The keyboard doesn’t do multiple languages well, I’ve had it for a few months and two of the number keys have fallen off. In addition I believe this model touts a three month charge capacity, depending on how much you use the keyboard it’s more like 7-10 Days. I’ll Spring for The magical apple One next time.

The Logitech - Slim Folio Pro Keyboard for the iPad Pro 12.9 inch is an outstanding keyboard. Logitech listened to what consumers had been asking for and designed this beauty. Pros: * Pairing - Pairing the keyboard to the iPad was quick and easy. Just follow a few short steps and you will be typing in no time. No complaints here. * Ergonomic feel with adequate spacing between the keys - One of my biggest complaints when using a keyboard designed for a tablet is the keys feel too close together. This results in me pressing the wrong keys and greatly decreases my productivity. Logitech did a great job spacing the keys out enough so this is not a problem. * Three use modes - The first mode is "type mode". It has a nice strong magnetic dock. I have absolutely no worries that it will come loose and slide out. The second mode is "read mode" with the case folding back on itself. Lastly, the case folds down into "sketch mode" leaving a slight incline which is great for taking notes with the Apple Pencil. I take a lot of notes and love the ergonomic feel. Overall, great design by Logitech. * Backlit keys - AMAZING! I frequently find myself working in a dark room late at night. Backlit keys are an absolute must and I am so happy Logitech decided to include them in their design. * Shortcut iOS keys - They are nice and convenient. I find myself using them frequently. The key logos are self explanatory. * Great protection - The keyboard case feels well made and sturdy. It is fairly lightweight and holds the iPad tightly. It also has a magnetic latch which holds the Apple Pencil in place. This is the only area of the case that I feel may be prone to failure with repeated use. So far it has been great. Time will tell. Overall, I feel confident that this will protect my iPad. * Long battery life and fast charging - Logitech claims a single charge can last up to 3 months. That is great! While I have not owned the keyboard that long, I am excited it will not need to be charged often. It does have an indicator that lets you know when it is low. It does not include a USB-C cable which was surprising but not a deal breaker. Cons: * None at this time. Overall, this is an outstanding keyboard at an amazing price. Logitech listened to what consumers wanted and made the perfect product. If you have an iPad Pro and are looking for a keyboard this is the one you want!

I think most folks buy a keyboard for their iPad Pro to increase productivity, and I feel that this is probably the best bang for your buck. Compared to the Apple Smart Keyboard, this is better in almost every way except for one. I had been using the Apple keyboard for about a year now, but then got this Logitech keyboard. I don’t think I will ever be going back to Apple’s keyboard. Connection - Bluetooth First, this is a Bluetooth keyboard so it is not using the smart connector pin on the iPad to connect. This is a good thing and a bad thing. Connecting/pairing takes one extra step since it’s Bluetooth. You need to go into the settings menu to get it paired, but once you’ve done that, it is ready to go as soon as you open the case and place it on the magnetic holder. So the pairing process is a tad more involved than if you were just using the smart connector, but just that once. The benefit to using the bluetooth is that you are not drawing power from your iPad to power the keyboard. This leaves your iPad battery open to just being used for the actual iPad, and thus, gives longer battery life for your iPad. The keyboard itself is supposed to last about 3 months on a charge and charges using a USBC cable. You can use the one that is included with your iPad Pro. I’ve only been using the Logitech keyboard for a couple of weeks, but it still shows green when you check the battery status. Convenience Secondly, this keyboard is way better to actually type on than Apple’s Smart Keyboard. The feel of the keys, the backlight, and the iOS shortcut row above the number row, all make it easier to get work done on my iPad. I have never understood why Apple does not include those shortcut keys on its own keyboards. This keyboard also gives you the option of laying it most of the way down, to have a nice angle to draw on the screen, as well as folding the entire keyboard back to read a document and just get the keyboard out of the way. Protection Protection is way better with this keyboard than with Apple’s. This one actually covers all of the corners of the iPad instead of just sticking to the back of the iPad with magnets. So this added protection does give one down side to the overall usage of the keyboard. It is heavier and bulkier than Apple’s. This might put some folks off, but it might make others feel like it’s more premium. Just know that the added bulk and heft is for a reason, more protection and added functionality. You also get the benefit of still having the slot open to charge your 2nd generation Apple Pencil, and as a bonus, the magnetic flap that secures the case closed also has a slot to make sure your Apple Pencil does not go anywhere. A little extra peace of mind. Improvements I do have a couple of things that I would love to see improved on their next iteration. First, I would love to actually see the battery percentage for the keyboard in the Battery Widget. The iPad, Apple Pencil, and some headphones already have their battery status in the widget. It would be nice to see the keyboard in there as well. The second would be if the next version included a track pad. I know that the Magic Keyboard has this already, but I cannot justify the price they are asking for the Magic Keyboard to get that one feature. I am a using this Logitech Keyboard along with the Logitech MX Anywhere 2s mouse. I had already purchased that mouse to use with my laptop so I just paired it with the iPad and it’s a great setup. I would whole heartedly recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for a keyboard for their iPad Pro. As a matter of fact, I would say to use this first before wasting time with any of the others on the market. It offers far more than what Apple has, at a much lower price.

I was thrilled to see that Logitech has again made the Keyboard Folio for the 2018/2020 iPad Pro 12.9. In all honesty, the only change was the enlargement of the camera slot in the back. Otherwise this is pretty much the same keyboard for the 2018 model, now you can utilize both iPad 12.9's. With that, it's easy to see that it is very LARGE and bulky, even as a "slim" design. I was able to interchange both my 2018 and 2020 iPad's to see how I like it. Pros: -Interchangeable iPad Pro's. This is how most companies SHOULD design their products where you can use the previous device and it can be interchangeable to the newer keyboard case. I really hate it that there is a design change for the iPad (or iPhone) where you can't use the previous cases and therefore have to spend more money on a new case. Here, Apple and Logitech (as well as the other companies with cases and screen protectors) stuck with the same dimensions and now can use the previous iPad and utilize the newer keyboard. -Camera Slot. This is the biggest (and only) change from the previous model is that the camera slot has been enlarged to fit the larger camera setup on the iPad Pro 2020. If you have the 2018 model, it will still work (thank you Apple and Logitech), it just looks funny -Rugged Feel. It has this nice rubber smooth and non-slip feel to it so you know when holding it or placed on a flat smooth surface, it is not going to slide. -Easy to setup. Bluetooth is easy to set up and pair with your iPad. No charging cable but you can use your USB-C cable from your iPad. Makes it easy on you, you only use 1 cable. -Converts easy enough in 3 modes: Type mode (traditional keyboard/screen set up for easy typing at a 58 degree angle), Sketch mode (laying it down to write), and Read mode (holding it like a book). It does not feel awkward at all despite the size and bulky nature. My daughter loves drawing and she's able to convert it easy and feels natural for her to draw in Sketch mode. I use that mode as well when writing notes. Also, there is a built in auto on/off feature. When you have it in Type mode, the keyboard does not automatically turn on and connect UNTIL you have it docked in that position. You will not have to worry about pressing a key when you are either trying to convert it to Dock mode. -Back lit keys: I love this feature since I do a lot of typing in bed at night. This should be the standard for all iPad/tablet keyboards and by far one of the best features on this keyboard. I've used Logitech keyboards for iPads in the past and was spoiled to the back lit keyboards on my laptops. -Key pressure: this is a treat because it does feel like a traditional keyboard. With distance learning now, my children have to type in their homework and classwork on the iPads. Even though this keyboard is slightly smaller compared to my 14" laptop, this size feels really natural for them. Even for me this keyboard has good travel and the typing experience is very good. The Logitech keys are nice where they do feel very traditional and since I'm a hard typer. -Apple Pencil 2nd Gen storage. Like the previous model, you can store your pencil in either two spots: directly on the iPad magnetically (where it charges) OR in the flap there is a slot for you to slide the pencil in and it WILL NOT charge. Before I felt this was a nuisance, but after using it for a year I really like this feature. So for the 2020 model, I'm glad they maintained the same design. I like utilizing both options and it is secured really well.you cannot stick it there. I also have the Logitech Crayon and you can slide it in the slot, but it just looks strange and you will end up stretching the rubber. -iOS short cuts. This is helpful for me, as I rarely use the function keys on any keyboard. I decided to practice more on this keyboard. Along the top you have your standard iOS short cuts. Starting from left to right: Home, Key Brightness, Search, Virtual Keyboard, Media Controls, Volume Controls, Screen on/off, Bluetooth connect, and Battery Check. -Battery Life. Logitech measured a 3 month battery life based on 2 hours of typing per day. That's accurate as we utilize it daily for about 2-3 hours of typing or in Dock Mode. I charge it about every 3 months. That's good battery life for my usage. Cons: -No track pad. This is my biggest complaint for this keyboard case. Logitech has made a Folio Keyboard case WITH a trackpad for the iPad Air 3 and the standard 10.2 model. So why didn't they add one for the Pro's? If you really want to compete against the Magic Keyboard and make the Pro's a truly laptop replacement, they should've added this feature. -Dock mode angle. You can only have it at one viewing angle. They measured it at 58 degrees. For me this is no problem when I have it on my lap in bed or if I have it on my desk. When my kids are using it for school they have to adjust themselves to be at a certain height in order to see the screen better. There is no adjustment for this. -Initial set up. When sliding your iPad in, the right corners are really tight that it began to remove the glass screen protector on there. I figured the best way to put in there is slide in the left side first and you can bend the right ones around the corners. If you have no screen protector (or the non-tempered glass ones), this shouldn't be too big of a concern. Overall, I am very impressed and happy with the Logitech Keyboard Folio. Even though it is virtually the same as the one made for 2018 Pro's, this is a great accessory to have. Yes, it is bulky and at times can feel heavy, but I feel that my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil are safe and secured. Again, I am astounded that they not include a trackpad in this model to really make it a laptop replacement. I am really happy with this accessory and does make your iPad as close to a laptop experience as possible.

I received this Logitech - Slim Folio Pro Keyboard Case for Apple® iPad® Pro 12.9" (3rd and 4th Gen) and I have the 3rd Generation. Right out of the box I was impressed. I had purchased the Apple designed case when I purchased the iPad at BestBuy, and have been using it exclusively. I received this in the mail and placed my iPad in it. It fits like a glove. Very easy to attach and remove from the device. All the buttons are covered & very well protected. They are still easy to access and use, with a little getting used to. To adjust the volume you have to put forth a little more effort to achieve the desired setting. But to me, that was not a problem. The layout around the camera is well designed and in no way interferes with the camera being used. In the pictures that I attached you can see that the iPad is very well protected and Logitech did an awesome job in that regard. To me, it offers way more protection that the Apple designed case. Another thing I like about the Logitech is it has the instant on. Once you open the case and place the keyboard in the “slot” it immediately recognizes and the keyboard lights up. I love this feature as well. To me, the keys are better laid out that the Apple case, and it allows me to type faster. As far as battery life, I have used it for about 5/6 hours a day at work (I’m a Pastor) and it is still going strong. The one difference between the Logitech and the Apple, that I like the Apple case better is the flap on the back to get the iPad in a more upright position doesn’t hold very well, while the Apple case does. I have a hard time getting this case to stay in that position while its on my lap. Another feature I like better on this case is the Apple Pencil protection. With the Apple case its not very well protected. And I had actually stopped using the Apple Pencil, as far as attaching it to the iPad and leaving it, due to the fact I kept misplacing it, and with the cost of it, the Apple could have done a better job with a simple flap like this case has. The closure flap on this case holds not only the case closed, it keeps the Apple Pencil very well secured, as you can see by the attached picture. I now leave the Apple Pencil attached to my iPad with no fear of losing it. Overall, this is a well designed, laid out case. My only complaint is the weight. With the Apple case I barely knew I had it in my hand, not with this case. IT IS HEAVY! But, the trade off for the protection that it offers are worth the added weight.

    Heavy duty... And convenient!

Wow, this is a heavy case! My kitchen scale shows 715g (25.22oz), iPad Pro (12.9" Gen 4) is just 636g (22.43oz), so the case is heavier than iPad Pro itself! Combined together case and iPad weigh more than 2020 Mac Book Air! This is a great case to get if you need a really heavy duty protection for your iPad, apple pencil can be stored within the case flap as well. Removing iPad from the case takes a little bit of time as it's not held by the magnets, but by a rubberized edge of the case. Keyboard has it's own battery, it's backlit and connects to iPad over bluetooth (so in theory you don't have to put iPad in the case for keyboard to work). Would I recommend getting this case? If you want a very good protection (back and front) for your iPad and don't mind it to be a little heavy - definitely yes! If you do a lot off typing/taking notes on your iPad - sure! Keyboard is backlit and very nicely made. If you would like to be able to remove iPad from the keyboard case quickly - no, don't get this case - iPad is not magnetically attached, it takes some time to remove it. Do you even need a keyboard for an iPad? This totally depends on what you are doing. It's super nice to have a real keyboard for text editing, notes taking or using your iPad as a terminal to connect to a Unix server over SSH. Software keyboard is not taking precious screen space. Own battery could be a positive and a negative at the same time.. It's definitely a positive thing if you want to maximize your iPad battery life - keyboard backlight won't be sucking energy from the iPad itself. However - it's another battery you need to remember to keep charged (even though Logitech promises 3 months battery life). This case does NOT take advantage of iPad accessory port so you can't use a single USB-C to charge both - keyboard and iPad. I would definitely rate this case 5 star if it will use iPad accessory connection for USB-C pass thru.

TLDR - Great protective keyboard case with some weight. Pros: - the keyboard has dedicated media/function keys (where as another more name brand product that cost way more does not) - keys have good and consistent travel, making it a very comfortable experience to type on regularly (have not miss any keypresses yet) - keyboard is backlit (there are two levels of brightness and both levels are sufficient for low lit environments) - keyboard has USB-C port for charging (charges quite quick and has yet to die on me (been using for more than 2 weeks now) - case covers the corners quite well which gives me peace of mind if i ever accidentally drop my iPad - case is thick, provides extra protection (though some may see this as a con, i don’t mind having my ipad better protected) - case is easy to put on and take off - apple pencil can charge and stay on in tandem with the case Cons - the weight of the case is almost the same as my iPad (though i don’t mind this, i had to put this as a con because it takes away from it’s portability) - the case basically doubles the thickness of the iPad (very noticeable especially when holding) - only one position for the iPad when docked to type Overall, the pros outweigh the cons for me and i absolutely recommend the case. If you need a protective keyboard case, this one definitely nails the requirement, though you will have to give up some portability due to it’s weight and thickness.

The Logitech Slim Folio Pro Keyboard Case for the iPad Pro provides a very well made keyboard, but advertises more features than it’s made for. As a keyboard and protection case, it’s great. Sketch Mode and Read Mode leave the user wanting more. I feel that at the bare minimum this product should work seamlessly in Type AND Read Modes, but I can only recommend the Type Mode as Read Mode has some issues. Sketch Mode is okay. PROS: - The Keyboard is hefty and feels really good under your fingers. The keys essentially turn the iPad into a laptop, and the function keys are a great plus. - The back-lit keys make it easy to use in the dark. The Keyboard is the Slim Folio Pro’s best feature, impressive to say the least. - The Case itself is quite rugged and protects the iPad edges very well. - When the Folio is closed completely, the strap holds the Apple Pencil even more securely. It’s nice that there’s a space for the Apple pencil to magnetically attach to the iPad like it’s intended to be stored and for charging. - The battery life is good on the Slim Folio Pro. Easy to charge. CONS: - While the Keyboard is awesome, I can only recommend this product in Type Mode, Sketch Mode is just okay, and Read Mode is disappointing. - Sketch Mode is nothing to brag about as an Apple Pencil user. I wish it was just slightly more angled for sketching. It doesn’t exactly fold or lay down the way it’s advertised. I tried to match the images on the box and it just doesn’t sit the same way. The advertised Sketch Mode sits at a higher angle than where it actually sits. If too much pressure is applied to the top corners, the iPad will give into the pressure. It’s stable enough, but not as sturdy as I thought it would be given that the case itself is quite sturdy. - Read Mode is not as comfortable as it should be. The joint edge provides too big of a gap, it doesn’t allow the iPad to lay flat so the iPad itself slumps down due to the weight. - I would have liked more than one tilt setting in Type Mode. Upon looking at the application images on the box as well as the included reading material, there’s only one angle the iPad can be in. After doing some research online, it seems there is a second steeper angle the iPad can be in in Type Mode (see images) though it doesn’t seem very stable so I only recommend it to be used as intended. - It’s tough to get the iPad into the case. Not a huge con if you’re just doing this once and plan on using this long term. Keyboard - 5 stars Case/Protection - 4 stars Sketch Mode - 2.5 stars Read Mode - 1 star Would I recommend this for artists? I’m on the fence of ‘No’ to ‘Maybe’. I had more hopes for Sketch Mode. Would I recommend this for day to day typists? Yes. The keyboard is fantastic and I bet you’d get used to the Read Mode even with its faults.

The Logitech Slim Folio Pro Keyboard Case has been an absolute amazing addition to my first iPad ever. It has features that I didn’t think a tablet keyboard case combo would have. The packaging is simple: Slide it out, get the instruction manual and the case. To install the pad into the case, place the device in the left side and then pop the corners on and you’re all set. The buttons are easily marked and easy to access, the case is lightweight enough, that while it does add on a little bulk, it’s not something I mind, coming from a Surface Pro with a UAG case and type cover. It does not come with it’s own power cord, which is fine, I have enough cords to deal with as it is, instead it uses the iPad’s charging cord (note that the latest gen of iPad does not use Lighting, they finally converted to USB-C which is a blessing) The case came fully charged. Note that there is no on and off switch to turn the keyboard on or off. When you set the case into the right position, it automatically powers on and connects to your pad via Bluetooth. I absolutely love that feature because I am forgetful and would have left it on. There is an LED indicator and a battery button to tell you the status of the battery life The second cool feature I like is the backlit keyboard, as I often type in darker areas/ at night. It has two levels of brightness and then no light (So three levels total), which I find are not very different, so I just use it on the lowest setting. The keyboard itself is pretty smooth and quiet, a little smaller than what I am used to, but I have big hands, and usually use a larger/full sized keyboard. It has function keys for music control, audio control, home and lock buttons and incorporates the Apple cmd/option buttons. I like that a lot because I’m used to using alt + tab to switch programs on a computer and I can basically do that with this. Finally the case it self, it will protect your device from drops. The corners are protected and have enough clearance for every day slips from under your arm or out of your hand. You can fold the keyboard back to use it in “tablet mode” by itself. And on the magnetic clasp, it contains a pocket for the Apple Pencil, and if you have the second gen pencil, it will charge it right with the iPad. I don’t have the pencil yet, but I certainly look forward to seeing how well it works, my only concern with it, is the pencil accidentally slipping out and me loosing it. Definitely worth a five star rating from me, I use a lot of Logitech products and they never have failed me.

Logitech has a great product here. The case does a fantastic job at protecting the iPad. The keys are a pleasure to type on. Not mushy at all. The specialized function keys are a bonus over the Apple keyboard as well. The keyboard folds under the screen in 2 ways, depending on your preference, when you want to use just the screen. The battery lasts a LONG time. I go months without having to charge these. I've not recharged it yet since the first charge after buying it. It weighs more than an Apple keyboard, but you get so many benefits over the Apple, it's worth it. Especially given how much less this costs.

I didn’t really want to pay $349 for the Apple keyboard because it didn’t have as many options as this one does. I really like the back lit keyboard, the only thing I wish is that it stayed on longer, but I understand that they have it to go off to conserve the battery. I have not used this long enough to determine the battery life, however a lot of people have said they can get 3 months out of it on 1 charge. I would highly recommend this to a 1st time user. You also can’t beat the price of it compared to the Apple keyboard.

Great case. Not as versatile (doesn't have as many positions) as my previous case, but it provides a lot more protection. It's worth the trade-off. The keyboard battery lasts forever. I use this iPad (w/case) every day all day long to work on and it has really held up. This is actually my second case for second iPad. The first one i've had for well over a year with no issues. It has outlived my previous case already.

Best iPad case I've seen so far. Much better than the Magic keyboard which we had to return twice because the pointer wouldn't work right. Better means better price (less than half of the magic keyboard) and stronger protection for my iPad pro with covered corners and cool design. It even has a little chamber for my apple pen:) The only downside is the weight - a little heavier but totally worth it.

Pros: The 3 positions are so ergonomic for the busy person: - Laptop position - Reading / Tablet position - Sketching / Drawing position - I am a healthcare worker and am on my feet all day; and I take my iPad Pro 12.9” with me everywhere using it to type patient charting; read emails, pdf docs and; write and sign off on pdf documents all day. The Apple Pencil holder is also a bonus knowing that my 150+ dollar pencil will never fall out. - The iPad (and Apple Pencil) have supreme protection all around - Keyboard charge lasts for months. -Keyboard is backlit. Cons: - The case doubles the weight of the iPad easily; but the iPad definitely feels secure all around. - There is no mouse / track pad. - The iPad is difficult to remove from the case.

I have the 12.9 inch iPad Pro and this keyboard cover fits very well. I was looking for a cheaper option compared to the ridiculously priced magic keyboard Apple uses. I haven’t needed to charge the keyboard yet and I’ve been using it for almost a month a couple times a week just for zoom meetings and typing papers. It is a small keyboard. I’m used to full sized keyboards and have sausage fingers so it is an adjustment. I wish the keyboard cover offered actual protection for the iPad but it’s mainly just to cover the screen. Overall it’s great for keeping your screen covered, has great battery life and no connectivity issues. If you’re looking for something to protect your iPad completely this is not the product for you. It does offer more protection than the magic keyboard I believe. And getting used to the angle of display will be an adjustment if you’re used to working on a laptop with hinge screens. Don’t be afraid of putting in your iPad for the first time. It is really tough to get the iPad in the case but that’s a good thing because it means your iPad won’t fall out!!!
