I'm giving you my review via my new Dell laptop, which I am loving! Easy to set up and I love the big screen for scrapbooking and the touch screen! I would highly recommend this laptop! It's for fun for me to surf on and do digital scrapping, but I know I can do so much more on it if needed. Great purchase!

Good laptop, a few quirks I don't care for

I needed to replace a laptop at work and I've always tried to get Dell because they seem to have the best value for the money. This laptop seems to be no exception, however, there are a few quirks I don't care for. The first, and this was my fault for not catching it on the specs before I bought, there is no Ethernet connection. My point of sale program requires a hard wired connection, otherwise it chokes and locks up. OK, so another trip to the store to buy an adapter. Another quirk, albeit a minor one, is the keyboard is lit by default, and when using the laptop in it's normal position you cannot see the keys because the back light makes them look silver. So a few minutes were spent searching for the key to turn off the keyboard lighting. The last quirk I find annoying, and maybe it's just me, but pretty much any keyboard I use, the F keys are the default, and you have to press a shift or Fn key or something to access the secondary function, but not this Inspiron. Very annoying. Otherwise, I'm pleased with the laptop, I believe I have it working as I want it for our needs.

My daughter was buying her first computer for college. Best Buy has so many to choose from. My daughter had done some research and knew she wanted the 2 in 1 style. We found it, ordered it and now she is happily working away on it.

Wanted to try a move from the expensive Macs and to a larger sized laptop screen for copy editing and graphic design projects. It fits the bill, though I'm still getting used to all the bells and whistles in the Office 365 PC software, which is much more than I'll ever use. It is a little slower than I'd like but I got this model on sale so cannot complain. (I'm wondering if the speed has more to do with cumbersome software.) The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because the camera leaves a lot to be desired. My image flickers throughout Zoom meetings. Could be the lousy bandwidth at my house, but I never had this problem with the camera on my 7 year old Mac Book Air.

    Liking this Dell

Bought my Dell at Best Buy after a lot of comparing, and got the geek squad to set it up for me. It has been easy to use and understand. I am by no means a pro at computers, got it home and was able to get it on my network with no problems. So far it has been easy to transfer everything I have needed to transfer from my old computer. With all this covid-19 craziness that is happening, decided I needed to update my computer to be able to work from home and be able patisapate in zoom meetings and webinars. And of course place orders. Never thought much about ordering supplies on line. And of course don't forget about playing games . This has been a good fit for me. I highly recommed the Dell- Inspiron 15 7000. Learning all this computer can do has been fun. I was way over due for an upgrade this computer has met all my expectation and more.

This is my first new laptop in 10 years! Of course that is many lifetimes in the world of tech. This Dell laptop combines reasonable price with high quality. Ease of setup and speed got me up and running in minutes. I am very pleased with it.

Bought a couple of these for 2 kids in school. There are some nice features (nice screen, touch screen, 12GB mem, backlit keyboard, nice, thoughtful built-in camera cover, etc.) They've only had them about a month so I can't speak to the longevity but the case is nice and sturdy as well. I do feel the retail is about $100 too high but there were education discounts when I got ours. They initially wanted chromebooks to save money but that is like trying to dig a hole with a teaspoon instead of a shovel. If you can afford the extra $$, these are waaaay better.

Great laptop for what I need. As a teacher who uses it in the virtual world, having a touch screen comes in handy. The speed at which it opens and runs programs is awesome. I will continue to buy Dell laptops.

I like how quick it starts-up and how quick the programs load. Awesome touch screen and I really like the "chalkboard/whiteboard" feature. Not sure why, but when I let it sit idle for a few minutes, it completely shuts down and I have to restart everything. Might be something in my settings. Would have liked a more in-depth tutorial for somebody like me who is not well versed in laptops and computers. All said, I'm happy with the purchase.

I LOVE this computer. It has a screen that is bright enough to use outdoors. It is so nice to be able to flip it and have a tablet for drawing and taking digital notes. My only qualm is that the sound is not the loudest, but it's not the worst either. It runs quietly and it is comfortable to type on it's full keyboard. It feels sturdy yet light and is surprisingly nice for a computer running Microsoft (it's not my favorite OS, but it was bought for college). The screen lives in the middle ground between being large enough to split without feeling blind and being compact enough to carry around easily. Also, it has all the ports. I am so happy with this computer so far!
