Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the K845 Full-size Wired Mechanical Tactile Keyboard for its mechanical feel, clicky keys, and responsive typing experience. Many users find the backlighting useful, especially for late-night use. The compact size and wired connectivity are also seen as advantages. However, some users find the keyboard to be too loud for certain environments, and a few dislike the font used on the keys.

Solid keyboard but dang it's noisy

OMG this keyboard is noisy but I didn't buy it for me. I bought it for my 10 year old daughter that is into gaming. She absolutely loves this keyboard. She doesn't mind that it is wired and honestly, probably prefers it because it will never run out of batteries which means she now has to hunt for the cable to charge it.

Great mix of gaming and "work from home" keyboard

In general I love this keyboard. It's responsive and comfortable. The smaller size makes it great for just about any desk. The lights are bright and visible, and there are 5 modes of functionality for the LEDs. It's not as configurable as a gaming keyboard but it's far more comfortable than almost any "business" keyboard I've ever used. It's a very nice middle ground, and aside from two small problems it would be 5-star. First, there's no "off" for the LEDs. It would be great if the LEDs went out when the windows screen locked, or there was a setting for "off"... When it's the only light in your house at night, it's brighter than you think. Also, after about 6 months of use I've got 2 LEDs that have died. From what I see online, there's no easy way to repair that... I feel that Logitech should be building better solutions than that. 6 months of typing shouldn't break the keyboard. If not for those issues, it would be 5-star

Better than our previous wireless keyboard

I had so much trouble with our wireless keyboard, I bought this one. It's really noisy and clunky but it works great. I hated the wireless one that just didn't work or got stuck. At least this one is more reliable. I think the wired keyboards are considered dinosaurs but I'll like it rather than new technology that stinks.

Not suggested for call center jobs

This keyboard has a very nice design and is made very well. The supported backlight is a great addition to the keyboard and the main reason I purchased it. However; If you are working from home and your profession requires you to be on the phone frequently, I would strongly advise AGAINST this keyboard. The keyboard buttons are simply too loud with every button pressed. I work in a call center and have heard phone calls that I have taken where you can hear me typing with this keyboard in the background. Definitely should have read the reviews about that before purchasing.

    Good For The Price

Good keyboard for the price. Keys feel really good and aren't super clicky (I chose Brown Switches.) The keys feel comfortable and give a good feeling when pushed so I know I pushed a key. The backlighting is just what I needed. Mostly you just see the characters lighting up, but there is a bit of light underneath. The face plate is a silver color that spreads the light so it isn't intense beneath the keys. I don't know who would need some of these lighting effects. The only one I really care for is the one that lights up each key you press, but the others are neat for a few seconds. Also, like others have mentioned, the Scroll lock/Num lock/Caps lock lights cannot be dimmed and are pretty intense. I think that's the only thing I dislike about this. The keys all have a custom font, which doesn't make them look too different from normal, but adds a bit of style.

    Competent Mechanical Keyboard for Business

Very good business aesthetic with decent feeling switches. If you're looking for a budget mechanical keyboard, especially if you're interested in gaming, you'd be better off waiting for sales on EVGA, Razer, or Corsair keyboards as they'll usually drop down to a similar price and will be equipped with higher quality switches. That being said, for someone who's interested in something that's more professional-looking and don't mind slightly cheaper feeling switches, this is a pretty competent alternative. They keyboard is plasticky and has moderate flex, but isn't so cheap and brittle that it'd snap if you dropped it from chest height. The switches feel very similar to their Cherry MX counterparts with maybe a bit more wobble, but the unit I purchased has a bit more tactility if you're comparing the Brown switches. Unsure about longevity, though. Keycaps are thin and cheap feeling, but that's the case with most off-the-shelf keyboards regardless of price. Backlit LEDs shine through well, though, for those intending to type in the dark.

How nice it is to go back to a mechanical Keyboard. This keyboard has a nice feel to it and I can type better with it then the smaller type keyboard that my all in one came with. Also it the keys light up. Sweet!

Great Gift For PC Gamers and Office Workers

Bought this as a gift for a family member. I had already purchased this keyboard to use at work, because I love mechanical keyboards. I have a Corsair K68 with Red switches at home and I just love it! Every keystroke is registered, and with gaming you don't get any freeze-ups when pressing multiple WASD and Space keys. With the Logitech, the feeling of the keystrokes is what I mainly adore at work. Not only does it make me feel more productive, it just feels more comfortable to me rather than the mushy tactile HP keyboards they provide. This Logitech uses their Romer-G switches. They feel like Red switches, but are a bit louder. I particularly like the aesthetics of it - the aluminum casing is minimalistic and looks like it belongs on an office desk. Matches well with the M720 mouse.

A dream keyboard for fast typists

For those who like an old fashioned keyboarding experience, this keyboard could be the One! It has all of the keys we got used to in the old days on windows computers and windows keyboards. The action is smooth and responsive. It is an excellent choice for fast typist. Because it is mechanical, it does make a sound. Those who grew up with typewriters will like that. It is a plug and play device that works well and has a familiar keyboard key arrangement. Pros: it is responsive so that a person can type really fast; the layout is comfortable; it has all of the standard keys; The installation is as simple as plugging it into a USB port. keys are a good size, and touch typist will have no problem using this keyboard. Cons: None! This is a dream keyboard

Purchased this for one of my users who had trouble using a low profile keyboard. My user let me know this keyboard is leagues better for ergonomics. The build quality is fantastic and the back-lit keys are a nice touch.

A sleek, lowkey keyboard for a professional person

I’m a pretty inconspicuous, low key person, and I love this keyboard. I’ve wanted a mechanical keyboard for years, but couldn’t justify a flashing RGB board that ruined my professional style. This keyboard is perfect because it’s sleek and professional looking, while still having all the positive qualities of a mechanical keyboard. The key presses feel heavy (which is a good thing), and the board is responsive with a low latency. If you consider yourself a “professional” person, who needs a good quality keyboard without the whistles and bells, I cannot not recommend this enough

    Affordable and Mechanical

Affordable mechanical keyboard from Logitech. The footprint is small around a full-size, right-spaced keyboard. All the keys fall readily to hand if you've used desktop keyboards over the last 40 years. Three choices in key click feel/sound and the choice of Logitech or Cherry switches. It's all here. I've used for over a year and it's still as satisfying as day one. I also get lots of comments about my key click in the office.

    Touch type keyboard

Overall, this is a great keyboard. I love that it is backlit, even though I don't used that feature that much. It also has various settings for the light, so you can customize how you use it or turn it off (for those who care). I wanted to replace an old basic keyboard, but also wanted the "touch type" feel because I write a lot. Newer keyboards don't offer that same feel. This one is heavier than the basic keyboards you get with computers - which is good. It stays put and doesn't slide on my desk. It has brightness and volume controls in the function keys as well as a calculator. Overall, I love this. My only negative is how loud it is compared to others. I tend to not notice it now, but it was a bit jarring when I first used it.
