Customers are positive about the Vertex Cordless Stick Vacuum's powerful suction, long battery life, ease of use, and lightweight design, with many praising its performance on various floor types. However, some customers expressed concerns regarding the vacuum's noise level and the price point. A few also mentioned challenges related to cleaning the dust bin and the limited number of included attachments. Overall, the positive feedback on key features like suction and ease of use outweighs the negative comments.

I've only used it once so far but I'm very pleased.
We have a long hair dog. We also bought a Shark Cordless Vertex a few years ago. The basic problem with that vacuum is that picks up the dogs long hair by wrapping it around the brush roller. A little bit ends up in the cup.
This products DuoClean brush roller actually lifts the hair and most of it makes it into the cup. All the hair, for all I know. I like the flexible stick for vacuuming under things. It also makes it more flexible for directing the machine on the floor.
My experience with Shark cordless vacuum indicates that they don't perform as well on carpet as they do on hard surfaces. It can remove surface particles and dog hair, but I don't think it pulls up a lot of dust from below. I have a different vacuum for weekly cleaning the carpets but I do like to run the cordless machine in between weekly cleanings.
The battery quote of 60 minutes is accurate if your read the details which quote 60 minutes in hand held mode. If you attach the motor head, I believe it's obvious that you won't get 60 minutes. More like 30-40. I can cover the hard floor on our first floor, and bathrooms upstairs, then a quick run over the carpet in the bedrooms and stairs. I can do the whole house on one charge which is good enough and the battery will then need to be recharged.
Much better solution for me than the older Vertex.

liked this vacuum a lot only wish I was able to tell a little bit more about how much battery it had so I ended up upgrading to the pro.but this did last a good while charged and great suction, super quiet compared to my last shark vacuum that I had

It has very good suction for a rechargeable, good battery life, and it "transforms" from hand held to upright, for both smooth and carpeted floors, very easily. I like that it folds in half in the upright mode, requiring very little floor space or you can even keep it on a closet shelf.

Love this product! This is my second Shark vacuum. The first vacuum I bought back in 2015 corded and is still going strong! I bought this cordless Shark because I now have 4 pitts that leave their fine hair everywhere and it’s hard to keep up! This little gem is great! A lost quieter than the plug in, picks everything up off the hard woods and leaves a slight shine to it, light weight and easy to maneuver! I would recommend this product, I have no doubt that it will last just as long as my other!

I've been using this vacuum for 2 weeks, and it works pretty well. I'm not too fond of it when I use the wand attachment because it feels flimsy. Other than that, it has good suction power and keeps the charge for more than an hour. I am still considering if I should return it.

A very nice vacuum. I like the Shark vacuums better than the more expensive Dysons. The battery seems to be adequate and suction power is good.

Purchased for my wife after researching this product. It's a excellent product and does exactly what they claim. Cleans hard wood floors perfectly and short pile carpet.
Very maneuverable head and very easy to go around tables and such. Battery last longer than I would have thought.
Only downside is it requires 3 hour charge time. That being said we have never run out of battery using it. It cleans very well.

This vacuum definitely does the job. After vacuuming with our other unit, we went back over it with this vacuum and it picked up even more dirt. So very effective. Our only complaint at this point is the sound, it is louder than our other Shark vacuum.

We have a Golden/Border Collie that sheds constantly. I read good reviews on this Shark and was surprised at how well it works on carpet and hard floors. Our house is 2600 square feet and the battery lasts without recharging. I was going to buy another battery but after using several weeks I don’t think I need to.

We bought this to replace a Dyson Animal cordless stick vacuum that quit working after a drop. This Shark is much quieter and appears to work just as good as our Dyson did. The battery is, so far, superior to the Dyson. This Shark didn’t come with a wall mount like the Dysons have, but other than that, we prefer our new Shark to our old Dyson.

I bought this vacuum as a Christmas present to ourselves. We have been nothing but impressed with this machine! For being so small and lightweight, it cleans just as well if not better than our first corded lift-away Shark. The duo clean soft roll really makes a difference. With it being so light it is a breeze to clean our hard wood stairs and to use on the furniture. It is also extremely easy to maneuver around the house and with the touch of a button, it gets right under the table so we don't have to sweep from under it anymore. When we're done, it's as easy as pushing another button to fold it up for easy out of the way storage

Unmatched cleaning performance on hard floors and carpets thanks to the DuoClean w/ PowerFins cleaning head which eliminates the need to switch attachments when you switch surfaces. Self cleaning brush and cordless power from a removable battery add to the convenience of this great performing vacuum.

Powerful cordless it is more like a real vacuum. But now I have more freedom. The best part is it bends to get under furniture and also works as hand vac. Kind of wish it stood up on its own though.

100% Disappointed

TL; DR: This Shark vacuum sucks, and not the way you want it to. I already put it back in the box to return it for a Dyson. I would NOT recommend this vacuum to anyone, friend or foe.
I bought this Shark Vertex Cordless to replace our old, dying Dyson V6 Animal Cordless. I read many reviews and watched a ton of YouTube videos comparing vacuums when I started looking for a new vacuum. I had a Shark Navigator Pro before the Dyson, and I know Shark makes a good, powerful vacuum, so I was excited to try this new model and technology. Basing my opinion of using the vacuum on having used a Dyson for the last 4-5 years, I was more than disappointed with the Shark Vertex.
The Shark Vertex seemed like it was great. It went together easily and the crevice tool did well between the couch cushions and around the edges of the house. I liked the flexible arm that let the vacuum bend to get really far under furniture like my tables and sideboards. It was easy to empty the canister and easy to use. That's all of the pros.
After using the vacuum around the house for about 30 minutes, a clog developed in the first joint of the vacuum, which is the joint that takes the dirt from the head into the tube to take it up to the canister. This clog (half of which is pictured; my husband grabbed and threw out the first half before I could get it all done) was so big it extended from the opening of the vacuum suction hole on the bottom of the motorized head, all the way up to where the head attached to the main long arm. I grabbed a pair of tweezers to grip the clog and pull it out, but that didn't work. Then I got the screwdriver to try and pull it out, but only got the initial portion of the clog out that way. After looking into the vacuum head's mechanics, I found that there are three "lock screws" on the underneath that allow you to take off the bottom guard piece to access the suction tube, which means Shark knew this was a problem and they "fixed" it by giving more work for the consumer to do. After removing the thin little bottom guard piece, I was able to use a cat wand toy to shove through the bottom to push the clog out the other side. This mess pictured on my couch was the result. And after all that, I still had to put the vacuum back together to finish vacuuming up all the dirt and hair mess that the vacuum made.
As someone who has severe dust and environmental allergies, I don't exactly want to play with clogs of my allergens in order to get my vacuum running. I also have a large house, two long haired Siberian cats, four teenagers, and a job. The LAST THING I have time for is housework and messing around with crappy vacuums. For the price point, I'd expect this vacuum to actually work properly, and not take a ton of work to use it. The entire thing felt wobbly when fully connected and used to vacuum floors, so I didn't see the expected excellent quality of materials or workmanship for the price point either. Furthermore, as several reviewers stated (and I dismissed as being overly sensitive), the vacuum did shock me multiple times with static electricity buildup, even though I was carrying my metal cell phone to try to help discharge the shock. I live in New Hampshire, and yes, it is dry during the winter and something I've come to expect is shocks from static charges, which is why I dismissed others' concerns about the shocks. However I quickly became aware that they weren't overstating their issues, it was very annoying. Another con to this vacuum is that when I was vacuuming my couch where the cats lay, it wouldn't pick up all the cat fur regardless of how many passes I made. The suction just wasn't powerful enough, or maybe the static buildup offset the suction, gluing the cat hair to the couch in dreadlocked strands. Besides all this, the vacuum was very heavy and bulky, and I didn't like it almost immediately after I started using it. I'm not the best housekeeper as a busy mom with depression, and our Dyson battery wasn't holding a charge anymore and the unit was on its last legs as it was beat pretty hard during daily use so it wasn't performing up to par. So maybe there was just a larger than normal buildup of dirt and cat hair that made the clog inevitable, but honestly I have enough to deal with, and for $350 I expect a vacuum to just WORK. I buy vacuums to make my life easier, otherwise I'd just sweep the floors and take my rugs outside to beat them like they did in 1889.
This thing will be going back tomorrow, and I'll be placing my order for the Dyson V11 Animal. I'd rather pay twice as much and know for a fact that my vacuum will work when I need it to, how I need it to. Save yourself the headache and don't get this Shark Vertex Cordless vacuum.

I love this equipment my house is full of hardwood floors and I have two cats and two dogs this is the best new Appliance. It holds charge. It has a fan on the roller brush which cuts the hairs so I don't have to clean it. It's my new best friend. If I could I'd invite it over for coffee LOL

Pretty easy to use and understand. It did work on hard floors (I used it on tile). I mostly vacuum on carpet, its a bit heavy at the base and in my opinion, the suction isn't the best compared to a dyson that my friend has. its decent for it's price. but the suction wasnt strong enough to get my carpet fully clean.
