Many appreciate its classic design and accuracy, while some find the scroll wheel noisy and the weight a bit heavy. A few users reported issues with the cable and overall functionality. I had the original and it lasted me 13 years. Bought this as a replacement. Textured side seems to be better than original and I think I like the sort of micro glitter than the original blueish dent look. Scroll wheel however, should’ve been upgraded in my opinion. Feels ancient compared to even Logitech G203. I keep it around for one of the desktop pcs.

I had the original and used it for 15 years and still have it. The cord got yanked and I was going to fix it and still might. Then came across this one while searching for a replacement cord and it was on sale for $20ish, So I bought 2. It feels the same and has the exact same layout with a better sensor.

There's a reason why Logitech keeps bringing this mouse back, and with the HERO sensor its stupid good. If you got an MX518 I'd pick this up. If you got a mouse already, pick this up anyways. If you have a computer, pick this up.

I had the original MX518 and loved it. This one is the same size and feel which is good. Now the bad. The wheel is not very precise and after going to Logitech website, there is no software support like it says it the description.

I love this mouse to death. The shape and feel is exactly the same as the old MX518. It's called a classic for a reason. I play first person shooters more seriously than the average Joe. I have tried many different mouse shapes and this is my favorite one for competitive play.

I like the feel and accuracy of the mouse, except for the scroll wheel. It feels as though it has too much resistance, and is not smooth. If the scroll wheel is not important to you, then this mouse is a good choice. If the scroll wheel is important to you, then I recommend that you check out other Logitech models.

This has been my favorite mouse for years. The last one I bought before the 2 new ones I bought from Best Buy I bought on eBay. That one cost me as much as the 2 from Best Buy, Great mouse without too many buttons at a great price. They just work. Definitely recommend!

The quality of this MX518 is not like the ones I had a decade ago. They trimmed all the fat on this to bring it to you at a lower pricepoint. It still works like a champ and has all the same buttons but the parts are much cheaper and there are no weight cartridges anymore. I'm still happy with the bargain I got on discount.

I have always found logitech to be on of the more reliable brands. I am talking to you razer in terms of peripherals. This is a remake of a mouse I once had back in the 2000s. I have nostalgia for the design and it has a really good, modern, sensor to boot.

It is so light and feels so cheap and you can tell the plastic body is extremely thinly made. There's no lights or RGB at all. The scroll wheel is a definite downgrade compared to the G502. It feels cheap and less precise compared to the one on the G502.

I used to own the original version of this mouse until the rubber started degrading. So excited when they released an updated version with a better sensor. Feels great, just like the original, maybe they could have added some RGB lighting to update it even more.

The original MX 518 is the best mouse ever created. I wish I had bought 100 of them when they came out so I'd have enough until I died.
Logitech must've understood it was their best mouse because they've tried to recreate it with this new MX 518. Does it succeed? In some ways yes, in a lot of ways no.

Bought this to replace my older mx518 which was wearing down after many years of gaming. Great ergos, and now with an updated sensor used in the new mx518s make it a great gaming mouse for people who don’t need crazy rgb lighting or extra frills

The MX518 series are literally the best mice ever made. Durable, comfortable, and reliable. Replaced a still-working 15+ year old MX518 original with this bad boy. I saw this one and just decided it was time to retire it and try a G.

I used the original MX518 for years and still using it now as I'm typing this. It's one of the best mouse I've ever used. Logitech now revise it and makes it with even better sensor. You can't go wrong with this mouse for 20 bucks.

Haven't used this one yet. It's my 3rd one Number 2 is still good and running strong. Like it very well or wouldn't have brought a third one. Also much cheaper than #2 by almost 50%. Been a while since brought #2.

Great mouse. Comfortable and easy to use. Dpi adjustments on the fly if you need. Bought for a replacement of my original mx518 that I had loaned my child so I could get my old one back. They love it.
