough of the shock to prevent damage to my tablet. The keyboard is study and types and feels great. It’s setup exactly like the keyboards on the MacBooks. The keyboard is backlit which is great for poorly lit environments. There are a lot of options out there for iPad keyboard, but for functionality, performance and protection, you won’t find a better keyboard/case for the money

This keyboard is amazing. The battery life is phenomenal. I cannot recall the last time I have charged it. It paired so easily to the iPad. The keyboard is small but comfortable and the keys don’t stick. Only down side is it is snug and keeps popping up and bubbling my screen protector. Other than that, this product is a well deserved 5/5

Logitech Slim Folio PRO backlit keyboard There is no shortage of high-quality portable iPad Pro keyboards to choose from. I would firmly put this Logitech Slim Folio Pro in the top 3, along with Apple’s upcoming first party keyboard, and Brydge Pro’s third party offering. The Apple and Brydge Pro both include a coveted trackpad, but at considerable cost over this Logitech Pro’s barely triple figure price for both the 11-inch and 12.9 inch iPad Pro models since 2018. CONCLUSION ——————— This turned out to be a really solid offering that i have no qualms recommending quite strongly to anyone in the market for a high-quality backlit keyboard. PROS ______ + Easy Bluetooth pairing (enter 6 digits, done) + Backlit keyboard, awesome + Media keys for audio playback + iOS Shortcut buttons for Home, Dim, Search, Onscreen keyboard, Apple Music playback, Mute, Volume -/+, lock, Bluetooth, battery + Keys are nice and responsive, with acceptable travel + Strong Magnetic grip feels super sturdy + <Control-Space> pulls up Emoji keyboard CONS _______ -no trackpad like Brydge Pro or Apple branded pro keyboards -top function DIM button too easily turns off backlight -backlight turnoff is far too short, presumably to save battery life -spacebar or keyboard wake does not activate iPad screen (requires tap on both) -fixed 58 degree screen angle, prefer adjustable -no trackpad, would make this product awesome

There is no perfect keyboard case. But the Logitech is the perfect choice for me. First, the Apple keyboard cases are way too expensive. Second, after spending as much as I did for the iPad Pro, I wanted to make sure my case would provide solid protection. So while the Logitech is a tad heavy, trading a little extra weight for added protection was a no brained. Third, the keyboard had a great feel and sound and provides a row of special keys, which I really like. Finally, if you read the reviews you will see that the Logitech gets generally high rating, except that here and there some people find that after a while a key will stick or stop working. The good news is that the Best Buy protection is cheap insurance against that possibility.

I bought the folio pro keyboard case for my iPad Pro so that I would get protection for the iPad as well as have a great keyboard. Unlike the Apple magic keyboard, this case actually protects the iPad because it gets wrapped in all 4 corners by a simple rubber seal that holds the ipad firmly in place. Keyboard does NOT feature a trackpad or bigger pointing surface but not sure I need such a feature since it’s an iPad and has a touch surface already. I wanted a simple yet functional keyboard and case and this device does the trick for me. Note that this keyboard case, like all others does add a bit of weight to the iPad and makes it much thicker but I’m ok with that as it gives me the added features....
