I've tried the M1 MacBook Pro, Dell XPS 13, Surface Laptop, and ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6 - this one beats them all. The versatility is what sets it apart: you are getting great battery life with best-in-class display, keyboard, and features. The 3:2 aspect ratio is a gamechanger as it allows me to get work done and see more on the page when writing documents or browsing. The 3Kx2K OLED display is the standout feature of this device, and has unmatched brightness, color accuracy, and black levels when compared to the 4K IPS panels on the ThinkPad and XPS. I am getting 8-10 hours of battery life, which is much improved compared to the ThinkPad and XPS. Performance is great and I am enjoying lots of the smart features on this device, like the auto-brightness, Windows Hello facial recognition, and dedicated keys to cut off the microphone and camera. The trackpad is much-improved from prior generations, as it is much larger (comparable to that of a MacBook). The speakers are even competitive with the MacBook speakers, and blow away the offerings from Dell, Microsoft, and Lenovo. I love how the laptop comes with a braided charging cable, a leather carrying sleeve, and an active pen. It really adds value to the purchase, and the pen is one of the best I have used. I love how it clips onto the side of the laptop magnetically for easy storage when not in use! I only have a few (minor) complaints for HP to improve in the next generation. First, they should take a page out of the ThinkPad playbook and shift the arrow keys downwards into the chassis to fit full-size arrow keys for up and down. That is something that the ThinkPad gets right and is just a minor inconvenience, but one nonetheless. Next, the palm rejection on the trackpad could be improved. Sometimes I would get accidental touches while typing, and it certainly isn't at the level of Apple's palm detection. Finally, I wish HP moved one of the Thunderbolt ports over to the left side of the device and added an HDMI port. This would allow me to charge from either side of the laptop. If they want to keep them both on the same side, the left side is better than the right side because the charging cable gets in the way of a mouse if you have one connected. The HDMI port is useful in settings like offices and classrooms where people haven't made the switch to USB-C yet. It would be nice not to have to use a dongle when presenting something. Overall, I would definitely recommend this laptop to anyone who does not need the brute power of something with a discrete GPU. Well done HP!

As far as 3:2 ratio laptops go, you do not have many choices. But if OLED is of interest, this is pretty much your only option right now. So far it's been a great laptop, the black and bronze look grows on you. The screen is gorgeous but beware, if you are PWM sensitive, avoid. If you don't know what that is, then don't worry, all is well. Other than the fan kicks on because it gets toasty on more media or heavy usage, it is a great thin and light, unfortunately heat and thin go hand in hand. But there are far more positives to this laptop than negatives. bang for the buck, nothing else touches this spec wise, especially when it goes on sale.

This laptop is probably the best small laptop I’ve ever had. I use it for work and personal and with the 16GB RAM and 1TB it’s able to run all of my applications and store any data without issue! The OLED screen is amazing, I’ve seen some are worried about the battery drain with this screen, I don’t have that issue. I’m able to get a normal full days work out of the battery. I also have the thunderbolt port running a USB-C dock that powers dual screens and multiple USB’s. I have no complaints and have no doubt the build quality will allow this machine to last me many years!

As someone that has had subpar experiences with HP, this is a great 2-1. I’ve used and tried a lot of 2-1 laptops and this is my favorite. Performs great, screen is bright, 3:2 ratio is excellent. Decent battery life for an OLED. I did end up returning it though... but that’s just because my fingers are a bit too big for the keyboard... but the keyboard is great, just a personal preference. Highly recommend this lap top.

Excellent laptop. The taller 3:2 aspect ratio screen makes doing excel sheets a lot easier and I can see more rows at once. Also better for writing code. I benched the CPU in this, it's actually 1-2% faster than the i7-10700k I have in my desktop, when you compare singlethreaded. It only has 4 cores so multi perf is about half though. My last laptop was a L*novo T470p. This is definitely lighter and even a bit more powerful with comparable battery life. The keyboard size is the same, but the bezels are gone and it's much thinner. Things to watch out for if you are checking out this pc -- 1. The wacom touchpen grid over the screen looks like microscopic chickenwire. If you are closer than 1.5ft you will see it. It doesn't bug me and I hardly notice it anymore. Otherwise, the screen is excellent and very bright with great contrast (it's an oled). 2. QA is not very consistent. If you can, buy this in-person so you can return or exchange if you have issues. There were no issues on mine, but if you order online, you could be stuck with a 1-2month turnaround, and HP's support doesn't have a stellar track record. 3. Sound is decent, but ultimately not super loud. My Pixel 4a plays music louder than this. Not gonna replace your bluetooth speakers, but it's fine for working right in front at the keys. Ultimately, this is a better value and specs than pretty much any L*novo except for the Yoga 7i, but that one still has a 16:9 screen. After using this taller screen I just can't go back. The keyboard is just about as good as a Thinkpad, though there is obviously no trackpoint. On the plus side, the touchpad is very high quality and quite large. If you're looking at this one (the 14"), get it instead of the Spectre X360 13". Everything about it is better, and it's not really even that much bigger. I'd only get the smaller one if all you do is watch netflix or 16:9 content. This 14 incher's 3:2 tall screen is just that much better for normal computery stuff.

I've had this laptop for about 3 weeks now and I love it. My father had purchased one a year or two ago and has seen no decrease in speed or battery life which was a big seller for me. The hardware is phenomenal, the look is sleek, and it's light weight. One charge lasts all day meaning I never have to bring the charger with me. Plus coming with a free leather carrying sleeve and a stylus was a great bonus. The 2-in-1 feature comes in handy when drawing and signing documents. Intend to use this laptop for a very long time.

I bought this laptop about two weeks ago. That same day I brought it home, I noticed the Tab key was not working properly. I took it into best buy the next week and they noticed the issue was the manufacture's fault. I exchanged it with another one and the same day I brought that one home, I got the windows "blue screen". The laptop crashed a few times that day. Luckily, I found out the BIOS was not up to date through the HP Support Assistant software. That seems to have resolved the issue and it no longer crashes. Besides those issues, I have been absolutely loving this laptop. Its small and lightweight but so powerful at the same time. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for small, compact, speedy, beautiful laptop. In my opinion, it's definitely worth the price tag.

I consider it a small lap top, great to travel. It’s an elegant laptop, you can’t beat the look. It turns on fast and when searching internet is also very fast. Can’t complain about the battery life but I thought I was going to get more of every charge, I’m not impressed. Touchscreen is very accurate. I’m still working to set the colors of the cámara, hopefully later on I can give an update. Previous model tent to overheat but I haven’t had that issues with this model. So far vim loving my new laptop.

Honestly this is one of the best laptops I’ve ever used. I have tried probably over 20 laptops in the past three years trying to find one that I want to stick with, and this is the one. It has a better keyboard than the Dell XPS, and a better aspect ratio on the screen for working on it. The resolution and screen colors are beautiful. The sound that comes out of it is excellent for something this size. It looks classy and being able to quickly turn it into a tablet is awesome. The included pen works nearly as good as the Apple Pencil on an iPad Pro. Plus the battery life is 6-7 hours for internet browsing and using tools like excel or word which is very good. It’s not as powerful as larger laptops or gaming ultrabooks, but as long as you’re not a gamer then this laptop works great. It runs cooler editing photos on Adobe Lightroom than my 2019 16” MacBook Pro did, and that thing had a core i9 in it. Ridiculous. Plus, apples laptops don’t have touch screens and this one does. You’d be surprised how often that comes in handy. All in all, if you’re using this laptop for personal use, business use, or for school, it can’t be beat. Best typing and user experience. Buy it and you won’t regret it.

I wanted to love this, I really did. I’m not going to talk about HPs weird keyboard design, that’s totally personal preference, but it’s weird as the page up/down and the end/home buttons are on the right side so you will inevitably press them when you type. The screen is utterly magnificent. It’s a 4K OLED, and every second of every minute you use this laptop you will be in awe of the screen. It truly is gorgeous. The battery is not bad even though it’s 4K. This laptop will pretty much do anything you want except heavy gaming. I mean I play runescape I got maybe medium graphics on a low ping world-as expected, this is not for gaming. It’s incredibly light and very very portable. The case it comes with is very boojie as well and just very nice. I returned this laptop because of one thing and one thing only, a loose trackpad. I did an exchange first, and both had the same issue. Don’t know if this is Best Buy’s fault or HP, but you guys seriously need to get on that right away, this is a $1700 computer, not a $400 pavilion. I really would’ve kept it if this were not a problem. There was one other thing that bothered me though and that was that I couldn’t get the pen to work. Charged it overnight, read through the instructions thoroughly, whatever, just didn’t work. Couldn’t seem to connect it over Bluetooth. That could’ve been an easy fix if I did another exchange so I wouldn’t say thats a common problem because i don’t know; I maybe was missing something or it was just an unfortunate coincidence but I just don’t think it worked. If it did work however, I’d say that it was nice and fit very nicely on the side as it was magnetic. Build design for this spectre is great. The 3x2 screen is just fabulous. Keyboard is personal preference, I didn’t like the layout however it does have ample key travel and decent tactile feedback. Trackpad just didn’t feel good even without the wobble but maybe that is personal preference as well. Screen was magnificent and I experienced 0 problems related to the screen and I think you will be happy with the screen I haven’t seen a laptop beat this screen it’s just great. The 2in1 option works great, it’s very very stable and does not bend at all, the laptop as a whole feels very ‘in place’ and does not move around when you don’t want it to. If you don’t mind HPs weird keyboards and you get one with a working pen and a trackpad that does not wobble, you will love this. It’s great for school and you will not feel it on your lap as it is super light. I wish my experience was better but unfortunately I just ordered a dell XPS 15 and I’m hoping not to suffer from quality control problems like I did with HP. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your laptop.

Love this computer. I almost didn't buy it because the young salesman didn't know what he was talking about but I trusted my research and I'm glad I did. The backlit keyboard was important to me. He said there wasn't one. He also said it didn't come with the pen. I spend $60 on one that I didn't need. I ended up keeping it as a back up. The speed and security features are top notch. Best laptop I've purchased. Super lightweight and great for on the go. I have a 17 in HP that is just too big and heavy.

The laptop has a solid construction, very powerful performance and a good screen size (a little taller compare to other 13" class laptop). The price is a little high in its class. The ease-of-use for this laptop is fair. Here are the improvements needed (1) add a power button on the side. The power button is on the keyboard, when the laptop is operating as a tablet, there is no way to turn it on without lifting the screen. Very inconvenient. (2) remove the last right column of keys. This is the only 13" laptop that has a key next to the "return" key. Very easy to mistype. (3) The screen bezel is too thin, the touchscreen near the bezel is too sensitive, literally changing the usability from a laptop to a tablet (by rotating the screen) will rearrange or close any open windows too. You have to re-arrange/re-open the windows again. Very annoying, not productive. (4) Plugin a power supply caused the screen to go blank for 1-2 seconds. You may think that the laptop has crashed. Unnecessary shock. (5) The tension of the keyboard is stiffer compare to other brands. You will need an extra force to push a key. For such a high end laptop, the ease of use is poor. HP please fix these.

hi yes i gave it a four but the computer is 5. the process was a 3-4 because i had a really bad shipping experience. I got this computer for my daughter because my daughter goes to college and runs a business. She loves the speed and how all her stuff for the business better then her apple. She loves the key travel on the key board. Some of the things she needs to do on this computer with her business but she has attempted and uses a wireless mouse. this computer has taught my daughter that PCs are better the Apple computers for businesses because she loves the office sweet and uses office everyday . She likes it better then her Mac. She asked to always use my HP desktop for her school work or business work then her Mac because she loves the key travel on the HPs so she convinced me to get her a HP for college and business. On February 18th I waited home all day for my computer and it never showed but was told it was delivered at 530pm so i was home all day and my husband and I went to find the UPS guy. We found UPS and he said he delivered it to another address so he went to get back to the house to get it. On this delivery he had it showed as I signed it and i never did but he said because of covid he can not get signatures so I will never order anything online over $100 unless it's same day delivery or in stock pick up because i don't trust UPS
