My Wife absolutely loves her case. The key board and mouse are easy to use and she uses this everyday for work. I would definitely recommend this product. It also is not very bulky and you can detach the keyboard as well if you just want to use your !PAD. I would definitely recommend this product.

Hello, we are glad to hear that your wife is enjoying her Combo Touch Keyboard Case! There are four types of modes she will get some use out of, Typing Mode: Dock the keyboard upright and pull out the kickstand to type out notes or emails.

Viewing Mode: Detach the keyboard and pull out the kickstand to watch movies and TV shows.

Sketching Mode: Fully extend the kickstand back for the perfect angle to take notes or draw with Apple Pencil (1st gen) or Logitech Crayon.

Reading Mode: Tuck the kickstand in and detach the keyboard to read books, articles, and more. Happy you are both happy with your product. Have a great day! Wonderful product, light, comfortable, easy to use and very cute. However, the trackpad gets stuck and stops working. I have tried to talk to the helpline but it has been impossible.

I like that this keyboard converts my iPad into a mini computer. However, I’m trying other options from a different seller. This keyboard is HEAVY and BULKY. It weighs nearly as much as my MacBook Pro. I’m also concerned about it’s hardiness. The keyboard is magnetized to the iPad by a quarter inch strip (see picture attached). It’s just not strong enough. The keyboard comes detached easily. I’ve already dropped the keyboard when it comes detached several times. I’m concerned the keyboard will become damaged if it detaches and falls again. Functionally, I also notice the trackpad is snarky. I’ve had to detach and reattach it in order to get the cursor to function as it should.

Great accessory for iPad. Would’ve preferred the magnet to hold when the keyboard is folded to the back. The way it is now, it you want to use as a tablet the keyboard will need to be detached.

PROs: - Incredibly well-appointed iPad case provides both robust/reassuring protection for 7th Gen iPad and doubles as an incredibly powerful keyboard/trackpad combination - Despite the “heft” of the iPad once it’s loaded in the case, the weight isn’t too burdensome; we measured the whole setup at 11/16” thick and weighing in right at 2.5 lbs with a pencil in the loop - Full cutout access to the iPad’s cameras, sensors, speakers, lightning port and headphone jack while the power and volume buttons are neatly tucked beneath raised buttons extruded from the bumper material running around the edge of the case…all-in-all, a very smooth and uncluttered appearance - Logitech knows their stuff—seems to be built to exacting tolerances as it fits the 7th Gen perfectly with no gaps, obvious seams, or signs of something cheaply made so it could be rushed to market - Built-in storage loop for the Apple pencil…the rubberized material seems tough enough to not stretch out over time to keep the pencil well secured without needing a clip - Lighted keyboard actually doesn’t go over the top with the LED backlight—easy on the eyes even when using in the dark - Full keyboard layout supports Lock and Home functions (excellent!) while the trackpad supports multi-touch and gestures for cursor control and scrolling; there are probably other iOS/Mac-like shortcuts and gestures supported but we’re still discovering how to use them all! - Soft-touch, almost fabric-like texture covering is pleasing to the touch, but appears to be a bit more durable than the micro-fibrous material on something like the Surface Pro’s smart keyboard that starts to flake off over time…you can comfortably lay this case down on pretty much any surface or texture and not need worry about scratches or scuffs - NO BATTERIES required! I have an older Logitech Tablet Keyboard I used with my iPad Mini and it gave out on me once during a seminar after the batteries went dead. For the longest time, I had to carry my iPad charger along with a change of batteries for the keyboard when I needed some longer-term keyboard support. This keyboard simply snaps into place using some decently strong magnets and is powered via the smart connector along the side of the iPad itself—so long as your tablet has juice, the keyboard and trackpad will continue to function - Built-in multi-position kickstand provides for hands-free viewing as well as a lower angled work surface for those of you using the tablet like a drawing board CONs: - Logitech is leveraging the iPad's built-in pointer function so all cursor behavior is actually a byproduct of Apple’s design choices rather than Logitech’s…but you should still know what you're getting into. With the trackpad on deck, the dot-like cursor gets CLOSE to a PC-like user experience, but it can still be a little hard to see the dot on a busy screen depending on the contents and background color (pointer options can be tweaked the ‘Settings > Accessibility > Pointer Control’ sub-menu) - The pairing was instantaneous as you would expect from a product in the Apple ecosystem, but we needed to make additional adjustments in the iPad’s Accessibility options to turn on “Full Keyboard Access” in the ‘Hardware Keyboard’ submenu before the keyboard itself worked as expected (we actually thought ours was defective initially until we found this additional setting!) - The keyboard does not fold back under the screen, it will pop off the spine of the cover if folded back further than table-top flat; if you want to use the iPad like an e-reader or just not bother with the keyboard, the only option is to remove and set aside the keyboard itself (which also leaves a very large portion of the left side of the iPad unprotected - The added bulk of the case does raise the iPad off the surface a bit so your Apple Pencil will be floating in mid-air supported only by the lightning connector if you’re charging it via the lightning port…be careful! - If the iPad goes to sleep while the cover is closed, it likely won’t recognize the keyboard after waking it with the home or power buttons. This is quickly remedied by simply popping the keyboard off the magnetic snaps and re-attaching it and the keyboard is instantly functional again. But this happens [for us] EVERY TIME the iPad is left unattended for a while and it was driving us positively bonkers when we were first auditioning the keyboard. We’ve learned to live with it (heck, maybe even Apple’s own Smart Keyboard folio does the same thing?), but if someone knows the secret Settings sauce necessary to overcome this admittedly minor but still remarkably irritating inconvenience, we’d love to hear about it! Summary Review: We’re a tech-heavy family with 8 MS Windows PCs (productivity, gaming, travel) and about a dozen Apple iDevices (iPads, iPods & iPhones) so it’s safe to say that any bad habits or preconceptions we’ve learned or developed on one platform have taken a little time to unlearn or re-acclimate to when using the other. While we LOVE the Apple ecosystem and the simplicity of design and usability that always seems to accompany an Apple iDevice, the one place we always wish there was just a little more capability in our iPads was a way to enjoy the flexibility and convenience of a PC-like keyboard and trackpad/mouse so we wouldn’t necessarily need to travel with so many devices. Enter the Logitech Combo Touch Keyboard—one of the most full-featured and seamless ways to give you that Windows-like feeling of a Surface Pro (or maybe a Macbook???) with your iPad when you need it. Assembly is painless—the iPad snaps into place inside the frame without needing to disassemble the rubber bumper a la an Otterbox Defender case. The keyboard attaches to the bottom of the iPad via magnets and starts drawing power from the smart connector immediately. Pairing/functionality was excellent and effortless once I completed the proper adjustments in the settings menu. Be aware that prior to enabling full hardware keyboard support (mentioned above), the keyboard still does work out of the box…sort of. Some keys worked fine and as expected, others would end up moving the cursor instead of registering a letter press—it took me a while and a bit of frustration before realizing there were setting options in the iPad itself that also needed changing to get the keyboard to work as it should. I’m guessing those of you with experience using a Mac or maybe a multi-gesture trackpad probably know this already; but in case you don’t, the trackpad on this keyboard serves multiple functions--far more than just tracing the movement of your finger with the cursor. Using one finger on the trackpad moves the cursor about the screen, but using two fingers scrolls within a page and moves between apps/screens. Coupled with the ‘Home’ button and other dedicated iOS function keys, you can easily use, activate, and navigate apps and pages without ever touching the screen itself. And there are many other shortcuts and customization settings available in the iPad’s various Keyboard and Accessibility submenus so you can quickly tweak your keyboarding user experience even further. If you are using your iPad in an office/productivity setting, this will dramatically smooth out your workflow. Similar to the behavior of the Logitech Pebble Mouse we picked up a few weeks ago, the cursor you’ll find on your iPad using the Combo Touch Keyboard is not a pointer-like arrow you’d see on a PC--it's a [variably-sized] dot that I affectionately refer to as a "finger-tip simulator" to indicate where you would be pressing down on the screen if you were using your finger. But if you hover over text, the dot changes to a vertical cursor to indicate the position of text entry--it's actually pretty slick and works well in execution. Overall, the Logitech Combo Touch Keyboard Case is a GREAT addition to your iPad if you plan to use it in any capacity other than an e-reader or touch-tablet. The keyboard is nicely sized if maybe just a little cramped, but the physical keys provide for a FAR more productive and satisfying typing experience than using the on-screen keyboard. I don’t know what kind of fall/drop protection the case provides, but fully closed, all edges and surfaces of the iPad are WELL protected--and while that protection does come at the cost of added weight and bulk, the tradeoff is that you really can start using your iPad in a way that approaches that of a full-fledged PC. Honestly, if it weren’t for the constant disconnects that occur once the iPad sleeps, this would be a 5+ star product—and if there’s a way to overcome this issue in the Settings menu, I should think something so critical to the operation of the product would be featured prominently in the instructions/promotional materials. But that issue aside, this is still a winner for managing to pack so much capability into a slick and pretty user-friendly package; definitely recommended.

All I wanted in a case

This is a fairly rugged case, which is thick and adds some weight, but not overly heavy. The cloth-like material is very easy to clean and does not scratch easily. Kids have been playing with the iPad, and I just wipe off the case with a cloth. The case has no batteries and nothing to set up. Literally, put the iPad in the case and snap the keyboard. The keyboard/trackpad uses Apple's 'Smart Connector', which does not require Bluetooth, pairing, nor batteries. The keyboard is not attached to the case, it's held firmly with magnets to the iPad's case, so it can be removed when reading vertically on it. The keys are backlight and are as good as any other slim keyboard from Logitech, with good amount of travel and feedback. Then there is the trackpad. This is something I initially did not know I wanted, but it makes it so much easier to use the iPad when working with emails or documents. The trackpad is sufficiently large, sensitive and with good feedback, like a laptop. While the iPad works slightly different in terms of cursor movement, it feels intuitive right away. It also supports gestures like two-fingers, etc. The flap on the back of the case is firm and provides a good range of adjustment to tilt the iPad to the right angle. There is also a loop on top of the case to hold an Apple Pencil or the Logitech Crayon. I already had the crayon and it fits a bit too snugly, but the Apple Pencil is thinner so it should work out fine. The first time I connected the case to the iPad, it offered to download an optional app: Logitech Control. This is again, optional, and what it does is allows to adjust the backlighting on the case (bright, medium or off), and the duration of the backlight. It also updated the firmware in on the keyboard/trackpad. One small caveat: Sometimes when waking up the iPad, it doesn’t recognize the keyboard right away. Simply snapping the keyboard back in works every time. I highly recommend this case to anyone that’s going to be typing longer documents and the newly added trackpad support makes it much more useful when working with documents. Not having to worry about charging the keyboard makes it feel more like a laptop

Has a nice fabric like touch to it, rugged, well-built, and protects the iPad from accidental drops - the case fully covers the lip and the corners. The combo touch keyboard has full function keyboard with the iPad shortcuts on the top row, back lit keys, and a precision touch pad that is very responsive and has a glass like touch to it. This keyboard turned my iPad into a computer. The keys are smooth, has a nice touch to it and very responsive. I now use my iPad to edit documents, spreadsheets, write emails, etc. This keyboard takes the browsing experience to whole new level as the track pad brings in the same functionality that you have on regular PC - can easily scroll through the web pages, zoom in/out using two finger touch, flip through apps with right/left swipe, etc. The kickstand is amazing and allows me to view the iPad at different angles - read/sketch/type, etc. No need to charge the keyboard, it auto pairs (connects to smart connector) when it latches on the iPad, and turns ON/OFF when you open/close the keyboard. My only complaint is the keyboard sometimes detaches itself easily when I tried to handle the iPad with the keyboard open, not big deal, just have to get use to holding it with both hands. Overall, it's an amazing keyboard that literally converts your iPad into a PC and highly recommend it for avid users. It’s the best iPad keyboard I ever owned and it's worth every penny!!

    Really Great Overall Case

So overall I am really happy with the case. It comes I n2 parts, the main case that the iPad snaps into, and the detachable keyboard piece. I really like that the keyboard charges via the iPad directly. Using the connector where the Pencil would go, it magnetically attaches and gets its charge from there. The keys are great to type with. I REALLY like that the keys also are backlit. What a great addition. I also like the touchpad. As your mouse gets close to an icon it snaps to the icon and then the entire icon is enabled (highlighted). So when you click the touchpad, the icon for the app you want will be selected, no worrying that the mouse moved. The case snaps on the iPad very easily. And the back has the “stand” that you can adjust to a nearly flat position or keep it nearly upright. I wasn’t sure how I felt about that at first, I thought I would break the stand the first time I pressed it lower, but I found out quickly it is meant to do this and it very sturdy. You can really get the angle you want to view the tablet. The case does have some eight to it. You definitely feel like the iPad is protected. My one concern, and why I did not give it 5 stars, is the keyboard attachment. I do not always want the keyboard and I would like to flip it behind the iPad or our of the way. That is to an option. If you do or want to use the keyboard you have to remove it (it comes off super easy).... but then you have a keyboard laying around beside you or on the table and you have to remember to reattach it when you close the iPad or turn it off. As the keyboard is the screen protector for the device when not in use. I find having the keyboard detach is not ideal.... and then I have to figure out something to do with it.

Another Logitech success story - you need this

Okay so you got the new iPad. And you know you'll need a case. Most people seem to get a basic folio case, a flip over and that is all they want to spend. Later, they see someone has a case with a keyboard, then they go buy that, and have spent twice for something they should have considered in the beginning. Why? I've been using iPads since they came out. Even with the larger iPhones, the iPad is a great in between tool, between the iPhone and the MacBook. I know, I go through this daily it seems. The iPad is a smaller, easier solution, and is more flexible for things you might need it for - looking up a cooking video, or how to repair something video, something that isn't conducive to using your MacBook and the video might be too small for your phone. Or maybe you are using both? Who knows, but still, the iPad needs this case. You can use it like a folio case and get the protection of that. But, you can also use it like a laptop. I found myself enjoying the iPad like my laptop because of this case. The back has a stiff tent slab that opens to suit your tastes for angle. And it stays there. It is easier to move around than a laptop and can instantly be turned back to a tablet and a folio case by a flip over. Or, if you want to keep it out as laptop, you can do that too. Very flexible and worth the money to buy this one time. OR, you can remove the keypad part easily by simply popping it off of it's magnetic connection. Very cool. So, the magnet hold is strong it won't just fall off. It must be done with intention to separate it from the keyboard. But it is another way to use this. It uses the smart connector on your iPad (that you probably never noticed was there) to power the keyboard. Smart. It's there, no need to externally charge this like the other stuff you have to charge each day. Pop in the iPad and the connector marries up to it automatically. The trackpad is very responsive and you won't find anything better. The keyboard feels natural and spaced properly with decent sized keys. No feeling of using a portable iPad keyboard, feels like a MacBook. The material used is hard to describe, it feels like cloth, but it also feels like it is part of the construction - so no sagging, rips, or tears. Hard to describe, unique, and feels like something comfortable, not cold and plastic feeling. Will help when using as you won't feel a cold plastic surface. And seems you can clean it too, like a plastic cover. Weird, but very ingenious. There isn't a reason to put off buying this - yes, it does cost more than a traditional folio, but this is way more than that. It allows you to use this like a computer, a tablet, etc. and has a great feel to it!

I am glad I invested in this device for my iPad. It is a combination protector/keyboard. I enjoy having the kickstand which allows me to watch streaming videos and the keypad gives me the freedom to type quickly. It was a breeze to install on my tablet and the magnet allows to handle my iPad when I need to. While pricey at $149, I don’t regret the investment.
